Lots of great cultural decoration that made us feel truly in Bali, very peaceful green and staff brings breakfast straight to your villa in the morning. Yummylicious orange juice and I make a lot of original melodies on the instruments inside the villa. Also had anything you could possibly need in the villa — first aid, sanitary cotton buds etc. ALSO SMART TV

Loved the fact that there were only 7 villas in the complex and the lush tropical gardens provided privacy and beautiful ambience. The rustic early-era design of the villas was brilliant and ours was spaceous and very comfortable. The staff were warm , welcoming and polite but were happy to connect in conversation if we encouraged this. We particularly liked the location as we were able to walk to the many warungs and supermarkets or take a 5 minute ride by motor bike or car to the beach area for greater variety if/when we decided to do so. We would most certainly revisit and enthusiastically recommend Villa Kampung Kecil Boutique Hotel , we will miss the happy smiling faces of Priscilla and Cilla.

There was nothing about the accommodation , location or choice of places to eat that we didn't like but the only drawback was trying to walk back from Sanur beach area to our accommodation , workers were renovating/constructing new footpaths on long sections of busy streets which made walking through this area very hazardous , but , solved the problem very easily by using local car or motor bike transport - cheap , efficient , safe and helped spread the wealth !

What a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the humdrum of city life. This is a tucked away resort with only a handful of villas situated just enough away from the main area of Sanur. So we didn't want to be amongst the bars and restaurants so be prepared to have to take a taxi ride (very reasonable) to go to a restaurant but with Grab, there's no issue there. We had the most lovely villa with a really nice area outside looking over the pool where we had breakfast and could relax. Inside, we had our own kitchenette area as part of the living room and then a separate bedroom and the most amazing bathroom that ran the length of one side of the villa .. oh to have this at home!! ... The pool was perfect, situated in the middle of the villas and the water temperature was just wonderful. While we were only there 3 nights, we used the pool 5 times, it was that relaxing. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We needed to check out late and that was not an issue, they even offered us a place to relax afterwards while we waited and a place to freshen up if needed in one of the other villas. This is not for those who want the whole tourist vibe and beach, this is for those who want to get away and relax but still within a few mins of all the madness. So well worth the stay!!! A few bars around 15 mins walk which was good.

Unfortunately because there is no restaurant onsite, the breakfast just didn't hit the mark and after the first day, we stopped ordering much, would like to see more options. Only real disappointing thing given how nice the place was and the staff were.

Beautiful garden and pool area. Squirrels and birds in the lovely big fig trees. Gorgeous furniture and decor. Spacious well appointed villas. Friendly, attentive staff. Comfortable and peaceful.

A bit of a walk to the beach and you do have to cross a very busy road, but definitely worth it to be in a quieter area. Plenty of great local Warungs to discover on the way. Only one bedside table by our bed so loved a chair to make a second.

We only stayed for one night in Sanur but absolutely loved it. The setting is gorgeous – lush, peaceful and like a little Balinese oasis, with a fantastic pool and lovely areas around it to relax and eat. Our accommodation was beautiful – wonderfully traditional Balinese in style but with all the modern comforts. The indoor/outdoor bathrooms were amazing, the air-con worked brilliantly and the quirky upstairs bedroom was a huge hit with our daughter. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to a table on our veranda. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful – even lending me money for a taxi when I was having problems paying online! After checkout they stored our bags and even gave us access to another villa to shower and change before our flight home. There are mosquitoes, so bring repellent, although coils and room spray are provided. A beautiful, welcoming and very special place. We’ll definitely be returning!

The accomodation was absolutely stunning, and the best way to end our 4 week holiday in Bali. As soon as we arrived we were wowed by the art and the super friendly staff. It’s away from the tourist area, which was just what we wanted, but they do have a free drop off to that area. Lovely places to eat within walking distance and the vibe is very chilled.

It’s pretty isolated. There are a couple of basic warungs nearby, but otherwise you’re getting transport, as walking is difficult without footpaths.

