Room was clean and comfortable.

I thought the breakfast was poor, even though limited choice, it could be presented so much better. The majority of the coffee/tea cups were stained.

Good size room and large balcony- obviously an older hotel so quite rambling and lots of stairs- there is a lift, hidden away, and it would have been helpful to know that at check in . Staff good and nice indoor swimming pool and great Thai massage spa. The views from the restaurant were fantastic.

We were excited to have breakfast included- whilst we did not expect a full cooked breakfast, the buffet was below the minimum of a ‘continental’ type meal. It consisted of just two types of cereal, two sliced breads to toast and a waffle maker. There were no yoghurt, fruit, cheese or meats. A few basic improvements, given this frequent feedback, could elevate this hotel to much higher rating.

Nach 10 Jahren wollten wir hier nochmal übernachten und wurden nicht enttäuscht.Die Lage mit direktem Blick auf das Wasser ist einfach wunderbar. Leider haben wir auch dieses Mal keine Wale gesehen, ersatzweise gab es Kreuzfahrtschiffe.Die Zimmer bzw das gesamte Hotel wurden renoviert und macht einen guten Eindruck.Ich hatte zwei Sachen im Zimmer vergessen, die ich auf der Rückfahrt abholen konnte. Gästewaschmaschine und Trockner gab es auch,die gut genutzt wurden.

Wie in jeder Unterkunft unserer Reise ist das Frühstück sehr spartanisch. Es gab zwar Rührei,Bratkartoffeln und Würstchen, aber leider nur lauwarm. Hier war es ohnehin im Preis inkludiert. Extra buchen würden wir es nicht.

Need more staff in the restaurant as it was very busy and popular. Yoghurt for breakfast as part of the complimentary breakfast would be nice.

Loved the room and balcony location for our sunrise view!

The views were incredible

Had no idea there were no elevators to the top floors. My husband just had back surgery and it made it difficult to bring bags up and down.

The hotel has been nicely renovated with tasteful decor, comfy beds, and a decent included breakfast or coupon towards breakfast menu items. Everything was clean, and it was great to be able to use the guest washer ($4/load) and dryer (free, but very slow drying). Staff were friendly. Restaurant has an amazing view and we enjoyed watching herons, seabirds, and a river otter along the shore.

Looking out from floor 4 you see a lot of roof area and there are noisy roof vents going 24/7. I was disappointed that there was no longer a hot tub, but the pool was clean and quite warm, and shallow enough for my child to touch everywhere (1.2 m). Basic rooms are quite small for a family, but luckily we were able to upgrade to the family suite.

Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Service was a little slow in the restaurant at dinner but worth the wait as the food exceeded expectation - one of the best fillet mignon I’ve had!

The shower had an issue. When I ran the water in the tub to get the right temperature and then turned on the shower it seemed as if the water got reduced. It was lukewarm at best

The dinner at the restaurant on the Friday we were there was good. Location is good. Good View

I was very disappointed with this hotel and really wanted to give it a good review. The staff are not very friendly and make you feel like your bothering them if you ask for something. We had alot of miscommunication, the hotel deck had no food for 2 days in a row and did not communicate. Everything was told it is because of a wedding. Not very professional to treat their other guests poorly because of a wedding party, If that is the case don't take on extra bookings. The hotel smelt like smoke throughout the hotel on the wedding nights which was unpleasant for those dining in the restaurant. Unless you are having a wedding there they dont care.

The location has water views that were lovely and it was a nice walk into town. The beds were very comfy.

Room was clean and cleaning product scent free. Very comfortable room/beds. The lady running the breakfast room was super friendly and helpful.

Wildly expensive for such a beat up old hotel.

The staff - Specifically Journey in dining, Toni in the Lounge and the older lady who greets everyone at breakfast. Were absolute delights and turned my frown upside down.

Afew mishaps with food and drinks but were corrected right away without fuss. There was no fan in the bathroom in one of our rooms. No hot tub. No freezer compartment in the little fridges. Made it difficult for us with fish. I had a couple of giant spiders from the bottom of the upstairs balcony to my railing. I have arachnophobia so I did not use my balcony at all. I cancelled my original booking at coconut spa to make a couples massage appointment for my daughter and I. I made the couples appointment online for 5. When we went to check in the spa said we didn’t have an appointment.

