Car parking. The multi-storey closes at 21.30 and if your car is stuck inside you need to pay £50 to get it released. It's also old but a ticket Pay&Display..

Lovey location and as I stay here quite a lot I was lucky and upgraded this time to a superior room it would be lovely in summer as it had a balcony over looking the outside seating area

Excellent. Beautifully presented breakfast and lovely to have tea and coffee served at the table rather than horrible machines, and to have plated dishes. The staff were wonderful, particularly the first class reception lady who is an absolute credit to the hotel: hugely welcoming and helpful throughout our visit

The toast machine did not produce a very good product.

Room was beautifully appointed. Slippers and bathrobe included, as was a coffee machine. Large bed was super comfortable.

Room was nice enough, great size, dining and lounge areas were good as was the private terrace. We did not have breakfast so cannot rate this. The location was excellent.

The room was a bit tired and a few things (lights, bathroom door locks) did not work. The air conditioning was pathetic and less than useful.

Reserved a table for lunch, we received a warm welcome and shown to our table. It was less than a minute when Chris introduced himself to us and said he would be looking after us. Service provided by Chris was excellent. The food and wine were top quality and along with the attentive but not intrusive service, made this dining experience enjoyable.

I liked the location and the bar/restaurant is lovely

For £350+ for a single night, we expected the room to be flawless — but it fell far short. The room was noticeably run down: cupboard doors hanging off their hinges, drawers that wouldn’t close properly, non-functioning air conditioning with exposed wires, and no bathroom amenities provided. When we raised this with a member of staff, she seemed unable to offer any meaningful help or advice. It was only after we sought out the manager ourselves that things improved — he was apologetic and offered a discount on the booking along with a complimentary drink. While we appreciated the gesture, it didn’t fully make up for the fact that the room simply didn’t reflect what we’d paid for.

Breakfast the first morning was excellent not so good the following mornings, bacon and black pudding looked as if it was cooked hours earlier and kept warm

We had some issues with hot water which were quickly fixed. Main issue is the bath is extremely high so taking a shower was pretty dangerous especially trying to step out when wet. These rooms should have some kind of accessibility warning as if we were older we wouldnt have been able to shower. The room was made up, but no new tea bags or milk provided so had to call down for it.

Not up to it’s normal excellent standard We were in the apartment Bathroom window - painted shut ! Bathroom lock not working Blind in one bedroom- would not go back up We specifically asked for the room to be cleaned- this did not happen We had to go and ask for this at 19.00 hours The restaurant was busy as it always is However - there did not appear to be enough waitresses We waited at least 45 minutes between each course People around us were complaining too

Excellent service from Sam W who was very professional and a helpful member of staff. Friendly, attentive and always happy to help. She made our visit really enjoyable and is a real credit to the bar and restaurant. Thanks Sam, we will be back soon.

Oh dear . If you can’t staff your property stop taking bookings . Long wait for drinks with only one barman. 50 minutes after sitting and chasing we finally placed an order ., next review will be when we eventually get some food . Teed off as I earlier paid a deposit for Christmas Day ( weirdly without knowing the price or the menu ) Rethink required !

Close to town and friendly check in

Sadly the shower screen over the bath had not got a seal strip which meant water leaked over the shower we made sure the we put towels down - sadly this is not the first time when we have stayed maintenance issues have occurred which is such a shame as it lets the hotel down !

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before but the rooms are really in need of a refurbishment. I felt I had been ripped off to be honest at £503 for 2 nights. The bedroom was run down and grubby and the staff were obviously unhappy. The first night we also had a very disturbed sleep due to a wedding party taking place below our room and the guests shouting in the corridors at 1 and 2 am. I didn’t want to walk on the carpet in the room as it looked so dirty and the bathroom floor was also unclean. Glass in picture frames was smashed, walls covered in marks and lights on walls wonky. The breakfast was acceptable but the staff member in charge was being unkind to a young member of staff and that made me uncomfortable. We won’t return.

