Room reaked of cig
Stayed in western style room. The smell of smoke was very apparent and the rooms needed some updating but were adequate. The main plus was the spectator early morning and late evening clear views of mount Fuji.
Great
Great location to see Mt. Fuji right outside your room window. Clean, comfortable, older facility. Close to parking area where you can take the shuttle to 5th Station at Mt Fuji. Helpful staff and laundry facilities on site.
Amazing view of Mt Fuji from our room!!!
Staff were friendly, food was good, the onsen facilities were great. Would stay again!
The hotel was really nice. The onsen was great to experience, a little nerve wrecking since it was our first time. Accidentally got the smoking room so it did have a lingering smell of cigs but I don’t think the non smoking room would’ve been different since the hallways also had that smell. The staff was friendly and helpful !
Small hotel. Worked out great for us. Offer affordable options and can still use their bath house.
The onsen is a big plus!
It was a little difficult to find from the maps guide from Expedia. Very good morning buffet. Great view of Mount Fuji from our window! Very nice staff. Good dinning options nearby.

This property was a little dated compared to some of the others we have stayed at. However, it was very clean and the customer service was top notch. The view of Mt. Fuji from the back of the hotel is breathtaking. The onsen was quite peaceful and relaxing with a mix of hotel guests and locals from the public. Lots of food options near the hotel and the breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. Great service from the front desk. Short walk to Fuji-Q from the hotel. Would stay here again for sure!
There was almost no english information for referrals to areas to visit, and the front desk had very little english understanding. The room had no comfort at all. One hard chair and a very hard bed. I was reprimanded for wearing my shoes in the lobby. Apparently you can only wear shoes in half the lobby. There was a small plaque sign in the floor with instructions to take off your shoes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Great view of Fuji Nice onsen Check our surprisingly early compared to other hotels
While the property and surrounding area were clean, exciting, and accessible, the property staff were not accommodating to my partner and I. We came to the restaurant at 21:55 knowing that the restaurant closes at 23:00. The restaurant staff informed us the kitchen would close at 22:00, and we agreed to sit and quickly place an order. However, moments later (before 22:00) the staff informed us that they would not take our order at all. The hotel staff were unwilling to advocate for us as guests to have the restaurant staff serve us. We were unable to find any food on-site following this interaction. This experience left us with a bad impression, and a concern that this treatment was because we are foreign visitors.
The onsen was awesome. Great first experience and feels great to be involved in part of the culture. Bbq grill was an amazing dinner.
The property itself was great. I liked how there was an open bath. The beds were okay and the room itself was spacious. I didn't enjoy how far it was from everything but honestly that's just the area. The view of mount fuji was nice though from our window but that depends on the weather of course. Overall was a comfy stay.
Spacious room with the view of Mt. Fuji. The dining facility at the hotel is fantastic. The onset at the hotel is heavenly! My wife and I had a most enjoyable time and stay! The front desk staff was very helpful.
Perfect stay for visiting Mount Fuji, scenic Fuji view from hotel room, friendly staff and great spa experience
Use of public bath/ onsen included with stay :) Mt. Fuji views. Nice dining options around.
This hotel is located along National Route 139 (Yokomachi Bypass). It’s about a 20-minute walk from Fujisan Station. While the distance is not excessively far, most guests use cars to access the hotel. The parking lot is spacious, and even during peak tourist seasons, such as the autumn foliage period, there seems to be a little space available for parking. The hotel and rooms are clean, but as the building is older, some areas show signs of wear that cannot be fully removed despite regular cleaning. However, these do not detract from the comfort of staying in the rooms. (This might depend on the room, though.) Since the hotel has a large public bath, guest room bathrooms only come with a shower, not a bathtub. The public bath also serves as a day-use hot spring facility, so it can get very crowded, especially in the evenings during the autumn foliage season, sometimes to the point of entry restrictions. Guests are not given priority access, so keep this in mind when planning to use the facility. There are some downsides, the most notable being the check-in and check-out process, which can occasionally take a lot of time. While there are dedicated self-service machines for this, the information displayed on the panels is overly detailed and crowded with text, making it far from user-friendly. Even experienced visitors who’ve stayed here multiple times may find the process cumbersome. Additionally, in the changing area of the public bath, lockers are placed in narrow hallways, often causing congestion when people are changing. This can make the experience a bit inconvenient. That said, the hotel is attractive because it offers relatively affordable rates even during peak seasons like the autumn foliage period, when other hotels tend to charge significantly higher prices. The building is only three stories tall, so even in rooms advertised as having a view of Mt.Fuji, trees or nearby buildings may partially block the scenery. It might be best not to have overly high expectations for the Mt.Fuji view.