The one complaint I have is that the 6th & 7th floors are stairs only and made it difficult for my wife who is partially disabled. This may have been posted on there web site but should be a question asked at booking

The newly renovated room was very well done. Comfortable furniture and bed. The view as always is spectacular. The staff in the whole facility were very friendly and helpful.

My fault, but when I booked and asked for the top floor I didn't realize that the elevator only serviced the first 4 floors. We are seniors and were on the 7th floor! The staff very kindly carried our luggage up when we arrived. It was a bit of a journey to the dining room on the third floor.

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable beds and quiet room with a view. The breakfast included was ok would have been nice to have fruit of some sort to have at breakfast.

Easy access to downtown, wonderful water views from hotel, staff was friendly, room with the balcony was roomy enough. Reception was able to get us a better room than what we booked. All was good.

Breakfast was ok, not much variety and scrambled eggs were often hard instead of soft. Screen door to balcony had a hole in by handle, probably because it was sticky to open.

On the water and you could see Cruise ships sailing by in the evening. Good location to reach downtown. It was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly and accommodating.

No elevator to the top 2 floors, we were on floor 7 and we had to use the stairs to get to the restaurant on floor 3!! My wife and I are seniors and that was challenging for us !

I didn't eat the breakfast at the location, as it was several flights of stairs down from my room and I have mobility issues.

There was no indication either while booking or on their website that the top half of the hotel does not have an elevator, and no rooms were available upon check-in on the lower floors that are serviced by an elevator. With my mobility issues, I would not have booked the room if I had this information when booking.

The view was exceptional from the balcony! The complimentary breakfast was good. The room was very clean but very dated.

For the prices they charge at the restaurant, you would think the decor and furniture would be a lot nicer. The hallway smelled weird. It was strange you had to drive down the steep driveway and enter through the back of the building.

I liked that it was easy to catch a bus just outside and see the whole town. I needed info about the bus schedule and the front staff took the time to figure it out and show me how. The restaurant was fabulous, my fish and chips was crispy and delicious, my cooler cold! The view is exactly why I chose to stay here and I was not disappointed...I got to witness the cruise ship convoy at midnight from my balcony! I've never experienced this and was really moved, a true coast experience. My room was clean and comfy and I found the breakfast ample and fresh. I was here on a Monday so it was pretty quiet overall, just sounds of waves! Loved it here...I needed the exercise to the 7th floor! LOL

The pool was out of service so that was a bit of a bummer. Otherwise no complaints.

During our 4 night stay, from the oceanview rooms and restaurant we saw Orcas, seals, harbor porpoises and eagles. Cannot recommend the location enough. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable.

Four of us stayed one night, midweek. Our room was clean. Our beds and pillows were comfortable. We had air conditioning. They had free continental breakfast with nice views. Indoor pool/hot tub, closed. Book early and save.

It was… okay. Great location it’s seen better days there is an axe throwing area beside the hotel at the end of the parking lot it seemed really out of place. For a dog friendly hotel they had no grass. The view is spectacular and the breakfast was good.

Well where can you find a hotel with an elevator that only services 4 floors out of seven [Anchor inn is where] the top 3 floors do NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR I cannot believe that this hotel can carry the name Best Western It was very inconvient that we had two days of no elevator we are 87 years old and we were not happy with this situation and will NOT stay there again.

This is a great hotel! Friendly, helpful service. Beautiful room with awesome views. Restaurant & food were great too. My steak was cooked to perfection (rare). Our server, Kei was fun! Close to town, I would recommend the Anchor to all!

Ich gehe davon aus, dass wir eines der „kürzlich“ renovierten Zimmer hatten. Wir hatten zwei große, sehr bequeme Betten. Das Zimmer supersauber, das Bad mit allem ausgestattet. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist für den, der es mitbucht, ausbaufähig.

Außer der Toaster, der ewig braucht, gibt es nichts zu bemängeln.

The location and views are great. Having guest laundry facilities was a plus.

The breakfast could use some help. Breakers would blow if you used the toaster and the waffle maker at the same time. Labels on the waffle batter would be helpful. So would the use of real eggs.

The place is undergoing some renovation, which is great, but a bit messy in the hallway on the way to the restaurant. Maybe clear the halls and store everything in an empty room, or the out of service pool area?

Very comfortable bed, warm/cool enough; nice & wuiet, able to park close to our room.

Your toilet paper was too thin & flimsy! (Should upgrade a bit!). Pretty dark, hard to do much reading in bed!
