Staff lovely.Very polite. Reception staff great too. Will go back again! ❣️
Toilet roll a bit thin.
Staff were lovely, room was basic but clean with a comfortable bed, breakfast was great and the location was perfect.
No bedside tables and not enough plug sockets in the room.
I like the staff very much
Nothing
Nothing
Everything, Room, Bath, Toilet, Curtains all dirty!
As usual not a problem with the accomodation its a budget hotel and meets expectation.
Did not like the fine that was imposed upon friends of ours that parked in the car park to pick us up. They stayed a maximum of 40mins and were fined 100.00 as they were not told by the staff to input theyre car details whilst we were having a drink inside the bar.
Its okay i feel at home so
Umm nothing really
Room was clean and contained all facilities i needed
On booking I requested a ground floor room and stated it was due to disability. Booking well in advance I didn't think this would be an issue, but when I arrived i was on the top floor and no other rooms were available. As I struggle greatly with stairs this was very disappointing.
The room was basic, but clean and had everything we needed. We found the hotel easily with no issues and the car park was well lit and spacious. The breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, really good baked beans and tomatoes.
We had a busy day ahead of us after our stay at the Kiln Hotel and were looking forward to a good night sleep. Sadly some of the other guests were very noisy, talking very loudly, shouting, banging, smoking near our room until 1.10am. Very inconsiderate to the other guests.

Staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay .very good for money and the breakfast was also good for the money
Room was fine & clean. Bed really comfy
Lighting. No mushrooms for breakfast
Clean & friendly staff. Plenty of breakfast & not bad choice.
Was not aware it was a motel with rooms outside. Single bed comfortable but small. Very basic, smell in room.
Nothing at all, very old building
Very old building and smelling, noisy customers in the car park all night. I haven’t slept at all.
Excellent
All good
I was very impressed with my 1 night stay. I had had a difficult train travel from Bournemouth. There were delays and cancellation all over the place from Kings Cross. My train was cancelled and I was lucky to get a train to Sheffield, then another to Wakefield. Although I thought it would be quite difficult to find the hotel off Denby Dale Road, the bus I caught got me there. The receptionist was cheerful and helpful. I had dinner there which was good and also an excellent breakfast in the morning. Very good staff and certainly value for money. Thank very much. Richard
Just a larger towel in the bathroom would have been more useful. By the way, it's not Mary that stayed at the hotel, it's Richard who was your visitor!