Enjoy the public bath but no Fuji view; however our room can see Fuji mountain during daytime; no public bus near and need to walk awhile to get there if u don’t have car; no credit card allowed if u take taxi to get there and ready for cash if you don’t have paypay app for foreigner since u need Japanese no to use that app
This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen. If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do.
Too expensive
The hotel is antiquated and the check-in process was amicable. However, the bedding and blanket in the room were damp due to humidity. Additionally, the room lacked Wi-Fi connectivity despite being advertised as having it.
Absolutely wonderful! The Osen was amazing and free for guests. The restaurant was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Hotel was quite a distance from the train and not really close to anything on foot. This would be a good hotel if you are there for the spa.
Place was clean just an older building and outdated. Well worth the price paid. Staff friendly and location great for those hiking Mt. Fuji.
Good with 3 people
The room for the four of us was small, but accommodating, albeit on the floor with a mat and blanket. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom area was a bit small. I did like the long mirror in the main area on the wall. The employees were helpful as could be with us being foriegners. The breakfast was a guess typical Japanese. I didn't reslly care for it, but to each there own. We were hear to travel to Mt Fuji. This place was the closest most affordable place i could find. The Hot spring was included with our stay. They are strict on their Japanese tradition and male and female go seperate ways, but without clothes. Interesting place, would stay again.
The hotel is very quiet. The hotel is old but they keep it very clean. The best part is that we get to see Mount Fuji in our room and from the outdoor onsen. There are 1 cold water tank and 4 types of onsen for women, 2 outdoor, 2 indoor. The onsen is very nice. Staff members are very friendly. One of them can speak Cantonese. This hotel is recommended. I definitely will book this hotel next time when I come back to Fujikawaguchiko.
Nice location, Mt. Fuji can be seen at the back of the hotel. Enjoyed the onsen. A lot of dining options around the area. It also has a restaurant inside the hotel.
The staff went above and beyond what was expected.
Great place to stay in Mount Fuji area. Our room was 302 with direct views to Mount Fuji. The room was huge with 3 beds an bathroom but no wardrobe. The place has amazing public baths with indoor and outdoor areas. Staff are really kind and helpful. There is a restaurant on site but didn’t try it. Didn’t have breakfast included either son can’t comment. There is plenty of car spaces. There is a Daison next door, couple conbinis and restaurants nearby. Great location to explote the area. We had a car so cannot comment on public buses service. Absolutely recommendable, will stay again if I ever go back.
Clean and big room. I booked a room with no Mount Fuji view but was surprised in the morning when I opened the window and Mt Fuji was there to see and what a view it was. Staff were very helpful and respectful. Onsen was free to use.
About a 20 minute walk from Mt. Fuji station, it's a bit of a walk with luggage. There are buses throughout the area running every 20-30 minutes. It's very much a suburb/rural area. The hotel has a great view of Fuji-san and great value with the onsen facilities in the hotel. Be sure to double check if you booked a smoking room or not.
Room is alright but looks tired, can do with some face-lift. Bathroom needs one step up so inconvenient for people with knee issue. Our room 217 has one bed and one foldable bed which looks makeshift. Nearby has Daily Yamansaki and Daiso. Restaurant food is nice with lots of variety. Onsen is packed especially weekends as it is open to public use.
You have access to their traditional Japanese Spa as a overnight guest, it's a wonderful experience. And the spa itself serves as a bit of a local community center. The hotel itself is not that close to the local train and bus station. So bear that in mind, but it was a great experience. For roughly five dollars, you can have a traditional japanese breakfast and I would recommend it.
The resort has a onsen that the whole town visits and it’s a definite must do because it’s refreshing and you have a view of Mt Fuji behind the hotel.10 minutes walking distance to Fuji Q amusement park and a variety of restaurants to choose from and all within walking distance.Top notch staff and very friendly.