Beautiful decor, very comfortable and excellent facilities..iron, coffee machine etc Staff were excellent…but a special mention to Sam lovely manner and exceptional service…..and Chris very knowledgeable and he makes an excellent Negroni

The only real problem was the bath….far too high to get in and out of….my husband sustained a very nasty bruise to the back of his leg when stepping out of the bath. Likewise the mirror..were the clear vision part of mirror was much too high to see into….although excellent TempleSpa products provided

The hotel is in a good location, away from the centre of Harrogate but an easy 5-10 minute walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants. We had a nice big room, nicely furnished and with a nice, big bathroom. There was a small balcony with a table and chair. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The are good cooked options for breakfast and a reasonable buffet. There is not a car park at the hotel but there is a big public car park at the back of the hotel which is easily accessed from the hotel. There is plenty of street parking nearby but it's chargeable and is only for up to 4 hours. Most of the car parks and parking places use an app called AppyParking and this is vey useful as you only get charged when you leave and only for the time you've been parked.

What a hidden gem of a hotel this is! Absolutely loved our stay here, the rooms are clean and luxurious and all the staff are great! All super friendly and the rooms have air conditioning! Another huge perk! Breakfast is great too, lovely service from the wonderful Augustina every morning. Thank you to Augustina and the breakfast chef, Carlos for a lovely shakshuka! We will be back for sure and wouldn't even hesitate to look at any other hotels in the area, no one can compete with the high levels of this hotel! Highly recommend to all, you wont be disappointed!

Great, individual boutique hotel and restaurant situated by the stray in Harrogate. The staff team are always welcoming, relaxed, professional and attentive. We chose the 3 course set menu for lunch. Overall a good choice and great value for money. Just a couple of minor tweaks would make it perfect … The salad needs some dressing and the profiteroles need something to complete the dish which was a disappointing, pre-packed, rather than homemade desert.

Stayed last week 2 nights - been recommended by a friend who always stays in a suite front facing - we stayed in a ‘Deluxe’ room 212 pretty average / small / disappointing with a dated bathroom - luckily we are fairly fit and could climb into a high bath to access the shower - wouldn’t stay again

We have stayed many times in a deluxe double room and have always had a good stay. However after our recent stay we will not consider West Park for any future Harrogate stays, which is unfortunate as we often visit Harrogate. This time the room did not meet our expectations. Every single wall in the room was covered in black marks, the room, overall the room did not match the cleanliness of previous stays, overlooked the multi storey carpark and the corridor leading to our room smelt strongly of vomit, We informed the reception and she confirmed that a guest had been sick the previous day. Obviously the carpet had not been cleaned to a standard to remove the smell. The smell remained on the day of our departure. We will not risk the expense of staying at your hotel again, weekends away are a treat, this time we were left disappointed and will choose to stay elsewhere.

The hotel is lovely and room was great apart from it boiling outside and like a sauna inside the room with the underfloor heating on, and air on not working. Thank you to the lady on reception tried to sort it out with fans. Think you need to turn off the underfloor heating also will save you some money!! Fix the air-conditioning too The room was lovely and comfortable otherwise.

The dining at the hotel was very disappointing and unacceptable. Not the only ones to be complaining, excuses of being very busy. Don't know how you would manage if the restaurant was full then, really poor service and not good when you are charged for something you waited ages for and never arrived.

Special mention to Purvi on Reception, every time we came through Reception you took the time to chat and open doors for us. We stayed in the Rye Suite which was very comfortable and well equipped with a lovely view over The Stray. There was a party on the Saturday night but we didn't hear anything thanks to the amazing soundproofing. The room was spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom. It needs a little tlc here and there (missing switch, wobbly cupboard doors) but nothing that affected our stay. The hotel is perfectly located for the town centre and has a car park right behind it (£9 for 24 hours.) To be honest though, it's the staff that really make this place shine, so friendly and helpful and everyone takes the time to chat. I honestly can't wait to return.

