A special thank you to Collette and her staff for a fantastic stay. The breakfast was superb , like wise all the meals.

Collette the landlady was very nice, Brad was amazing he didn't stop. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The evening meal of lambsank was cooked to perfection and the meat fell off the bone.

Rooms needed a little tlc, but after speaking to Collette and hearing that she is leaving at the end of October I can understand why.

Service was excellent and breakfast very satisfying.

The full english breakfast was very good. The room was a good size and looking out to the sea. The location was good as it was at the quieter side of Minehead, away from Butlins but close to all amenties.

Room was lovely, clean and comfortable and had views of the sea. Breakfast was delicious and the guy that served in the restaurant was so funny and friendly!

Breakfast could have been a little more generous, but it wasn't really a problem cos it was delicious anyway.

The location was perfect,we had parking right outside The Quay Inn for us over 3 days,the breakfast offered was wholesome,good quality.Our room was simple,and basic,the bed was comfortable our room(7) overlooked front beach area, nice outlook.

Two flights of steep stairs, not easy,my husbands initial meeting with the owner ,Collette was blunt, not friendly to greet a customer.(I’d read reviews but kept an open mind)our room number 7 at front of house at first seemed pleasant, we found it had’nt been dusted for long time, the window was soo dirty,I cleaned and polished the kettle as it was sticky, the mirrors in both rooms,dirty,all ledges around our room, covered in dust, also the tray that housed cups:glasses/teas/coffee’s, not cleaned for ever?yes Collette had won ‘4in bed’competition once upon a time but zest for her paying customers was long gone,why???

It was a pub. Isn’t that every man’s dream ?! Spacious room.

Only real moan was that my mattress was a little too soft for my preference, but still had a good nights sleep.

The owner of the establishment was not helpful at all.she was very rude,unhelpful,argumentative,would not listen to any apology or explanation very slow to get in touch or answer a request.

I mostly enjoyed reading the ding-dongs between negative reviewers and Colette the landlady, and then meeting her. She's great - as is Becks who was behind the bar. It's a down to earth and forthright honest place - just as I like it. Lovely sea view room, decent food, friendly bar, great location

The bed could have been a bit more comfortable but no big deal.

We got a room on the sea front, it was spacious and had all pieces of furniture to make it comfortable. We also liked how friendly was the young person who checked us in and served us drinks.

We went to have breakfast and the person who took our orders was incredibly rude. I was quite shocked by the lack of customer service we received. We were in Minehead for an important family issue and it really upset me how rudely we were treated. There also was cobwebs and the place needs some TLC, as the door handle on the landing was coming off. It's a shame as the breakfast that my partner had (ending up eating mine too) was tasty, but we decided to miss the opportunity to interact with the owner again (I would have spoken with the manager to say that person shouldn't be front of house staff, if it wasn't the owner, as we found out when we looked online).

From the time we arrived to the time that we left everyone was welcoming and very helpful, both staff and regulars were friendly and welcoming. The choice of breakfast was plentiful and well presented, the full English tasted great. Overall, great welcome and a great place to stay.

Only thing I can think of is that I could have done with another pillow but as I didn't ask for one I can hardly count this as a negative comment.

We were allowed to check in early.

The bed, mattress was very thin so was lying in the wooden bed frame. The noise from outside at night below right outside the pub entrance and breakfast only served from 08:30 in the morning so was too late to wait.

Nice 'no frills' but perfectly fine accommodation (as expected). Nice location near harbour and get a sea view. Very good value for money.

Our second time at the Quay Inn,we love it here. The staff are very nice and it’s a comfortable,warm and inviting place to stay. Collette cooks a wonderful breakfast too! We will be coming back asap.

The most unwelcomeing I have ever experienced. Dirty, horrible attitude host. Down right nasty landlady. Look at the Minehead. friends website. The locals complain that her establishment is embarrassing. What ever you do , do not stay here. There was nothing at all to like about the quay, the best bit is when you leave or in my case get looked out. Booking . Com should take a serious look on advertising.

Music playing underneath our room so loud we had no chance of even hearing the TV never mind getting to sleep with a 7 year old.

It was a truly great value stay. The rooms are simple and clean and the breakfast huge. For 60 a night it passed our expectations.

The owner’s behaviour in particular which was marked by rudeness and the use of offensive, derogatory remarks — particularly directed towards our little French Bulldog, a defenceless animal. Such behaviour is entirely unprofessional, deeply disrespectful, and wholly inappropriate in any customer-facing setting. The venue itself, including our allocated room, was in a poor state of repair, with a pervasive unpleasant odour and an entirely unacceptable standard of cleanliness. These conditions fell far below any reasonable standard one should expect. When I attempted to raise these issues directly, the owner responded with complete disregard, displaying neither a willingness to resolve the matter nor any acceptance of responsibility. Instead, I was met with a hostile and rude demand to leave the property immediately. This level of conduct, both in terms of behaviour and property condition, is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. I trust that this matter will be investigated promptly by the appropriate authority, and that robust measures will be implemented to ensure no other guests are subjected to such treatment in the future.

The barmaid was fabulous very warm friendly and helpful . The chef was fantastic made excellent food and communicated well. The owner of the hotel was most unfriendly and lacked people skills and not supportive . The hotel was basic and very run down and not worth $ 210 Adult per night .

Thank you, our room was spotless. We had a very comfortable night sleep and thought breakfast was delicious. Staff were accommodating and friendly.

Even though it was Christmas Day, Collette was happy to check us in early am. Fab sea view, clean room with good facilities and storage. Breakfast was excellent and included in the price. Our dog was welcomed and we didn’t have to sit like outcasts in another area. All the Team were friendly and super helpful. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much and will be going back soon.

Fantastic location, large room, clean and comfortable bed. Really good well cooked breakfast and nice friendly helpful staff.

The room was large and the shower was good but the room could do with a bit of an update and not be quite so basic but again for our one night stay it was perfect.

Breakfast was served in good time,sausages were a littler under cooked,location was perfect for our needs.

One side of the bed was bad ,every time you moved the springs was very noisy.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Food for dinner and breakfast was beautiful, very filling, fresh and tasty. Room was a good size with sea front view and good amenities. Also free parking was provided. We've booked again for next year.

There's no lift so we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs but the staff helped us with our cases so no big issue.

The staff was lovely and extremely helpful the food was amazing as well.

The loud music til extremely late gone 12 when the lovely young lady said that the bar closes at 10pm. we was then kept awake by people talking and loud music. Also our toilet seat was very loose and could not find anyone didn't want to ask the bar to fix it felt like I was going to fall off
