We really liked the size of our room. Daniella on reception was very informative about where to hike for the best views. The food and restaurant staff were very good
The restaurant closed for two nights
The hotel is very clean and quiet, ideal for good night rest after some intense hike. Perfectly located in the town’s main street (where all the restaurants and shops are concentrated). Above all, I really appreciate the staff! All of them were so nice and attentive. One day I got a flue and the staff was so much caring and looking after me, they even brought me some food at the room as I wasn’t able to go to the breakfast.
Ubicación perfecta
Dans l’ensemble bien, chambre confortable. situation centrale.bureau pour excursion…petit déjeuner complet correct.
Un peu bruyant coté rue principale.
The hotel is good but some people who work there are extremely not helpful and rude. They seem very annoyed when you ask them a question or need something. My room was cold and the front desk was annoyed for me asking for a heater. The other lady Romona at the breakfast took 5 business days to bring mayonase. I asked her if she could please bring one. She brought it at the end of my meal when i was eating dessert. I came up to her to remind her thinking she forgot she said im busy and was laughing with her other coworker.
Fantastic, helpful staff. Huge breakfast and delicious onsite restaurant. Great location in the middle of town. Clean, large rooms with ameneties. Highly recommend if you go to El Chalten!
We loved everything, from the staff to the room. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to restaurants and hiking trails.
Insulation of the rooms could be better. The coffee available in the room is not great.
The breakfast was excellent. The bedroom was very comfortable with a variety of different pillows. A beautiful view in the breakfast room. Friendly staff.
The water temperature was not warm enough.
Great included breakfast, close to restaurants. Staff helpful. Bed was very comfortable.
Location
Breakfast arraingment could be better
What a great hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff who gave us maps and tips for which treks to do. Room was a good size with very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a small fridge and kettle in the room. Breakfast was reasonable - a small buffet selection with all the usual items. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - we ate there 2 nights - delicious food and wine at a good price. Bonus was the laundry service - a small bag of items returned within a few hours for 20,000 pesos.
The room was a little stuffy and as we were on the ground floor we didn’t want to leave the window open at night. This was one of the more expensive hotels we stayed in during our trip round Argentina, but seemed to be good value compared to other options in El Chaltén.
Muy buena atencion. Desayuno muy completo y ubiacion excelente.
Hotel central placed for easy walk to bars and restaurants. Weather was beautiful, but nowhere to sit outside. Breakfast standard, evening meal was good. Some very good restaurants near by. Rooms a bit bland but clean and comfortable. Staff helpful, laundry inexpensive and returned with a few hours. Parking on side of road but not a problem.
Inconveniente.
The hotel is very beautiful but the service is not good at all. Our first night there we went to the restaurant at 22:30 (closes at 23hrs). We asked two times if kitchen was still open, first at reception and then in the restaurant itself. They told us that we could sit and eat, so that's what we did. But one of the waitresses kept complaining out loud that they have to serve another table, she called us "crazy people" because we arrived at that time. We knew that it was late and that's why we asked two times if we could eat at the restaurant anyway. It was very disrespectful. I think she thought we didn't speak Spanish and that she could talk about us out loud without us noticing. Another thing was that when they cleaned up our room in the morning, they didn't refill the toilet paper, so at the end of that day we ran out of it. Also they refilled the body wash only with water, but we asked them to refill it with real soap and one of the girls from reception did it and she was very nice and apologised (the only one who seems to care). Another think that I didn't like was that you have to tell the reception at what time you want to have breakfast, and even when we did and we were there on time, they told us that there were no place to have breakfast and that we would have to came back later. Why would they ask for you to let them know what time you're going to have breakfast if still you won't have a place to sit? In addition to all that, the hotel itself is very noisy. You can hear people in the next room talking, sniffing, coughing and also we could hear a constant noise every day that woke you up at any time at night. We complained about this and the only answer from one of the receptionists was that she couldn't hear anything, and that she would look into it and let us know, but obviously she did nothing, not even apologizing. So definitely I wouldn't come back.
It a bit pricy but it s a great accommodation, very comfortable especially after a trek in the mountains!
Very central
It was way too hot in the room considering the price we paid, there should be at least a ventilator as it gets too hot during summer days
The room was clean and very big and had a balcony. Views from the dining room were nice before morning hikes.
The hotel was overpriced for what it was - I was expecting a more luxurious stay for the price. The design is a bit dated as well and there isn't really any place to meet or chat with other travelers.
Not much around in this tiny town. This hotel is quite old and needs major updating but the staff try very helpful and are really lovely kind! The breakfast is all fresh and nicely prepared. The room was clean but no regulation of temperature and it was boiling hot. We kept our door open for a while to get air. Towels scratchy and not enough. However bed was made daily and that was a welcome after a day of hiking. If you need a place to crash and nothing more it does the trick.
Great location, clean, friendly staff, early check-in, options for boxed lunch, good size room and having a terrace was a big plus.
The room was too hot and there was no way to control the temperature. We could open the terrace door to get some cool air in, but that was not ideal at night.
