The room above me seemed to have a herd of elephants in it , they were clog dancing until quite late , so it was difficult to sleep, I guess this is due to lack of insulation between the floors .

Immaculate room.and very comfy bed. Cheerful breakfast service and decent choice. Really gooid plain yogurt to go with muesli and delighted to have cooked choice of Eggs royal or benenedict as well as normal cooked. 5 mins from M6 junction so very convenient spot. Would happily use again if accommodation needed in that area

Waited an hour for our meal after ordering. Manager very apologetic, gave us a complimentary drink but it was nearly 8.45 before food came. Major issues on staffing in kitchen. Food was good when it came although some of extras paid for did not arrive.

Charging facilities at a reasonable cost

The room was run down and quite shabby. Felt like the whole place needed a revamp. It wasn’t what we were sold from the images.

The hotel overall is excellent, the rooms very clean and really comfortable beds. Its has loads of character.

The staff were ok, a littler miserable at times, the service is resturant wasn't very good. lots of itesm on the menu were either sold out or they only had i.e 2 duck starters when 3 ducks were ordered, no prawns and 2 out of the 3 chickens meals were not available. Desserts were ordered with the main order (8 people in total), then we were asked again if we wanted desserts explained we had already ordered them, and then had to wait another 35 minutes for them. If they had said that they had a limited menu and that the kitchen was closing at 8pm they would have got a better rating.

Locatie was prima voor ons doel, groot bed en fijne badkamer. Ontbijt hier is ook een aanrader.

Simple, typique, joliment décoré, bon restaurant avec un très bon petit dejeuner. Établissement dog friendly. Nous avons pu prendre nos repas avec notre chien, dans un espace bar prévu à cet effet.

No air con in room. Couldn’t sleep at night as too hot in room. No atmosphere. Beer poor limited choice of JW Lee beer. Guinness was OFF. Evening food poor. Only had it there once. Breakfast was good.

Location was great for our trip. Room was good although hot with very hot temperatures outside. Breakfast very good, although only ate two days and paid for three as breakfast didn't start until 08.00 on Saturday which was too late for us. Dinner was average to good, ate 3 times. Dishes varied in quality depending on what you had. (annoying to be charged £1.50 for a slice of bread and butter to go with the Fish Pie, which comes as standard with brown and my wife cannot eat brown bread!!!!) Staff were good, but a little inflexible on their approach overall, if you wanted anything slightly outside the rules.

Booked a twin room and ended up on a sofa bed which was horrendously uncomfortable . This was the second time a twin was booked and not available

The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the food was very good, the staff were very friendly, the room was clean, the coffee making items were replenished.

Staff always really friendly. Good quality food with plenty of variety with the evening meal and an excellent breakfast.

There are certain rooms where you can hear road noise. As a light sleeper I try and avoid these where I can.

We travelled up from West Sussex and the hotel was amazing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, dinner was excellent and the breakfast was fabulous. We would definitely come back again and have recommended it to our family who live in Preston.

WiFi in bedroom wasn’t at all good. Overall nice hotel, but rooms looked tired and grubby. Could do with a refresh. Bathrooms especially, mould in shower and around skirting. Dim lights in rooms, gave the room an overall gloomy feel.

Bathroom needed attention, broken taps and black mould around the bath

Very good breakfast with good selection of foods. Dinner on previous evening was very good but more importantly staff were excellent and most accomodating. We were running late and restaurant was due to close . We called in advance and were able to place order over the phone and staff were very pleasant serving evening meal when we arrived.

Bedside table and lamp hadn't been dusted....minor point! Notices in room regarding not cosuming any personal food were somewhat unwelcoming and although I fully appreciate reasons for this, such notices could have been more subtle. Noise on the evening both outside and in the corridor was disturbing. We could hear snoring from room next door.We had a ground floor room and were awoken by 2 men (about 12.30am)outside at our open window asking if anyone was in the room! To be fair I think they were a little merry and they apologised once we answered but this could have been worrying for perhaps a single traveller. Despite the above comments the hotel was good overall and I would definitely recommend it to other travellers

Rooms were a bit tired in places and areas of cleanliness could have been better (inner curtains and shower sealant in particular. Very thin pillows which did impact sleep.

I liked the atmosphere when walking in. The decor was homely. The staff were very attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent and very good value for money. Overall, my experience here was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Location was good for what we required

The room needed cleaning properly, the window was filthy The shower silicone was black mouldy and needed re doing .

This was our second stay at Bluebird Inn. We drive up to scotland from london often and need somewhere to stay for a night to break up the journey. The Bluebird is perfect as it isn’t a grim service station hotel, you actually feel like you’re having a mini holiday. The staff are always so lovely. The pub is great and the restaurant is excellent. Cannot fault it. Rooms are clean and modern whilst keeping a cute country vibe

Accommodation is clean and comfortable for a stay of 2 nights. Food was good, staff attentive.

Being a little picky, the bathroom didn't have an extractor so steamed up a lot, a touch of mold in the bathroom here and there. We had a decent, family room on the ground floor, if you have a room above you, you can hear guests through the ceilings. Food service was quick, good standard, rather than exceptional.

Bar closed at 10pm on the friday night . We got back from a birthday celebration at 9:58 and wasn't able to buy any drink then to take to the room as the tills were off. Could get even if they rung them through the till the following morning. Not good when the hospitality industry is crying wolf all the time. The rest of the stay was fabulously brilliant fresh cooked breakfast.

The Room. The decor was tasteful, and the bed comfortable. It was quite peaceful, with not much road noise.

The Bluebird is a good place to stay, welcoming pub area and dining. The rooms were a decent size with a good choice of tea, coffee etc, beds were comfortable. Food was fabulous in the evening and breakfast provided quality ingredients and choice.

My only criticism of the bathroom in the room was the sealant around the shower needed replacing. The quality of the tea in the rooms was a good quality tea but at breakfast the tea tasted like a cheap tea bag, small criticism.
