I loved that the place was stunning tiled floors brilliant 🚿 nice and big options to try new shower gel very unusual smell and shampoo but didnt use it as only washed me hair a few days before but loved the smell .nice choice of beds rather hard or soft bed to choose from what topped it off was free WiFi not just like half hour free so this deffo was a big bonus I could move videos to me phone storage to make space amd quick WiFi. Breakfast also included so again another big bounus me and me daughter couldnt fault it one bit will he back amazing for the price. Also love the fact you had a mini fridge with a freezer bit as well top marks

Could do with hot chocolate and maybe fried eggs instead of just scrambled eggs for breakfast and maybe plum tomatoes instead of normal 🍅

The location was difficult to find as it is tucked away in a side street and there was no parking on site as it was a pay and display so anyone could park there, as I have a disability I had no choice to park on the street which was very difficult for me.

So handy for the Town Centre, bars and restaurants and Wakefield Exchange. Breakfast was great. Hot plates and freshly cooked food. Able to get a late checkout at 13:00 too

Staff very helpful and friendly . Rooms comfortable, slept very well. Breakfast lovely, one of the best I've had in hotels for a while. Location excellent for the centre and easy to walk to station.

Staff were very welcoming and also helpful when I had an issue with the carpark payment. The bed was very comfortable, and the noise level was kept to a minimum. The shower pressure was reasonable. Good selection of breakfast choices. All-in-all, it was an enjoyable stay.

The only downside really was that the bathroom floor wasn't 100% clean, but otherwise, nothing major to complain about.

The lady who checked us in on Wednesday evening is a star, very welcoming. In fact all the staff were great. Room was clean, breakfast was nice and it was tremendous value for money.

There was no room in the car park when we arrived. Not a major issue as there was room in the street.

Excellent budget hotel. I've stayed with the other two popular budget hotels but Holiday Inn Express was so much better. I've never slept better in a hotel, so obviously comfy beds!

Paying for parking....makes it not such a budget hotel.

Jess the receptionist gave a really warm welcome and also gave me a free toothbrush kit when I couldn't find mine (I was stopping while moving house). The whole hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean. There was air conditioning, on-site parking, and lovely rooms with comfortable beds and really nice bathrooms. Free toiletries smelled nice too. The breakfast staff were cheerful and the food was delicious and well cooked (perfect crispy bacon). The best place I have stayed in ages.

The hotel is a little 'tired' with paint and chips off some doors. the room was Ok but not as good as some Holiday Inn express hotels I have stayed in. One lift which was a little slow. Staff kind but a bit stretched. The bed was Ok but brilliant . Shower good and hot. We had evening meal there which was Ok and the breakfast was good. The was a lot of noise at the location at night time Wi-Fi goo connection but did not log in and had opt get special log in code from reception.

Repair the paintwork in internal doors. Better carpet and bed. Staff not so stretched and a little weary

Staff member named Lauren on reception was super welcoming, polite, friendly and very helpful. Rooms nice with good facilities, also very clean. Perfectly located bang in the city centre near restaurants and bars and surprisingly no noise pollution from said bars either with how close it was to them.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, room was comfy and perfect for our needs. Helpful to have a lift with being on the 5th floor. Very good location for town centre. Parking was perfect at the shopping centre £6.20 on the app for 24 hours of parking and only a minutes walk from hotel entrance.

Little issue in trying to get into the room, had to return to reception twice before it got sorted but after that there was no further issues.
