Homely. Great staff
Nothing
Everything was excellent...I can thoroughly recommend staying at The New Inn at Lechlade!
Loved being at the local pub , the staff knew the local people and were very friendly and helpful
Everything. Lovely pub, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, lovely food, good price
Really nice old style pub and hotel. Rooms are quirky. Great location. Great food. Staff very approachable and helpful. Let us change from a twin room to a double for our 2nd night. Good value for money with reasonable food and drinks prices. Richard who worked on the reception was extremely nice and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
Only down side was being in a room on our 2nd night which was a bit noisy due to traffic and a cafe underneath. Don't want to mark it down for this as it's the nature of the beast being in an old building.
Breakfast was ok
Very friendly staff
Lots of steps - uneven, easy to trip
This is how to manage a hotel in an historic building. Lots of character and charm, but still excellent facilities, a top-notch restaurant and staff who go above and beyond to help guests to feel at home.
The location was convenient and parking facilities good. The staff were lovely and helpful.
The room felt very dated, more like a university dorm than a hotel room. For the price, cracked walls, uncomfy pillows and basic amenities, felt disappointing. The window didn’t shut fully so I was exposed to all the general pub noise until late as my room sat over the entrance to the pub. It also let the smoke in from smokers taking their breaks, which I’ve always struggled with the smell of. So to not be able to get fresh air was frustrating. I just felt the room needs a bit of upkeep/modernising/upgrading for the £140 per night price tag (breakfast included). It felt cheap and basic and I don’t think the process reflects that.
Colazione favolosa!
Lovely staff and great breakfast.
Staff couldn’t do enough. Proper period Inn where proper hospitality is alive and kicking. Not pretentious - just good accommodation, tasty fresh breakfast and a well kept cellar - run by friendly and capable staff.
Nothing to dislike.
Been here a few times really like it
My room was not in the main hotel, and unfortunately the guys next door weren't quiet till about 2am ,outside also was a trestle table ,I📛I had to listen to four guys going on about their marital status and who they had slept with within it
the breakfast was excellent/the room was fantastic. the staff were so friendly
there was nothing we didnt like
Location and people were great.
some noise puts rooms
Convenient location & the food tasted good. The bed was comfy.
The room was very hot and could have been hoovered better. The shower over the bath took ages to warm up. The sockets weren’t in convenient places. You couldn’t take food & drink to the room but they didn’t supply drinking water. The mirror in the bathroom was at a strange angle.
We loved the service of Simon so much, and it was such a cosy accommodation

Good location, great staff who made us very welcome
Location and staff
Location is ideal, so close to the river, and with the benefit of a good sized car park too.
Literally nothing!
Great room, amazing food in the restaurant, very welcoming and personable owner/manager, beautiful location & garden on the Thames, good value
Nothing
The location
Our room was nothing like as advsertised in the 'shiny' pictures on line. We booked a room with a double bed ... got two singles! Bathroom was VERY small .. so small the bath mat was too big to fit between the toilet and shower. The toilet was so close to the shower it made it difficult to get out the shower! It was dirty, nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom ( thw floor was the only option ) and the shower head was broken. On leaving we weren't asked if we enjoyed our stay/ was everything ok ... yhe gentleman just took our key. We presumed it was because he knew we'd had the worst room in the hotel, he didnt want to take on our annoyance and he didn't care anyway. Very poor service. I wouldn't recommend.mend this hotel and we will never stay there again.
We had a twin room which was very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. A good location next to the river Thames.
Conveniently situated for our trips to Kelmscott Manor and Buscot Park, this fine Coach Inn offers a lively bar, tasty, well-cooked pub food and a lively atmosphere. Our room and en-suite were clean , our bed deliciously comfortable. Some rooms are quirkily located around the long courtyard that leads to a private parking area with a grassy river frontage and views of the 1/2 penny bridge and narrow boats moored nearby. This is a beautiful historic building and the hospitality within is refreshingly and welcomingly unpretentious.
Super prijs boven een leuke pub! Vriendelijk personeel, toplocatie!

Lovely food, staff were superb, really friendly place
It was on the ground floor
Rather crude location of rooms with smokers right outside one's window, which in summer, was annoying.
Localizacion
Lovely old building, great location
Hot - west facing attic room, only a small fan, but the innkeepers are doing what they can.
Old world charm, staff
Convenient and the staff were most obliging.
The staff were all wonderful and really helpful. So kind and thoughtful. The bar was lovely, the food delicious and the location was excellent. The room was very comfortable and we were on the ground floor so were able to enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the weather.
My only slight niggle is that the housekeeping was a little hit and miss. Really helpful but then the next day no tea bags or clean towels. Otherwise everything was great.
