Great location and super friendly staff. Also, liked the history of the building. We got a large room and the extra space was very nice. The food and drinks at the restaurant was also very good!

The room could use some deep cleaning and basic repairs. Mostly the bathroom needs some TLC

The location was perfect, a fabulous ensuite, the decor of the room and restaurant quirky and tasteful with a great busy atmosphere. The staff very helpful and humorous and an excellent breakfast with many choices.

The scaffolding for the roof restoration was unfortunate but as they explained and apologised for, it was an unplanned repair.

800 year old historic building with all the charm and unique character that comes with age.

The hotel is very old and has been updated on several ways with the physical structure intact. The quality and thread count on the bed sheets was amazing.

The exterior was in the process of repair with scaffolding covering the front of the hotel. It was also covering our window in our room.

Breakfast was excellent. Already thought value of just the room was good but with the great breakfast included it just exceeded my expectations. Just across the street is a path that leads right to the cathedral too. Beautiful, amazingly located

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gute Lage, Parkplatz 2min entfernt. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Angenehm grosses Zimmer und grosses Bett mit genügend langem Duvet. Wir haben dort das Abendessen genossen, sehr gut! Tischreservation empfohlen.

Historic building in the centre of Salisbury. Our bedroom was large and although it was very old, it felt modern and was very comfortable. A good quality fan was included. Breakfast in the restaurant was great.

Reception was at the bar but we were able to leave our luggage there. Parking is a few minutes walk away - but we paid £10 for a parking permit which meant we could leave the car for 24 hours.

The hotel is situated opposite one of the entrances to the Cathedral precinct. The building itself is ancient with twisting stairs and corridors. Our room had oak beams and looked over the small courtyard. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is situated on a busy road and has no parking spaces but there is a public car park a short walk away. There is no reception desk, check-in is at the main bar of the very busy restaurant. There is no designated area for hotel guests and any pre-dinner drinks have to be taken perched on stools in the small area around the restaurant bar. The restaurant seems to have a S. African twist and the menu choices are "beef-heavy".

Central location, close to cathedral

The room overlooked the road, and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. The whole public bar a rea is set out as a restaurant with no lounge seating. We (4 adults) had a 6.30pm restaurant booking, and once we had finished our meal, we were asked to vacate our table for another booking. We asked where we could sit, and we were offered four bar stools at the bar. Our ages ranged from 67 to 75, and we had two rooms booked (£200 per room) for the night. Staff saw that we were not impressed and went away but returned soon after to tell us we could stay at the table as they had found another table for the other party.

Small room, but to be expected in a property of this age. Arrived too late for dinner, but the breakfast was great. Location was ok. On a busy road (but our room was at the back) and very close to the Cathedral.

No parking at the hotel, but an open-air car park was nearby. Had to buy a parking permit from reception.

Sehr charmante Unterkunft mit geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern in historischem Haus. Sehr gute Lage, nur ein Katzensprung zur Kathedrale. Öffentlicher Parkplatz ums Eck, 24h-Karten können im Pub erworben werden. Sehr gutes Pub! Gutes Frühstück.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr altes Haus mit entsprechenden Nachteilen: sehr verwinkelt, enge Gänge, schiefe und krumme Treppen, teils sehr niedrige Decken, Teppich im Zimmer müffelt zum Teil. Ziemlich warm im Sommer, mit den Ventilatoren ging es. Kein Aufzug. Nur Filterkaffee beim Frühstück (sonst Aufpreis)

Had a front facing bedroom which had a little traffic noise. It didn't disturb too much or too often. It's a very old building so the floors were slightly uneven, but I thought it added to its charm.

Top Lage. Spannend in einem so alten Gebäude zu übernachten. Es war sehr warm, aber die überall aufgestellten Ventilatoren haben für Abkühlung gesorgt.

Check in a breeze. Very helpful in directing us where to park. Very picturesque and romantic place to stay.

Uriges Gebäude, tolle Lage, das Essen ist für einen Pub sehr gut

Leider ist das Gebäude nicht für heiße Sommer geeignet. Insbesondere Raum 10 ist dann eine Zumutung: steht direkt in der Sonne mit relativ vielen Fenstern. Es lässt sich aber nur ein kleines Fenster öffnen und das geht direkt auf das Gebläse von der Küche, das nur von ca 1 Uhr bis 6 Uhr morgens nicht arbeitet. Dem Personal ist das Problem bewusst und es standen schon drei Ventilatoren im Zimmer. Aber ohne Kühlung hat das nur wenig Effekt. Eine Stornierung wegen inakzeptabler Bedingungen wurde vom Personal nicht akzeptiert. Immerhin bekamen wir in der zweiten Nacht ein Zimmer nach Westen (Raum 1).

Hotel un peu desuet, dans une maison biscornue où aucun plancher n’est plat ni aucune marche horizontale... C’est charmant, mais le confort est à l’avenant, plomberie capricieuse, chaleur etouffante dans les chambres, etc. Bref, pas le plus pratique ni le plus confortable des hôtels...

Our room was very comfortable and breakfast, dinner and the Bar were excellent. Always served with a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

Full of character and furnished to a high standard. There was no air conditioning and temperatures were high but there was a very efficient fan in the bedroom. Breakfast was nicely presented and plenty of choice. We had a little problem with our evening meal due to an ordering error by a new younger member of staff but he apologised profusely and even offered to pay for our meal himself. It was a genuine mistake on his part and his manner was so polite and friendly I have no doubt he will prove to be a valued member of staff.

Nothing we could fault but people with mobility problems may struggle with tricky stairs and no lift.

