The location is good, just by the beach. Rooms are okay, suitable for family or couple stay. Swimming pool is well maintained too.. the food from the restaurant is definitely our favourite.

Alles was mwah, Als Nederlander zou ik dit eiland overslaan en als je gaat een luxere plek kiezen. Alles is prima maar het is m net niet.

Breakfast food very basic and should have meats like chicken, fish etc included. Increase the price if have to but make the breakfast better. The divide between baby and adult pool- where the surface is probably old with sand etc coming out. Resulting surface quite painful for legs.

We had a lovely stay at Pangkor Sandy Beach Resort. It’s a lovely, cosy, family-run hotel, and we really enjoyed our time there. The rooms and overall setup are very simple but exceeded the 3 star rating, we didn’t arrive expecting anything luxurious after all. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. Simple local breakfast, was a good variety of food, with options for different tastes, including Malay, Indian and Western choices. For a small family-run hotel, we thought the breakfast was more than sufficient. What I particularly loved was the personal touch. The owner seems to live at the resort and would come out during breakfast to serve us tea or coffee. He also makes an effort to come to reception and greet his guests. I thought that was such a lovely and welcoming gesture, and it really gave the resort a warm, homely feeling. I believe there are only around 25 rooms, although I’m not certain of the exact number, which probably adds to that intimate atmosphere. The only real negative for us was the swimming pool. The shallow section has a pebble-like floor, and unfortunately some of the pebbles were quite sharp and painful when our children knelt or walked on them. It would be great if the resort could look into this, especially since families with young children are likely to use the shallow area. Overall, we had a fun and enjoyable stay. If you’re looking for a simple, affordable and family-friendly place with a personal touch rather than a luxury resort, we would definitely recommend Pangkor Sandy Beach Resort.

The lighting in the rooms seemed a little dim. Also, the space where breakfast was served was infested with crows that kept stealing food from random guests' plates.

We had a wonderful stay! The customer service was excellent,the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and polite throughout our visit. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of food. The chalet was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The water heater worked perfectly, and the air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place. We would be happy to come back again!

The number of pillows provided was sufficient, but they were too thin and not very comfortable to sleep on. Better-quality pillows would help prevent neck and body pain. The ironing board and iron were quite dusty, and the area where the flask and glasses were placed also needed better cleaning. In addition, the table on the outside balcony was very dirty. Overall, improving the cleanliness and replacing the pillows with more supportive ones would make the stay much more comfortable.

Location was terrific. It was great to have direct access to the beach and a pool. Great sunsets can be seen from the restaurant on the beach.

The pool was a bit dirty and needed a clean. We were unsure if the filtration system was working correctly.

Our 4th stay here, the staff and management were friendly, helpful and accommodating, food was decent. All the benefits of a small 25 room resort right on the water! Restaurants and simple no-frills spa nearby.

Since my chalet is by the roadside, it was quite noisy at night with loud music by some people gathering there.

Only that I didn't know that they don't have lift. So we have to climb up to the 2 pax room. Luckily the room for family 4 pax is at ground floor. There were mosquitos in our room,but the staffs immediately send people to spray it off. The breakfast were not worth it Just nasi lemak,meehoon,idli, fruits,potato,eggs stall ,waffle stall ,prawn noodles ..the buffet has no chicken ,fish ,sausages ,nuggets etc...i think it Not worth rm10. Better don't take the breakfast option and go outside try local food. Not much to complain thou.

Is a beach front boutique hotel. The room is of decent size with an open verandah facing the swimming pool/garden. The bed is big and comfortable and the room is clean. The surrounding area of the hotel is well kept and clean. Pasir Bogak beach is nice.

The water pressure at the bathroom fluctuate from weak to strong and vice versa.. therefore the hot and cold water also fluctuate accordingly. Buffet breakfast limited food choices. Many crows flying around the dining area of the hotel.