The staff desk was very helpful in ensuring we knew options for a dinner there or other local options. The breakfast we had there was deliciously fresh. We had amazing massages en suite that we scheduled with an hours notice. The pool was surrounded by a gorgeous jungle of plants and was so peaceful as a city oasis.

La villa est spacieuse, belle salle de bain et lit confortable. Une grande piscine et calme la nuit. C’est joliment décoré. Un petit warung propre et sympa à proximité pour manger : le Green Chili Warung.

Le quartier n’est pas interessant voir sale. Il faut prendre un taxi pour s’éloigner. Vraiment rien à voir à proximité. Le petit déjeuner est apporté le matin à la villa il faut donc dire la veille au soir ce qu’on voudra manger et à quelle heure (c’est pénible ! Le propre des vacances c’est de ne pas avoir d’horaire) et en plus la qualité du petit déjeuner et moyenne. L’eau de la piscine n’est pas super claire.

We loved our stay. The pool was gorgeous and shaded by the lush garden. Gorgeous day beds to relax on. The staff went over and above to take care of us. We'll definitely be back!

Je belandt hier letterlijk in een Balinesche oase. De huisjes voelen authentiek en de tuin is heerlijk groen. Het personeel is vriendelijk en het ontbijt is prima. De kinderen vonden het een droomhuis en hebben zich goed vermaakt.

This place is a hidden gem. It's very baliness style. You can't tell from the outside but once you go in, you are in a different world! It's quiet, clean, beautiful and peaceful. We loved our room and the outdoor area. The pool was fun. My kids loved it. The beds are so comfortable. Shower water was nice too. The staff was super nice. They clean everything everyday. The villa is not too close to the beach (about 10min driving), but they provide shuttle drive to the beach which is super nice.

The location is a bit of turn off. The busy narrow small dirt road where is villa on is packed by motor bikes. Very scary walking on it.

The room was beautiful including the bathroom, lots of space. You can perceive the care in small details. The swimming pool is delicious and the localization makes it easy to reach other spots in South Bali. Abive all, the staff was really attentions and kind specially Priscila.

The breakfast is good but could be better.

Absolutely stunning place, with kind and helpful staff. I had a massage here, the masseuse came to my room with a massage bed and everything, she was incredible: strong, firm and just right. I loved the o baba cafe across the road as well

See my previous review. 10 stars xxx Some of the photos are the joglo and some are the two bedroom apartment that was upstairs overlooking the pool. The joglos are the quietest. But the two bedroom apartment upstairs is so light with amazing art and traditional instruments and is great for entertaining and relaxing indoors. Because it is like you are outdoors. But you can sometimes hear traffic from there. But in the joglos it is so so quiet.

Love this place. So quiet and tranquil. Not right on the beach. But worth it having to Gojek there to have such beautiful villas in a beautiful setting. The traditional joglos are gorgeous. Will stay again.

Just having to cross the main road for beach. Not the actual property. It didn’t bother me enough to not book nor will it stop me from booking again.

De badkamer. Aanvoer warm water duurt heel lang. Er hangt een geiser voor een andere bungalow en het is bloedheet in de badkamer. Geen TV en veel is sterk gedateerd.

Werkelijk alles, de mensen zijn zo vriendelijk, de tuin is prachtig, het ontbijt is heerlijk, de villa met alle Balinese details zo sfeervol, leuke restaurantjes in de buurt, de ligbedden zijn zo fijn, gratis drinkwater, de rust

Ik kan niets bedenken.

Die ganze Anlage ist wie ein Paradies. Wie ein gepflegter Urwald mit Zimmern. Einen schönen Pool in der Mitte, und in den Zimmern wurde an jede Kleinigkeit gedacht.

Etwas abseits von der Innenstadt aber in der Umgebung gibt's Cafés und Restaurants

Our stay at Villa Kampung was truly special. A beautiful oasis that felt like a peaceful retreat from the moment we arrived. The traditional Balinese hospitality was warm and genuine, making us feel completely at home. The villa, surroundings, and atmosphere were all simply magical.

