Drury Plaza Hotel Phoenix Tempe

We loved the Dinner and breakfast, the kids liked the pool and hot tub.

The bottom of the pool is really rough, my kids played in it for hours, and then complained about their feet and toes were sore from the pool. The queen size beds aren't actually queen size, they are much smaller.

Everything. We stayed for two days. We enjoyed it so much so that we booked another night. Rooms were nice. Beds were soft. Food was great. Staff was very kind.

I liked the price, the free breakfast and dinner.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Clean, we arrived pretty late hungry and tired, we’re happy to have a hot meal prepared at the Plaza dining area in the lobby. I personally like the location because there is a EOS gym within walking distance

While we love all the Drury locations, this one in particular stood out because of the staff. They called us by name throughout our stay, they were always ready to go above and beyond and always had an amazing attitude no matter what "role" they were. We will be booking at this location again and again!

Great location near freeway and restaurants. The pool and gym were very nice. The small restaurant and dining area were great. Property and room were extremely clean.

There seemed to be a lot of people at the pool that we suspected weren’t guests of the hotel. However, it was still very comfortable.

I have nothing against pets but I guess I didn’t realize we were staying in a pet friendly hotel, so didn’t particularly enjoy all the pets in the hotel especially during breakfast and the happy hour.

My stay at the Drury Hotel Tempe, Arizona was wonderful. The location is great and not far from the airport. Upon check-in the front desk staff was very friendly and wonderful. The room was really nice and the entire hotel appearance was kept up very nice. The whole staff that works at this hotel was very helpful and friendly. This hotel have a great breakfast buffet and evening Kickback dinner that is absolutely awesome, which is included with your stay. I encountered a problem with my refrigerator and it was replaced right away. I also noticed that there were a lot of guests traveling through to stay at this hotel, and everyone seemed very friendly and from talking with them, they enjoyed the service and their stay at this hotel. I would highly recommend the Drury Hotel Tempe, Arizona because it is a wonderful place to stay while traveling and the value that you get for your money is worth it. As I continue to travel, I will continue to stay and check out other Drury Hotels because I like staying at hotels that know how to appreciate their guests.

I will not be returning. I am a rewards member and stay at this hotel every 6 weeks or so. I always paid a $50 fee for my pet per stay. Now it is $50 per day. The kitchen area was dirty. Kids all over the place without adult supervision. People are taking advantage of the summer deals and having 2 families in one room so they can use the pool and eat for free.

The staff was amazing, the food delicious, the rooms spotless, and the pool refreshing!

From the time we arrived until we checked out the staff were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a positive experience. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the pool sparkled. The breakfast was hot and tasty with a broad variety of items to satisfy every palette. The evening get together was not a disappointment either. Again, a nice variety of food and drinks.

Drury is always top quality. The Tempe location is no exception. Excellent value, squeaky clean rooms, complimentary breakfast, and accommodating staff. I've stayed at many Drurys, and this Tempe location several times. No need to compare with competitors; this is the best.

Happy hour and breakfast was awesome . Place is well run , organized and very clean . No reason to stay anywhere else in the area !.

The Druy in Flagstaff does not cover up the juice & soda machines. Allowing you to enjoy refreshments at your convenience. Which was nice staying multiple nights. The one we just stayed at did not. After staying at Flagg. multiple times this has become my norm related to staying at a Drury hotel. Not a huge deal just a bit annoying just thought it was a convenience enjoyed at any Druy.

As a veteran health professional who is in Arizona to volounteer for the World Parkinson Congress - I organized a few days prior to acclimatize myself to Phoenix -I now feel compelled to write this review . What makes this place so particularly wonderful - besides that the hotel’s common places and my room are immaculate , breakfast is more then generous from eggs to pancakes, from yogurt to fruit cup etc etc .- it’s the STAFF . I would be remiss if I did not detail my experience . Andrew, the general manager includes in his mandate - helping all his staff with a smile and grace when needed . Evelyn , a manager was beyond wonderful and went above way above - to help address whatever she could to support my stay ❤️ Dani Rae,Alexis and Sorochi are at the front desk and clearly love what they do and each of them in their own way took incredible care of me - For example Sorochi - assured that I would feel more than Comfortable after my very long flight from Montreal . Finally the staff serving food and drinks , Rita Ana and Fiorella and the bartenders - were genuinely caring . I would not hesitate to recommend this to friends and family .

