Das Queens Bett war für zwei Personen zu klein. In den großen Raum passt auch locker ein Kings Bett.

The beds were comfy and the room was quiet. The location was great for us to be at the boat dock early in the morning for our boat tour. Breakfast was good but the dining room is fairly small and several of us ended up eating in the bar/lounge which was next door. The hot tub was great.

The breakfast was okay. More items, like more fruits. more muffins types.

The flooring tile on the main floor was lifting. The room windows were not cleaned on the outside. The building was clean but dated.

Location and very helpful staff

Breakfast was awful. Cheap food / ingredients. Appalling we should have to use a wooden spoon to eat our yoghurt.

Staff upgrades us to premier room and when we walked in the room smelt wet/mouldy. Asked for different room and moved to room with no a/c. Some we didn’t book the lower rate room they could not refund any money.

Condition of room. Chipped, scarred millwork; Beat up furniture; stains on chair. Bathroom fan not working. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Towels stained. Bath mat old and dingy. Bedroom floor dirty. Windows inside and out filthy. View was of a shopping mall parking lot; directly above a brilliantly lit late night convenience store. Crack heads. Was told to keep driving around the shopping Center until a space opened up for our free parking. Not a fan of large containers of shampoo etc for all hotel guests to use. No air conditioning. Portable fans in the room. Hallway carpeting dingy, stained with burns. Other hallway flooring improperly installed and lifting (spongy) We were very disappointed from a ‘Coast’ representative. Will not be back, nor recommend.

It was close to the water and the staff were friendly.

The room I was “upgraded” to had a horrible mould smell which I later realized was from the A/C unit leaking into the carpet - it was wet and gross and awful. The rooms were very very dated. Brown carpets and tiny bathrooms. YUCK.

Close to the water, shops and restaurants very handy.

The room was a little small for larger people

The Coast discovery is a very decent hotel and a wonderful location. Check-in was excellent. We had an issue trying to get our streaming services to playon the TV in our room. Call down and maintenance arrived very very quickly and dealt with the problem immediately. The included hot breakfast was decent, nothing exceptional but more than enough to see you through a busy day. We truly can’t say enough to compliment the hostess in the breakfast room. Her happy demeanour and bright smiling face was welcome every morning. Truly an asset.Our only true issue with hotel was housekeeping. On the first full day there we returned to the room late afternoon to find the room had not been made up. We encountered a housekeeping trolly in the hall and asked for some fresh coffee and fresh towels, which she was happy to give us. We let that go from there as we were staying in the room for the remainder of the day. The next day we returned to the roomvery late in the afternoon to again find that our room was not made up. Call down and advised the front desk and a housekeeper was sent upto take care of things. She did a great job but was a shame that at 5 PM. We had to actually call down for housekeeping. The third day we returned late in the afternoon again to find that the room had been sort of made up, and I use that term loosely.The covers had been pulled up on the bed, but the bed not truly made. None of the garbage was emptied, the recycling was still there, and the towels while fresh were not arranged as they should have been. We would probably stay there again despite this as the location, etc., was exactly what we needed.

The breakfast was very good as was the location. The room was a bit on the small side for a North American hotel as was the bathroom.

The room was a little on the small side. Fine for one person but it would have been tight for a couple.

When we arrived in Campbell River the temperature was 33C. We checked in, walked up to our room and discovered there was no air conditioning. Instead we had a window that opened about 6 inches and a fan. Unacceptable. The view was awful...out of the window was a flat roof which had several air con units positioned on it. As we had a room without air con this felt like an abolute insult. The room also failed to have a safe...I honestly can not remember the last time I stopped in a hotel room without a safe. Finally breakfast...without a doubt the worst hotel breakfast I have had. Both the choice and quality were dreadful. By the 2nd day here of our 3 day stay we were looking at finding an alternative hotel for our 3rd night. It was a very depressing place to stop and should be avoided at all costs. We stopped in 6 different hotels in our holiday across Canada and this was the worst one we stopped in (and it's not even close).

Location next to Homalco tours departure point. An earring was left in the room and cleaning staff handed it in, I was able to retrieve it later in the day. Thank you housekeeping staff for your diligence and honesty. Reception staff were very helpful.

Breakfast was great, we enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast and the fresh waffles were excellent. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We found the bed was very comfortable.

The room was extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable. I haven’t slept this well in ages. The hotel is right near the marina where are the whale watching tours depart. Very convenient for us.

The hotel looks a little dated. But because everything is so clean and well kept, this is not a problem. We found it kind of charming.

At first glance an ordinary run of the mill downtown corporate hotel, but it grew on us. The view over the coast was amazing, the location is perfect, next to a newish strip mall with all the essential shops, and within walking distance of restaurants on the front and downtown. Room was clean and quiet. Bathroom large and easy to access. Breakfast was freshly cooked and presented, limited buffet but certainly enough for everyone to chose what they wanted.

I liked the warm welcome upon our arrival. After finding our room and unpacking we made our way to Happy Hour, where we found the wonderful servers Jo and Ricky. They looked after us very well. We also enjoyed the happy hour appetisers. We met chef Jarrit and enjoyed lovely conversation with a local man. Our second night we were back for more, meeting more new people, enjoying once again the wonderful food prepared by Chef Jarrit.

