The breakfast could be improved by offering more fresh fruit and a wider selection of hot dishes, such as sausages and bacon. The best feature is the excellent location, the metro station is only a two-minute walk away, which made exploring the city very easy and convenient.

The property is located centrally to many activities. Easy to walk. Lots to do. Great restaurants, bars, and shopping.

The property is a bit overdue for some maintenance and shows its age.

Great room with lots of natural light and a kitchenette stocked with basic plates, glasses, silverware, etc. I wouldn't have expected to do a ton of cooking, but it was really nice to have those. Good, safe location and we enjoyed the lovely shared terrace as well.

We were in the secondary building that was a few doors down from the main building where reception is--no elevator in that one so had 2 flights of stairs--was totally fine for us, and we know that happens in old buildings, just noting in case it helps others plan.

Based on the website I thought it was a high end spa hotel, but when we arrived it was more of an apartment rental. We were in a different building, no elevator and none of the amenities I had expected. I should have done better research before booking!

Certains détails, notamment dans la salle de bain. Le fait d'être dans un bâtiment différent de celui de mes filles, pas très pratique de devoir passer par l'extérieur pour aller au petit déjeuner.

The reserved parking was very tight due to a truck which should not have been parked there. The jet bath shower would not extend so was difficult to rinse.

La seconde chambre que nous avons reçue était comparable aux photos. Confortable et tres jolie. Le double vitrage n’est pas du tout efficace. Le bruit extérieur est impressionnant. Le bruit des pas des voisins de l'étage supérieur également.

J’ai reçu une chambre de bonne, sombre sans âme, avec une petite fenêtre sur une cage d'escalier. Après réclamation j’ai reçu une chambre digne d’un hôtel.

Très bien situé, personnel très sympa et les chambres sont confortables. La terrasse au 4ème est vraiment un atout : le calme dans la ville, pour lire, travailler.

Le petit dejeuner pourrait être un peu plus diversifié et moins sucré.

A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. We especially enjoyed the roof deck with its ample seating and pleasant views of inner city gardens and the lovely Park St-Louis across the street. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll return in the winter and enjoy the spa!

The view out our window was the brick wall of an airshaft. Next time I will request a better view.

Een kamer aan de straat is niet aan te bevelen. Er is erg veel geluidsoverlast van verkeer en cafe's om de hoek.

Ne pas prendre de chambre qui donne directement sur la rue, car les fenêtres sont mal isolées et c'est bruyant la nuit.

C'était joli, belle terasse, nous avons apprécié le déjeûner, près d'un parc et d'une station métro. Je suis contente d'avoir réserver un stationnement à l'avance à l'hotel.

Notre chambre n'était pas prête à l'heure prévue, nous avons dû attendre 40 minutes. Nous avons eu d ela difficulté à trouver notre chambre, par manque d'instruction, elle était dans un autre bâtiment. La circulation en auto est à éviter, c'est très long et il n'y a aucun stationnement.

The breakfast was very basic. You should have a pair of water bottles at least the first day . The staff at the front desk were okay but not knowledgeable about the area. So they were not able to be helpful..

The bed was comfortable, the metro is nearby and the large windows let in lots of natural light.

The room and bathroom were very small and felt more like a hostel or student residence than a hotel. I had to move furniture to be able to open my suitcase on the floor. Breakfast was repetitive and lacked variety and the cooking facilities were limited in the room. The shower didn't drain properly, leaving water pooled around your ankles, while things in the drain reappeared in the basin. The fridge hummed constantly throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. While most of the staff were lovely, my experience with the spa was disappointing. I had been looking forward to using it but was made to feel like a nuisance simply for asking how it worked, having never been before. There were clumps of hair floating in the pool water so I didn't stay long. I heard staff talking about me in French, apparently assuming I would not understand.

Very poor renovations….scratches on walls. A HUGE crack in my bathroom sink. Water from sink drained very slowly. After six days….the breakfasts became rather repetitive! Signs on windows indicating “Indian Food”….no Indian food”…. and there hasn’t been for 2 YEARS!! Terrace was a lovely relaxing spot…but the planters need attention…. full of weeds!

Insgesamt ein gutes Zimmer mit wirklich gutem Badezimmer. Leider hatten einige Küchengeräte keine Funktion, es wurde aber sofort geholfen!!! Der Spa ist für ein Hotel dieser Größe wirklich außerordentlich gut! Leider sind nordamerikanischen Frühstücke wenig einfallsreich. Hier muss man erwähnen, dass es während unseres 5tägigen Aufenthalts auch einmal morgens Lachs gab (!!), dazu jedem Morgen frische Croissants. Das Rührei kam nicht aus der Tüte!

I had a truly wonderful weekend at Hôtel & Spa Carré Saint‑Louis, where we went to celebrate Nancy's special birthday. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm, perfect for such a memorable occasion. The staff [shout out to William] were consistently welcoming, attentive, and professional, making the entire experience feel personal and effortless. A special thank you to Majid, the hotel manager, who was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to find solutions that ensured our stay was smooth, comfortable, and truly enjoyable. The spa experience was exceptional. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and deeply relaxing. I also had a massage with Sam, which was outstanding. Sam’s skill and care made it one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating treatments I’ve had. Overall, it was a delightful and refreshing getaway, and I would highly recommend Carré Saint‑Louis to anyone looking for a special, relaxing escape.

The elevator was temporarily out of service, but it was repaired the following day. The team handled it well and minimized any inconvenience.

Location is excellent. Pretty good breakfast. Decent rooms.

My room (206) had no external window, so almost zero natural light. Really should not be sold as an “executive” room.