Price and comfort
Felt odd staying on an industrial estate but actually very quiet.
Bed was ok Options for more pillows - non slip bathmat etc were available but need to be asked for at reception ( but once i'm naked in the bathroom and the taps are running the last thing I want to do is walk outside in the rain and try to find a member of staff - then wait for an hour or so for a bathmat ) - these things should be there to be used when needed. Breakfast was good - but confusing. You need to book a time and at 9.00am I was told it was far too busy - so I booked 8.30. and sat in an empty room, at at around 9.00am 4 people arrived and including me that was 5 in total and it stayed that way until I left at 9.30
Noise from bathroom extractor fan ( that does not ever stop ) was like a drone flying overhead View of a 'wall' of dry grassbank from the window - nothing can be done about this as the building is in the middle of a poor industrial estate. **** DREADFULL - having to book in car to the carpark on a machine that does not work - add this to receptionists job it takes her 10 seconds !!! - but thats 20 minutes of my life that I can't get back and I'm expected to pay another fiver - but then the girl says 'don't worry - it never works correctly and the parking is free anyway? Carpet squares don't meet - not a disaster but uncomfortable underfoot Left the cleaners stuff on the worktop as she may need them next day - don't know what she did after leaving my room that morning It was a Campanile - and this showed, Changed its name but not its quality
room very clean including bathroom was spotless. Staff were friendly and very helpful special mention to Rachel and Dotti were lovely. Loved the Restrobar great relaxed atmosphere and the location could not be better.
The Hotel are having a bit of a revamp which includes New Beds unfortunately I did not get a new bed mine was far too soft and I had a bad back on day 4 of my stay. But my co worker next door had a new bed his was hard. Unlucky me.
I liked the staff
The bed
Excellent well cooked breakfast.Great value for the price . Staff were very friendly.
As I’m tall I found the bed a bit short . The location was a couple of miles out of the Centre .
The property has basic rooms but overall comfortable and 9/10 times you sleep very well! Has a nice bar across the way and offer a nice cooked breakfast at cost.. but its very good
Some times guest can be extremely noisy in the night you cant contact any one for help as they close the main reception
It had a tv
It was really too basic and needed updating badly
The lady on reception was amazing she did everything from booking in serving food and behind the bar, she was very friendly too 😊
The fact it used to be some accommodation for old/disabled people, I walked into the room and thought it's nice and looks comfortable, checked out the bathroom and saw a bath😊 then I had a closer look and realised it was for dwarfs 🤣
I just needed a bed for the night and it was the cheapest place I could find that looked reasonable. Bed was very comfy and facilities were fine. Also had coffee and stuff in the room which I always appreciate. The staff were also really friendly and keen to help.
The walls are paper thin and I could hear someone having a hookup a couple of rooms away then after I could hear a family with loads of kids screaming from about 6am. This didn’t help my hangover. But it didn’t take away from the place being what it’s there for. It’s a hotel so I don’t expect absolute silence.
The price over budget and room need sorted. Have me pain the back for two day.
Basic room but sufficient for our needs. Clean room
Simply the breakfast.
The room was very poor! Hairdryer sounded like it was gonna blow up,the bath had a big crack in which was rusty. In need of a renovation Badly.
Lady on reception was really nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
I wanted a cheap hotel for one night, Kiln fit my requirement and the room was clean and tidy with coffee facilities and everything you would find in a more expensive hotel. The bed was comfy, although a little soft for my taste but I slept well and that is what matters!
A lift to the upper floors would be good. I appreciate that is impractical due to the layout but that would be the only improvement I feel would be needed
Room was functional and I have returned as the desk area allows me to work in the evening. Also as a smoker, i don't need to hike to far to a respectful smoking point. Plenty of decent well lit parking.
Bed was uncomfortable and the whole place is very tiered. Inconsiderate weed smoker made large section of the exterior absolutely stink, this is not the first time. Greater CCTV coverage of the carpark would have been nice as well as some EV charging opportunities.
Nothing
Where to start with this place. The interior is like a chalet from a 1960s holiday park. The carpets matched and were filthy, visibly stained and coming away in places. Cobwebs and all over the wooden beading that surrounds the roof. I didn’t sleep all night as I could literally feel my skin crawling in the bed as there were definitely bed bugs or some kind of mite or flea I’m not sure but my skin was itching all night and I woke up with visible red dots on my body. I eventually gave up on trying to sleep and left the hotel at 5am. Horrendous place, I was going to stay somewhere else where I have stayed before which was half the price of the Kiln Hotel and better but in the end I booked it as it was a little closer to work, now I wish I hadn’t as I have to function all day with near to zero sleep. I have stayed in 100s of hotels all over the world and this is by far the worst.

Good location friendly staff even when I arrived late after check in time. Great staff all round lady who cooked a delicious breakfast and organised
Personal touch in the room complimentary shower soap good. Needed a charger none there would just add an extra touch having cotton buds and face pads etc great for price
Basic but good value for money, and the staff were really friendly.
Little dated,. In desperate need or upgrade
The wifi signal was good and the bed was quiet comfortable.
The room was very unclean, there where loads of dead flies on the desk and there where squashed ones on the curtains. The shower head looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The curtian on the window was broken and hanging down.