Onsen on site is avaibable nearly all day. Did not enter the onsen as they requested we go late at night as our party had tattoos which is understandable and the accommodation to go late at nigjt was appreciated. Staff was helpfull in explaining e erything we needed to know. Hotel is 20min by foot from mt fuji station. Mostly walkable but crosswalks in the area are a bit out of the way
Great service, can view Mt. Fuji too
Hot spring experience was awesome
You can enjoy a relaxing time at the hotel.
It was quite clean and onsen was nice. We could see Mt. Fuji from our window. It was quite near to Fuji-Q Highland. Quite few restaurant were near by and a convenience store was just cross the road also, Daison(100yen shop) was next door. The restaurant in the hotel was very good.
Very rude staff, dodgy taxi fare mark ups, very run down, smells very bad and could not use the onsen. Just stay absolutely anywhere else.
Location, free parking, and the onsen
Onsen is good
Stayed at this accomodation one night. Room had no power to begin with, and staff had to scramble to fix the issue. Not a good first impression. Room was passable but staff are, quite frankly, terrible - trying to communicate with any of the staff even for simple requests (like trying to arrange a taxi) was like pulling teeth. It was advertised as a tourist hotel, but none of the staff seem to speak English - I understand not everyone does, that’s fine - but at least make an effort to assist or find someone who can - all I got was a shrug and staff staring at me as if I had two heads. Perhaps they need more training, because service is poor. If this was a cheaper place to stay it would be easier to overlook, but with the going rate of a room (not cheap) I expected better. Advertised as tourist Not good, and overall not a happy customer.
Onsen within the hotel Customer Service is very good Good Price Dining Options are walking distance Q Theme park walking distance The only not so good is No Bus to go to Train station & not walking distance to Train
SUPER NEAR FUJI MOUNTAIN. ONSEN GOOD TOO. WALK DISTANCE SHOP AND DINNING PLACE. VALUABLE.
Enjoy onsen. This is traditional Japanese resort onsen. Good dinner and breakfast. Good service. However their local is inconvenient as the train station is not near the hotel. I paid expensive taxi fare from Kawaguchiko to this hotel.
I love their onsen specially the outdoor bath
So far so good
Generally it was a good experience. Exceptional view from our window. Very convenient free parking. Have only one remark: the carpet needs washing. And also would like a bit bigger pillow.
Nice view of Fuji mountain. Just the transportation to get there was quite limited. Otherwise, room was clean and family restaurants and convenient stores were nearby.
Every request they were able to accommodate. Free onsen. Views of Fuji. Excellent food. Laundry was available. They were able to allow me to checkout late. Beds comfy, and rooms impeccably clean. WiFi was slow but functional.
Excellent customer service, very welcoming. Location a bit of a challenge, no public transport nearby to Kawaguchiko. A 20 minute walk to the train station , or expensive cab. Not many restaurants nearby
The room was small but clean and affordable. The have a public bath on the property. It might be a hot spring bath, but not sure. Overall, very satisfied with my stay here
Location The hotel is located off the main strip of Fujiyoshida. Just under 20 minutes walk or 4 minutes drive from Mt. Fuji train station. Though a bus operates. It’s about the same to the famous theme park Fuji land & about 10 minutes drive to the car park to get on the bus to the 5th station Subaru line. The bus there runs up the mountain every half hour from 6am until 730pm. Within the area are various restaurants dining & fast food plus some shops including conscience stores, supermarkets, etc. Room Room on the 3rd floor, 307 was fairly large for a Japanese hotel & better than expected. Two double beds & one side bed can accommodate three adults. A small desk with the only power sockets in the room are offered along with a small fridge & TV. However, there is nothing for non-Japanese speakers to watch. The bathroom is the standard small style of which includes a shower cubicle. Large Shiseido shower gel, shampoo & conditioner are offered along with the dental kit. Washlet is also offered. Towels though are very small & thin. Digital AC with clear instructions though took a little while to cool the room down during Japanese heatwave. The room offered a great view of Mt. Fuji of which I climbed. Facilities The hotel offers quite fast WIFI for free and multiple devices. There is also a free onsen for guests but did not try it. Good coin laundry facilities & also plenty of vending machines. A large free car park is also offered. There is a restaurant but unsure if it is for the breakfast of which is not included but believe it costs 600 yen. Staff Most staff speak basic English but really make a lot of effort when it comes to information such as climbing Mount Fuji, providing bus times etc. They do have some flexibility with extending check out by one hour, which was much appreciated after climbing Fuji all night. The only weakness is that check-in is at 3 & check out at 10 - which is seen in some hotels. But it is very clean & reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area.
