Bed was too high

The room was really nice. We saw other guests enjoying what appeared to be a nice manager's reception happy hour; however, we arrived too late to partake.

Breakfast was late getting set up, so we were unable to eat before our flight time. They offer an airport shuttle, but it was unavailable when we had hoped to use it. The hotel is a short distance from the airport; however, there aren't many restaurant choices in the area.

Abgesehen davon, dass unserer Schlafzimmer direkt an einer schon morgens viel befahrenen Straße lag, gibt es kaum etwas auszusetzen. Insbesondere das breite, bequeme Bett haben wir sehr geschätzt. Das Hotel macht insgesamt einen sehr gediegenen Eindruck.

Weil das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Straße liegt, kann es in manchen Zimmern schon morgens zu Belästigungen durch Verkehrslärm kommen. Außerdem ist es leider nicht möglich, die Innenstadt in einem bequemen Fußmarsch zu erreichen. Man ist auf das Auto angewiesen.

I loved everything about this place, the staff, the location and how well clean the rooms were. We had a terrible night at another hotel and it was so dirty and gross but we got there late so we had to sleep somewhere. The next day we booked green mountains suites and I'm so glad we did. My kids were so happy, and had so much fun. I was so happy to be somewhere where our needs are met and my kids ended up having a good time. Until this day my kids always say they wanna go back to the hotel lol

Breakfast was mid... hotel eggs are always too hard and not good. The hotel room itself was outdated and a bit dusty. For the price and the review on booking I would have expected nicer. Needs upgrading for sure. Worst hotel on our VT/CA trip and was the most expensive too. Would have rather just booked a Marriott or Holiday Inn.

The bed is amazing, Lovely suite with so much space. I wasn't interested in cooking but guess others might. The staff were welcoming and kind.

The couch had stains on the cushions which must be hard to keep clean with so many guests but I laid a towel over it before I sat down.

Common areas were smaller than expected. The publicity photos with wide angles are deceiving. It would be nice if the outdoor space and fire pits were not closed down so early- maybe consider extending by an hour.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a warm, distinctly Vermont feel. The robust breakfast was a highlight each morning, with an excellent variety and plenty to enjoy.

Breakfast can get crowded during the busiest morning hours, although the staff are serving many guests and keep things moving.

We have stayed here often. Love the one bedroom layout with a separate living room and kitchenette. Always clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and the lobby and breakfast area have a good vibe with a huge fireplace. Many outdoor seating areas available when the weather is good. Fresh coffee always available. It's a bit out of town (near the airport) but with a car it's very convenient and the parking is free. There's a Trader Joe's almost across the street.

The rooms are spacious, the breakfast was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. Despite many travelers at the hotel, it was quiet and relaxing in the evening.

The suite was excellent: plenty of room, nice bedding and spacious bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was above average and the hotel was clean and inviting.

Nice facilities, with an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. It was never too crowded, though the pool was not really huge. They offer complimentary happy hour a few days of the week, but we didn't get to try it. The room had a microwave and electric stove, and a big refrigerator.

The quality of the food at breakfast was pretty poor, a lot of pre processed food, very little fruits, only bananas and oranges. Unfortunately there are no coffee places in the vicinity for an easy to grab breakfast, location is a limiting factor. With the car you're in Burlington downtown in 10ish minutes, but the surroundings of the hotel are not really walkable.

This property is beautiful. The setup would be perfect for a longer stay but unfortunately we were only here for one night. Great suite setup. Bedroom doors can be closed for privacy and kitchen was very well equipped. Very good breakfast bar and tea and coffee in the lobby til 9pm. The grounds are lovely as well.

The breakfast food looked so much better on the website. It was disappointing. Also, there is a man who was asked to dress a sofa bed for one of my grandchildren. He dropped the clean linen on the floor. That was shocking.

The staff was incredible from check in to check out! The common areas were clean and comfortable with an outdoor patio. Great breakfast and happy hour.

This independently-run hotel offers great service; a decent hot breakfast; a heated indoor pool that's big enough for everyone to enjoy; free parking; large, comfortable rooms and a lounge with comfy chairs and a big fireplace. It's just a few minutes from downtown and close to groceries and restaurants.

It’s a bit outside but you get to downtown and the lake within 10 minutes.

The pool area around the pool hadn‘t been cleaned while we were there. There was a used bandaid on the floor when we arrived and it remained on the floor until we left. I would also like to see washable cups where the coffee area is for the guests eating inhouse to avoid at least a bit of trash.

This hotel is great for families with all of the amenities. Plenty of room, kids love the pool area and breakfast! It is located in a great spot away from downtown but close to everything

The breakfast was superb, a little different each day. The seating was very pleasant around the fireplace or at any one of the tables with a view of the garden or outside in the garden.

There are areas that can definitely use a refresh/update - areas that just did not appear as clean as they could be (rugs, floor in room was sticky, carpet in elevator, etc.). Our daughter slept on the pull out in living room and those need to be replaced. The amount of stains on the mattress were concerning.

Inconvenient crossing the street to get from one side of the hotel to the other (there was a 3rd story crossing bridge, but we were on the 1st floor).

I have been staying at the Green Mountain Suites for years. I always return as the accommodations are superior. The staff is helpful, courteous and happy. The breakfast buffet is tasty and has many options to choose from. The outdoor patios are quite and lovely to sit with a book and have your morning (refillable) cup of coffee or tea. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quit. Overall, the property is a 10+

The room was very nice - modern, clean, comfortable bed, very convenient location.

