Appart'hôtel Odalys City - Dijon Centre Les Cordeliers

Visiting Dijon for two days and this is where I stayed. Location is unmatched, very close to old town and within walking distance to all major attractions. The property itself is managed fairly ok, room is not the most clean and smells musty. However, at this price range, it's still a steal

Horrible customer service

I like is very well located, it was a hot day and they do not have a/c, plus no daily cleaning service.

The charm of this location is undeniable. The staff was friendly and the accommodations pleasant. One can enjoy history not only in the town but also where you rest your head for the night.

No AC.

The kitchennet is not equipped well. Basic needs such as dish soap, tea towel are only available at extra charge. No air-conditioning. It was brutal in the heat waves.

Double billed and still waiting for refund. Rooms would be improved by proper flooring and an actual coffee maker. OK towels and hot water. Excellent neighborhood .

Good location, exellent room and no problem with all facilities.

Great location

The property was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Set in a lovely building on the edge of the old town, close to restaurants, shops etc. Friendly helpful staff. No parking on site but large are to drop off and secure car park very close for €11 for 24hrs

It was not expensive. There is no room cleaning service during your stay unless you pay extra. Our first room was on the top floor which is affected by roof beams. And it was small. We were moved at no cost to a much better room. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms, and beds, and pillows should be updated, but it is not an expensive hotel. The breakfast is good, but exactly the same every day. So, overall it was a good experience.

Nice and spacious. Walkable distance to old city area. Love our stay.

Excellent building in the centre of old town

Nice place. Sketchy outside

Zentral gelegen, sehr gut für die Besichtigung der historischen Innenstadt.

Room was nice although very hot with no air conditioning. Parking was kind of a pain. It’s a nearby public parking area. Very noisy. Trucks were unloading at 4 AM and made it hard to sleep. The location is great, interesting old building in the heart of town. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet.

Great location and great staff. Loved the whole idea of it being a converted monastery. High ceilings with a kitchenette. No air conditioning but it was comfortable in July.

The property’s grounds and location are good .. very old and beautiful outside building and grounds. Parking was a pain as we have a big car and the st Anne’s parking is narrow and not really suitable for bike racks so we had to remove it and park. However pulling up and unloading was easy. The room itself was the reason it is average and the corridors are getting tatty and smell a bit. The room is a duplex so on 2 levels with a bed on a mezzanine up a very narrow and creaky set of stairs. Not suitable for all and the tv light when on standby is so bright it was annoying when sleeping. The room did smell a bit of old food which was ashame. Walking distance into Dijon was only 7 minutes and easy to navigate ..

We spent two nights at Odalys hotel les cordeliers and were very happy with our stay. The appart hotel is located in the heart of the old dijon, which made it very convenient to visit the city and go to the restaurants without tge need for a car. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The place was also pet friendly so we had no issues bringing our two dogs with us. The breakfast was very good and would fill you up for most of the day. The staff was also very nice to deal with. For the car park, i left our car for two days in the nearby private car park located 5’ walk away from the property.

Very nice place

Convenient location with nice rooms

Close to the town center easy to walk around town Hotle is harmony

It was unusual, but cool. We had a handicap room which was not ideal as it was on the street and not very quiet. However, we could see the other rooms were nice and it was great to have access to minor kitchen accoutrements. The staff was super friendly and the history made us feel like we were a part of the Dijon history.

Excellent location for walking, overall great stay

Likes…Beautiful restoration of the old monastery with nearby underground parking just 5 mins away. A beautiful old town with many places to explore. Dislikes…no air conditioning and the spare bed was basic if needed

An amazing place to stay. Dijon is full of interesting places to see

Very helpful and accommodating staff, lovely location and venue, quiet rooms, easy walking distance to city center.

Location was great, room was very hot and seemed to have been cleaned in haste. Quite expensive and we still had to take out the garbage and tidy up. Interesting, lovely old building but we will likely not stay there again.

I was very disappointed with the Odaly’s Hotel in Dijon France. My room was a standard on the second floor for 2 night June 16 to 18 2023. With no AC my room temp at midnight with the window open was 26c 78 degrees F unable to sleep!! My curtains had cigarette burns holes in them. The room only 2 pillows for the bed. My faucet where the water came out on top was rusted!!! The water flowed over the rust! There was no shelf in the shower, nowhere to put my razor shampoo on while I showered!! The TV advertised Netflix and prime video but didn’t work, the internet connection is not secure and my friends CC was hacked during our stay. The staff speak very little English but nice so every time had to ring the manager and wait. The front desk not helpful with sites to see and directions. I do not recommend Odaly’s hotel and never would stay there again. I request a credit from Hotels.Com or VIP rewards.

everything is fine, except the breakfast that be could better in terms of quality & temperature

The room was adequate but there was no servicing. Reception staff seems disinterested but the breakfast room under the much vaulted ceiling is very atmospheric

I love this hotel but room 16, 11 and 10 are in a thoroughfare and are very noisy.

