Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are small but adequate. A comfortable chair in the room would be a great addition! There is no daily maid service but we would rather not have anyone in our room while we have it occupied. Was given all extra towels & necessities when requested.

The staff was very nice and helpful, just like last time we stayed there. Its in a great location! My boyfriend loves they have coffee every morning.

Only thing didnt like was the bathroom wasnt swept and mopped and you could tell. There was big spots of something between the toilet and the sink. But tub and sink looked clean. I didnt clean complain cuz got told they were short handed but thats gross. Rest of room was clean thank you.

Everything was easy. Quick check in and check out. Staff explained the parking perfectly. Room was clean and comfortable.

I tried getting some drink out of the vending machines but none of them seemed to work.

Taped up a/c unit that kept falling out of the window. Staff didn’t seem to care. Got zero sleep dealing with the a/c unit and bugs getting in.

This was our 2nd stay at the Gold Dust. The location is perfect for walking around Deadwood! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the cost is at or below average.

Parking can be a bit tricky. It's about a block walk to the parking lot and at the time of our last stay there was construction equipment taking up several parking spaces. Also important to consider if there is an event in town

The staff was rude and the gave us a single bed room instead of the queen double beds we requested and our Tv did not work and when we asked for an extra blanket and toilet paper we could not get them…

Centrally located

Parking situation, front desk man did not enjoy his job he was rude everytime we entered the hotel. I reserved the room for my son and put his name on the reservation but he told him he was not getting checked in unless I was there, luckily I was up the road at another hotel being treated much better. This man was downright rude every encounter.

THE PARKING. We were given a code to park. When we got there, there were no spots to park. We had to pay to park in the parking ramp. The T.V. in our room would randomly shut off, not even able to watch a single thing. We will not go back.

Location is excellent and the rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Great hotel in a great place.

Canadians should be prepared to have their passport for check-in. I have registered at hundreds of hotels all over the U.S. in over 30 years and have never been asked for my passport. (Girlfriend and I were staying in Rapid City as a homebaae and wanted to spend a night in Deadwood. We didn't elect to spend two days riding around on motorcycles in the rain with our passports so we left them safely in Rapid City.) I mentioned that my driver's license is government issued I.D. and was told snidely "Yeah, in 'Canada'." When I mentioned that literally no other hotel in my experience has ever asked for my passport, I was again made to feel like an eight year old being chided at the playground. The condescension was disgusting . If you have this obscure policy that no other hotel in the United States has in place, that's fine. But having your staff completely denigrate and humiliate a guest for not knowing about it... Maybe not the way to do it.

None of the restaurants in the casino were open after 10pm, room was kinda pricey for location and comfort, parking lot stalls were really small.

Parking was very inconvenient. Had to unload our luggage down an alley into a very narrow stairwell up to the 2nd door. No elevator. Parking lot was 2 blocks away

The room was clean, but the room was so loud from the outside because the windows are not insulated. Girl up front checking in was not nice. Would give this hotel a 1 star.

Great location steps from downtown. The man at desk very friendly even went outside to show us where the bus stops were.

Our room was in corner next to street too close to traffic and noise. Worried about a car crashing into our room. Hotel not connected to casino as portrayed on website. Breakfast was very minimal with wrapped pastries. Pancake machine was broken. Parking is two blocks away.

The front desk woman Charlotte was so rude and short with me at check in I wanted to ditch my $400 room that was seriously a remodeled ice/vending room right next to the elevator and the only window opened to the hallway.. is that even legal? We have been to 8 states on a road trip and this is the only hotel front desk service that was not up to par of being an IHG property.. Chase Bank.. take them off the list of preferred properties please!! .. Bad vibes stay away..

The location is very good.

Front desk person was like a robot programmed with a speech. No greeting at all just business even when I tried to tell him we didn't need the parking and driving information he continued on and on like I wasn't even there. Cleanliness of the room was not awful but just dusty and not great. Bed was good enough but pillows definitely needed replaced.

The location

For staying at a hotel that has a steakhouse attached, or associated with it, you get no benefits for staying there unless you pay extra. The room was already a lot. I stay at a different hotel in Deadwood and get a lot of benefits for staying at their hotel. It is like the Hotel By Gold Dust dosen't careful you stay or not. Doubt I will stay there again.

The location.

I specifically get a room with a tub for the wife. Even though it said there was in the room, there was only a shower. It was kinda like my dorm room but not as nice. I wouldnt stay there again especially for the cost. There are other places we've stay at that are far better. The view was the backside of other buildings and the fire escapes. We had the blinds drawn the whole time because two other room had their windows 2 feet away and workers from i believe the midnight star were on their escape constantly smoking.

The staff were not friendly! Never looked up from their cell phones when we walked in. Housekeeping was scarce. We ask for trash to be taken out and you would have thought we ask them to hang the moon! Vending machines didn’t work.

Location was the best, the bed was very comfortable, never heard neighbors at all. Staff was very very nice. Lobby was pretty . Breakfast was actually good, not a huge variety but everything to start you on your way.

I can't imagine staying in our room in the winter, single pain old windows that light came through the bottom. However it was 90° degrees when were there so no problem. Street was a little noisy until 2-230am, but it is Deadwood, we already expected it.

Price was too high, $295 for one night. Bathtub and kuerig were dirty. Tv remote was broken. Room above was super noisy starting at 5am dropping several items multiple times on floor and moving items.

The shower was very good.

Room was very small. Noisy at night as road next to room. Had trouble getting TV to work. No heat in room. Had spots on bed sheets. Not worth the cost of the room.

We had the most interesting room. It was completely surrounded by hallway,no neighboring room. Not big, just a unique layout.

The pillows were way too big. Not comfortable at all. Need more blankets. No lounge chair. No clock. The breakfast was a joke. All junk. Nothing healthy. No fresh fruit. Big disappointment.

We booked the suites. Had no idea that the suites were not in the hotel but down an alleyway. So out we go into the snow, schlepping our luggage a block to an uninviting glass door. Once in, NO elevator, just a double set of skinny stairs. Then my husband has to walk back to the car and park it a couple blocks away because there is no parking. The room was nice enough, with a beautiful fireplace that we could not access because there was no remote. No remote for the blinds either. Called the front desk and she didn’t believe us! She made absolutely no attempt to help us operate either of these. … no ice in the building. Nice Shower, comfy bed. Great location. Got to check out Saloon Number, super cool. But don’t eat upstairs. Not good.

I loved that I had a room on the main floor due to having my pet with me and I have back issues . so that was nice . I also loved most of the staff .

I didn't have a place to eat in my room other than the bed also would have been nice to have a do not disturb door hanger and a booklet of things to do and places to eat. when checking in the first time I was not welcomed with the best customer service instead I was told to hold on and that he had to tell me a big list of things about my key cards and parking which would have been fine but the way it came off was I was not really welcome. I will say the lady and the older gentlemen had exceptional customer service and very friendly. so, thanks for that. all in all, it was a very okay Ish stay

Missing a trash can in the room and staff said they didn’t have one to give us. Breakfast is pancakes, cold cereal and fruit cups only. No eggs. No type of meat. Shower floor was so un-level that water didn’t drain and pooled in one corner. Parking is horrible. Vehicles are allowed to park in the center of the lot and blocked vehicles in.

Check- in was delayed until 5:30 because the room had not been cleaned yet. The lady who would eventually check us in gave me two pieces of paper thar we thought were given to us because of the delay. The next day I received a bill for the promotions for $30.

Our room was very cold. Needed an extra heater and that made the room air very dry. This caused my sinuses to dry out and light bleeding. Bathroom floor was extremely cold so we needed to walk on towels when using it
