Full of character, lovely setting
Nothing
Lovely - charming well decorated and good location
Nothing really all good
Beautiful hotel, great location, excellent food and drinks.
It was a little noisy but didn't go on too late.
Mooie kamer, heel vriendelijk personeel.
Niet veel vegetarische keuzes. Ligt dicht aan de doorgaande weg.
Was so clean . And the outside area was stunning next to the river .
Everything was perfect . We had an issue when we had a steak at the restaurant but the staff were amazing and sorted straight away
From booking online to checking out, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond, the food was amazing and the room was beautiful
The staff were so personable as though they knew me and my dog and couldn’t do enough to help. The food was amazing and everything from parking, to room service (by request) was easy
Nothing negative to say
Beautiful room and fantastic surroundings.
Although the place was very nice. It was a little pricey compared to other places we've stayed at.
It’s very well located, rooms are relatively well maintained and sized. They have bicycles you can use to go around the village, which was a nice activity and the lobby is cosy and with access to the bar.
The place is ok, but far from what we were expecting for the price we paid. The bathroom was not perfectly clean, staff was not as nice and we had two weddings the same weekend which made it busy and noisy. I would come back, but for half the price.
Clean, cozy, would return,
La posizione è buona per visitare le Costwolds. L’arredamento gradevole sebbene sembri di essere sulle Dolomiti italiane nel periodo natalizio piuttosto che nella campagna inglese in estate
Mi è sembrata impersonale
Beautiful bedrooms, food outstanding, gorgeous setting.
The location by the brook
Doesn't look like the photos Overpriced for what it is - not sure why it's 4* given not even a mini bar or phones in the rooms
i loved the location, loved the look and style of the place.
The walls are so thin. i never had a good nights sleep sadly. Due to people walking around outside or sitting outside, and hearing the rooms to the left and the right of me, and above us. could hear talking, walking and moving furniture. The hotel needs 100% better sound proofing of rooms, i had the suite with the lake view. You assume it’s a lake and not a stream, had people outside the bedroom taking pictures with the stream lol so didn’t feel private with the curtains open. There was dogs everywhere lol i wanted to sit by the open fire at night and a couple kept letting their dog bark at anyone all night. Dog friendly hotel is certainly is, abit to many dogs for myself. The room looked clean at a glance but after dropping my earring and moving the bed, found mess! needs a good clean.
The hotel is perfectly located for driving to nearby places of interest, eg Bibury, the decor makes you feel as though you are in the Cotswolds - modern with a clean, rustic vibe with a lovely outside space for eating and drinking as well as the beautiful courtyard area. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Nothing!
Everything! Was a real treasure to have found this place - will definitely be revisiting

Great location beside the river in a beautiful old building with attractive rooms, comfortable beds and a good shower. Very welcoming staff.
It was a warm night, fans were available but had to be collected by residents. A fridge in the room would be useful. Our room looked onto the beer garden and there was some noise from drinkers.
Beautiful hotel, picturesque surroundings, extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms are
Staff and food were excellent. The room was so nice, sadly was under the outside long tables with the smokers! We did have a wonderful time though
Room near road and smokers sadly
Amazing stay, Lovely restaurant, Lovely and clean. Beautiful location, can’t wait to return.
They seem to have thought of everything. So perfect for us with our dog. Outdoor seating areas were wonderful. The room was so cool despite 30 degree heat outside. Food was great. We liked everything.
We liked everything.
The property was lovely to look at
Everything the staff were not friendly and not great service the rooms were far to hot we was offered fans which we took 2 but so noisy and didn’t even touch the heat in the stuffy room open the window and all you heard was the busy road the shower didn’t stay on the bracket and leaked all night very annoying pillows were awful and very uncomfortable there are no fridges in the room only a larder in the hallway so had to walk to get milk water etc but the water wasn’t cold after a while and was tap water! food was very average messed our order up blamed it on a new chef my husband had almost finished his by the time they came back with mine and it still wasn’t exactly what I’d ordered better to stay in a premier inn with air con and more luxuries for the money!
Wat een pareltje in de cotswolds.
Het personeelstekort in het restaurant zorgt voor een minder optimale restaurantervqring. Dat is jammer.
I love the country feel to it, the rooms were cozy and the food was brilliant, staff were very good and polite and our helper that checked us in was brilliant. Excellent choice of beers on draught and plenty of beverages available.
Maybe the price, it is good don’t get me wrong but maybe the prices might’ve been a bit too high but it is the Cotswolds and as my first stay in the Cotswolds it was amazing, have been previously but only for a day at a time.
