Outdoor seating for bar and restaurant with good umbrellas
Room far too hot with no active ventilation. Windows open onto very noisy road. Poor internal sound ventilation. Leaking hot tap. Shower head rail coming off wall. Hole in carpet beneath clothes rack. Flies on food in restaurant. Sticky tables after wiping. Cutlery unclean. Breakfast sausages burnt on one side and white on all others. Toast brown on one side and white on the other. Staff generally seem resigned and helpless when concern expressed. (And you DEFINITELY need better beers ... no bitter?!)
The food and the restaurant were very good
The room was dirty. No tea or coffee was left in the room went to reception to get some and was only given two tea bags no milk or sugar
The furniture is dated, it requires deep cleaning and d complete refurbishment
Everything seemed fine
Nothing really to dislike
It’s was clean and welcoming

The staff were very pleasant. The restaurant food was very good.
Our bathroom was not clean. There was loud music beneath our room on both nights of our visit
Good location and friendly staff
The decor needs some updating
We stayed here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and we left wanting to look into booking our wedding there. The bridal room which was room 1 was amazing, cleaned well and the bathtub and bed were fantastic. The food in the Windmill Farm was decent, not Michelin Star but very good value for money and was tasty. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there and were perfectly happy with both of them.
Some plug sockets on both sides of the bed would have been good, but this is really a tiny thing to complain about!
Room beds were comfortable breakfast value for money staff very friendly and helpful
Some of the walls might need to be repainted
It was a lovely relaxing venue. Overlooked a busy road, but saw lots of rabbits, a squirrel and a deer from the window.
A bit short on towels, but both a major issue.
Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast and handy restaurant - everything we remembered.
Friendly staff

It was convenient location for our trip and had onsite restaurant. Bed was comfortable
Room had broken chain on door and no plug in the sink so gave us another room. This had door chain & sink plug but sink very low & badly fitted sliding door, presumably disabled room. Was only staying one night so accepted it.Wedding downstairs noisy& guests outside, couldn't close window, stains on carpet.Whole place needs refurbishing.
Friendly staff nice large bed in room which was very comfortable, extra pillows too. Bathroom was exceptionally clean, towels all soft and white.
Very dated needs a makeover. Paintwork, carpets and some furniture needs a freshen up.
Nice location and good restaurant
I was very disappointed on our stay on Saturday. There was a wedding there and the music finished at 11:50 which was great. The disappointed bit that the staff started clearing up and moving the tables and chairs until 4:30 in the morning which resulted that we couldn't sleep at all as our room was in top of the venue..it was so bad because of the noise.
Had their roast dinner carvery on 2 occassions both excellent all staff happy to help you with anything lady in reception is a credit to her company wish all hotels were like this . Travelled alot in Uk and it was a sincere pleasure to stay here shower was excellent bed very comfy the main things !
The window only allowed to open about 9 inches their were wooden blocks put in place , this needs to be addressed as it was very hot weather . I understand the safety factor but only 1 floor up - perhaps children are designated special rooms with these blocks in place and all adults have no blocks on their windows ? Im full of ideas :)
Breakfast nice.
Rooms very dated and too warm.
Location and the staff
The fact that there was a wedding on and loud till late with no pre warning of a wedding happening
Convenient and well placed for our plans. Clean and comfortable
No problems
Friendly staff eager to please and help you

Big wedding venue very noisy into early hours
Staff v friendly. Pillows and bed excellent
Room decor tired. Minor repairs needed in bathroom and window. Road v noisy.
Convenient Breakfast buffet was very good
Rooms were a bit tired and could do with redecorating - but for the one night and for the price it was fine.
Location was convenient
I’m happy to stay with basic facilities but the bedroom was disappointing, mouldy silicone on the bath edge, damaged carpet, leaking shower, and poor incomplete decor, expected more for £115 per night for 1 person.
Great location
Curtains fell off rail kettle bigger than sink no internal deadbolt on lock. No chain on lock inside. Fan in room louder than a jumbo jet
I liked the breakfast nice room
It ticked the boxes
Nothing
Convenient and friendly
Very difficult to find. Property is in Runcorn Road not Whisby Road. Hotel website and Booking.com info need correction. Rooms not well ventilated and extremely noisy if windows opened.
Chilled environment, friendly staff.
Everything was good!
Avocado and eggs very good. Eggs benedict on sourdough bread which was too hard and thick. Would have been better on a muffin.
Covenience
Whilst the Windmill can do anything about this summers heat and they kept curtains closed to try and keep the heat out a small fan with small window and sun hitting in the morning the hotel does need to think about better airflow systems and air conditioning
Perfect location and the restaurant below is great value and good quality
.
Was good value
Busy breakfast morning after. Should really have allocated tables for hotel guests. Missed breakfast as couldn't get seated
Location is very good staff pleasant and helpful
Breakfast was a disaster. Not enough staff everything ran out and we waited ages just for everything to be replenished. That you got stuck at each station. There wasn't even enough hot water for tea or coffee. And the bread was still frozen in the middle.
Breakfast nice & location excellent