Buffet Breakfast is great

Sandy is right on the beach but has a delightful warm swimming pool as well. Not overcrowded, you can really relax here. Hornbills come to the hotel to be fed and you can sit in the pool as they sweep low over the water. A family run hotel of modest proportions that makes up for it with carefully tended gardens, excellent rooms and polite good service. We have had a chalet before which was very nice but we could only get a queens double this time. Clean room and reasonably equipped. Breakfast is a cut above average Malaysian hotels but as it is a small hotel, do not expect a luxury buffet but a daily change of food, some Indian, some Western and an egg station. We found something we liked every morning. Hired a motorbike at reception and took a tour. Reception kindly called a van when it was time to go back to the ferry pier 5 minutes away.

Had a wonderful staycation at Sandy Beach Resort, Pangkor. The hospitality was exceptional, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the overall comfort exceeded expectations. The peaceful surroundings and seamless experience made for a truly memorable getaway. Absolutely loved every moment of the stay.

Its cosy enough but the area felt totally abandoned

The room is strategic in front of the pool and facing the main entrance. Closer to the beach and eateries. Everything is just walking distance. The resort even provided laundry. Perfect for a getaway. There is even a place for u to dry your clothes and swim wear. The resort provided extra towels for swimming. A very tranquil place at night.

Nous avions demandé une chambre au calme mais on a reçu une chambre à l’étage avec des travaux dans la chambre en dessous. L’hôtel était presque vide à ce moment là et beaucoup d’autre chambres étaient disponibles.

Had to walk up stairs. However the stairs arent steep.

Pool needs an upgrade. A fan for the bungalow verandah would be excellent.

I liked the resort’s location and design. The staff were excellent—prompt, helpful, and friendly. The resort also had a lovely pool and beautiful beach views. It was conveniently within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, duty-free shops, and grocery stores.

We had breakfast at the resort. The coffee was tasteless, but everything else was good.

Op zich prima. Prijs wel wat hoog voor wat je krijgt. Ontbijt is ok. Avondeten viel wel wat tegen.

Leider war das Frühstück, nicht besonders. Meist war das Essen kalt, zum Beispiel Nasi Goreng. Kein Gemüse und immer das gleiche Obst.

The beachfront chalets (302 and 301) were very clean, comfortable and had great views. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Masala chai was a good addition to breakfast.

Breakfast was a bit plain, there was mold around the tub sealant, WiFi was spotty and the TV had a few working channels.

The hotel is nice, staff is amazing. My list & found item was sent to me all the way back to KL by 1 of the staff family member. Amazing service ♥️♥️♥️

The restaurant is right on the beach, which was great. The staff were fantastic. The food was good. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The pool was lovely as well.

When we arrived it was a national holiday and all the nice bedrooms around the pool had already been rented so we were given a room above the main building with a corrugated roof. It was very old and tired and there was a storm at night and the ceiling fell in onto my husband, not a lot but enough so perhaps they could’ve told us before we went into that room. However, we did really enjoy our day and we were definitely go back. The pool was great. The restaurant was right on the beach and they sold beer and wine which was that I did bonus.

Tout était super, grand chalet à 30 mètres de la plage, sunset tous les soirs. Le chalet est grand et propre. Le personnel adorable. Possibilité de louer un scoot, quelques restaus aux alentours

This property is high end and close to Restaurants. It is on the beach front and has a pool. All facilities were amazing and I would recommend this for families or single/partner travel.

Hospitality We were really disappointed in the renovation work that was carried out while guests were in the hotel. It's dusty, and it seems the management doesn't bother about guests' presence there. Totally unacceptable 👎😡

We spent three weeks traveling in Malaysia, and this hotel stood out from all the others because of its cleanliness. It was truly very well maintained and tidy. The swimming pool is clean and well cared for, the water is clear, and the sun loungers are in excellent condition. The hotel grounds are constantly maintained and look very neat. The photos on the booking platform accurately reflect reality. The rooms are excellent – spacious, renovated, and not worn out. The hotel is located very close to the sea. There is a large pool and a smaller pool for children, which is also suitable for very young kids. Not far from the hotel there are Thai massage places, small cafés, and scooter rental options, which is very convenient.

Breakfast is not very extensive, but it is sufficient. It would be nice to have a bit more vegetables available.