Zimmer war in Ordnung und wie beschrieben. Küchenzeile war mit Wasserhahn und mobiler Kochplatte sowie Mikrowelle vorhanden, ebenso ein Kühlschrank. Badezimmer hatte eine Duschwanne sowie großzügigen Spiegel.

Zugang zum Zimmer war nicht barrierefrei (falls benötigt). Ein Aufzug führt in den jeweiligen Stock, jedoch ist eine große Stufe in den Lichthof, in welchem über ein Gitter in den anliegenden Bereich geführt wird. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war in den Lichthof durch welchen alle Personen durch müssen. Hierdurch war es zeitweise auch etwas laut.

L'hôtel est idéalement placé au cœur du carré Saint-Louis, un des quartiers que je trouve les plus agréables et beaux de Montréal, aux pieds du métro, ce qui permet de circuler très facilement. La chambre était calme et spacieuse.

La porte de ma chambre frottait à chaque ouverture ou fermeture.

Parfait avec du chaud et du froid au dejeuner.

La chambre n'était pas propre. 220$ la nuit, on espère avoir une chambre nickel, C'est la base. Très mauvais rapport qualité/prix. Un labyrinthe pour accéder à la chambre. Le petit déjeuner était très moyen. Prix du stationnement trop élevé.

Même si c'est effectivement écrit, la présence de photos de piscine est trompeur.. L'accès à la chambre a été un parcours du combattant : ascenseur, couloir, passage par l'extérieur avec des escaliers etc. Un enfer avec des valises. Impossible avec un handicap ! Les lits ne sont soient pas queen size soit c'est un problème de matelas trop mou. Confort zéro. Zéro place en couple. Le petit déjeuné est une catastrophe. Absence de basique (pâte à tartiner, beurre, jus d'orange...) - le plus mauvais hôtel que j'ai pu faire.

Hôtel pas soigné, peinture sur les murs très tachée, douche avec les joints très sales . Nous avons séjourné 3 jours, ménage dans la chambre pas fait . Petit déjeuner très succinct.

Location was perfect, so central, close to everything and right on St Denis which is such a lively street full of restaurants, bars and cafes.

Breakfast was fairly basic but given its included in the price, its ok.

We had to change our room two times because they each had some problems. Some of the rooms are also in another building. The SPA is also expensive($50 per person). They also don't let go SPA after 9:30 pm. Finding parking was also a challenge.

L’hôtel était très bien : bien situé, avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Cependant, le service du personnel n’était pas à la hauteur d’un établissement 3 étoiles. À mon arrivée, l’accueil a été plutôt froid. J’ai versé une caution de 200 $, ce qui est tout à fait normal. On m’a informée que celle-ci serait recréditée après mon départ. Le jour de mon départ, un autre réceptionniste m’indique que le remboursement sera effectué dans un délai de 5 jours. Au bout de 5 jours, ne voyant rien sur mon compte, j’ai patienté encore quelques jours. Le 7e jour, j’ai envoyé un email : on m’a répondu que le remboursement avait été effectué, mais je ne voyais toujours rien apparaître. J’ai donc relancé une seconde fois, sans réponse, puis une troisième fois. On m’a finalement demandé de rappeler. Entre-temps, j’ai bien reçu le virement. J’ai donc décidé d’appeler non pas pour me plaindre, mais pour confirmer que tout était réglé, remercier l’équipe et même envisager de réserver à nouveau un séjour. Malheureusement, l’échange téléphonique a été très désagréable. Dès que j’ai donné mon nom, le monsieur au téléphone ne m’a pas laissé m’exprimer et s’est mis à me parler de façon agressive, en affirmant que je l’appelais encore pour la caution et que je lui faisais perdre son temps. Je n’ai même pas eu l’occasion d’expliquer la raison réelle de mon appel. Je trouve cette attitude très regrettable et peu professionnelle. C’est d’autant plus dommage que mon expérience globale dans l’établissement était positive.

Lorsque j'ai demandé au personnel de changer de chambre cela a été possible et j'ai passé un meilleur séjour que ma première nuit. L'emplacement est idéal. Dans ma seconde chambre il y avait une belle lumière, de l'espace et c'était beaucoup plus confortable et propre. Les déjeuners sont franchement rudimentaires mais si vous êtes sans gluten il y a des options.

La 1e chambre (la 308) qui m'a été attribuée était très inconfortable, extrèmement bruyante (une porte grinçait toute la nuit et on aurait dit que les gens qui passaient dans le couloir étaient dans la chambre tellement c'était bruyant). Le mobilier était assez abîmé et l'espace de la chambre était très mal agencé. La seconde chambre qui m'a été attribuée était sans comparaison avec la 1e, le jour et la nuit.

J'en étais à mon 3eme ou 4eme séjour. Donc si j'y retourne c'est qui j'y suis très satisfait. de façon générale.

La chambre était propre, bien placée, conforme à ce qui avait été annoncé. Le personnel est agréable, le service de bagagerie pratique.

Certains équipements sont abîmés (robinetterie mal fixée, fils électriques de la hotte apparents...). Dans la salle de petit déjeuner, le papier se décolle et la peinture cloque. Une caution est prélevée à l'arrivée sans que cela ne soit annoncé au moment de la réservation. L'accès au spa n'était pas compris et nous le savions mais il est cher (50$ hors taxes pour 3h)...

Bon rapport qualité/prix avec possibilité de parking sur place.

Fantastic location! Right across from the metro and surrounded by lots of fantastic shops and restos.

The spa facilities were nice but very loud. They are in a basement (which is very well appointed) but the sound of the waterfall in the pools echos throughout taking away some of the relaxation.