The Japanese style’s room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. All my family love it.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. You get free access to their onsen and we got a super view to Fuji from your room. This is not a high end hotel, but the staff is so caring and everything just works perfectly. Room WiFi worked perfectly and there are numerous restaurants nearby. Note that this hotel is closer to fujisan station, and there are less western tourists here compared to the area around Kawaguchiko station.
Wonderful Onsen, great menu at their restaurant, and good location for climbers who wish to climb nearby Mt. Fuji.
Value for money. Convenient location and you can get to fuji Q park on foot. Free parking and nice Onsen. Though it's not a new hotel, it's definitely clean. Recommended!
Great location and very clean hotel with onsen and restaurant.
Traditional style room futons on the floor but they are quite comfortable and with only four of us staying there was enough futons to have two each which made it quite comfortable. The Onsen onsite is very nice, clean and easy to understand use even for non-Japanese persons. The view of Mt Fuji from the window in the room is second to none, absolutely perfect location. We woke up and took photos out of our room window and they are as good as any postcard. I will attach one if possible. Convenience store directly opposite hotel was handy and $1 shop next door was also handy.... especially if you need gloves like I did. We had a rental car and there is plenty of parking at the front or back of the hotel. Fuji Q is about 1klm up the road so we walked to that instead of having to drive. Staff did not speak a lot of English but enough to get the job done with checking in, paying, using onsen and checking out. If we come back through I would stay here again. cheers Greg
great hotel with onsen and a good view of mt. Fuji. so many good restaurants within walking distance.
huge room. free parking. They must provide more towels. Location is very good and you can also use onsen for free 2018-12-17 they have changed their pillows, mattress. it's good now. and great view of mt. Fuji from the window (room 302)
If you carry a bulky item that you can't carry for walking about 20 minutes, you are advised to call a taxi for delivery. If you can afford the carrying of your luggage, it is easy to reach there by walking in this manner: (1) departing from Mt. Fuji Railway Station, (2) walking facing Mt. Fuji, (3) looking for the main road named Fuji-michi Street, (4) toward the end of this street, locating Yokomachi Bypass which is a highway (be careful when crossing the road!), (5) turning right, walking toward Fujikyu-Highland, and (6) walking about 10-15 minutes and you can see the building of this hotel.
Very helpful staff. 1 duplex outlet next to mirrow was controlled by switch on opposite wall, so some things did not charge overnight. Was a previous light outlet - this switch was next to bed. Staff was very helpful with ice before Mt Fuji climb and train/bus schedule before leaving. Easy walking to restaurants and Fuji-Q Highland roller coaster. Fantastic Vacation!
We booked a room for 3 people for 2 nights. Room was clean & big enough for 3 people. It’s a twin bed room with an extra bed( extra bed comfortable to sleep in). Our room (#305) has a view of Mt. Fuji. We can see Mt. Fuji from our room window (please see photos below). We had breakfast outside hotel during our stay as they serve only JP breakfast (JPY 700/person). The reason was that breakfast was served only with boiled eggs (we needed to have scrambled eggs at that time). The hotel has a coin vending machine inside so you can buy any drinks from here all night. The hotel has a free big parking lot (we parked our rented car there for 2nights). The hotel itself is located by the city main road and the other side of the main road has a KFC, a convenience store, a Japanese restaurant . Hotel is not far from Lake Kawaguchiko. Recommended hotel.
It was a little far from the train station, so we took a taxi to and from. Very easy to do as drivers were waiting outside the station and the front desk called a taxi for us. The best part was the view! Our room was facing Mt Fuji and no obstruction besides some clouds in the morning. A lot of restaurants in the surrounding area so we had our pick for dinner and right next to a Daiso so very convenient. The onsen was great. Nice and hot for a cold April evening and morning. Especially love the outdoor one!
The staffs were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and can be seen Mt.Fuji from the room.
Not convenient as Hotel did not provide pick up service from the bus station.
