The Prince Karuizawa

Ottima vista sul campo da golf e sul monte Asama. Concierge vicino alla stazione per lasciare i bagagli e fare una passeggiata all’outlet in attesa della navetta o treno.

Questo NON è un hotel 5 stelle. Non ha alcun tipo di servizio (se non una navetta per arrivare alla stazione / centro commerciale e un bar self service al chiuso). La palestra non ha praticamente pesi (unico servizio “vero” in loco). Sulla pagina di Booking si pubblicizza chiaramente la presenza di una spa all’interno della struttura, peccato che le due spa siano presenti solo negli hotel Prince East / West, a 5/10 minuti di navetta. Inoltre, non vi è uno spazio comune all’aperto. Il bagno della nostra camera era vecchio e rovinato (solo vasca e per di più con tendina…), sicuramente non all’altezza di un hotel 5 stelle. Infine, quando siamo arrivati ci hanno chiesto se volessimo che rifacessero / pulissero la camera ogni giorno, cosa che in un hotel 5 stelle uno non si aspetta. Tutto questo pagando €400 a notte, in una cittadina piccola e con poche attività offerte oltre all’outlet vicino alla stazione.

環境優美，大廳很有質感，房間很大。10-20點1樓有lounge可以飲料、紅白酒香檳、點心吃喝到飽。

飯店本身沒有溫泉(都沒有評論和部落格提到），竟然要搭接駁車到其他兩館才能泡溫泉，很不方便。花這麼多錢結果搞得好像日歸溫泉一樣（西館溫泉也不如星野日歸）。然後之前寫信詢問有關於洗衣機的事，回答說有洗衣機，但是到現場，服務人員說要到西館，然後洗衣機也不在溫泉附近找不到。

The location and staffs are very accomodating. They have a Smiile right beside the train station and they can transport your things when you artive to the hotel and on your way back.

I like everything except for the soft pillows.

The view, the lounge, the car service.

There was a staff that was rude to my wife at the basement restaurant. We found an open safety pin on the floor. I have three kids and my son found it on the floor. It was dangerous.

景色がとてもよかった。食事の空間も素敵だった。ラウンジも部屋もゆったり過ごせてとてもよかった。

The view is good. Also complimentary services( drink and snack) at Library cafe is great. Nice bed. Pillow is too soft for me but great for kids

Hotel itself does not have activity in winter . No laundromat. No onsen. No buffet for breakfast. Breakfast menu might not be for kids.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very aesthetically pleasing. The room had a generous view of the mountain, landscape, and japanese garden. The compound itself is well serviced by a regular shuttle bus and the drivers and staff were always super helpful and professional. Onsen was super nice and you get to enjoy access to many nice onsen by staying here. One thing I really liked was the access to the lobby lounge which provided free flow soft drinks, local apple juice, coffee, beer, wine, and even snacks! Overall, you won't go wrong staying here. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Karuizawa.

お部屋は清潔でゴルフコースが見え、夜は木がライトアップされて綺麗な景色が見ることができ良かったと思います。スタッフの皆さんも親切かつ丁寧にいろいろ教えてくださったりと気持ちの良い滞在ができました。

お部屋は新しく感じたが、水回りは清潔なのですが少し古さは感じた。

部屋の窓から池が見えるのが良かったし霧の影響でいい雰囲気になりました。レストランも同じく全面窓ガラスだったので良かったです。あと、利用出来なかったですが...隣のウェストホテルの温泉が利用可能なのが良かったです。また、軽井沢のバスは遅くまでは運行しないため9時以降でもホテルに連絡すれば、駅の南口からホテルまで迎えに来てよかったです。

お風呂とおトイレの床が大理石だったので水が少しあっても滑りやすいので注意が必要です。対策としてのその分大きいタオルがあり敷いてから使いましたが今回の宿泊に幼い子供がいたので少し心配になりました。

スタッフの方が、優しく真摯に対応してくださいました。 そのお陰で、とても快適に過ごすことが出来ました。 車も臨機応変に出して頂き、ありがとうございました。 からまつでも、スタッフの方のプロ意識が伝わってきて、すごく勉強になりました。

部屋は広くてゴルフ場が見えるロケーションは最高でした。バスの利便性もよかった。

ラウンジの雑誌がボロボロだったことと片付けがあまりされていなかったこと。

昔よくバーに行っていましたが今でもその雰囲気が昔の儘でよかったです。

・コンセントの口が少ない ・ごみ入れの中にビニールが入っていないのでぬれ物などや水気のものを入れにくい ・折り畳みゲージラックがちょっと小さい ・パジャマにパンツがあるとうれしい ・季節の変わり目にいったせいか空調が暖房に切り替わっていて涼しくするのに止めるしかなかったのがこのクラスのホテルとしては残念 ・コンビニまでなくてもいいが別の棟まで買いに行くのではなく移動しないで ゆっくりできるように館内でもう少し買い物できるとありがたい

The hallway is very long to walk to the room, and the hotspring facilities need to be traveled by bus, a little bit complicated but the service for there is good.