We didn’t actually stay the night at the property, but it looked like a very beautiful hotel. We could not stay the night because they were closing the road at midnight for the next day due to high winds and we had to leave to catch a plane in the morning, The hotel staff was very nice about canceling the reservation free of charge even though it was the same day. Fortunately, they were easily able to rent our room to another group who had to come a day early because of the road closure so it all worked out well for everyone!
Beware that if you’re planning to stay in this town that the roads are frequently closed due to high winds!
Nelson un gran recepcionista. Amable y colaborador
Habitacion y baño pequeños
It seems expensive for a room Not very charming and autentic for the place Just my advice
tres bon petit dejeuné, belle chambre spacieuse
un peu cher
This hotel is perfectly fine. It has four stars, and that rating feels appropriate. The restaurant is good, the breakfast is decent, the staff is helpful, and the rooms are comfortable. The location is right in the center of town. Nothing exceptional, but everything is completely satisfactory.
Good location, it seemed clean and room was spacious
Despite promising several times vegan breakfast they just gave my Bread as a breakfast. Simply bread. The breakfast buffet was poor and not tasty. Rooms are old. A/C was not working and they didn't fix that despite promising
Sehr gute Lage, sehr freundlich, gutes Frühstück.
Habitacion amplia y confortable.
Café da manhã muito bom, excelente localização.
Gostamos de tudo.
El personal excelente. Muy dispuesto a ayudarte y complacerte La habitación súper correcta y actualizada Cafetera y tetera. Heladera. Muy limpio
Very central and close to restaurants and hiking trails
It is overrated, too expensive for not having an updated facilities, the room has a very poor Wi-Fi, old fashion furniture and it was cold.
Very nice reception
Parking difficulties
I really wish I could give this hotel a 5 star but it is unfortunately a 2 due to noise and mold or mildew in the shower. We were very pleasantly greeted upon arrival and given a welcome bag of local hand soaps and bath salts and tea, and we're given amazing details on how to enjoy thr trails. They also explained how to clean our boots to avoid using towels (which makes complete sense) and how we get breakfast and can order a boxed lunch for our hike. We arrived at our room which was 303 a balcony room facing the mountains. The room was nicely decorated and they had a welcome bottle of wine and a kettle with teas. There was no thermostat for the room but it was of a very comfortable temperature so it seemed OK. The room appeared clean and we had a lovely evening. If it was that it qould be a five star but then we slept the night and oh gosh there were people in both rooms besides us and you. Would literally hear them peeing and talking and sneezing. I was woken up at 2am by the people beside us coughing and going to the bathroom. At 6am everyone was up and slamming doors and having alarms go off that sounded like they were in our room. Breakfast was decent. Nothing extraordinary but decent. The coffee was pretty grainy but again if all was equal it would be a 5 star. Then came a shower. Oh boy. Behind the shower door inside the shower was enough mildew accumulation from at least 4 months I would think. Good heavens. They need a heavy dose of bleach. The water pooled in my feet. I literally used a alcohol hand wipe to wipe my feet afterwards. The rest of the room appeared clean. When we checked out I told the lady at the desk to let housekeeping know about the mold or mildew and she just said "ok". Not "oh I am so sorry this isn't good to hear" but rather just "ok" and "bye". Lol. She never asked about our stay so maybe they will read this. I think the lack of carpeting greatly contributed to thr noise. Its amplified by the wood flooring. I was shocked there were not many mentions of noise but it might be that most people don't have anyone beside them and we did as a large group was there I dono! I wish I could give this place a 5 star but we barley slept and paid over $300 a night. It is a shame as its just a badly built hotel. The reception again was great except the person who checked us out.
location and cleanliness and size of room.
staff at breakfast controls if you take a snack for the road or not!! what if i do not want to eat at 6am but want to take my breakfast for later - like an apple or toast? I paid for it, why am i forced to eat at 6am before I leave for my hike??
Always forget to exchange new towels for my room.
Great place, great location and great staff. Right at the beginning of the main restaurant road. The hotel is facing a supermarket, a great bakery and sport equipment shops! Staff is very helpful in giving advice
Loved the convenience of the location, breakfast was great and hotel was helpful finding restaurants
Excellent hôtel. Staff are all exceptional and very knowledgeable. We stayed there towards the end of the season but still plenty to do. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, allowed us late checkout with no charge but also gave us great recommendations for hikes and activities. Highly recommend.
The hotel was modern and clean. Breakfast service was excellent and came with the room. We were on the ground floor and when we opened the window a cat walked in so be careful if you don’t like cats. We were close to everything and walked from the Mirador Fitz Roy through town to the hotel.
No other better choice
Far then people said “near the tails entry of fitz roy “
Nice, spacious room with a beautiful outlook to the mountains. Quiet for sleeping. Good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Payment for stay was handled by a 3rd party TAB who charged an extra fee for processing payment in our country's currency without authorisation. This was unacceptable and not able to get this charge back. The breakfast options were terrible. Limited fruit and stale cake/ biscuits on offer. WiFi was bad. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. They provided useful information on hikes in area. Great central location to take hikes in El Chalten.