Sehr authentisch, gutes Essen
Ruime kamer in mooi oud gebouw

The check in was great and they guy in charge on that day was super helpful! We had a room on the top floor in 35 degree heat so it wasn’t as comfortable as we would have liked but the weather isn’t the hotels fault. We didst try the food in the hotel. The breakfast was adequate, everything was fresh and the cooked breakfast hot. Overall a good experience and would stay again
We partly chose the hotel because it had an EV charger. However, people parked in those spots not charging. The hotel manager was really helpful trying to find the owners of the cars but unsuccessful. Not really the hotels fault but better signage would help, clear instructions not to park in those spots unless charging. There were plenty of empty spaces in he car park. It is frustrating when none EV drivers park in the spots when they can see what it is for and there is plenty space available close by!
Good location for walking along the Thames Path Close to a very good fish restaurant - New Wave Good wifi Parking just behind the pub
Price went up as I was booking the room which was slightly bizarre Quite noisy outside our room with drinkers
Prima restaurant, is altijd goed bezet. Het ontbijt is plateservice, maar erg goed. Verschillende keuzes.
Booked last minute when visiting diddly squad farm. Friendly staff on arrival and nice atmosphere in bar. clean comfortable room . Breakfast was included with plentiful juice and coffee and English breakfast no complaints would stay again .
Very central location, staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good, Dinner excellent and large portions, all cooked well. Staff were exceptionly nice. Rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable. A good location.
Would have liked a chair in the rooms rather than a puffay. Also a lower rail to hang towel on in the bathroom of the one single room. I could not reach the rail above the toilet. I also could not reach the coat hangers in the single bedroom wardrobe, you would have to be 6 foot or more to reach them. There were a lot of stairs up to our rooms.
Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked on request and team were happy to change anything from what was on the menu. Room could do with some modernising but was clean and bed comfortable and easy for overnight parking.
A part from some modernising it is difficult to say what there was to dislike.
The breakfast
Room in the pub was very dirty and dusty. Needs a total refurbishment.
Easy parking. Excellent food.
Could find no fault.
Perfect if travelling with a dog as the pet friendly room was in a ground floor room with own entrance and a very large garden at the rear. Very comfortable room and beds.
Motorbikes driving fast up and down the driveway during the evening.
Excellent in every way.
Location and very friendly staff.
The New Inn is perfectly located in the centre of Lechlade. Although the room was quite small, it was large enough and quite comfortable with a nice view of the river at the back. There is ample parking, a really large garden on the river and plenty of benches outside. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
The room was very hot, but we were staying at the end of a heat-wave.... air conditioning would have been perfect, but it wasn't expected. There was a fan in the room but it was very small and not really sufficient. I very much doubt the room would be hot in normal circumstances.
Great food at their restaurant. Good breakfast. We had a very quite room. Had a charging point for our rental car.

Nice place to stay whilst visiting The Cotswolds. Friendly staff, good food and comfortable accommodation.
New duvet would be beneficial as a little stained but duvet covers clean. Toilet back cover broken.
Lieu pittoresque, bien situé et atypique
The location was very good, right in the middle of the town
Very noisy. We had a room right opposite the main entrance to the pub
The beds were comfortable and the location is great.
I booked this hotel for one night a couple of months ago but they cancelled on us saying it was only available as a two night booking and it had been a mistake. I couldn't get anywhere else suitable as we were on a walking holiday so I waited and, sure enough, the room became available again for one night, only this time it was £40 extra. They didn't acknowledge this or offer the original price. In addition, there was a loud 21st birthday party going on which, when you read their website, all adds up to a bit of a poor description: "Whether you seek the peace and tranquility of a weekend break in rural surroundings, bed and breakfast as part of a business schedule or simply need a place to sleep during a journey, we can accommodate you."
personnel très accueillant, très bons repas
The property is an old coaching inn, with plenty of atmosphere and character.
All was good
The hotel was very close to the two places we wanted to visit. And the riverside location was good. The staff were happy, helpful and just lovely. The food was very good. The shower was easy to use and very refreshing in the middle of a heatwave. We really enjoyed our stay.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Good central location with car park on site behind the pub. Very helpful friendly staff.
Tiny en - suite.
Proximity, parking, water
Bathroom not very clean Needs to be updated a little Carpets in hallways seemed a bit worn out
Erg leuk.
Both dinner and breakfast were excellent!
We thought the room was comfortable and very clean and all in all 10/10
Centrale location in Lechdale
Beds were good. Friendly staff. Location was very good.
Many flies in bedroom. Late night disco on sight was very noisy up until 11.30. Tired decorations and out-of-date facilities.
It's a long-established family business and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable (I was walking the Thames Path with my son and they found us a twin, rather than the double we'd booked) and the dinner was good. Recommended!