There was nothing to like about the property but the reception area was up to date and clean
It was very run down and poorly maintained and dull tv but no where to plug it into curtains wrapped and badly stained carpets
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly
I got a parking ticket. I gave my registration to reception and assumed this was to allow parking. I was never told that I needed to pay extra or do anything else. Giving your reg is standard practice at Travelodge etc for these purposes. I have tried to contact the hotel since unsuccessfully. No one answered the phone or replied to my messages. It cost me and extra £95 thereby changing thos from a good budget experience into an extremely expensive one. The environment was very noisy at night and a fire alarm went off at 1.30am. Reception staff were not aware that had happened which is worrying!
Clean, friendly staff. Comfy bed, great value for money
Rooms tired
So easy, staff great, room clean and great location

The property location was lovely, very friendly staff..lovely breakfast
Always a lovely stay, clean comfortable rooms and lovely kind friendly staff always at hand to help.
Been a few times never had any problems nice stop over place
Even though i used machine still got a parking fine, appealed it and it was dropped so check you are covered for your stay
I always like staying here when making the long drive to family in south of England. Convenient, comfortable, clean. Cafe on site is good too.
Disabled parking spots right outside my room were taken by non disabled drivers! Makes taking luggage from car to room a bit more of a hassle as have yo walk further when one is disabled and cannot lift/carry things easily when using a walker!!
The staff made this hotel a good stay. The hotel was in need of updating but was clean. You got what you paid for. I was surprised it was on the middle of industrial estate but we needed it for convenience factor. Breakfast was good, and had choices as well. Both the first day staff and departure day staff excelled with their help and friendly attitude.
Loud gym near by. No mirror near hair dryer lol.
Stayed a number of times and staff are always welcoming. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Beds are very comfortable. *****
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast.
A fan in the room would've been nice although the room was cool even though it was 33 degrees outside.
No bedside cabinets
nothing
This hotel reminded me of the kind of old fashioned American motels you see in 1980s movies. The property is extremely dated and in need of a complete refurbishment, which made for a rather unpleasant stay! The room also had a stale, musty smell and did not feel fresh or well maintained! The only thing that saved the experience was the wonderful staff, who were friendly, professional and very helpful during my visit.
Just what we needed
Bezplatné parkovanie blízko izby. V kúpeľni vaňa so sprchou, šampón aj sprchový gel. Výmena uterákov a posteľnej bielizne podľa potrieb zákazníka.
Na izbe nie je chladnička, lebo hotel má reštauráciu.
The bed linen was clean although the bed was really really soft. It was at the back of the property which was good as early in the morning there is a Gym opposite that has its doors fully open playing very loud music
The room was very tired and dark as there was very little light. It was very noisy from the other guests around us. It was the cheapest property in the area but still based on my extensive travel around the UK I dont think it was value for money
Location, near motorway and a short walk in to the city
Very basic
Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast
Room very dated, not the most comfortable bed. Hotel situated in middle of industrial estate.
Everythink
Bright and clean, continental style budget hotel
No issues good for the price
Staff were great nice and friendly , breakfast was excellent.
Beds comfy, quite location and nice big rooms
Bit dated but still clean and comfortable
Had everything needed
Didn’t miss anything, it was perfect for the money and the staff were excellent,
Cheap and cheerful for the price
Was run down, shower leaking,TV broken, no spare bedding
Nothing
It wasn’t clean that much uncomfortable bed and not a good tv
Good location near M1. Parking facilities were very good. Good value for money.
Furnishings could be more up-to-date - but this is a small quibble!
Clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful
Location,long walk to centre
Nicht akzeptabel
Es werden keine Rechnungen übermittelt - es wird einfach alles ignoriert. Ein absolut unprofessionelles Verhalten
Location a couple of miles from city centre and quarter of a mile from Wakefield Park. Thus plenty of walks available. Lovely shower with reliable hot water.
Bacon overcooked or kept warm for a long time but breakfast was plentiful. Torn curtains in bedroom.