Our hotel room was spacious, and we had a wonderful view of the mountains. Everyone at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful! I can’t say enough good things about everyone we encountered that works here. They helped us plan our hikes based on the weather, arrange a shuttle, and answered all of our questions. The hotel was in walking distance from trailheads, stores, and restaurants. Staying here was a great experience!!
Love everything about it!!
muy bueno todo
muy bien ubicado. restaurante excelente y buenos precios.
I loved my room with a view of Mt Fitzroy and the fact that the window opened which kept the room fresh from over heating
The breakfast was not up to standard for a boutique hotel. Travellers now require more healthy unsweetened options and a range of protein options, in particular eggs.
Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Good variety of food at breakfast.
Great location, very nice hotel to stay if you're in town to hike Laguna de Los Tres.Great restaurants walking distance.
N/A everything was great.
Great location, rooms are large and have everything you need. Breakfast is a little on the basic side unless you want to eat lots of cake!
Our room and bathroom were spacious and nice. I had a small fridge in the room. It was very clean. Staff were all excellent and helpful. Breakfast was decent and staff nice. Restaurant was just okay but not bad.
Very nice hotel at a good location (middle of the small village). At arrival, we got a full explanation about the trails in El Chalten, which was very useful! The staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we found other places in town more appealing. The trails are easy to reach from the hotel.
The breakfast is following the same formula as all other hotels in Argentina. Some white bread, basic cheese and ham, lots of sweet (but dry) cakes, standard scrambled eggs that look exactly the same in all hotels (seems to come from a ready-to-go package?), some fruit, yoghurt etc. Very basic. Like other hotels in Patagonia, the balance quality/quantity was wrong, its too expensive for what you get. But I guess that is part of going to Patagonia.
Nice place, well situated in town, with very good rooms. The restaurant is nice, excellent service but the food is mid. You can eat well for 100 dollars but nothing special in flavor terms, although presentation is very elaborated and the menu has good amplitude.
We booked Chalten Suites Hotel for 3 nights months in advance. When we arrived, we were told they overbooked by 6 rooms and we were therefore being transferred to Hotel Lunajuim right beside. We were not given a choice. It was Lunajuim or nothing. The staff at Lunajuim were lovely but it’s a very basic hotel. We paid for Chalten Suites and did not get Chalten Suites. The compensation Chalten Suites gave to us was one bottle of wine.
Wonderful staff and excellent service Very comfortable
This is probably one of the best hotels in El Chalten. Excellent spacious rooms, pretty good breakfast, great views of Fitz Roy. The location was convenient and we just walked here from the bus station. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes within 5 minutes of walking. They have an elevator as well so it made it easier to get the bags to our room. The restaurant had excellent reviews though we didn't get time to try it out.
Pros: great location, beautiful view of the Mt Fitz Roy from the breakfast area and dining hall, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, good selection of complementary breakfast menu and friendly staff. Cons: the room is a bit small and pricey.
Location
Thin walls Easily heard next room neighbors Breakfast mediocre
Love the view of the mountains. Clean and spacious room. Great breakfast. Staff were exceptionally helpful and available.
Decent newly built, on the main street and about 15 minute walk to the entrance to the National Park trails. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was okay. The water was shut off after midnight and the pipes kept making weird noises, keeping us up all night. We later found out that water had gone out in the whole town. Its less than a 10 minute walk from the bus station. Taxis in El Chalten are expensive as is everything else. We had dinner 2 nights at the restaurant. Though the food was good, and the service was good, we (wife and I) got sick with stomach cramps after our 2nd dinner. We couldn't try the breakfast, as we left for hikes early in the morning. A coffee maker and a fan in the room would have been nice. The room and bathroom were good size, with adequate seating and great views of Mt Fitzroy.
A newly built hotel on the main street of the town, close to shops, cafes, and restaurants and a 20-minute walk from the entrance to the National Park and trails. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The layout of the building is weird, and it feels like they added sections haphazardly. They are a 10 minute walk from the bus station. The room was big, with comfortable beds and a couple of chairs. The bathroom was big with good water pressure and good hot water. An in room coffee maker and a ceiling fan would have been nice. We couldn't have breakfast, as we left to hike very early in the morning. We did have dinner, and the food was okay, but we (wife and I) had stomach trouble. I would have given 4 stars, but when you are paying $300/night, you expect more. The water went off after midnight and the pipes made weird noises and kept us up all night. Later, we found out that there was a city-wide water outage and so it wasn't the hotel's fault.
Service is good !
Location
Location was great! All restaurants were within walking distance and 10 blocks away from start of all major trails. Properly is well maintained with friendly staff. They provided us great recommendations on trails and how to prepare. Breakfast and food was good. Rooms were clean and well kept.
Very close to the main hikes and super friendly staff
Felt like home and staff was very helpful and always happy.
