I am a big fan of the Rosewood group and this lives up to expectations of the brand. I arrived after a hiking trip where I had injured myself. The concierge and front desk were super helpful and sympathetic, offering up their first aid kit and ordering me what I needed from the pharmacy. They helped me get to my room and made sure I had what I needed, which was especially appreciated given how I was feeling! Food was excellent. Pool was excellent. Service was excellent. I took a DiDi everywhere so I can’t comment too much on the immediate location.
Only thing is that the bed was weirdly hard and that the pool was open to the public and so there were people doing laps and coughing a lot into the pool.
Always pleasant to stay
The location is good and staff provide very good service
The spa therapist is very good but it is located right above the bar. Hence there was loud music during the treatment
Noisy room over busy mega road. Very dark throughout the premises. Pretentious style. Young staff without experience and limited English speakers. Business location so nowhere to walk around at night.
Restaurants were good.
Totally wrong location. Dreadful area. Staff were useless. Language skills very lacking
The treat
Os quartos do hotel continuam muito bons, mas breve precisarão ser renovados
I like how clean the rooms were, the service was exceptional and room service was very prompt. The gym is also one of the best gyms I've been to.

The Country Kitchen Restaurent was excellent and room service breakfast was good.
Spa was block booked by a corporate for 4 days so was out of use. This was not mentioned when booking . Room very hot and stuffy for first 3 days - AC faulty. Old building so when it’s windy there is a terrible creaking sound in the ceiling that kept us awake all night. We received a preprinted note the next day informing us to wear ear plugs. Property is in the business district so not a good hotel for a leisure stay.
Feel like the rosewood is a secret well kept. From the concerige sophie who was just fantastic to the lovely staff in the lounge making great tea . The food and the service excellent.

Excellent room, lounge, breakfast and service
Everything, service, cleanliness, style
A bit hot temperature in the rooms
Super friendly staff and a comfortable bed, highly recommended!
had a great stay. the hotel is gorgeous and extremely comfortable.
check in was a bit chaotic, too many people and not too organised
The shopping options were great but one of the male members of concierge was rude. I was asking for directions to the bank from the female concierge and he felt I didn't stay at the hotel and got aggressive. I had to show him my room card for him to then realize I'm not a freeloader. Also the directions given to the bank near the railway station was closed undergoing repair.
Everything was perfect. We were incredibly well looked after by the staff. The attention to detail, from the concierge to the room cleaning, was exceptional. We could not have asked for a better stay. The facilities were beautiful and clean, and all amenities were of high quality. We didn’t want to leave.
Nothing
Charming, well kept and very helpful staff.
It is located in a very congested part of Beijing.
Nice room
The hotel is a solid 4 star experience. Like an average business hotel. It’s far from luxury if that is what you are looking for. The building itself seems to be repurposed and was probably designed for another purpose than hotel. The views from low and mid floors are looking into a neighbourhood that is one you would prefer not to see. The breakfast was not only busy with long lines of waiting, it was also at best average. Nothing to write about. Waiting time to check in and check out also long. Maybe they were understaffed or just not properly trained. Had a water leak in the room and it took them some time to fix. The bedding felt average, pillows were so so. The lifts are slow and seem they don’t use all lift packs, perhaps to save money. Again long waiting times. The more I think of it, this hotel isn’t good at all. Anyone that knows a good hotel would be disappointed. For the record this hotel has absolutely nothing in common with Rosewood in HK, which is a great hotel. Think like an upgraded Novotel or maybe an old Sheraton and you would be having the right expectations. Apologies for the honesty.
Food is great. Rooms are great. Beijing is relatively cheap right now. Great hotel
I particularly impressed with the room dining and the excellent service. The serving staff Venus was very efficient and polite with a lovely smile. I, in particular, liked the thoughtful presentation. Oboth was also very professional. The standard of food also exceeded my expectation, especially the beef noodle soup. On the whole, this is the best room dining service I have had so far travelling around the world in years. The club manager, Betty served us well in the club which is very relaxing. We even played some snooker. There are plenty of choices at breakfast - I particularly liked the Chinese pancakes and my morning coffee. Sandy serving at breakfast was very friendly. I also loved the Olympic size swimming pool and the jacuzzi set in a very tranquil atmosphere.
It would be good to have some oat milk in the room for my coffee.
1. There were friendly staff everywhere inside the hotel (however the guys with the hats outside were not so friendly). 2. The Gym was ok. It used Technogym equipment. It did not have the bike where you can sit with a backrest. It had an assortment of ezcurl bars but was missing a preacher curl bench. The free weights (dumbells) were rather light. However, it did have 2 stretching machines which I had not seen in any other gym in China. (The Ritz Carlton Xi'an Gym is still my favorite hotel gym in China) 3. Jennifer Zhao of the Manor area reception was friendly and helpful. My Mandarin is not the best but I managed to communicate with her. I left my kids to play pool at the pool table area which was great. 4. The bathtub in room 902 was nice and big. 5. There were 3 separate air conditioning controls in room 902. 6. There was a charging cable provided with both type c and iphone heads as well as a charging adaptor provided. 7. The rooms were very nicely decorated with statues, vases and artwork distributed everywhere. --------------- Now, to continue on the what I DIDN'T like section from below as there was not enough word limit. 8. The traffic outside the hotel is terrible. There are times when the traffic does not move so allow extra time when going to dinner reservations or activities. 9. The only mall for shopping nearby was 20 minutes walk and the shops there were all boring. There was nothing for kids. Crossing some of the roads to get there is very dangerous as the motorbikes in China do not follow any road rules. 10. There were limited options on the in house dining menu so we went next door to KFC. The KFC there tasted disgusting. 11. There is a nightclub on one of the floors so the foyer gets overcrowded at night as the club shares the same lift lobby as hotel guests. 12. Hotel is stingy on lotion as we only had a small tube in the bathroom to share between the family. My face was dry and skin peeling off.