Tired rooms. Smell in reception. Breakfast not very good. Dirty plates, mugs, cutlery m
Good value.Food excellent value.
The bedrooms need a little upgrading. The place looked tired. The bathroom needs the grouting renewed, off putting.
The bathroom was clean Bedding clean
Carpets stained especially around skirting by window Dark room Could do with a lick of fresh paint on the walls Stains on wall
No issues with parking Easy access to the hotel, bar etc
Our room was very dated with threadbare carpet in places. The bath was that thin under foot it felt like it was going to fall through as you could feel it flex under foot. There was also a wedding reception downstairs and all you could hear was booming music luckily this stopped at 12. Positive the staff were accommodating
Breakfast fine staff very friendly
The price of breakfast is cheap/very reasonable and attracts a lot of local families because of this. It was extremely busy at times and very noisy. The facilities/dining area is extremely dated if not worn and in places dirty.
Whole place generally is on the verge of a major renovation/refurbishment
Big room, v comfy, good shower. Good value
A little bit tired in places, was woken up by next door room getting back from their night out.
Bedroom was bigger than expected Staff were nice
Advertised as Lincoln when it is in fact Hykeham
Good location
Curtain hanging off in room. Flies in restaurant.
Breakfast cold
How friendly all the staff were in the hotel reception and the pub
A little tired
Got a free room upgrade Carvery was amazing
No orange juice at breakfast
Staff were very helpful
Cutlery not clean
Staff were very helpful polite the food was very good room comfortable would recommend
Bit noisy at night when they have wedding party but didn't ruin our stay
Been here before & like the access to the pub.Nice big comfy bed & large TV.
Could do with more pillows & possibly refurbished all round but value for money.
Food and room
Nothing was wrong
No clean
No good staf
Enjoyed the food and staff lovely
No comfy seats to rest in after food and a few children running around.
Property not bad
Promised they had soya milk on arrival, the wife is dairy free so was pleased. However 8 days later still no sign of soya milk so she had to go the week there at breakfast without a drink.
Breakfast very good for the price staff very helpful when asked for things
Not to do better but think whole place could do with a revamp as parts of it looking old
Both nights Friday and Saturday there was an event on until midnight which I haven’t been informed when booked. It was very loud and impossible to sleep. If you booking to put your head down, don’t bother booking it! You won’t get any rest
Very convenient for my journey
The food for breakfast was luke warm
Reasonably priced. Restaurant available for meals. Staff friendly.
Was only informed by email 10th April at 17.30 - before our stay 11th-12th April that there would be noise from a function - as all rooms are located on 1st floor - it was extremely noisy from our arrival 5.30pm till midnight. We were annoyed because you have to prepay & couldn't cancel for free with Booking.com as they only offer this up 23.59hrs 9th April. As the function was a wedding the hotel should have emailed us at point of booking as they must have known months in advance. We complained about this to reception the following morning but were told it was mentioned in booking.com t&c's - I could not find this only reviews from other unhappy visitors regarding the noise. Reception informed us we could have cancelled with them directly up till midnight 10th April but this wasn't written anywhere I could find. On reflection I wish I had asked the hotel if there was a function on the date of our stay before I booked or responded to their email due to late notice to see if I could cancel with them directly. Very dissatisfied with transparency & communication.
The breakfast was nice- although it had no veggie sausages as part of the buffet as outlined in the menu.
Although there’s a disclaimer stating that all rooms are above the function room and might therefore be a bit loud if a function is on, there was no courtesy email letting us know there was a function booked for our stay until the cut off date for cancellation had passed- we would have cancelled otherwise! The music from the function room started at 1700 and was consistently loud and banging until midnight- there was no respite. You couldn’t sleep during this time. The tables in the pub were very close together- definitely just an ‘eat and go’ destination. Breakfast was good and staff were polite and friendly. Although menu stated there was a veggie sausage option at the breakfast buffet, there were no veggie sausages on display? Did we have to order them? This wasn’t clear. Not good for vegetarians or vegans.
The food was good and met my gluten free requirements. The room was pleasant and there was a lift.
Nothing springs to mind
The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the ambience of the place. I felt my gf dietary needs were well catered for. The receptionist was brilliant and rang me to let me know i had left something behind, which I was extremely thankful for.
Unfortunately we couldn't have out first choice for meals as it had been a busy Bank Holiday. Also, although there was a great choice for breakfast the food wasn't very hot.
Comfortable bed and room was a comfortable temp. Spacious bathroom, windows overlooked rabbits playing on the field. Free parking and plenty of it. Lift was available. Clean towels. Its ok for a very basic stopover if you have no alternative option but absolutely wouldn't recommend for wedding guests. TV in bedroom although very small and high up which made for awkward viewing.
Curtains were falling off the rails so couldn't shut them properly. Bathroom sliding door was too short in width - when sliding to the left to close and lock it, it left a gap on the right hand side of the door which meant anyone walking into the room could see straight through into the bathroom. Bath was very small despite the bathroom being spacious, couldn't lay down in it comfortably and I'm 5ft 4. Small shower head. Bed seemed clean and it was comfortable however on returning home I saw i had a line of bed bug bites on my arm which has completely put me off. Didn't use tea making facilities as didn't feel I could trust that these were clean. Could easily hear other guests walking through the hallways. The whole room could do with modernisation.
Gute Anbindung für unsere weiterfahrt
....
Ruime kamer Goed restaurant Lief personeel
Very easy to get to the city from here.
Key cards to rooms were faulty. Had to get staff a few times to get them fixed.
