Clean good decor comfortable room. Good breakfast.
Very poor options on dining and limited menu. Maybe adequate for one night stay but very disappointing for 3 nights. Couldn’t reserve a table. Quality restaurant closed.
Very helpful staff , we had a party there & it great .Nice food & rooms
Bar prices are expensive
Warm cosy friendly
Bar was a little expensive
El desayuno
Por fuera podria estar mas cuidado el Edificio
Location excellent food disgusting staff polite but not friendly
Some interaction with staff hotel was not busy so even a few suites wud have been helpful frozen food in restaurant not good enough
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and go above and beyond.
My daughter wasn't happy that there was no coco pops for breakfast lol.
I loved the stairs and chandaler
The rooms were a bit dated, the afternoon tea was not fresh, and they were low on stay so not very attentive and dinner took ages to come
Great staff
Every thing was great
Beautiful hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Staff are lovely and the food is good too.
The room was very warm.
Kamer was ruim en netjes. Ontbijt was OK.
comfort and great staff
We were in Room 301 which we love (we had stayed there before). the room has a good desk which I would have used for a few minutes but didn't because of the absence of a suitable chair.
The staff, especially Devoka in reception extremely helpful & professional.
Staff were great.bed was comfortable and the view .was great.
The breakfast was nice but not just me people were asking me were did you get the tea pots.i had to ask for a t pot and a couple of t pots were in a cupboard.it seemed to be mayhem at breakfast time, oran Orange juice was runmnng out, no t pots no molk pots, everybody had to ask for something, there tables full of dishes everywhere and the toaster took ag es while the breakfast was getting cold.never come across this before and weve stayed in many hotels.2nd morning our room wasnt updated while we were at breakfast so i asked for a couple of cups downstairs an it was when i got upstairs one of them was covered in tea stain which i could rub off with my finger.i think this is simple knowledge, simple hygeine.there was no swimming in lanes because there was fellas mucking about dping something in the two lanes,im a keen swimmer and was looking forward to this.no life guards at the post which i thought was strange considering there was a lot of kids in pool, it only takes one slip or even someone to take ill. This was a big birthday celebration so didnt meet our expetations.originaly i asked before hand could the hotel arrange flowers and they said we cant, leaving the hotel for home a van pulled up and guess what it was a flowerist. . 🫤
The decor and attention to detail.
There was an air freshener scent in the terrace bar when I was dining.
Staff were universally helpful and friendly
Lack of a walk in shower and areas of the hotel were starting to look tired
Some of the staff were friendly. Asked for a change of room as we had initially been allotted a room with an adjoining door. In ten minutes we were sorted and changed to another room.
Breakfast: Arrived at 9:45 am for breakfast. Was not shown to a table or shown where everything was. It was like having breakfast at a service station! Second morning arrived earlier . More food on display. It was a more pleasant experience. Dinner: Featherblade of beef was tough and not tender as I have had in the past. We asked for sauce on the side but it was served covered in sauce. The outside badly needs painting.
bottle opener in the room was very thoughtful staff very friendly, good breakfast selection
Nice clean hotel, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff and overall generally a pleasant getaway
No aircon in some rooms
The staff were really lovely and helpful, the rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable.
We paid €25 each to use the thermal suite and swimming pool, which was in the thick of children's swimming lessons. The thermal suite is quite small and doesnt offer much more than 2 steam rooms and 2 other rooms. For the price we paid we expected a lot more. The water pressure in the showers was terrible and the shower in the women's room didnt have any shampoo/conditioner etc
Accommodated a request for an accessible room without any hassle, which was really appreciated. Breakfast was good, able to fill yourself up and cut out the need for lunch. Three choices for evening meals, but two of which pretty much had the same menu.
Exterior building could do with a bit of a freshen up, that said grounds were immaculate. Could have done with a bit more observation from the staff in some places, too busy chatting to each other rather than spotting customers
Good size rooms and facilities
Showers was not very powerful
Breakfast was ok. The room was clean and comfortable.
The common areas like the café area were not very welcoming.
