The photos online were a bit deceiving. It appears to be mixed with photos of a nicer property. This one definitely needs a deep clean.

There was no breakfast

Check in we were not aware that we couldn’t check in until 4 pm and arrived at 2 am. The parking was horrible!

What you see on the internet is not what you see in real life. It was supposed to be a beachfront room, instead we were put across the street. The A/C didn’t work well. I went to the front desk, I asked to be moved to a better location. What I was told was that the beachfront section was reserved for weekend stays. I spent over a thousand dollars to stay 8 nights, and I was given a back seat so someone who was going spend a couple of nights can get priority. I asked them to at least fix the Air Conditioning. They sent a young man over, who came in and looked at the air conditioning and then looked at us and said “this is all you get”. The room was hot. And again, I spent over $1000 to be put in a subpar room and told, this all you get. And then, the front desk had the audacity to blame it on us. Still haven’t gotten my money back.

The location was excellent, steps from the beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A very short drive to all attractions.

I like it because it was right on the beach, we have stayed there for the last 6 years, we loved it!

Will my husband and I love it there but the last time we stayed there it’s not the same with the new owners! Our toilet was disgusting the dresser drawers we couldn’t hardly get our clothes in or out of it and your security is very rude. The place just run downhill since the new orders have taken over.!

One of the Elevators not working again second year in a row. Carpet in room is dirty. Snack bar wasn’t open the whole 7 days we was there. Had to ask for toilet paper twice. And didn’t take cash at tiki bar or desk all credit cards or debit cards.

The pool being open 24 hrs was amazing. Short walk to the beach. Elevators were easy accessible and quick to service.

Not enough parking space.

It was across the street from the beach, which was nice having a toddler. They had two pools and was in a good location.

All the staff were very friendly.

There was a lady on the 3rd Shift(Overnight Staff) that's was Very Helpful and Aplogenic. The Manager Was Standing there Hearing Me Voice My Issues with The Front Desk Lady. It Wasn't Until I Asked to Speak To A Manager. That She Turned And Pointed as He Held Up his Finger and said He's the Manager. I Won't Recommend This Hotel to Anyone. I'll be back in Panama City Next Week. I Won't Stay There.

The pool, the beach access, the fact that the property is a bit away from the hustle and bustle - meaning the beach is not crowded. But also only a quick drive to all the hustle and bustle, when you want it. lol overall a great stay!

I booked beach front and got a cheap room across the street behind the main motel . And a severe storms came and the hotel locked the closest door to cover and safety leaving several people to run totally around the hotel for safety, no hair dryers in rooms. And parking was hit and miss.

Good parking lot close to the sea. Full kitchen available within room. Great reception desk staff. Good location. Nice swimming pool.

At first, they rent you a room with no beach front view, but it is actually on another building across the street (probably another hotel that was purchased by them), not the one they present on the picture. Small bathroom, short toilet (probably appropriate for kids). There is no ramp to get to the beach, if you are bringing your cart with your stuff, you have to carry them. No ice machine.

Location, pool and room and parking was nice.

A little worn and drab room on the north side or non beach side. People smoking cigarettes on the steps leading up to my room more than once and leaving butts in a cup on the steps .

Nothing we didn’t like

The staff were very helpful. The ocean view from the balcony was spectacular. The rooms while a bit outdated, were clean. The pool was very clean as well. I liked that they had beach supplies like floats, slides, sunscreen as well as snacks available in the lobby at prices cheaper than the nearby CVS. They also have a Tiki bar by the pool and a snack bar in the lobby for your convenience. Short drive to Pier Park and walking distance to McGuires Irish Pub and Jeremiah's Italian Ice and Beach Cow Cremery as well as the aforementioned CVS.

Only one elevator working but there was seldom a long wait. Property is a bit older and well traveled compared to new resorts so don't expect a 4 or 5 star experience. Its a 2 star no frills hotel right on the beach at a value price. If you are there to enjoy the beach, ocean and pool you will be more than satisfied with your viait.

Upon check-in we went to the room and the elevator was nasty, the other elevator was not in operation, the door to our room had stuff splattered on it. Kitchen had dirty dishes and mold was around the top of the room. Leading out to balcony the whole door was rusted. Room smelled terrible. Whole experience was nasty and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Manager was very rude and wouldn't go check the room so that I could show her. Missing buttons on electric outlet in bathroom. Employees cleaning room looked like they just pulled them off the street.

If this one room was this disgusting I would hate to see what the other room looks like. Plus there wasn't enough parking and were told we first come first serve everyone else parks across street down the road next to a bar. Didn't feel comfortable leaving my car that far away.

The location was great. The room was a double queen with a full kitchen and living room. It had a large and spacious balcony with a wonderful view. The pool area was very nice as well.