Lovely hotel, full of character, and a wonderful buffet breakfast

Great location at the fringe of the old town in a former monastery. Excellent breakfast buffet, nice rooms. Decent public parking nearby.

Hotel rooms are rather flimsy modern construction with thin walls and oddly out-of-square finishes. Furniture is IKEA knock-offs badly assembled. Older parts are actually difficult to access. Great breakfast. Kid friendly, so weekends are noisy. Good locataion

Clean and safe. Good staff. Good location. Close parking cost 7 euro.

Great place! Location, price, quality, parking. Highly recommended!

Liked kitchenette and beautiful cloister with facility to sit. The property would benefit from air con.

It was a good location on the edge of Dijon in a really nicely renovated facility. The breakfast buffet was expensive for what it consisted of, so we ate out after the first morning.

Room too small with bed up stairs. Lighting in bottom part inadequate

Amazing stay in a great location. Second time I stay there and always amazed by the beauty of the building.

Great location in such a beautiful ancient monastery for a reasonable price! I recommend it if you look for a stay in the center of Dijon!

Great. Incredible value for the price

Wonderful historic restored cloister on the edge of the city centre. Useful kitchenette in room.

Beautiful old monetary converted to a high and modern standard in a fab location just 50 meters from the start of the main shopping and restaurants

It is very nice and pleasant as always

Great stay. Rooms are basically mini-apartments with fridge, freezer, stovetop and dishwasher. Only downside I can think of is the absence of air conditioning. Rooms were pristine. Service was super courteous and breakfast is worth it - especially given the setting. Location is perfect - everything in Old Dijon is within 10-15mn walk. You can park in the hotel yard just to drop your luggage and head to the nearby (next street) Sainte Anne parking for 7.5€ for 24h. Totally worth it.

While the rooms are basic I was disappointed that there were no tea, coffee etc in the room.

Hotel Closed.!! I had no notification that the hotel was closed since March. I wasn't contacted for a replacement hotel for the stay, had to go on Booking. Com after a 10 hour drive to find another hotel

Good location, cute outside of the hotel. Rooms a little basic, but comfortable. Floor is cracking/ making a lot of noises..

Lovely looking place close to the city centre. Parking was an issue for a vehicle 1.9m high as the nearest parking is underground without sufficient height. Expected a room with a mezzanine floor but ended up with. A sofa bed in the lounge, not as expected. No wellnes facilities were available due to refurbishmwnt but there was no reduction in the price. Very disappointed

Breakfast wasn’t great - only 1 staff member so replenishment of food items was slow

Les toilettes n’étaient pas fonctionnelles dans le premier appartement où j’ai été installé. Et dans le second appartement, au matin je n’ai pas eu d’eau chaude pour savourer ma douche

I stayed for three nights in a studio apartment with a loft bedroom upstairs. It was just lovely and I am happy to recommend it to others. The property is beautiful and charming and it was a pleasure to walk around the courtyard and on the stone stairs. Les Cordeliers is on the edge of the historical city area and close to all the major tourist attractions.

Property was much nicer than expected. Great room with beds upstairs in loft. Downstairs was cute dining area with table, sink, fridge, microwave, stovetop, dishes, pots, pans, coffee pot in kitchen area, bathroom, and cute living area with couch, table, and flat screen TV.

Hotel is in a great location, easy access to Old Dijon, the shops and the owl trail :) The rooms are well appointed, was surprised to find we were sleeping in a loft. Staff was not the friendliest, reception & breakfast room however the housekeeping staff were super friendly.

Fabulous and excellent value for money - breakfast was good Beautiful building, wonderful location and pet friendly

The location was perfect for walking around the Old Town and the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff were also excellent. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't take it. Would definitely stay here again if in Dijon.

The building itself - A former monestery Very noisy - we were in a room above the reception area, next to the car park. A room in the cloisters would be much quieter There is no parking at the hotel although the municipal car park was only €7.70 for 24 hours. They charge €12 per person for breakfast

Beautiful building right in the heart of it all, stayed here a few times before and always come back. The only drawback was the bed was rock hard !!

It was very nice ,but bellows should be better and airco has to be on in summer

Great location and very spacious room. There was lots of space for 2 adults and 2 kids. The building was lovely.

Fantastic stay in a centre of Dijon

Renovated clean apartment and secured paid parking lot within 3 min walkng distance. City centrt location and can access main street within walking distance. It was very good selection for my family

Beds were very uncomfortable and we did not get a good nights sleep. The breakfast was expensive for what was available and not that nice. No shelves to put anything down on so one’s always on the floor going through luggage. No tea or coffee in rooms. Although you can buy from a machine in reception. All in all “style over substance.”

Our stay was just right. We had the space, privacy and comfort we needed.

Good location and helpful staff. OK breakfast. Room was small made smaller by the sloping roof, and dark with 1 small window, not like the advertising pictures. No tea, coffee or milk in the room. Lots of plates for a room barely big enough for 2 but only 1 wine glass. First time I have seen Cuban TV available, also Russian, Chinese and Al Jazeera but no BBC or CNN or English channel.

the only complaint would be that the bed was too firm resulting in discomfort while sleeping ( and we did not see the ghost ).