Everything Superb
Central location for driving to many desired towns. Great rooms! Very comfortable! Loved the pantries with free water and tea, etc. Great options for breakfast and friendly staff. Dinner in restaurant- highly recommend! Great food!
Absolutely stunning. Friendly staff and room was lovely. Great options at breakfast and high quality food.
Shame you cannot walk to a town etc from the hotel
What a fantastic place, we booked a night here to break up a trip from the South to the North of England. We ate a meal on arrival which was of a fantastic standard. There was a great selection of food and drinks to choose from. The room and facilities were great.
We booked via booking.com as opposed to directly, which is often the case. We had to pay £35 per dog which bumped up the cost; it would be useful to update on booking.com with this information, an additional £70 for two relatively small dogs (2x 10kg) is a fair bit.
Food was fantastic, and lovely staff. There were lovely little touches in the room such as the sloe gin and Cotswolds guide. I would recommend dining in the restaurant.
The room was a bit small, there was no fan included which was tricky during a heatwave and there was just some practical elements of the room missing just as wall hooks, somewhere to hang a towel in the bathroom. But nothing that in anyway spoiled the visit.
Riviertje naast het gebouw met mogelijkheid om daar te eten
Geen airco en maar kleine ventilator terwijl de kamer heel erg warm was
Nice ,clean, friendly staff , clean rooms
The food was okay at the property garlic butter was a bit hard for starters , not much choice for breakfast either on the continental no pastry’s
Quaint friendly accommodating boutique property with beautiful outdoors and a peaceful brook. Lovely restaurant with delicious food. Nespresso and tea kettle in the room.
A little expensive: I expected a bit more luxury for the price. No AC in a heat wave but then again most of Europe lacks AC. No tissues (only toilet paper) in the room.
Interior & garden
Bathroom needed same TLC
The location, the staff, the bikes, atmosphere and food all amazing
Lovely rural location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great buffet and cooked breakfast.
Very hot day and the fan provided was totally ineffective. Luckily we brought our own fan which made the stay reasonably comfortable
Delightful property, spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was comfortable and just a little bit different. The food was also good with a scrumptious breakfast!
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful decor, views and feel to the hotel and the breakfast
Most things. No fridge in room was really inconvenient.
Straightaway, we were greeted by the lovely man at the front desk and showed to our Stunning room, Beautiful grounds and lovely area.
Amazing property and staff.

The Inn was beautiful and the food in the restaurant was delicious! Glad we made this our base in the Cotswolds as we explored the area. Definitely recommend the Wild Thyme and Honey!
We recently returned from the most wonderful stay at Honey and Thyme, and it exceeded every expectation from beginning to end. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — stylish, peaceful, and full of thoughtful touches that make it feel both luxurious and genuinely welcoming. Our room was exceptional: beautifully designed, impeccably comfortable, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. What truly made the experience unforgettable, however, was the people. Every single member of staff was outstanding — warm, attentive, professional, and effortlessly kind. From the reception team to the waitresses, bartenders, and restaurant staff, everyone made us feel sincerely looked after throughout our stay. Service of this standard is rare, and it never once felt forced — just genuine hospitality at its very best. The food was equally deserving of praise. Breakfast was superb, and dinner was truely magical next to the stream — beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and absolutely delicious. The outdoor spaces were another standout feature: peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect setting to truly unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Honey and Thyme is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. A truly special hotel run by exceptional people, and somewhere we will very gladly return to.
Rooms were lovely, food great and staff amazing, friendly and attentive.
halfway through the night the shower started dripping a lot (the heavy rain seemed to make this worse) and we couldn’t block the noise out because the door didn’t close. this impacted sleep, but other than this it was perfect.
Warm welcome extras lovely
Everything was amazing
The rooms are beautifully designed, although bath in bedroom will always be a negative for me
We thought expensive for location etc… quality was very good and staff super friendly .
The location, the decor and the food.
The staff were excellent and attentive. We had some noisy neighbours one night but hardly the hotels fault, domestics eh! The breakfast was excellent (the granola was moorish) & the other meals we had were to a high standard. The restaurant staff were brilliant. Highly recommended!
Lovely feel and relaxed
NA
The decor was amazing
The walls were thin so we heard everyone above us and in the rooms to our right and left. Also our window overlooked a bridge where everyone would walk past in the morning.
The friendly staff , the facility, the room , very clean
Lovely hotel in a great location for travelling around the Cotswolds.