The parking was slim picking on site so we had to park across the street which wasn't too bad.

The king mattress was wore out sagging in the middle. Very uncomfortable to sleep in. The carpet in the room needs to go. Very old and dirty. So keep your flip flops on!

Maintenance was quick to respond and fixed the lights and TV that wor not working.

The hotel is not kept up. Dirty and not kept in good condition. Worn and dated. Amenities were non existent. Not even basics like an ice machine and soap in the room. Very disappointed and a poor value for the money.

Bed was comfortable and the pool area was nice.

Hair on the beds when we arrived. Toilet wasn't bolted down properly and looked like attempt was made to repair with caulking. Could hear everything from neighbors through walls.

ROOMS WERE DIRTY ,BED WAS HORRIBLE,HAD MOLD GROWING HEAVILY IN THE KITCHEN WINDOW,THE STOVE WAS HORRIBLE IT WAS TEATERING AND ALL THE BURNERS HAD A LEAN TO THEM SO YOU COULDNT COOK FOOD EVENLY IT JUST DIDNT WORK. THE BATHROOM WAS DIRTY AND SOME MOLD WITH CRACK ON BOTTOM WALL AND YOU COULDNT FIT IN THE BATHROOM TOILLETE AND CLOSE THE DOOR YOU HAD TO GET IN BATH STEP IN SHOWER TO CLOSE THE DOOR TO SIT ON THE TOILLETE.THEY HAVE A HUNDRED DOLLAR FEE IF YOU LEAVE OR CANCELL THE ROOM AND AT THE TIME THERE WERE NO RESERVATIONS OPEN ANY WHERE ELSE CLOSE FOR THE TIME OF OUR STAY(JULY-AUGUST)

No son honestos con la publicidad que realizan en Booking (y a Booking parece no importarles). NUNCA MUESTRAN CLARAMENTE que el hotel tiene dos partes. La mayoría de las fotos están concetradas en los departamentos que dan a la playa, pero un gran porcentaje de las habitaciones están ubicadas cruzando la calle (lo cual además no tiene un puente peatonal, peligroso para cruzar con chicos). Las instalaciones de ese lugar son antiguas y descuidadas, con aspecto a motel (lo cual no condice con la publicidad que promocionan en la página). Si eso estuviera claro desde el primer momento de hacer la reservas (NO LUEGO O CUANDO ESTAS EN LUGAR HACIENDO EL CHECK IN) la calificación sería diferente, o en verdad no habría ninguna porque no lo habría reservado. Nos quedamos en el lugar y aceptamos lo que nos dieron porque no iba a empañar las vacaciones familiares y no daban los tiempos para buscar otro lugar. ESPERO LOS FUTUROS CLIENTES LEAN ESTE COMENTARIO A TIEMPO DE RESERVAR ESTE LUGAR, con antelación y claridad, no con publicidad engañosa.

Room was moldy smelling, bathroom was not so clean. Ceiling looks like there is mold starting to grow on it several black spots on ceiling. Apparently there was a/c issues so we slept with a loud fan that made the night rough the carpet was also wet probably part of the smell. Beds were not the most comfortable. The positive was larger than normal refrig/freezer and a small 4top table

The property was near a few places you can walk to. I wish they would have mentioned that there are TWO buildings. One across the street and one near the sand.

They don’t mention two buildings. They assume one knows. They didn’t clean out rooms at all. Overall we would not recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at your property as well as the super helpful staff especially the manager who went out of his way to come outside and show us exactly where we could park as the labeling of the parking areas were not clear. Also, I would recommend offering a hair dryer, ironing board, and iron for each room. Most resorts and hotels have the readily available and I was surprised to see that they were not included in the room. I did ask for a hair dryer as I normally do not travel with one. We would recommend Palmetto to friends and family as would stay again if we travel to Panama City Beach area.

I tried several times to log on to my laptop said internet not available.

People are nice and kind. Pool area is amazing. Pool towels available helps a lot with kids and limited space to dry clothes. Very good beachfront. Free parking.

Beds and pillows extremely uncomfortable. If you stay in the other side with city view you keep the curtains closed so people can’t see through your whole room. Could be fixed with another set of thin curtains so we could also enjoy sun light in the room with some privacy. No gym, no breakfast. So for what I paid and compared to my other bookings, seems too expensive for what it offers.

The hotel manager was very rude. They didn’t have enough staff to check us in (45 min). We had to make two separate trips to the office to get a parking pass and another for soap!

One of the elevators was down, a lot of updates are needed, rust on doors and frames and broken area around pool. Beds are very uncomfortable. There was also a snake in the indoor pool that my son and his friend removed.