Love this hotel. We always stay here when visiting Harrogate. Lovely staff, Rooms are immaculate, coffee machine in room, underfloor heating in bathroom. Bath and a shower and air conditioning in rooms. Super king size bed. Wouldnt stay anywhere else. Excellent value for money.

the wedding party at this small hotel finished at 12 but kept milling around the hotel shouting and banging on doors til 4am staff made no effort to keep anyone quiet. outdoor smoking area was full of people til 4am and this was right outside my window on 2nd floor. i didn't get any sleep til 4am. hotel should keep wedding and other guests separate to avoid this. nobody answered my calls to reception during the night.

We visited The West Park Hotel for dinner and drinks, and had an incredible experience. While the food was excellent value, the service from Chris and his team was absolute class—attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our visit. A special mention must go to Chris for his Manhattan cocktails, which were absolutely delicious and a real highlight of the evening The entire experience offered brilliant value for money, made even better by the points we accrue on every visit. We will certainly be back, if only to have Chris mix us another round of drinks. Highly recommended for the outstanding hospitality

I attended the jazz evening with my family on the Friday of the bank holiday and it was exceptional. The singer Georgia Hair was phenomenal and we will definitely be attending again when Georgia is on! Our food was also great and the whole atmosphere in the courtyard was lovely! Xx

There was nothing not to like , the only slight issue was the air was poor the weather was red hot and it left the room hotter than outside but it didn't affect the stay just a tad too hot at night 😁

Everything was good except that there was an intermittent buzzing noise in the room at night which kept us awake. Maybe faulty air con next door or on the roof outside. Reception staff were very lovely and gave us free breakfast to compensate, but could not get it fixed.

There's so much to like about this place: a great location on the edge of town with verdant views; superb breakfast choice (oh, that black pudding!); chic rooms and great housekeeping; and, as you'd hope, friendly, confident and competent staff. Just returned from another great stay at the West Park. All the staff made us welcome and we had some excellent food and wine during our stay. The well presented room we had was clean and quiet and we enjoyed some peaceful nights. We look forward to returning again as there is so much to see in and around Harrogate and the Hotel is the perfect base. Thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable. We will be back.

Great location for easy walk into town. As ever, a warm welcome from reception. My room was lovely, clean, comfortable and a lovely big bath. The new menu is superb, something for everyone. Great value for money. I had the Lamb duo which was excellent. I was served by Becky, great customer service, friendly and polite. It is so lovely to come back to the West Park but always sad to leave. Well done team West Park.

Nice clean comfortable room with everything you could possibly wish for! Not the greatest view out of our window but this made it no less enjoyable and as we didn't request a special room I wasn't expecting it to be anymore than inner view anyway, but everything else was perfect! This is our second stay here and what makes our visits extra special is Purvi on reception, she is excellent at making you feel like a very valued guest with her warm greeting when you arrive and her attentive professional nature, she is so welcoming and helpful! It's a lovely hotel spotlessly clean and all the team are lovely! We would definitely come back again when we next stay in Harrogate !

The hotel is really central and the reception staff very helpful. The room was not big, but was big enough and well equipped, and very stylish. Lovely fluffy white towels and nice furnishings. Bed linen spotlessly clean.

1. The bathroom door kept opening - forgot to mention this (we are on the 3rd floor).2. Had a view of the multi-storey car-park, so not attractive outlook at the back of the hotel. 3. There is no parking for the hotel (although there is a multi-storey carpark behind and an open air car park opposite that) - the lady on reception kindly explained where to find street parking. Despite these minor points I would recommend the hotel highly.

Welcome was ok, and room allocated quickly. The room was a reasonable size. Bedding and towels were good quality. Fresh milk provided was a bonus!

We booked breakfast. There was a choice of continental or individual hot dishes. We choose the continental - it was very disappointing for £15 each - a very limited choice and poor reflection of the cost.

Lovely location. Great having two car parks virtually next door. Reception were very welcoming and helpful. Complimentary upgrade was received with surprise - such a treat staying on the penthouse suite. Tow bathrooms, study/dressing room, huge bedroom, lounge and patio. Lovely big white fluffy towels.
