All Suites Whitney Manor

We stayed in the Greystone Suite and absolutely loved it. It's huge for two people, was spotlessly clean and it is probably our favourite accommodation that we have ever booked. The location is great for exploring the area and it's so quiet. The photos for the site don't do it justice.

Schönes und gepflegtes Anwesen. Sehr saubere, geräumige Unterkunft. Ausgestattet mit allem nötigen (u.a. einer Nespresso-Maschine). Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal.

Leider quietschte das Himmelbett (Sopwell Suite) fürchterlich, so dass der Schlaf leider nicht so erholsam war, wie das optisch tolle Bett hoffen ließ.

Es war so perfekt, dass man es kaum beschreiben kann ! Es ist ein historisches Gebäude mit einer wunderbaren, aber auch teils traurigen Geschichte. Im Whitney Manor gibt es 4 Suiten, wir hatten die Penthouse Suite in der obersten Etage mit wunderschönem, möbliertem Balkon mit Blick auf den Garten und den Sankt-Lorenz-Strom. Es hätte nicht stilvoller sein können ! Die Küche mit Küchenbar ist perfekt ausgestattet und sehr modern mit wirklich allem, was man braucht und ggf. brauchen könnte ! Die Betten waren eine absolute Wohltat ! Das Licht-System in jedem Raum ermöglichte eine individuelle Dimmung und zauberte somit auch nochmal eine besondere Atmosphäre. Zum Garten: es ist kein 'Garten' im eigentlichen Sinne, sondern ein Park mit altem Baumbestand, blühenden Stauden und großer Rasenfläche. Es ist uns schwergefallen, abzureisen...

Privacy and the space were generous.

The bathroom on the upper floor. But we managed around that okay overall. Just good to note for people who may not be as capable of doing stairs.

Una super casa bellissima adibita a diverse stanze. Il check in autonomo è stato molto facile. Tutto straordinariamente pulito con cucina attrezzata con qualsiasi utensile necessario. Parcheggio privato gratuito. Arredo antico bellissimo. Tornerei senz'altro!

Se hai la stanza al piano di sopra e hai valigie e passeggino diventa un po' complicato il trasporto senza ascensore o montascale

Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort und sind am späten Nachmittag angekommen. Klopapier war nur für einen Tag vorhanden. Wir haben dort 2 Tage gebucht. Das 2. Schlafzimmer hatte keine Tür.

A couple of amenities were not working. However staff went out of way to make stay very comfortable.

Amazing, beautiful house with a lot of space in the suite, very well equipped with everything one would hope for. Highly recommended, we'd come back if we're in the area again.

Prachtige locatie en goed toegankelijk. Parkeerplaatsen naast de deur. Wij hadden het penthouse, hier heb je echt prachtig uitzicht over het meer. Goed bed, en goede communicatie.

De wasmachine zit schimmel in en de droger is kapot. Na 4,5 uur een kleine was drogen is de was nog steeds nat. Hierna moesten we het allemaal ophangen, alleen waren er maar 3 hangers en geen droogrek. We hadden niet verwacht dat dit voor deze prijs zo was en moesten we creatief alle was door het hele appartement ophangen. Een grote tegenvaller. Helemaal omdat we dit zo gepland hadden op onze roadtrip, om de kleren tussendoor te kunnen wassen.

Picturesque location in amazing historical building. Quiet and close to downtown Kingston. Great atmosphere! Pleasantly surprised at how warm and cosy it was in middle of February - warm heated floors were so appreciated. Loved the community space - excellent for gathering together in comfy seating and at large dining table. Great for small groups. Kitchen well stocked. Beds very comfortable. Beautiful decor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No concerns with parking and gaining secure access to suites. Incredible value.

The building was amazing and so was the decor

Lovely location overlooking the St. Lawrence River (Penthouse Suite only) and part of Milton Island. A glorious full moon accompanied us from the balcony during our stay. Now and in the near future is the time to book these penthouse views of the river, as in 10 years or so the trees of the riverfront properties, in front of the Manor, will completely block this view. We also liked the easy access to Kingston or Gananoque for restaurants and sightseeing.

Nestled on a quiet street close to the River, Beautiful lot, trees, landscape. The Manor had an old charm and was so elegantly decorated, yet felt very welcoming and homey. The Penthouse suite was well furnished, fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable also. Loved the balcony and view, just wish it wasn't winter, next time will book in the summer! ;) Stunning sunrise with the mist coming off the St.Lawrence. Everything is well thought out as to what a guest might need including a Nespresso! What a treat to stay here! Thank you.