Nice a peaceful i would go back
The spa
Breakfast , twin room was large and Leisure Complex excellent.
Nothing
Decor and the restaurant was lovely
The staff in reception were very judgy and unhelpful the beds were uncomfortable and the cleaning staff were very rude and judgy to us
Beautiful view from the bedroom and staff were very accomodating
Breakfast was a disaster and for this reason I wouldn’t return. On entry to the dining room, there was crushed cereal in the floor. This was still in the floor 30 minutes later. I called a staff member’s attention to it and he replied ‘I know’. Very messy all around the cereal. No fresh fruit on display instead an employ platter with dirty cutlery into. limited choice for breakfast. We had to clean a table. We sat beside the window. Window ledge was filthy
Everything there.
Lovely room nice location. Breakfast was nice.
We had to move rooms in the night as there was noise coming from the vents above in the ceiling
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very outdated! The hotel exterior is very poor. The paint is peeling off the exterior walls. The rooms need a serious upgrade. This is a 2 star hotel that's charging extortionate prices. Honestly you'd find a 5 star Airbnb for 3 nights for €600!
Brilliant facilities
Mouldy towel in hotel room
The pool and health centre The roccocco restaurant The beds comfortable the rooms spotless Service and staff were fantastic
Nothing yet
Facilities are fantastic, the hotel is well located. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only thing and it’s quite small and can easily be rectified. I was given a locker key at the leisure centre but there was no locking mechanism on any of the lockers. There’s signs everywhere saying that you leave belongings at your own risk but I think this seriously needs addressed. It was pointless the member of staff giving me a locker key as there was locking the locker and the locker I was assigned already had someone else’s belongings in it but this wouldn’t be enough to put me off returning to the hotel in future. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay.
Breakfast was superb!! Great variety and fresh
Dinner in bar was not very hot . But dessert made up for this.
The friendly and efficient staff
The breakfast could cater more for the continental style. More fruit more cheese
Staff were fantastic Very helpful in all requests
There was no mention of a kids club with most parents at the bar letting their kids run riot This was advertised as a golf and spa retreat not a crèche
Food was delicious. Big portions.
The WiFi went off on Friday night. Checked out on Sunday and the WiFi was still off. Despite the DND sign on the door, numerous times the maids knocked on the door. Mattress was over used, dipped in the middle.
Front staff were lovely.
The curtains were dirty and when we decided to go down for a drink at the bar, It was a quiet evening and tables were cleaned off. So food and empty pints were just sitting on tables all around us for the 40Mins we were sat down there.
Spacious and clean
No mirror near a plug
Thomas on reception was very helpful.
Restaurant poor - lack of crockery and cutlery. Breakfast food very poor.
I stayed here for my 48th birthday and it was an absolute fairytale. The staff were exceptionally professional, escorting me personally to my room. I was upgraded to an magical fairytale room,The grounds are pristine, peaceful, and full of luxury. It felt like being in Bridgerton! I had a beautiful, relaxing birthday dinner in the Terrace Lounge. 10 out of 10, I will absolutely be back."I was treated like a queen, thank you all so much for making my stay so very special,I will most definitely be back,🏨🫅
Alex our waiter at the Rose Ball was fantastic. So helpful and full of fun too! Great at his job
Cocktails finish at 11
Air con room..lovely and spacious
Service was really slow for dinner. Waited 40mins + between starter and main course which was challenging with a baby to entertain
Balcony and Jacuzzi
Odd smell in room on entry
Had wonderful time and will for sure co.e again
All was goox
Beautiful hotel
Nothing to dislike
Leisure center was amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for walking into Trim

Breakfast was good
I booked online with booking.com and was told the price will not change but when I arrived the price had increased by €72
Clean, friendly and welcoming.
Squeaky door (reported) and kind of sorted. Plug sockets that didn’t work with wires exposed and then plug faces coming loose when removing plugs. Room also very dated and it showed with paint patches in the bathroom, most of the knobs on drawers and doors were loose and the ceiling air-conditioning vent was loose on one side right above the beds.