That we couldn't stay longer

We stayed one night in Campbell River. Our room at Coast Discovery Inn had a few nicks and scratches but overall was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast in the morning was good with decent hot items. Easy walking distance to other area restaurants. I left a small item in our room and the staff were very efficient in locating it and having it ready for me to pick up a few days later. I would stay here again.

We stayed in CR for one night only, picked up a room at the Discovery Inn as we've stayed there in the past. Pricing of the room was fair. Our room assignment was 101, which was a larger room with a kitchenette. The room itself was great, other than the bed sagging (reported to management). Outside the room, through the early evening, there was a maintenance door that kept getting slammed, other than that our stay was great. The complimentary hot breakfast was well received.

At first, we were given an accessible room for people with disabilities, and the smell inside was absolutely terrible. I asked to change the room, and they moved us to the room next door. However, the new room was connected to the previous room by shared interior doors between the two rooms. Even though the doors were locked, the sound isolation was terrible. Every time the people staying in the accessible room opened or closed their main entrance door, the air pressure caused the shared interior doors between our rooms to bang loudly, constantly waking us up and making it impossible to sleep properly. On top of that, I could clearly hear conversations, movements, and other noises from the neighboring room as if the walls did not exist. The room itself was also extremely dirty. There was dust everywhere — above the bed, on the lamps, and on the bedside tables. The carpet looked filthy, and the bathroom floor was sticky. The entire room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. On top of that, the bathroom light was constantly flickering, and there was even someone else’s hair left on the bathtub walls. This room was absolutely not worth the nearly $200 price tag. For that amount of money, I expected at least a clean, quiet, and properly maintained room, but instead the experience was completely unacceptable. Overall, this was a horrible experience, and I would never stay here again.

Only booked wit a 3 day window. Asked for a room up high. They were most accomadating Room was very clean and breakfast exceptional.

Had a little trouble finding the main entrance. Not where it should have been. No where near the main building. No A/C. And this is only May.

Our stay was lovely, the room was very spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was amazing, there was so much food and all kinds of options, way better than some of the other breakfast buffets I've had! Actual quality food and always being restocked. Great breakfast hours, didn't feel rushed to get down there, but they also started the buffet early enough to accommodate for those who needed it too. We had a view of the waterfront even on the 2nd floor and felt very safe. Being close to all the restaurants and shops was lovely, we went for an evening walk and then got some delicious croissants at Freya in the morning! We had an excellent stay.

The only thing that was negative was that the doors were very loud, the room next to us kept opening and closing their door to the hallway at 8am. Could be because we stayed in a connected room, even though the connecting doors were closed an locked, it might've been worse for soundproofing.

It was fine - hotel is a bit tired

The area directly around the hotel is becoming a bit sketchy. A similar set of social issues throughout most of the city though.

Its location, cleanliness, and the buffet breakfast

For an overnight, everything was good, central (I was on foot), and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was more than ample.

At night the bathroom ventilation system would like as if you are abroad an airplane and will not stop. Staff says they will “check” on it and takes 40 minutes to do so. Fridge also has leftover packaged takeout “sauce” from what looks like someone’s Caesar salad sauce

The mattress had a protruding spring which may be due to a broken coil or a worn padding. No microwave in the room. Shortage of staff as they seemed to be multi-tasking.

Close to everything in town and easy to access from the highway, big clean room, helpful staff, nice view from the window. Breakfast was good too with a range of foods

TV quality and size was not up to the standard of your other renovations, and there was no usb outlet or adaptors available in our room. These problems were very minor. Love your new rents.

The room was too far from the reception and the gym The cover of the hot tup in the gym was pretty heavy and annoying. I think it would be better to install a (partition) wall to separate the hot tup from the gym space if you are concerned about indoor humidity. When I just let go of the room door, it didn't close properly and I heard a warning sound. So I had to push or pull hard on the door to make sure it closes all the way.

What there was of brealfast was good. Room was clean & building was quiet. Close to the waterfront & old downtown. Staff friendly & allowed us a 12 noon checkin.

Breakfast was supposed to be warm breakfast, it was good, but not warm. The location is good, but exiting the hotel is not good at all as the traffic light never turn red for oncoming traffic on both directions. It's very hard and dangerous to come out of the hotel, even in the early Sunday morning. Hotel mattress is small and hotel room is well equipped but very tight. Certainly not worth the money we paid for.

Nice, clean room on 3rd floor overlooking the ocean. with a TV, fridge, and coffee maker. Breakfast in the buffet bar was very good.

The hot tub is basically in the floor in the middle of the fitness room. Needs to be segregated from all the other equipment to keep the condensation down. Jets didn't work anyway.

My room was right beside the highway, and it got loud at about 530 in the morning. I found some earplugs at shoppers, which helped with the rest of my stay.

Overall, the location was great, central to everything we wanted to see. It was also nice to have the complementary breakfast.

The bathroom didn't have a dedicated fan, and not sure if it was working or not (didn't hear it, if it was on), the bathroom was hot, tight for space. As for the queen bed, close to the window, the springs were too squeaky, kept us awake. There was also an old popsicle box in the small fridge / freezer, which still had a few popsicles left. The wall electrical outlet in the bathroom will need to get checked, lack of power, and the reset button didn't work.

Breakfast was amazingly delicious. Room was clean . Staff were pretty kind and expert.

Some guests were loud and we could hear them clearly from even two blocks away.