Nice stay. “Old” Style Bali stay. Not old in a bad way but the way it was. Old Javanese style “homes. Small property. It’s not a “modern” stay like many of abali’s new hotels and villas. Very nice staff. I’d stay there again.

We had an amazing 2 nights in this peaceful villa. The downstairs double bed was the comfiest bed that I have slept in.

It was beautifully styled in Javanese balinese antiques & artwork. The pool & garden well designed & cared for.

A peaceful lush oasis. It was so quiet it was like we had a private pool. The pictures don’t do it justice. Our villa was so delightful. Can’t wait to return. For longer!

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room and pool were both magnificent and the location allowed for a true experience while quiet and serene once you entered through the beautiful wooden doors. A true experience and highly recommended. I feel.Sanur is Bali's treasure.

I loved everything about my stay in the villa. It’s a cozy, home place in Indonesian Javanese tradition, if you really wish to experience Javanese culture in Bali, definitely choose this. Even though it’s not a walking distance, there’s a shuttle and taxi is not expensive to get anywhere you’d like to.

Breakfast was very nice. The messuese did fatastic work on my wife and I. Special thanks! Loved the pool and surrounding atmosphere! Pool loungers were very comfortable. Also loved to hear the birds in the morning.

If I knew better to book that big, beautiful 1 bedroom suite I would have...next time I will! However, we were quite satisfied with our room.

Vanwege overstroming in Sanur (regenseizoen) kregen wij een prachtig, enorm groot appartement helemaal in Indonesische sferen (meubels, beelden, schilderijen, houtwerk). Er zijn gratis fietsen te leen waarmee je (let op: wel door het drukke verkeer) naar de zee kunt fietsen. Personeel is enorm aardig en behulpzaam. Ontbijt werd gebracht bij je eigen kamer, je kan een dag tevoren uit een hele lijst uitkiezen wat je wilt eten.

Geluid van het verkeer, de scooters en auto’s.

Keine Möglichkeit, auch im Hotel z.Bsp ein Bier zu kaufen (Hotel hat kein Restaurant) Terrassen sind sehr schön, aber auch sehr grün und vor allem hoch eingegrünt. Ein Rückschritt für mehr Licht wäre schön

room size and comfort was perfect and spacious. The kitchenette the layout and the way the colours had been used were amazing. All the traditional artifacts perfectly befitting the traditional joglo layout. The bathroom huge with bath and shower and keeping in style with the rest of the room. The staff were amazing and caring and we had an amazing breakfast to our door every day. Thank you to all the staff and to the owners, you have created a traditional and beautiful representation of a Java joglo and turned it into a beautiful hotel. Love the colours of the tiling and all the attention to detail. And what a confortable and spacious bed, and loved the duvet! The communication pre arrival was also perfect from the team.

The room was so incredibly beautiful and full of thoughtful additions; everything felt curated and considered. The grounds and pool area were also wonderfully relaxing; a little oasis in the lovely Sanur. The owners and staff were all so friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

We loved Absolutely everything !! The most gorgeous Balinese property. Bedroom and bathroom so tastefully done. Bed is super comfy with fresh with clean linen. Own private patio with day beds an outdoor couch and table and chairs. This is a small boutique hotel so it’s very cozy and private. Free shuttle drop off 3 times a day is so convenient. Staff are friendly and efficient. Thank you Priscilla for the great welcome. Location is away from hustle and bustle and at night very peaceful. Scooter rental just across the road. Would not hesitate to return.

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, im Bad ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Das Personal ist unfassbar freundlich.

Unterkunft im balinesischen Stil. Der Pool sah bei Nacht sehr schön aus. Das Personal war top und super zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Der Preis war okay

Zum Strand mussten wir immer ein Taxi nehmen. Die Lage hatten wir unterschätzt. Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern unterwegs und abends war es sehr hellhörig, da vom Pool der Lärm direkt ins Schlafzimmer kam, da es bei unserer Villa bei manchen Scheiben nur Netzgitter aber keine Fensterscheiben gab. Zudem gab es dort super viele Moskitos.