Bathroom. Very nice but would have liked a door that could be locked and a window into the bedroom was off putting.
Very tasteful done. Dog friendly. They had a bed ready for my puppy
Room is close to main door so a little noisy
Beautiful property and very clean. Great location. Only 10-15 mins from Kemble station. Easy trip when coming from london Paddington.
Nothing.
We loved the room and was of a really high standard. So cosy and lovely decor. We particularly liked the freestanding bath in the bedroom. The food was delicious and all staff very friendly and helpful.
Great hotel, amazing stay and fantastic staff.

Old amenities Not well kept Much too expensive for what it is
Next to a beautiful stream
Rooms war very poorly appointed. Terrible WiFi and basically not mobile signal.
Nice property. Traditional pub has been upgraded to a boutique style accommodation. Lovely part of the world.
It’s next to a busy road. It’s wildly overpriced. For £270 per night you get a small bedroom overlooking a large car park and a busy road.
Very charming place with very friendly staff and good food.
The washroom in our room needed deep clean.
Absolutely fabulous! Will 100% be returning!

This place was divine. It was so comfy and cosy. Set just outside of any hustle and bustle. The staff were very warm and welcoming and the place was exquisite. Highly recommend and would book again in a heart beat.
The cosy setting; the little touches; the friendly staff; the well appointed rooms; the amazing breakfast; the surrounding countryside.
Gorgeous stay in the most idyllic location. My room was a corner position and had a view of the river and bridge as well as the garden terrace 🥰 A beautiful relaxing room!
Location was good and overall design was nice. Outside space was lovely. Bedroom was cosy.
Bathroom was not clean. Shower had black mould around the drainer and floor. Shower head was 90% blocked with what I hope was limescale but black bits came out when cleaned - didnt look like it had been used in a long time. Toilet seat was broken. Went for dinner at 21:10, kitchen was closed, so had to get food from elsewhere. Was told to take a seat for breakfast - waited 15 minutes for service, then had to call somebody over. Ordered food, then asked for a juice to be told I need to get it myself from the buffet breakfast - fine, I dont mind getting it, but nobody told me there was a continental breakfast in the room next door which you cant see from where I was told to sit. Spoke to reception about the room issues... showed no care, no apology, just said thanks for telling me. Expressed no concern if this impacted my stay or for the poor standards.
Property look Lovely, and in a great setting even though it was on a main road, you didn’t hear it once inside. Looks old but modern inside, fab.
Nothing!
Good location for exploring the Cotswolds, close to Cirencester.Good base to break up a long journey from North to South of the country. Everything had the wow factor.Stunning from the entrance, the outside dining pods, the bedroom, and restaurant. Very clean, comfy bed, fab shower, bedding and towels. Nice touches in room including the sloe gin! Staff all appeared friendly, helpful and efficient. Dog friendly in all areas.incl restaurant. Lovely fields directly behind hotel with mown paths to walk the dog. Excellent evening meal and breakfast with plenty of choice.
Poor lighting in bedroom especially no light above bathroom.mirror so unable to use for make up. Dog charge of £35 per night seemed a little steep, this was not mentioned or included at time of booking. 12.5% service charge added to evening meal without prior notice/opportunity to negotiate. We feel this was a little steep when added to a 175ml glass of wine priced £12.50. We did appreciate the staff and would respect this with a tip but we would have like to have decided the amount, we didnt challenge this as felt that it would have been embarrasing for the excellent member of staff looking after our table.
The hotel was lovely and peaceful, staff were so lovely and went above and beyond for us. Food was also very good.
Location was lovely, hotel was charming and food was very good. A lovely treat to stay there
Everything was fine
Wonderful staff and a totally charming place to stay. Food is excellent too
Lovely building, stunning views and friendly helpful staff
Cooked breakfast wasn’t great Biscuits with the milk in the morning would have been good and green tea as an option in the rooms
Beautiful hotel Very nicely decorated
Cozy place, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Great location
I was expecting more attention to detail in the room- found glasses not cleaned In the room, body soap diluite with water, tea not refilled after first night (however you had access to pantry room and some tea was available)
The whole place is gorgeous, with beautiful views and very well appointed and thoughtful rooms
The hotel is really cozy and cute right in the middle of the Cotswolds. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the second floor overlooking a nice river, which was so refreshing and relaxing. We had a lovely stay at wild thyme and honey. I highly recommend it.
The room was a bit too warm for us even though we turned off the heater. As a mother and daughter group we prefer if the toilet was somewhat more private.
Excellent hotel, dog friendly
