Hilton Garden Inn Rochester - University & Medical Center

Cleanliness and friendly staff

Restaurant closed very early

It was clean and nice

It was nice i love the room

Very nice staff and very clean

Everything about the Hotel and how convenient it was to get to Everything. It seemed as if Everything was no more than 11 mins away. I will definitely try to book here when I'm visiting my son. We were very comfortable.

Staff exceptional

I love this hotel and try to stay every time I visit my son at U of R

Convenient great food

Could be cheaper, Not charging for service animals

Great pool, resturant attatched with a great bar- friendly staff- clean high quality energy, beautiful fire pit and gym area. Had an amazing stay with some friends!

Nothing everything was great.

TV and remote didn't work half the time. The pool needs to be updated.

Walking distance to the UoR campus, nearby restaurants and CVS. Excellent location for UoR-related stays. Large rooms.

Location

There was only tea pods in the room and no coffee.

Very clean, location, good service, free parking

The mattress was squeaky with every movement. Can hear plumbing noises. This was on the third floor. Did not have this experience other times.

It seems that every time we stay here the price is going up between 80 and $120 per night Starting to get extremely expensive

The property is in a great location if you want to be close to the university and the hospital or even the airport

Although it does get super loud with police cars and ambulances, this is what to expect when you’re this close to the hospital. The only thing I don’t like is every time we decide to stay the price is always going up.

Beautiful / clean

A little expensive

I loved location it was a pleasure to walk to shops and breakfast and staff was outstanding. We were doing a college tour. Room was clean comfortable and the italian restaurant was SOOOOOO good.

Would have liked continental breakfast but not complaining.

Everything

Nothing

Location , comfort, room availability

No one took out our garbage during our 4 day stay , no exercise mats in gym

Nice spacious room. Great location. Friendly staff.

Nothing.

Location was great visiting the universities

Rooms were clean, but dated, bathrooms should have showers not tubs. Higher toilets.

The room was fairly large, The bed was ok, staff was nice.

The ambulances from the hospital can wake you, the carpets was heavily stained. The drain in the shower wasn't screwed down. Everything in the room cost money including what is normally a free coffee, and no free internet.

Not much

The stuff is unreasonable, even when I checked in, it showed I booked twice, they didn’t do anything and marked the other room as “no show” and charged me twice.

Great location. free parking&easy access. Nice big rooms. Clean. Staff friendly, esp. in the restaurant for breakfast buffet.

Feels like they are cutting corners. Little things like batteries in TV remote needing replacement, no pad/pen, no tag for room cleaning, really weak coffee.

It’s nice and clean.

The breakfast buffet was the worst.

Very convenient location everything around you! & breakfast was excellent great options and server believe her name was Donna and the cook Juan think that was his name were very very nice and got everything we needed and more! Also the two front text employees believe his name was Eric very awesome helped us with alot

Don’t have anything to say bad about here!

Room was a suite and it was huge. Very comfortable and luxurious

Hairs in the tub. The pull out couch had no sheets

Location is convenient. Clean rooms.

Not helpful when I had difficulty with connecting with WiiFi. Loud music was played next to our room and we were unable to sleep. Would prefer additional blanket in the room instead of calling for one.

False advertising. No shuttle, no room service despite BOTH being listed here and being reasonable I made the choice of this hotel. Had to spend the night hungry after a transcontinental flight because my child was asleep in the room and I didn't have another way to get food after arriving from abroad. And they charge extra for bottled water in the room unless you are some sort of club member... For a room that cost over 200/night? Gross.

Great location in Rochester! Rooms were clean and spacious

Fantastic and comfortable. This is where I’ll be staying whenever I’m in town.

Second visit here. Staff is terrific. Comfortable clean and affordable. Restaurant is fun.

The King bed in room 209 was EXTREMELY hard and uncomfortable. No mattress pad or pillow topper either, just a hard, worn out mattress.

Clean room

Always love my stays at Hilton Garden Inn!

Visited UofR and stayed here. Close to campus and medical school/hosptial. There are a few dining options right in the area. Property was sharp, and the room was perfect.

Wonderful caring staff!

Excellent Hotel, front staff friendly efficient and very professional! Top place to stay when visiting Rochester!!!

Pool was stocked with plenty of towels. Gym actually had weights! Front desk was super friendly

No conditioner in shower, wobbly toilet seat.

The staff abs service were great. My only issue was the shower, it doesn't have a lip so the water runs into the middle of the bathroom, but there were plenty of towels, so, not a big deal.

Shops nearby, very close to the university.

Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and modern. And the food was terrific. (Both the restaurant on the first floor of hotel, and the hotel breakfast.) We were also really happy with the location.

Great area to walk

Location

Stayed only for 1 night and I got room with empty gel and shampoo in my bathroom. Next day, I asked front desk for late checkout and they pushed only it 30min. (I'm Hilton Honors member) Paid $350 for 1 night. It's definitely not worth it.

Blood stain on comforter. Squeaking beds and door hinges. I have stayed here many times and it seems the quality of the facility is declining.

I operate two Airbnbs (in addition to my day job), so I am sympathetic to the challenges of cleaning. The shower had large clumps of long dark hair in the drain (in the center of the stall, so not easy to overlook during cleaning) and there was visible fecal debris on the wall around the toilet paper holder. I had two rooms reserved for myself and my son for more than $300/room (before tax). This was very disappointing and not what I expected.

Quite and clean

Na

Good location, but did not feel safe in surrounding neighborhood in the evening Room was spacious

Bad coffee awful pillows in the room. They had lost most of their fluffiness. staff responded to requests but often seemed more interested in their phones. Some of them downright lazy

Good

My favorite hotel when I am in the city. Everything is five stars location is perfect. A lot of dining places in the area and there’s a lot of doing in the city on the weekends.

Hotel was nicely situated for a visit to UR. Property was very nice. One note would be that Elevators were incredibly slow for the amount of floors.

Convenient location.

Free breakfast?

Overall it was a good stay. The location was perfect for our visit at Eastman Dental. The facility was nice but some of the details in the cleaning were missed. I always pull back mattress pads and sheets to check for bed bugs (which I did NOT find to be very clear). However,, one of the mattresses had body fluid stains on the corner and some odd crumbs under the sheet and on the mattress pad. I found those same type of crumbs on the sitting chair.

Good experience overall, I will definitely stay again

We were here for family wedding. This location was a convenient location, the rooms were clean and comfortable

We reserved a room about 4 hours before our arrival after a long day of driving. When we arrived, we were first told that there were no rooms available - even with a confirmation. Then witnessed a weird and unprofessional front desk discussion between employees. Finally resolved by one employee physically verifying the room was clean and available. All told about a 15 minute wait after a very long day of driving. Then we were told we could eat any snacks in the room - complimentary because of our wait. There were 2 water bottles, lol. Think they were already complimentary. Thanks! Overall, the place was clean, quiet and in a great location - just need to work on their guest reception.

It is very convienent to the U of R and most of the city and eastern suburbs

Big comfortable clean room, walkable neighborhood with lots of amenities, convenient from the interstate.

Way too expensive. Almost $300 per night. Insane.

Comfortable accommodations. Easy walk to hospital. Enjoyed dinner at Grappa.

Great stay, enjoyable space. Very clean. Worth it

The staff and restaurant on site was amazing! But the hotel was mid. The elevator was broken , the bathroom outdated and the amenities were mid
