Hampton Inn & Suites Rochester Downtown

Central location, clean, staff was great, dining was fantastic.

NA

Great location for what was needed. Staff very helpful. Included breakfast a bonus. Spacious rooms

Nothing

Very friendly staff, the newer hotel was great and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Coffee was not hot at Lily's restaurant.

Hotel was 3 years old. Super clean and nice. Concrete floors so no room noise .

Nothing

Location to strong museum of play

Clean and near the play museum

The lady who checked us in had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, period in over 50 years!!!!

Excellent location. On-site restaurant and all of the other hotel amenities you could want (breakfast, pool, fitness, etc.).

Enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean and the staff was available and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. The bed was amazing.

No parking on the premises. Had to use the overflow parking across the street. Just have to make sure you have everything you need from your car before parking. There was an issue with the TV in the room. Staff was there to assist.

Everything

N/a

Clean and gave towels

Small parking lot

Location and cleanliness

The parking situation, it would be nice to be informed at check in of the over flow parking ordeal

Loved the on-site restaurant, and the included breakfast was great.

Having to wait 30 minutes to check in! Some military personnel were ahead of me, and their check-in seemed complicated.

The hotel, and staff were amazing. The hotel is beautifully maintained.

The parking.

Breakfast, location, people, etc were well above my expectations!

Parking and having to pay 20.00 to park across the street in the museum parking garge but never even accessed the museum.

Closeness to highway exit and museum across the street

Modern bathroom upgrades

Very little parking available

The location and ease of access to our desired destinations. The day shift staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable.

Nothing

The check in process was easy, the room and bathroom were very clean, there was plenty of shampoo/conditioner/etc in the bathroom. The pool was way overchlorinated, my kids usually swim for hours, but they only stayed in for a little bit because their eyes were burning. More tables in the pool area would be nice. The workout area looked really nice, I didn't get a chance to use it, but it looked like it had everything you could need. The breakfast was good, my kids enjoyed the waffles, the eggs were good and I liked that there was plain oatmeal with the add ons which is my favorite.

I can't think of anything at the moment. The check in took a while because there was an extended phone call, so maybe a second person available to help check in at times would be helpful.

Close to our various destinations.

Need more parking lot space. I realize there is a parking garage next door where tickets are validated but in the winter time it’s nice to be able to park close to the hotel building.

The location, staff, amenities, food were all good . The Christmas decorations were really beautiful . The whole esthetics of the property is lovely.. The beds were clean and comfy..

The only issue was the lower faucet in the bathtub was not working properly so all the water was not coming out in the shower. We did report the issue to front desk they came up to fix it but it was still the same so hopefully they will get the plumber to fix the problem.!!

The room was very clean and well appointed. The included breakfast was good.

The bed was so high that I had trouble getting into it. The quilt was too heavy.

Nice room. Good breakfast. Kind staff, Nice balcony..

There are no sheets for bedding for the pull-out couch in the room. I ended up calling for bedding and pillows. The first time they brought one sheet. I called again asking for a blanket, and they brought two pillows, but they never brought a blanket. I didn't want to bother by calling again for the third time, so I lent my daughter my sweatshirt.

Free Breakfast is always a bonus and the restaurant & bar is a nice addition. The outdoor area was nice as well. Staff were professional.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I felt everything was perfect.

The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations. There was a huge variety of items and it was all quite good. The building was very modern and the beds were comfortable.

It was a little overpriced, in my opinion. The dinner menu at the restaurant in the hotel wasn’t great and the live music was too loud to be able to have a conversation.

It was very clean and walking distance to our destination.

It’s a little pricey.

Room

Excellent decor...very clean. Friendly staff

Steep price

The location and condition is very new

Taking a while to figure out how to connect wifi

Everything was good, but the price was raised very high for parents' weekend. The amount we paid was not appropriate for the location.

Very convenient to the Strong Musem of Play

Amazing stay. Very clean and accommodating.

THe staff was especially attentive. Ignatius (sp) made the time there very easy to enjoy by offering shuttle service and directions.

Very nice place.

Excellent restaurant and bar. Staff was friendly and top notch

great location so convenient to the Strong

Very clean hotel with a perfect location across from the musuem of play.

Love the downstairs bar!

This hotel was very clean and clearly managed well by the staff. Special shout out to Silas who checked us in and was very personable and professional, as well as the Manager Alyssa who was very helpful helping us explore a potential extension of our stay. Each person, from the young lady who brought out fresh coffee to the housekeeping staff were very helpful and kind, and that matters a lot for the guest experiences. The room itself was very clean with little touches like l rose in the Kleenex box that just made it feel special. They also welcomed my fur baby and they don’t use down pillows which was a relief!! This will be my first choice whenever I come to Rochester for a visit.

Great for families! Easy walk to the Museum of Play.

Wonderful amenities. Walking distance to restaurants and The Innovation Theater.

nice place

The carpet in the room felt a bit dirty on bare feet. We also found a mysterious pill on the floor. Concerning as our toddler could have found it. Overall good hotel.

L'accueil du personnel

Le petit déjeuner était absolument nul et la chambre mal faite. jamais d'aspirateur passé. La propreté de la chambre mérite d'être revue

Our room was not cleaned properly . Stale smell over all.

Best Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at! Staff were very friendly, excellent breakfast, the bar was very nice and the Thursday night jazz was unexpected and very good! Location was nice for the wedding we came in to town for. Also easy access to numerous walking/running trails!!

I only wish Lila’s restaurant was as good as before. Food was not good, service slow and you can tell the people where stressed out

Staff were friendly and infomative and helpful when approached. The morning buffet was open for both early and late risers and had a good assortment of options for all (especially kids), and I would also pack a bit extra to cover lunch/snacks for the rest of the day. The lobby was welcoming, connected to a restaurant/lounge with good food options for dining out in the evening. Rooms were clean, no signs of bed bugs during ou3 3 night stay. The pool was clean, quiet - fun for the kids - and again, open long hours. The gym looked great but I had no time to use with the kids around. Location was also directly next door to the Strong Museum which was fun for the kids. Overall, great hotel option!

Parking- small parking lot and one time we didn't have space - staff was great though because we then parked at The Strong Museum and hotel validated the parking the next day. Pool - my husband's only complaint was that the pool wasn't outdoors.

Was fine. Thanks

Friendly staff, very very clean, spacious rooms.

The breakfast was ok. Not bad but not exceptional. However, there were three hot elements to breakfast every day and on several occasions there was no hot offering other than toast that didn’t include meat. My wife is pescatarian so the best she was able to do on the days she could have anything other than boiled eggs and toast was scrambled egg.

We really liked the hotel. Clean, beautifully urban, great service, and a great location. I would have given it five stars but for the wi-fi situation: you needed to sign up fo the Hampton promotions program in order to get it for free. It felt like an insult, and didn't do it.

Very good, near all the downtown facilities

Cleanliness.

Breakfast - hard boiled egg was frozen and tasted bad.

Everything is well 😌

Clean

The hotel was easy to find, clean, and modern. I The rooms were very quiet and breakfast had a lot of options!

location

The staff were amazing. All of them. The gym was exceptional. Our room was clean and comfortable. We extended our stay with no issues.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay here as we were visiting the strong museum and Seneca Zoo. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the breakfast had decent options. Will definitely be back again

Family friendly!