The hotel was not clean, the bathroom smelled of urine upon arrival and throughout our stay. I assume this was coming from the grout. The shower curtain was falling down and the floors were dirty and full of sand, the carpet was dirty. The beach service with the chairs were horrible we rented chairs upon arrival for the week and someone was at our chairs daily we had to sit in the different chairs on several days. The biggest disappointment with the rented beach chairs was that we were placed behind multiple large family tents daily from other families and they were not asked to move those tents. But went you look up and down the beach no other beach service allowed tents to set up in front of their chairs.

There were roaches. ROACHES... I called at 1am to report having to keep killing them. They informed me that there were no rooms to move me and my daughter to and they would speak with management tomorrow. So we had to sleep with the roaches and the LIGHTS TURNED ON THE KEEP THEM AT BAY. HORRIFYING. There were no comps nor attempt to remedy the situation except they said they came into our room while we were gone the next morning and sprayed. Which means our clothes, the linens, etc now had roach spray on them. It was such a great location and the pool area was okay. But the ROACHES....

The elevator was broke for our whole visit causing long waits and a waste of time, their 3 carts were nonexistent when we arrived and never saw them till the following day- housekeeping could have retrieved them from the rooms but did not. Also there were no Do Not Disturb signs and we said we did not want anyone to come into our room, yet every day they did 👎🏼

The staff was wonderful with giving us all the information about the hotel, and they also went above and beyond to help us when we had questions. The room and bathroom were clean and had much room. I also like how accessible the beach, pools, and hot tub was from the hotel.

The parking lot system needs improvement. The parking lot is a pay-to-park so there were times that I couldn't park my car because people who weren't staying at the hotel were filling the parking spaces, and we had to park in the overflow parking and walk to our hotel room, which is not safe.

Friendly staff, Richard was great! Loved the layout of the hotel and that pool and ice cream was offered late hours! Would come back!

Well we didnt get a welcome kit with soap or shampoo or anything we had to ask for the book and stuff that cam with the room like everyone else we seen get that stuff and then it took the poor maintenance guy a hour and a half to get our card to work for our door so we didnt get to do anything that day then the next door neighbor had a baby screaming all night hitting the door it was just quite a experience hopefully next time or if we give it a next time it will be better

Advertisement highlights the new hotel on the beach. Not the 1960's one across the street. Old, run down.

I stayed at the older hotel across the street. It was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy. Next time I would like to stay at the tall hotel the one that is on the beach.

It was OK. Nothing I’d write home about. But it was clean and comfortable. I thought I would be staying in the taller hotel the one right on the beach. I didn’t realize I would be across the street at the older hotel so that was kind of disappointing.

Dated hotel, we did not get new towels during the stay. I understand the hotel was fully booked but at least that I expected.

Smelled like weed and made my daughter sick. Couldn't stay even a couple of hours won't see my money back pictures were very misleading was definitely not what I thought I was booking.

Urine smell and urine on floor, mold on bathroom walls and chairs at pool, aluminum foil on oven burners, no shampoo, conditioner, soap or hair dryer in room, holes in the dresser, plastic Walmart chairs on patio and rust on the door of our balcony. Way too expensive to have all of this and parking is across the street. Never again.

The beach

Definitely not a resort. Do not let the name fool you. Room was not the best, tv is tiny, beds were decent, bathroom is tiny and the lighting was awful. No outlets to charge phones except for 1. Wasn’t given the wifi password. Only 1 washer and it didn’t even really wash the clothes, barely wet when I took them out and we were there for a softball tournament and my daughter needed her softball stuff washed. Staff wasn’t very friendly and we wanted ice cream, the lady said she’d come help us and she never came over.

Easy beach access, pool never closes and you can bring drinks/food to the pool area.

1 Elevator wasn't working

Make sure to check whether or not your room will have a view before booking. Rooms are close to $150+ a night and if you book a room on the "north side" you will have to walk across a main busy street to get to the main building/beach access. A room on the north side will also require you walking up a flight of steps if you're on the second floor facing the street, as there is no elevator. Our room had a ceiling tile falling down in the bathroom. After a visit to the front desk, a request was put in to maintenance to come and fix it, instead of being placed in another room. Front desk manager walked off and out the front door while we were still standing there, and had the seemingly new employee, put in the request. No ETA was given on the maintenance request. We will be staying 3 nights so it's not starting off well. Mattress on Motel side was old and slept like it hadn't been replaced ever. There are no phones, so in order to reach the front desk you'll have to get up and walk across the street. Indoor pool looks haunted, with no ventilation. This "North side" is honestly just throwed together. No one in their right mind would purposefully book a room over here, but of course the breakdown/ explanation of where exactly your room is isn't sent to you until After you book the room. It should be in big bold letters on the booking page. The "North side" isn't a side at all, it's a completely separate Motel across from the actual Beachfront Hotel.