The breakfast was awful. The eggs were terrible (tasted like powdered eggs), the bacon was mostly not there, the potatoes were terrible. There was nothing good about the breakfast. I couldn't even get my grandkids to eat it.

My daughter and I had just visited with extended family and the suite was the perfect size to relax and enjoy a quiet night before we had to wake up early to travel back home. The room was clean, comfortable and hotel staff were incredibly kind. We felt very pleased with our stay and would stay again. Thank you!

This is a privately owned hotel, not a chain. I thought the comfort and quality of the furnishings were quite nice. My suite was equipped for a longer stay, including fridge, kitchenette, dishes, glasses, etc. My suite was very clean and comfortable with ample thick towels, a comfortable separate bedroom, a generous breakfast in the AM. There is an indoor pool. They have free parking on-site. I dropped a piece of jewelry down the bathroom sink, and the head engineer, Sergei, came to my room at 8 am to retrieve it from the drain. He was so gracious! Thank you Sergei! Green Mountain Hotel is located away from downtown Burlington and the lakefront, so if you want to experience the town you'll have to drive.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Originally booked for 4 but were so disappointed in the accommodations we checked out early. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming which gives the impression that it's going to be a great hotel. Our suite was a "garden view" which didn't look at anything but trees. Good news was that we were off the street side of the hotel. We thought this was a hotel nestled in the mountains and realized that it's a hotel right off of a fairly busy road. The suite was very outdated and the furniture was uncomfortable, not to mention it wasn't clean. The housekeepers had cleaned all the surfaces but it needs a very deep clean and refurbishing. The breakfast was typical and ok but know that the hotel allows pets so we had dogs around while we tried to eat and could hear one barking from our room. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet allowing for a good night of sleep. The rate was that of a luxury hotel but offered more of a 3 star experience vs. a 5 star. We were shocked based on the great reviews and rating this hotel had gotten on Trip Advisor. I did write the staff and let them know our concerns and was only told they appreciate my feedback so hopefully others will let them know as well.

I stayed here with a group of friends for a week and we LOVED the property. The large rooms, the kitchen, and good breakfasts made us comfortable. The staff were outstanding and always willing to help us with a smile. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests. The property is in good shape and in a convenient location. There are a number of restaurants, grocery stores and a Target all close by.

Green Mountain Suites is the only place we recommend to stay in Vermont. We live in Chicago and come to Vermont to visit family. We love everything about GMS. Give it a shot and you will not be disappointed.

The staff was very friendly and our suite was perfect for traveling with our 8 month old. She could nap in the bedroom while we hung out in the living room area, or I could clean bottles without disturbing anyone!

2-bedroom suite with king in one and double queens in the other was one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely great for families with a kitchenette for longer stays.

Watch your legs around the wood bed frames. They are wider than the bed with sharp corners and blend well with the dark carpets.

We had a wonderful stay at Green Mountain Suites. The suite was spacious, very comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Burlington area.

Clean, comfortable, and spacious room. We enjoyed the cozy lobby and the included breakfast was very nice. The location is in a suburban area about a 12 minute drive from downtown. We only spent one night, but I would see it being a great option for families/longer stays. We used the sofa bed as well, and it was pretty good

Very nice hotel. The girl in reception wasn't too helpful when we arrived after a long flight and trip. They hadn't put a crib in the room so she had one sent but they could have gone the extra mile and set it up. Or put some cold water in the big refridgerator. Extra efforts that make a difference. Otherwise, no complaints

I travel A Lot and when I say it was clean I didn’t even feel the need to Lysol the bed. Yes I travel with Lysol. Don’t laugh I you’ve stayed at places you wish you had 😂. It’s a small place and the staff are all great. Especially cleaning staff. So sweet. We all love the extra coffee. My room is a bedroom with a living area and small kitchen. The kitchen has everything you could want and a real fridge. And it was quiet. The area is a great location. Out of the hustle and bustle but close to lots. It’s tucked in a cute little area and parking excellent! Overflow lot right across the street with cameras. I will definitely stay here again. Actually I extended my 2 nights to 4. 🤘

The warm and relaxing atmosphere made the stay very enjoyable. The outdoor patio was a great place to unwind, especially with the peaceful Zen-style music playing in the background. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming.

The breakfast was fairly basic and offered limited variety. The room could also use a few more electrical outlets near the bed for charging devices.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk for more than 10 minutes, and the staff member who eventually checked us in was not particularly welcoming. She did not smile once or engage in any conversation. The room also left a lot to be desired. The floors were sticky and didn't feel clean, we found other peoples clothes under the beds and hair in the shower. The beds were quite firm, and while the pillows were comfortable, the air conditioner was extremely noisy and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The location was ok. But not walkable. The pool was okay, and they did have a gym which we did not use. Overall, our experience was disappointing, and I don't think we would choose to stay here again. We did not feel it was worth what we spent on the hotel. We would have preferred to pay a bit more and feel welcomed and have a cleaner brighter space.

The free breakfast was awful. The eggs were inedible plus the pan was mostly empty, the bacon was empty, the hash browns were awful. All in all the breakfast was really bad but the hotel was great so mostly a win!

Beautiful common areas, almost gives a spa retreat vibe. Good breakfast with a bit of variety each day. Loved the social hour, I thought that was a very unique and elegant service.

The staff seemed to hate their jobs, we had maybe 3 interactions in the span of 5 days, and each 3 times we looked like we were the biggest bother. Considering the price and elegance of the property, I wasn’t expecting that from the staff. Also disappointed that there is no room service or amenities refill (unless you ask, which again, seems to bother them). At almost 500$ a night, that aspect is a disappointment.