We stay with the New Inn annually as part of a trip rowing the Thames. The New Inn is perfect for accommodating us at the start of our endeavour. Simon and his team are very welcoming and hospitable to a group of hungry and thirsty rowers! The rooms suit our needs. The food and service is exceptional. Plus it’s located in one of the most beautiful towns in England.
Good location. Staff were fine. Nice breakfast.
We went with 6 other couples and without doubt our room was the worst! Top floor, over looking noisy street, small double bed that sagged in the middle and super noisy bathroom fan. Not great and we paid quite a bit for this.
Great location and staff
Nothing at all
A lovely old pub with comfortable guest rooms. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. I ate a meal in the pub one evening and it was great.
Everything! Room is clean and comfy, location is fantastic and the staff are very welcoming and responsive. The restaurant on site is amazing!
Nothing.
We were so delighted when we arrived as we’d booked last minute and hadn’t really done much research. The hotel is in the centre of a gorgeous village. It’s very smart with plenty of parking and the large garden area backs onto the river. It was lovely to see the boats and ducks and the beautiful Ha’penny bridge. Our rooms were large, immaculate and well appointed. Very comfy beds and a huge shower (which I’m a big fan of!)
The only suggestion I have is that they install refillable soap/shampoo/shower gel dispensers rather than having the little, single-use ones.
Comfortable quiet large room Very good dinner
Decaff tea and coffee not available in bedroom. No non slip mat in shower
dinner was great- very good quality
Breakfast was not bad but we thought the sausages and bacon could have been better considering it was the middle of farm land
For £104 I would of expected breakfast to be included
Providing breakfast
Food was really nice
Verblijf was aangenaam!
Clean and comfortable. Shower was ok. Good wifi signal. Parking wasn't a problem.
Lovely hotel with wonderful staff. We felt the room fell short of what we were expecting from our last visit. It was very small but comfortable but last time our room was huge with a fabulous bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were both wonderful, so felt sad that the room let us down.
Hairdryer unusable as there were bare wires. Tea tray was old and stained. We were there 2 nights but the room wasn't serviced completely, only milk and teabags etc were topped up. We made our bed up ourselves
Lovely setting with the canal and barges. It was nice to have a picnic table outside the room to sit at. We were only here for one night which was for a wedding so we were out all day and evening. I would have liked to have spent some time exploring the canal and having a walk around. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They knew we were here for a wedding so had given us a room in the courtyard so that we would not have any problems arriving back late. We liked and appreciated this attention to detail. The man who checked us in also gave us some very helpful advice about taxi services in the area.
The courtyard rooms were nice but they were not carpeted which we didn't like. Our son and his partner had a room with a window at the front. A security light came on at about 3:00am and didn't go off. It woke them up and they struggled to get back to sleep. My husband and I had a back facing room so did not have this problem. However, the view out of the window was of a very unkempt garden full of stinging nettles which was not very nice at all. I am guessing that the rooms in the actual hotel are nicer but we needed the convenience of the courtyard rooms as we were out very late into the evening.
Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Excellent free breakfast with great choice, Full English, Eggs Benedict etc. Lechlade Cotswold location
Large bedroom, great bath, good bed, great location
Hmmmm - nothing, could do with an update
Good location Wonderful staff Great rooms for walkers and dog owners Clean Good, strong shower Owner was a lovely chap.
Breakfast on Sunday seemed that it was pre-heated from the day before. Bacon dry and tough.
Location close to river, Kelmscott Manor, Buscot. Excellent food in pub and also Wave Fish restaurant close. Comfortable Bed
Overpriced. Utilitarian annex room to pub with no good reason to justify price. No towel rail. No waters or biscuits.
It is a characterful hotel, and old coaching inn, well adapted for modern needs. Good sized car park, and a lawn that stretches down to the River Thames, and the front which faces the market square, and a short walk to the Thames path the other side of the road bridge. The food was lovely, we ate four meals there, with our friends and they all said the same. The staff were professional, quick and efficient.
The occasional airplanes do fly rather low over the town, but difficult to remedy ! I didn't like having to leave the hotel !
Best place in Cotswolds if you want Apple-crumble for breakfast...
Always a Comfortable place to stay.Friendly Staff that make you feel welcome.
Nothing we didn’t like.
Location to Marina as going off on boat trip. Our room was bigger and had separate single bed. The shower was good and bathroom facilities good. Ate in the restaurant and the food was superb.
Little boy confusing re breakfast. Prefer to be flexible but seemed like had to book and pay for a full English but you could have à la carte and pay on morning
great location on the river, parking, atmosphere
it was on the top floor and a little too warm, but I was there in a heatwave!