Urige Pub-Unterkunft, Zimmer super ausgestattet, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Locatie, vriendelijk personeel, gezelligheid, goede bedden en kussens, hygiëne. De locatie is echt geweldig; op een paar honderd meter sta je naast de kathedraal. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

De kamer was best warm (al had het personeel echt hun best gedaan om dit comfortabeler te maken met veel ventilatoren), maar op heel warme dagen is dit hotel niet echt een aanrader. Ook sliepen we naast de keuken waardoor we wat lawaai hadden.

Hotel con mucho encanto, destaca por ser una casa antigua magníficamente conservada y adaptada, ofreciendo un encanto único. La habitación estaba bien equipada y la cama era muy cómoda. Además, el baño era estupendo, amplio y completo, al disponer tanto de bañera como de ducha independiente.

Las escaleras un poco incómodas al ser antiguas y estar cubiertas por la moqueta.

Der Charme dieses uralten Gebäudes und die Lage 2 Minuten vom sehr ruhigen Cathedral Close entfernt. Frühstück war in Ordnung, wird frisch gekocht, und es gibt Obstsalat, Toast, Butter, Marmelade und Jam am Buffett.

Das Personal war leider nicht übermäßig freundlich und bemüht, vor allem der junge Mann an der Rezeption bei unserer Ankunft. Einen Parkplatz gibt es - entgegen der Ankündigung auf booking-com - beim Haus nicht, sondern man muss sein Auto auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz 5 Gehmimuten entfernt abstellen. Im wirklich winzigen Bad gibt es überhaupt keine Möglichkeit, etwas aufzuhängen: der Haken an der Tür ist schon vor längerer Zeit abgebrochen und nicht ersetzt worden. Die Dusche liefert Wechselbäder kalt-warm. Ich war vor 9 Jahren schon einmal hier und hatte das Haus als wesentlich besser, vor allem freundlicher, in Erinnerung.

Tolle Lage, ein Katzensprung zur Kathedrale. Freundliches Personal, tolles Abendessen, bequeme Betten, alles sehr sauber.

Es war alles super, nur der Balken im Zimmer hat dazu geführt, dass man sich automatisch immer in einer etwas gebückten Haltung bewegt hat. Für eine Nacht nicht weiter störend, bei einem längeren Aufenthalt könnte das etwas unbequem werden.

Incredibly hot room in summer and between 11pm and 2am there were loud appliances (?) running which made loud noises and woke us up frequently.

La storicità della dimora rende alcune camere non utilizzabili durante le giornate calde perché manca l’aria condizionata. Evitate la camera 10, finestra piccola, esposta al sole tutto il giorno, all’interno durante la notte non circola aria e ci sono almeno 30 gradi. Il ventilatore fornito fa quel che può ma è molto rumoroso. Inoltre la finestra si affaccia su un cortile interno con generatore molto rumoroso. Per fortuna abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte (senza dormire!)

Son emplacement très central, le charme de cette vieille bâtisse, la décoration soignée et surtout l’accueil et le professionnalisme du personnel. Les lits étaient très confortables et le petit déjeuner frais et succulent. Une mention spéciale pour les croissants !

Nice location , the staff was friendly and Nicoleta was the best host. She made us feel welcome and helped with directions to the major and minor points of view in town.

The stairs

Uriger Inn mit süßen Zimmern im Stil des vorletzten Jahrhunderts. Vielfältiges Frühstück, Eiergerichte etc extra zu bestellen. Super Lage, sehr zentral. Sehr sauber, gemütliche Betten.

Auch dieses Haus war sehr verwinkelt. Mit Koffern, wie wir sie auf unserer Rundreise dabei hatten, schon etwas kniffelig. Keine Aufzüge. Auch hier war es sehr heiß wie überall in Europa und die Engländer sind auf diese Hitze noch nicht eingerichtet, als keine Klimaanlage, nur Ventilatoren. Mit geöffneten Fenstern und den Ventilatoren ging es nachts einigermaßen. Wir hatten eine Badewanne im Zimmer, hübsch, allerdings etwas unpraktisch.

The vibe was absolutely great. The check in process super simple and the room was perfect. The stair case was a highlight for the kids and myself and the kids loved that their beds rolled slightly due to the slope. The bathroom was excellent and the bath was divine. The heritage of the building has been beautiful kept and restored in parts and it’s just delightful. Breakfast was also amazing!

The only fault I could think of was that a little fridge would be good - other than that honestly nothing to complain about aside from dinner was so booked out and it looked divine.

I know this is not the fault of the hotel, as we were visiting during a terrible heatwave, and since the building is a listed building, there was no air conditioning. The room was super hot, and it was impossible to decrease temperature even with the window open all night and the outside temperature dropping to 17 degrees. Therefore the hotel is not ideal if you are visiting during the summer months. Also the pressure in the bathroom was terrible, with the water switching from super cold to super hot all by itself.

That it is old and close by the town and the cathedral.

Heatwave. Windows could not open as guttering prevented it. No air conditioning We left at midnight. Totally unbearable.

A unique and old building (over 500 years old). It definitely has character as a result with fun, slanting, uneven stairs. Our room was also on a slant which added to the experience.

The property is located on a busy street. Our room was facing the street making for a rather loud stay. We happened to be there during a heatwave so our window needed to remain open to circulate the air. There are few places in England with A/C. All of this became part of our experience which we still enjoyed.

Das außergewöhnliche alte Hotel, indem man sich der Zeit zurückgesetzt vorkommt und dennoch super renoviert. Das Bad fantastisch renoviert. Das Essen ist schwer zu toppen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.