Every aspect of this hotel stay was EXCEPTIONAL. From the greeting at check in to the rooms, and every staff member's friendly "can do" attitude. It was an amazing experience. Didn't expect all of the "extras" (24/7 access to fountain drinks; dinner & complimentary alcoholic beverages; incredible cleanliness; excellent selections for meals; comfortable/clean lobby/rooms --- everything just PERFECT. The staff is to be commended for their attention to detail, friendliness, and "can do" attitudes. WELL DONE. Don't think I've ever been greeted by such an incredible lady at the check-in. Great personality and beautiful smile. THANK YOU!!!

Breakfast was outstanding! Spinach-bacon scrambled eggs very good. Very generous. We also had appetizers and a cocktail after a graduation. Great!

This hotel was easily one of the best hotels I have ever booked. From the magnificent location, to the pool, the food, and service, you won't do better. Everything is modern, clean, and well lit, especially at night. The pool is large, clean, and at a very comfortable temperature. The fitness center is small, but has mostly what you need, and us open 24/7. The breakfast is excellent, plentiful, and satisfying. Coffee is included all day long. At 5:30PM, everyday, they have a reception for customers that offers excellent food, snacks, and even meals.... all included! Each adult can have up to 3 alcoholic drinks on the house daily. Good stuff, too. The rooms are spacious, and comfortable. My complaints are minimal. The pool grounds need to be hydroblasted, as there are some concrete stains. The pillows are way too soft. That's it. Best deal around.

I was expecting the free breakfast but I was not expecting the free dinner! I was so relieved as we were going to figure out a place to eat in Phoenix. Very convenient when traveling with a child. The place was clean, the staff was excellent and the food was good. We would stay here again.

I’m getting used to most hotels proving makeup removal towelettes and lotion. I was surprised these were not provided. This is my only wish list items otherwise we love Drury and will continue to make them a top and frequent choice even talked drury up to others at the conference we were in town for and might have made some future extra customers! :)

If you’re traveling to the Tempe/Phoenix metroplex area, there will be a ton of hotel choices to choose from. Stay in the Phoenix metroplex area and the prices will take a big bite out of your travel budget… especially if you stay at any of the “resort” hotels. Paying extra for resort fees and standard amenities just because the hotel’s address (and taxes) says “Phoenix” is a crime. The next time you’re in the area, try staying at the Drury Plaza Hotel at 1780 W Ranch Road in Tempe, AZ. It’s just a couple of minutes away by any number of highways or the interstate, and the prices, service, amenities, and warm welcome more than make up for a couple of minutes of your time! This hotel offers well maintained rooms at very reasonable prices, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and free drinks & appetizers in the evening, easy on/off interstate access, ample free parking, and some of the nicest staff you’ll ever meet! Ask to speak to the General Manager - Andrew Gitch, and you’ll see that his infectious energy and dedication to customer excellence starts at the top and is shared throughout the staff. There’s also a pool, 24-hour exercise room, and so many more amenities… and they don’t charge extra for them either! The Drury Plaza Hotel is located in Tempe – just 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix, and is conveniently located near Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert in East Valley. It is close to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Arizona State University, Arizona Mills Mall, Tempe Diablo Stadium, Desert Willow Conference Center, the Cotton Center Business Park, and companies such as Unitek EMT, MiTek, and Amazon. So, if you’re travelling for business or pleasure, give the Drury Plaza Hotel in Tempe AZ a try, and I’m sure you’ll make it your regular stop when visiting the Tempe/Phoenix metroplex area.

We booked a large king as this was to be our last night and needed to pack carefully for our flight back to the UK (and train from London). The extra space was a living room which we immediately filled the floor with bags and clothes! The bedroom was large and comfortable, some traffic noise but not to disturb sleep. We made the last few minutes of the evening buffet, staff were so friendly, reminding us that the bar would soon close and that they would keep food out for a while. Similarly helpful staff at the buffet breakfast. We didn't try the pool, but this proved an excellent location for outlet shopping and Sky Harbor airport.