Just a stop over for a single night but wished we stayed for longer. Wanted to go up Fuji but weather stopped us. Close by lots of things to do but ran out of time to do em so next time may book for a longer stay.
We can just see Fuji from our room, imagine morning you lay on your bed and look at the Fuji. Staff not really can speak English but they still try their best to explain and answer for us. Around hotel has a lot of nice food. And it’s quite near to go around lake Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako. With the price, defitely recomend. but I Guess the location only good for those driving .
It's ok but not recommending. Bed mattress, pillows and blanket is not good. Having terrible stiff shoulder😥. They must provide more towels. Anyway location is very good and you have the access to the hot spring.

The onsen was great! Extremely good value for money. We were lucky so there was a wonderful view of Mt Fuji as well.
We came to Mt Fuji with just one thought in mind... to view the mountain every day at different hours. The non-negotiable condition that we had was that the hotel must have a outdoor spa pool, and that it has one with a full view is a plus! And the price itself also make it a hands done deal... And I took photos of Mt Fuji every morning from my room window!!! Especially like the convenience of so many places to eat just a short walk from the hotel. This is a great way to explore the many facets of Japanese cuisine! The only downside is the lack of transport to Mt Fuji station where we used to commute to other places of interest. Dont use Fukyu Highland... the buses and train stations are next to each other in Mt Fuji station, whereas the train station is a good 10-15 minutes walk to the bus station. All in all, tremendous value for the 3 nights we stayed there!
I chose to stay at this hotel because it is not far from both Fujisan Station and Fujikyu Highland Station which is not more than 10 mins from both places. I went to check in 1 hr earlier than the check in time and they allowed me to check in. I booked a non-smoking single room but was upgraded to a bigger room with 3 single beds inside, how lucky i was but i was alone. There is hot spring in this hotel with a few ponds indoor and 2 ponds outdoor. The good thing is I tried the ponds outside which are very relaxed with cold weather but I was so sad since i cannot see Mount Fuji that day as it was raining and cloudy for a whole day.
The accommodation was great value, good facilities and close to Mount Fuji.
Hotel was in a great location within walking distance of the nearby amusement park (Fuji-Q Highland) and many other restaurants. The attached Japanese bar/restaurant and hot springs were also a bonus. Great friendly staff!
Our room was small, as are most hotel rooms in Japan. It was basically furnished and provided any/all toiletries needed. There was a sento--hot tub + onsen--hot spring as part of a public bath, which made the experience even more traditional. For the feint of heart or overly modest...beware! Swimsuits NOT an option! For the price, one can not beat the experience. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming; several were pretty fluent in English, which made communication easier. They even offer a traditional Japanese-style breakfast (for a surcharge), though we didn't have time in our short schedule to partake in it (ordered take-out from McDonalds and KFC 100 meters down the street...I know, I know, but very limited for time due to alterations in our itinerary). I recommend anyone staying in the Mt. Fuji area to stay at this hotel. A couple points to consider: The "public" bath is also available for a fee to people who aren't staying at the hotel. Locals also use this, but it was never over-crowded the four times I was there over two days. From the train/bus station(s), it is at least a 1 km/15-minute walk, so consider a taxi to get back and forth if you aren't able to walk this distance or are otherwise apprehensive about walking with luggage. Tip: print a copy of the hotel (or any other destination) in Japanese language to hand to your driver to avoid any miscommunication.
Stayed 2 nights with 3 small kids. Room is spacious with direct Mt Fuji view. It is very pleasant. Price is super reasonable compared to those hotels near Kawaguchio lake. Only complaint is location ie. 1.6km from Fujisan Station. Need to spend 800JPY each time with taxi.
Very clean, very friendly, overall great environment.
were unlucky to face heavy snow on our 2 day stay. Basically, it spoiled our trip and we couldn't go anywhere. However, the front desk staff (Mr Tomorrow - that was translated from his Japanese name) was extremely helpful throughout the 2 days. He tried very hard to provide us with whatever information we required with perfect service attitude
It was in a very good area surrounded by many restaurants and conveniences, room was bigger than the average in Japan, I liked it
Great service and great experience. Hotel staff were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Room had a view of Fuji and the onsen was a great experience. It is a little ways out from some major attractions.