All Suites Whitney Manor ist mir beim Durchstöbern der Buchungsseite sofort durch das historische Gebäude aufgefallen. Es ist ein altehrwürdiges Anwesen und es hat Spaß gemacht, hier Gast gewesen zu sein. Die Suiten haben alles, was man braucht plus eine tolle Aussicht auf den Fluss.

Wer persönlichen Kontakt haben möchte, wird hier im Normalfall nicht dazu kommen. Die Anreise ist automatisiert organisiert. Wir erhielten über die Buchungsseite alle Nachrichten, die wir zum Beziehen der Suite brauchten. Hätten wir Probleme gehabt, gab es zwei Telefonnummern, die wir allerdings nicht brauchten. Noch schöner wäre für uns ein persönlicher Empfang gewesen.

A very comfortable suite in a converted manor house. The area is a quiet residential development of large houses.

Great location, easy access and outstanding apartment. The patio on the roof was really the biggest asset ... from dawn to dusk with great view on the St. Lawrence River.

There is no escalator, but this wouldn't make sense in this old house!!!

The space was excellent! Really beautiful for a two night stay.

More kitchen supplies, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, dishes, glasses. Access to a BBQ. Surprising that with such a beautiful deck there was no BBQ available.

was enchanted by the historic elegance of the building — the beautifully preserved limestone walls, the character-packed architectural details, and the sense of stepping into a refined past. At the same time, its modern comforts (spacious suites, full kitchens, private patios) created a seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary luxury.

Honestly, very little. If I had to be very particular, I would say the Wi-Fi could be a bit stronger — but it hardly took away from the overall wonderful experience.

Accomodation that provided most of the luxuries of home. What a joy to be able to sit on the huge balcony and enjoy the beautiful view. A sitting room that was a pleasure to relax in, and master bedroom with a wonderful king sized bed for those who are tall like myself. The laundry was a great extra touch.

The kitchen dinnerware (plates, servingware, tableware) were somewhat sparse. Basic dinner plates, sideplates but no matching serving ware for a three course meal. I made a special dinner on two evenings and had to compromise with oven to table ware. For example the French White Corningware line is inexpensive and functional for casseroles and serving platters. Only two tea towels, no dishcloths for a busy amateur chef. Please don’t take this as a complaint, but for people like myself who love to cook maybe offer an additional cooking package (on request).

What a beautiful, quiet and secluded place. The room suite was incredible and elegant. I wish we could have stayed more nights

We stayed in the Sopwell Suite. It was very spacious and comfortable. Our patio was very pleasant to sit on. The location of Whitney Manor is ideal for visiting Kingston, Gananoque and the 1000 Islands National Park. There is lots to do in the neighbourhood but you definitely need a car. I have set out below what could have been better but we did very much enjoy our stay here.

The private patio for our Sopwell Suite was not accessible from our suite. We had to walk around to the back of the house. If the back door had been able to be opened this would have been helpful. Although, in general, our suite was very clean, some surfaces such as the ornate mirror in the smaller bedroom were thick with dust. In terms of equipment in the kitchen area, this was quite sparse and the least number of plates, etc we have ever experienced in a property of this size. Surely, too, it could be possible to provide forks and knives from the same cutlery service. It all felt rather haphazard. Communication with the owners was great in the lead up to arrival. However, we didn't get any further contact, prior to check-out, even despite me messaging to apologise for the breakage of one drinking glass. We noted that this entire property is up for sale. We wonder whether this explains the current lack of attention to detail.

Die versprochene Luxus-Ferienwohnung gab es nicht: Die Einrichtung war zusammengewürfelt. Die Küche ohne Geschirrspüler mit Möbeln in Baumarktqualität. Bewegung im Bett ohne Geräusche nicht möglich. Zugang zum See nicht möglich. Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit für Lebensmittel 15 min Autofahrt entfernt. Mobilfunk-Loch. Telefonieren nur über WLAN. WLAN extrem schlecht, Internetverbindung brach laufend ab. Wer im Urlaub auch berufliche Dinge erledigen möchte, ist hier nicht gut aufgehoben. Gut für Social-media-detox! Wir sind vorzeitig abgereist.

Everything is okay but the furniture is very uncomfortable as it maybe as old as the manor. Led to believe that it was waterfront but there is no waterfront access for miles. I cannot say it was a good stay but I can say I will not ever be back.

It was beautiful property with homey feeling.

The furniture was nice and antique but not comfortable and need refurbishing.

Overall, our stay was great. However, some amenities could use an upgrade, such as the TVs, hairdryers, and especially the beds. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and none of us managed to sleep through the night. The bedside light switches were also very inconspicuous—we only realized they were light switches when we were about to check out. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We really loved the decorations and the overall atmosphere.