Spa was excellent
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff
Entrance and reception are beautifully decorated
Rooms are outdated Some staff were grumpy The bar was dirty there was dead flies on the floor and window sills and lots of visible dirt and streak marks on bar stool and tables
Staff,food,rooms all fantastic 👏 👌 🙌
The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. One thing I must give a shout out to is the lady working behind the breakfast counter in the morning. The breakfast hall was packed and while she was busy refilling the hot breakfast items I asked if there were boiled eggs as I didn't see any. I walked back to the table with my plate full and happy with my choice even with no boiled eggs. As I was about to finish my plate I saw her holding two perfectly cooked boiled eggs looking for me amongst the many guests. I did thank her for going the extra mile for customer service. Something small but speaks volume so thank you again for being attentive
The place seems very short on staff, both the bistro/bar and the breakfast hall. The rooms are without AC though there was a sign in the room to say not to open the window as AC is on. The AC control in the room was definitely functioning. The hotel keeps patio doors on ground floor opened to let air in.
My boyfriend and I went to Knightsbrook Hotel for lunch and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order, and then another wait before the drinks arrived. A waitress took our food order, but after waiting over 40 minutes while other tables were being served, we still hadn’t received our food. I went to ask what was happening and was told that our order had never been put through to the kitchen. To be fair, the staff apologised and didn’t charge us for our drinks, which we appreciated. However, the long wait and the mistake with our food order meant the overall experience was very disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated incident and that improvements are made.
Not an enjoyable experience, Jazz is piped through every speaker at every opportunity, kids zone not open despite times being checked with staff who clearly know very little about the place they work in. Broken and missing tiles throughout bathrooms and mouldy shower mats. Very slow service for food, which is of a standard but not a very high one. Starter and main courses brought out long before children’s meals, food set on table in various stages and repeatedly had to ask for cutlery. Some meals were cold before the rest had arrived and the beer battered fish had to be placed on a serviette to soak up the oil that was literally running out of it. No manager on site to address any of these issues. In summary not the experience we were expecting but at least the loud drunken golf parties seemed to enjoy themselves right up the early hours of the morning when returning to their rooms wakening all on their merry way.
The food was nice.
It's so tired. It needs a whole revamp from top to bottom.
The reception staff were lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was very nice.
When we first got to our room, we were hit with the smell of puke. The manager came and said she couldn't smell anything and said sarcastically "the customers always right". She was very rude and dismissive and said they'd just try freshen the carpets. This just wasn't good enough. We went back to the room and maintenance said it was coming from the sink. Eventually we were moved to a different room. The showers were very weak and the temperature kept alternating between cold and boiling. The towels also left fluff all over us after drying.

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
8/10Mixed reports: several guests praised cleanliness but multiple reviews mention visible dirt at the bar, dead flies, mouldy shower mats and some wear/tear in bathrooms — overall slightly above average but with notable lapses.
Service
9.2/10Generally very positive: numerous comments about friendly, helpful staff and specific praise for reception/greet (e.g., Shane). Some isolated reports of grumpy or underinformed staff, but overall service is a strong point.
Location
9.5/10Very positive: several guests highlighted an ideal location (walking distance to Trim) and pleasant views (rooms overlooking the golf course).
Room Quality
7.6/10Mixed to below-par in places: some guests love their usual rooms, but multiple complaints about outdated rooms, exposed wiring, loose knobs, paint patches and other maintenance issues lower the score.
Amenities
9/10Strong on key amenities: spa and leisure centre receive excellent feedback; however some facilities (kids zone) being closed and issues with the bar reduce the rating slightly.
Value for Money
7/10Concerns noted: explicit comments about being overpriced, an unexpected €72 price increase and statements that rooms/facilities did not match cost — lowers perceived value.
Food and Beverage
7.8/10Mixed performance: some praise for food on certain stays, but several reports of slow service, orders not reaching the kitchen, cold or oily dishes and a dirty bar area bring the score down.
Overall Experience
9.1/10Overall guests report many fantastic stays (friendly staff, excellent spa/leisure, great location) but a minority of experiences were disappointing due to price, cleanliness or service lapses — net experience remains strongly positive.
