Elle s'est occupé du taxi pour l'aéroport :) Le déjeuner était excellent et très copieux . L'Hôtel est 5 minutes à pied de la plage et des centaines de restaurants autour. Je le recommande fortement :)

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Casa Carolina is like an oasis once you step off the street. The pools are a welcome relief from the heat. Our room was spacious & comfortable. The food from the restaurant was very good & breakfast had plenty of options. The staff were professional & welcoming. In particular a shout out to the head chef, who was lovely.
The street Casa Carolina is on is not nice. It amazed us that such a lovely hotel could be on such an awful street. We were advised not to walk after dark & even on the Sunday evening, coming back from a very early dinner (5-6pm) a few streets away, still in daylight hours, we felt uneasy. The Main Street was almost deserted. We also noted that people not staying there can access the pools & restaurant for day use. Which is fine, but when there are children who naturally just want to have fun in the pool, all day long, it can become a little crowded (in the pool), if you just want to relax & read a book.

La calle está llena de drogadictos. Hay una bulla infernal en la noche con 2 discotecas cercanas que no permiten dormir. A las 7 de la mañana misa con altoparlante. Un desastre. Una pena porque si no fuera así el hotel estaría perfecto. Deberían tener un diálogo a nivel municipal para proteger el turismo.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Friendly staff. Good restaurant, we had dinner there one night and that was really good even if it took a while. Quick laundry service. Nice setting around the 2 courtyards. Pool is very small but good to have as it’s hot in Santa Marta. A/C works well.
Rooms are very basic, with harsh lighting. Bathroom window was broken so we had some mosquitoes come in from there. On the top floors you get some noise from town (we were there though during the Fiesta del Mar so that will be less on average nights I guess). The street (calle 12 / carrera 4) is uninviting, especially at night, but it gets livelier and nicer just around the corner, from Plaza San Francisco onwards.

When we arrived our room was with no hot water we let know the staff and it took almost 24 hours to be sorted and several complaints,in the meanwhile our room wasn’t even made up. Breakfast as told good in quality but very slow

The space was always clean by the time I came back at the end of the day, and the staff was incredibly helpful with anything we asked for. Whether it was recommendations for where to go and how to get there, laundry services, or room service, every question we had was resolved with a detailed answer. Some things we learned from the staff: Tayrona park is a cheap bus ride from the center of Santa Marta, there are a number of tours that will pick you up directly from the hotel (e.g. Minca coffee and chocolate tour), Lulo is a delicious spot to eat, and the hotel has laundry services for an extra cost. Additionally, the inside of the building and the pools are gorgeous! Can’t recommend this place enough!

La ubicación a pesar de estar muy cerca del centro y del ambiente, las calles de la propia manzana del hotel tienen poca luz, algún indigente, nos movíamos siempre en uber, ya que no era agradable. Por lo demás, todo perfecto.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026El Hotel Boutique Casa Carolina está publicitado en varios blogs de viajeros, y no es para menos, con su preciosa arquitectura, sus varias piscinas internas, varios niveles, vegetación. Es tal cual lo ves en las fotos. Está a suficiente distancia del centro (unos 500 metros) como para sentir que se está cerca y a la vez no tener todo el bullicio del centro. En eso es ideal.
La habitación, por el contrario, me defraudó un poco, y es allí donde se nota que la reforma tiene ya algunos años. El mobiliario gastado, sin conexiones para usb, el aire acondicionado viejito (y con otro móvil para complementarlo). El resultado fue que casi no estuve en la habitación, y sí en las áreas comunes y en la piscina. El desayuno estuvo bien, pero no espectacular, y podría mejorar con algo más de frutas, croissants y quesos.

Si llegas de noche, la ubicación es complicada. A pesar de estar a 6 minutos caminando del centro, se veía muy oscura la vía y al llegar en taxi ví muchas personas en situación de calle.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, en proximité immédiate des rues commerçantes du centre historique (on peut tout faire à pied), mais la rue de l’hôtel elle-même n’est pas des plus rassurantes et assez sale.

L’accès à la piscine est un peu restreint donc on n’a pas eu l’occasion de l’utiliser, mais nous n’étions sur place que 24h.

Leider waren an Tag1 und Tag 3 nicht nur Baustellengeräusche im Haus dahinter, inklusive Schlagbohrer, lautes Hämmern und Sägegetäusche, sondern auch im Hotel selber wurde in einigen Zimmern renoviert. Abends gab es dafür in Nacht 1 und 3 laute Musikbeschallung aus dem benachbarten Haus-Disco? Klimaanlage im Zimmer laut und nur auf Vollventilator einstellbar. Frühstücksbüffet war eher enttäuschend und es wurde bereits um 9h50 mit dem Aufräumen begonnen, sodass kein Café mehr nachgeholt werden konnte, dafür wurde mir das Schild mit dem ab jetzt zu zahlenden Preis hingestellt.

Lamentablemente esto no tiene que ver con el hotel. El hotel es perfecto, pero la calle en la cual está no es la mejor. A solo dos cuadras la realidad cambia, pero hay basura, orín y gente en situación de calle. Este es un problema de la ciudad que ojalá se solucione con el nuevo gobierno. Santa Marta esta olvidado por sus autoridades y se mantiene a flote por los turistas.

The location was right between two clubs that blasted music until 04:00 In the morning. We went to speak to reception but they weren’t really bothered. Paid a lot of money for a suite for two nights and didn’t get any sleep. A lot of homeless drug taking on the street outside and we didn’t feel safe. The place could also do with some TLC. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Reviewed Apr 24, 2026Delicious breakfast, two amazing pools, free upgrade to a huge room with a large bathroom and shower, very comfortable bed. All of the people who work there are incredibly kind and accommodating.
Careful w/ the free upgrades - we almost got put in a first floor room without windows. Our friends got the top floor suite which was incredible but got a lot more of the noise from the surrounding area.

Die Zimmer gehen alle auf den Innenhof und dementsprechend ist es laut. Man hört das Geschirr klappern, die Leute rede. Zudem war die Musik sehr laut eingestellt. Ich musste 2x während des Aufenthaltes die Rezeption bitten die laute Musik abzustellen. Wenn man tagsüber unterwegs und aktiv ist möchte man abends seine Ruhe. Frühstück ist sehr sehr bescheiden.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, nos sugirieron un cambio de habitación que se adaptaba mejor a nuestras necesidades y estamos muy agradecidos. Hay varias piscinas y zonas comunes. Es también muy cómodo que haya servicio de bar y restaurante en el mismo hotel.
