We were a little confused about the breakfast. I thought they said there was a free continental breakfast at check-in but I wasn't sure. My husband went down to eat and he said he didn't see anything about a continental breakfast so he just ordered off the menu. I told him he should've asked the server but he did not.

Parking

Great location on Agate beach

I asked for handicap room and the bathroom was excellent, the room itself was very small. I did mention this at the desk and was told for handicap access they had to remove some items from the room. The room itself was so small I don't think a wheelchair would fit. Our view of the ocean was partially obstructed by trees. Looking out our windows was a view of the dog bathroom area.

The staff was very attentive.

It sounded like our next door neighbors were coming in our room every time they came in or out of their room.

The room and the view were lovely.

Loved the location. The outdoor patio space and heaters are so welcoming! Love the three deck chairs on the raised decking for the beach overlook - great photo spot too - using the property as your backdrop or photos of the beach.

A few missteps in service at both dinner and lunch. Our servers were fantastic! For the price point, it's really a core service training issue that can be easily corrected and defined. The only other issue was the value of our room ( again - for the price point). Our room once had an obvious leak from the ceiling, it was noticeable upon entry as you look across the room the poor maintenance fix caught your eye. I think that they were rushed for the job or kept filling the room and never quite had the chance to finish up the ceiling fix. I did report it to the front desk, these things do happen, however, prompt inspections after a job can easily correct the unsightly mess that might leave some wondering if it's safe or worth the price of stay. We will definitely be back!

First time staying at this Best Western Plus hotel. I only stayed one night, but I found the room clean and spacious. The mattress was quite comfortable. I was on the top floor and had a wonderful ocean view with a step out balcony. The staff at the desk, checking in and checking out were very friendly. I had a drink and small amount of food at the bar and can also recommend that. The bartender was friendly and the food was very good.

Little things bug me like sitting out at the fire pits in the evening and no one at the hotel would come out and light the fire pits it should be a no-brainer when a group of people sitting around it and it's a little chilly out to have them lit.

Staff from entering, room cleaning, restaurant, all were friendly & professional, they answered questions and treated us with respect and like they had known us forever.

Didn’t like that because I booked through booking.com she would not give us an ocean view room only a hillside room.

It had a pool and spa. And the pool was warm.

There wasn’t a continental breakfast because they have an on-site restaurant. It was $13 for oatmeal so we went somewhere else to eat. I would have liked at least cheaper options for breakfast since $13 for oatmeal is insane.

Loved how close it was to beach access, how accessible all the amenities were, and my family loved the room.

The restaurant is very slow and pricey.

Fantastic property with ocean view rooms and a short walk to an expansive beach. Nicely remodeled in pastel colors and big windows to bring in plenty of natural light. Rooms were very spacious with a nice layout for the bathroom. Would love to stay here again!

Loved the location. Atmosphere was great, calm and cozy. Restaurant was unreal. Get the cheese cake. The breakfast amazing what the Cluck chicken breakfast sandwich. Get an ocean facing room. Pool was great and warm. Clean spacious. Just awesome

It was very noisy. Slamming of pool door, ice machine clanking, child screaming in next room. Little sleep was had.

Price on food was a little high.

My room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a view of the beach and ocean. Bathroom was well equipped and my bed ( mattress ) had just the right support, not hard or too soft.

The cleanliness and over all appeal of the hotel, friendly staff, great on-site restaurant.

The bathroom door in our room was in need of repair, also an extra blanket in the room would be a nice addition.

The view from the room was great, everything was clean, and the staff was awesome.

The biggest downfall was the sliding barn door for the bathroom. It gave no real privacy at all, not great for a stepfather travelling with a teenage daughter and her Mom.

Beautiful property that is next to the beach feels like it’s secluded and out of the city without being far from things.

We loved everything about or stay.

The view from our room was beautiful. Staff helped us efficiently when needed. Location was perfect for sight seeing in Newport.

The hotel evacuated at midnight because of someone smoking in their room. We did not evacuate because our smoke alarm didn't work. We didn't even wake up during the evacuation. Scary if it was a real fire.

The sea glass bistro was amazing, reasonably priced for the quality and service. The short walk to the beach was pretty cool to. All the staff that I encountered were very nice and helpful.

The beach view and acess was wonderful! My breakfast in Sea Glass Restaurant was delicious!

The King size bed was uncomfortable, sank in the middle.

The location was perfect

Traveling with grandchildren. Stopped early for the evening in hopes of swimming and hot tub. They have a policy of no kids after 9:00 PM. The Hot tub was full of a group of older women that stayed until 9:00 and then left. I had a 14 and 16 year old with me so not a lot of screaming going on but we had to leave at 9:00

Great bed. And the on-site restaurant Seaglass was off the charts. Great location, easy walk to the beach beautiful day that we had made it even better.

The staff checking is in. We’re just OK. They could’ve been more friendly. I will say they were good about moving us to a different room, but our first room put us right next to the pool where all the kids were. It’s not conducive to a good night rest.

As I said, great place to stay phenomenal, clean great views the staff were so professionally efficient and helpful. Great food. There’s nothing bad about this place at all. It’s a gem.

The view. We could see the beach and ocean but our view was also of the tin roof and the rusts on it which was not a nice view.

This place is phenomenal. It was our best day of our 14 days on the road clean neat organized wonderful wonderful people. The staff could not have been nicer. I remember Lindy being very good. She got us wine glasses when we bought a bottle of wine and Rita was very professional and sweet at check-in. The dinner at the restaurant inside was very lovely. Great place to stay don’t pass this one up if you’re going down the Oregon coast.

I arrived after a very long drive, tired and completely discombobulated. The young woman at the front desk immediately sensed how overwhelmed I was and went out of her way to make everything right. She helped me switch currencies for payment and even changed my room when I wasn’t sure about the first one. Her kindness and empathy turned what could have been a stressful evening into a wonderfully relaxing stay. This was one of the hotels I stayed at along the Oregon coast, and I gave it a full 10/10. I’m not usually this effusive in reviews, but she truly made all the difference. What an amazing young woman — she felt my stress and fixed it all with a smile. Highly recommend!

The restaurant on site it’s quite expensive the food it’s not bad but i could say it doesn’t worth it specially with so many great restaurants close to the restaurant with way better taste and price

Dog area was not convenient. Needed a nightlight in the bathroom.

I've stayed in both the ocean view and non-ocean view rooms when attending conferences at the Agate Beach Inn. The rooms themselves are a little plain—the furniture is pretty no-frills but in good shape. Views from the ocean view rooms are lovely, and staff has been nothing but kind and professional. The only real downside is that when booking a room in a room block over the phone, it can take several attempts to get through, and we aren't provided a code we could use to book those rooms online. In the future it would be really great if conference room blocks could be provided some method to book from the room block online, so we don't have to inundate the front desk with calls! The conference space is adequate, but the lighting surrounding the projector screens make slideshows hard to read, especially if you're seated slightly off to the side rather than squarely in front of the screen. This wasn't an issue when I attended in 2025, so there may be new lightbulbs or aging projector lights affecting that quality. Overall, it's a pretty normal hotel with some lovely views and quality staff. If the views and easy beach access are worth it to you, it's probably worth the price; if you're looking for a luxurious room experience, it may be worth looking elsewhere.