Perfect location and helpful staff No parking but under ground garage that is safe just around the corner

The conversion into a hotel is top class every room has its own character would recommend this hotel to anybody visit this hotel

Stayed in D215 there are old beams on the room ceiling (very beautiful) but they are low and as I am over 1.90cm tall, had to duck down to walk around. Reception should not check tall people in this room ! You must apply a height restriction for safety reasons for guest no taller than 1.80; Wi-fi has only a very weak signal, water pressure in shower very low and not suitable for washing hair. Sofa has lots of stains and doesn’t look inviting to sit on. We arrived with a heavy suitcase and there was no lift or help to talk it up an old, uneven staircase. Otherwise nice old building with beautiful redwood tree in the court yard. No parking on site, but park garage very close. Due to above problems, I will not book again as rely on Wi-fi, shower and need to be able to walk upright.

Clean spacious apartment, friendly staff, nice breakfast.

The bed was very uncomfortable and was not changed despite a request that it be changed.

Very comfy. Only draw back was going down for breakfast 20 ins before it finished there was very little left.

Just stayed one night, very convenient location, hotel is in a stunning looking former abbey, needed air con in the room

Really need to sort out air conditioning in the rooms. One Dyson fan for three room appartment in the middle of August was hopeless. Lovely place but needs air conditioning.

As others mentioned rooms smell of mildew. Newer renovations structurally odd. Floors squeak and thus can hear all activity in rooms next door and in hallways.

Dijon great city and this central hotel is just perfect for your stay here.

A beautiful hotel with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms only a short walk from shops and cafes. Ideal for families.

We stopped over here on our way to the south of France. The check in staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English which was great as my French is sadly not! The rooms were comfortable and clean and really well equipped. Would definite stay here again.

There was no air conditioning. There were big cockroaches.

Fantastic change of use from an ancient abbey to a modern hotel. Vaulted stone ceilings in the bedrooms that we occupied around the cloisters. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed our stay.

If it wasn't for the lack of A/C this would have been a great stay - but in the height of the summer and the 35° the room became quite uncomfortable. The room was of a good size and clean. The reception staff were great and the location was good.

Tremendous location and easy drop off and park very close by. Reception staff were magic helping choose onward route, couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast good. Really recommend it and will be back.

Genuinely very beautiful place, very clean and very central. However, in the summer when it's hot, it's impossible to sleep here in the mezzanine - it would have been cooler to sleep in a sauna! The air conditioning only circulates on the ground floor, hence my kids who slept on the sofa bed were fine, but my wife and I didn't sleep at all, genuinely horrendous night unfortunately.

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous place in a wonderful town. The grounds were lovely to walk around. room was nice a modern except there was no air con or ceiling fan, so a little hot but still a great stay and would come again.

It is a historic building, beautiful!! New charm in suites, silence everywhere, very nice staff

Spacious room very comfortable and very clean. A nice place to stay in a historical site

Would stay here again. Great room with view of courtyard. I don't believe they have air conditioning so ask before you book windows do open and was effective. NO PARKING, you will have to drive down the street to St. Anne and park there in underground lot. Will cost you around $8 I believe.

Stop over on our way to Frejus. Excellent loacation to stop over in after such a long journey from England. Fantastic building. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Wonderful bakery just around the corner.

This is a beautifully and sympathetically restored former monastery and very well located for exploring Dijon. The ambiance is friendly and peaceful and the staff are very helpful. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable and the Turkish Bath was a real bonus. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Dijon. Highly recommended!

Easy check in. The staff could practice smiling. Rooms were ready as we were 1/2 hour early. Stayed here in May while the weather was warm. No AC and it doesn’t look like it is available. Opened the windows, but court yard noise and late checkin’s noise comes right in the windows. My wife loved the fact there was a makeup mirror.

We had an excellent stay, the hotel is beautiful, close to the city center of Dijon and the room was clean and confortable with very good kitchen facilities. The staff was helpful and recomended us good restaurants and places to visit.

Thus is situated in easy walk to centre where shops and restaurants. Perfect overnight stop. Please note stairs to negotiate. Not all rooms accessible via lifts

Great spot for a hotel with parking only 10 mins walk away. Room comfortable and well maintained.

Lovely building beautifully adapted as apartments and good location

We got the last room. It was a handicapped room, but that was not advertised on the website and given the ages of our children, it was very difficult. Also, there was a filthy mug, a moldy sponge, a burned out light bulb, a dirty bathroom floor (as in needed a deep clean) and other disappointments. Just not what we were hoping for in such a beautifully restored abbey.

Nice stay in comfortable spacious room. Would be great for long term stay but also functioned well as a regular Hotel. Easily walkable to downtown and nearby grocery. Lovely town.

Beautiful hotel that offers two room appartments in a heritage building. Clean, comfortable and bright rooms with all the services. Location is central, parking on nearby streets is free on weekends. Hotel has a nice shamam to relax. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great value for money.