温泉が館内にない、レストランが高すぎる、すごく古いのにお値段が高い、朝食のパンがおかわりできることを知らなかったので教えて欲しかった、この施設なら価格がもっと安くないと割が合わない

ピックアップバスがないときは車を手配くださってとても快適でした。ウェルカムサービスも良かった。ゴルフ場の借景も開放感があって良かった。

ウエストはコンビニがなかったのは残念。あと

木々に囲まれてゆっくりできました スタッフの人がなるべく荷物をお客に持たせないように気配りしていました 同じ系列のホテルがあり　温泉や食事会場が違うホテルに行くのがちょっと手間でした。 しかし朝食しかいただいていませんが食事の数が豊富で、座席もたくさんあり、他の席との間が広く、ゆったりと食べることができました

골프장뷰가 아름답습니다. 정원도 아름답고. 방상태나 청결상태 좋았어요. 아쉬운 점은 침대 매트리스가 허리부분이 꺼져있는 점, 이 호텔에는 온천이 없어 셔틀타고 이동해야한다는 점. 아 라운지 음료 무제한여서 좋아요. 생맥주도 제공.

２度目の滞在です。ザプリンスは大人向け、とにかくイーストやウエストと比較しても驚くほど静かな空間です。

Always a home away from home when travelling to Japan! Welcoming staff, always a warm fire and never too much trouble to ask for a lift back to the station. Have stayed here multiple times now and we look forward to rest and relaxation with the onsens and time spent in the forests of Karuizawa.

Nothing, but I do miss the Aragan body lotion you used to have in the rooms :-)

Used this hotel to break up a long journey. Staff all excellent and the onsen was really good.

Momiji spa was the best. The hotel is right in the forest, which I loved.

The proximity to the shopping mall and the hotel service.

It is too far from the spa. And we were being assigned to the ground floor rooms with outdoor entrance which was no good especially during summer. We therefore requested to move to the 2nd floor. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is too old and have to be renovated.

It was helpful to have the courtesy buses to get us to and from the town. We enjoyed the spa which was of a high standard, also the library area with complimentary refreshments and using the complimentary bicycles. The staff were extremely helpful.

The decor in our room was a little worn but everything worked perfectly.

Breakfast is amazing whilst the service level of the staff is wonderful. The facilities are a bit tiring but provides good comfort. Love the walk in the surrounding area. Great for a short bike ride.

The overall hotel and rooms may need upgrading. The welcoming drink idea is great but the area serving it is quite packed with customers.

軽井沢らしく静かで高級感のあるホテルだと思います。流石に施設の古さはありますが、気になりません。今時のラグジュアリーホテルがたくさんできていますが、この価格でこのラグジュアリー感はココだけでは？と、思います。

当初 宿泊ホテルに温泉施設があると聞いていたが、実際には周辺の系列ホテルに行かないと温泉がないと聞き不便さを感じた。

The view from our room overlooking the pond was beautiful. It snowed the second day we were there and it was magical watching it snow and hang in the trees. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Our room was warm, spacious and comfortable. The staff were lovely, always helpful. The drinks available in the lounge after 5pm were great. The food was traditional and high class service.

The rooms are a little dated but they are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is quite expensive but a traditional Japanese style with top class waiters etc. A less expensive buffet option may be better for some travellers.

Love the onsen and the guest services office where you can leave your luggage while you shop at their outlet mall. they even ship your luggage to your room before you check in.

Wonderful hotel and resort. The hotel architecture is wonderful. The hotel room view capture a beautiful snowy landscape with a lake. The view gave me a sense of tranquility with a cozy ambience. The hotspring was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. One staff even drove me from hotel to the hotspring site. I really appreciated the helpfulness. The Japanese breakfast was tasty and remarkable. The transportation to the outlet and train station is convenient

There is shuttle bus from station to all the hotels and ski resort/ hotspring /shopping centre so transportation is not a problem. The view at the room is fantastic. Need reservation for breakfast where you can enjoy a delicious meal with great view.

Dated Inconvenient location for the snow

It is pretty and with good location for skiing . It was the only ski place available when I booked

Everything is suuuuper complicated . They said they would let me pay online . Didn’t . They made me do bookings for skiing and spa in some obscure webpages in Japanese . Took ages to respond to e mails . My guests were not happy. The lessons are in one reception but the rentals in another and no one answers or gives directions, they don’t speak English . Should say they are a hotel just for locals maybe

Grand Prince is the quietest among all the Prince Hotels in Karuizawa. I enjoyed the quietness and relaxing atmosphere. The daily lounge facilities available to all guests from 10am to 8pm was great! The french dinner ( paid) was exquisite and reasonably priced.

The property itself is beautiful with fireplace. The free drinks and snacks at the library lounge is nice. The provide free transport to n from the ski centre.

it’s the furthest Prince chain hotel away from the station. You have to wait for the shuttle bus or call a cab. No drinks provided in the room as you have to have them in the library lounge. Minimal restaurant selection. No convenience store like the Prince West, no laundromat, no hot spring.

Free access to hot spring though need to take the shuttle. The hotel complex is big with a very good outlet.

If you wish to stay close to F&B and hot spring, better stay at the West.