1. Seating downstairs is very limited at only 4 seats. I found we (both families) had to stand half the time or sit outside in the cold when waiting for transport. 2. We had 2 rooms (901 and 902). 901 air conditioning not working so it was very hot. My kid could not stand it and moved to my room 902. The room 902 bedroom air conditioning kept making stuttering noises all night. FYI, we enjoy the cold and all hotels in China we have been to (all 5 stars) are stuffy and hot with centralised air conditioning that we cannot control. 3. The halls were also hot, dry and stuffy. 4. The Manor area on level 7 had a billiard/pool table room at the end. It was also super hot and stuffy. I dont know if that was by design to make people get out of the room.... On day 1, I got a whole bag of lays tomato chips. On day 2, they were stingy and only gave me a tiny bowl. However, they did remember what we liked to drink. It would have been great if they came and gave us refills automatically (there was literally no one else on the whole floor when we were there) instead of me having to walk 20 metres to ask. 5. The breakfast was rather limited. It is also strange that we have to get the salmon from a fridge. Again the seating area was hot and stuffy. It was fortunate that we could sit on the dining tables outside the buffet area (near the cake stand) where there was slightly better ventilation. 6. The rooms and halls and lifts were all charged with static electricity so my kids did not even want to touch the door handles. When I touched the air conditioning panels (for example), the panel would shock me and the numbers on the panel would go crazy and show 000000 222222 etc until the charges were moved. 7. Following from point above, the key cards are squares (unlike normal hotel key cards that are rectangular). This was very annoying as you would get shocked each time and drop it/hard to find.
it's a very nice hotel, I especially love the restaurant inside of the hotel, but if you want to walk at neighborhood around the hotel, I don't recommend.
Excellent stay!
Amazing cozy room. Cleaning twice a day. Fruits and sweets brought every day. Really enjoyed.
Cozy room with amazing view
Benedictine eggs
Friendly, efficient service
Location and noise Windows not double glazed, can hear traffic noise
Excellent location, luxurious decor and facilities . Great restaurants
Staff not well trained. At breakfast, there were lots of staff but I had to ask for coffee and milk a few times before someone finally brought it . Food was warm not not at the buffet table .
Amazing desig
Nothing Everything was Amazing
From the little details to the overall experience, this was luxury at its highest. We loved everything, but most of all the service was beyond what we could have expected.
The air con in winter season makes the room too dry, probably will choose to stay back in Summer next time.
It’s beautifully furnished
Great restaurants ( country kitchen - red bowl)
Very poor wifi strength, and mediocre in room dinning offer
Everything!
Nothing! It’s really an excellent hotel
excellent breakfast but always fully booked for lunch and dinner
fully booked for dining and luncheon
spacious room
people don’t speak English well
Amazing as usual
Excellent in all aspects.
Great design and interior, but rather poor service especially in the lobby, staff is not attentive and welcoming, a super 5 star facility but with a maybe 2 star service. Pity. Could be better...
My friends and I rented rooms at the Rosewood as we were attending a party at the hotel bar. We were awestruck by the luxurious accommodations. The rooms are absolutely beautiful with all the amenities you could possibly need. The spa and pool area are also quite stunning, pampering at its best. I look forward to another visit hopefully in the not so distant future.
one of my favorite hotels in the world, Luxurious and business-y yet so comfortable and easygoing
The hotel was perfect in every way. Highly recommended.
The service failed terribly for a luxury hotel. Staff has lost their smile, no greetings at night. No replacement of bathrobe, had to call housekeeping for another one. I felt unwelcomed for the entire stay. This was my first and shall be my last stay at Rosewood.
The staff at the Manor club are the best. They make the stay perfect & I recommend people use the Manor Club facilities.
Feels like home. Home, if you lived in a well maintained king's lodge :) A king that keeps up with the times. Watch TV while in bed, or turn on the mirror embedded TV while brushing your teeth. Set the mood with the push of a button, night-mode or full illumination. Hungry late at night? Order in some very delicious meals, all through the night. Maybe have a drink from the wide variety you'll find in the refrigerator and on the bar shelves. Then sleep in. No worries, breakfast is available until 12. Woke up early morning and want to work a bit? Separate A/C for the living area and bed area allows you to feel comfortable on the sofa while she's enjoying sleeping in a crisp cool air. Don't worry, the late checkout option gives you plenty of time to refresh before moving on to your next destination.
Beautiful property with very tasteful decor in the rooms. One feels at home. Very good restaurants and a small but nice garden where you can enjoy the sun
All decorations and service are good. Just a bit disappoint on cleanliness and accessibility.
Excellent Hotel; we had a most enjoyable time! We particularly liked the fact that all the staff were friendly, service was extremely good; and security was also top class.
