Food was lovely I had a vegetarian dinner which was super
Jacuzzi broken so not available. An odd smell in areas of the hotel (my room but it cleared when I opened the windows).
All staff friendly but the reception staff Melinda and Christine were so welcoming and helpful above and beyond. Room brilliant very spacious and lovely view. Beds comfortable. Food delicious and reasonably priced. Good selection at breakfast.
The only things felt shower was dated and lift noisy and bumpy!!!. Nothing else to add. Location a little far to walk into town if you don't want to drive
Friendly staff, good food, spacious rooms
The hotel and facilities were really lovely.. I didn't get to have breakfast due to an early flight
A bit of a walk from the centre of Ballina, but not an issue really
Recently decorated bedroom and bathroom with cosy and comfy mattress and pillows. Water cartons provided in the room. Hairdryer had a diffuser attachment as an extra. Good TV channels. Nice staff. Very clean.
Noise in the late afternoon/evening from families living in adjacent building, but it wasn't too bad, and stopped by 9pm. The whole downstairs public areas are dated and in need of refurbishment, but perhaps there are plans for this. There is a mild but unpleasant smell in the public areas (drains?, damp?, mould?) I would have liked a better array of continental options for breakfast - there were no cold meats or cheeses, and fruit and yogurt was limited. The layout of the breakfast buffet worked well on my second morning when it was all couples, families and workers, arriving at different times, but I think it was challenging on the first day when they had a large group breakfasting all at the same time.
Staff were friendly hence why didn’t make it awkward about the over charge, I know it wasn’t much but if it’s booked under a price that’s the price not more
Firstly my booking was for 144€ when payment was taken they took 154€ Secondly my partner is pregnant and we were put in a room that was down the very end on the bottom floor were elevator was use to go up a floor then had to go back down stairs and right down to the end of hotel which partner found creepy and was sure she could hear things during night Thirdly while showering the water wasn’t draining and nearly flooded bathroom until I noticed once I stopped the water drain slowly emptied
All staff friendly helpful and went out of their way to ensure a lovely stay
I liked the fact you could use the facilities next eg pool and stuff. Love the river and little waterfalls next to it. The bar was amazing and the hall for breakfast was really nice.
Spacious room in a very nice calm environment. Nice breakfast. Great value for money
Gym closes already at 2100.
Nothing
The staff and the position to the centre were good
The breakfast was poor, very little choice , luke warm at best.
Location its nice and quiet. Had booked a room with a bath but the room had no bath a quick call to the helpful guy at reception and we git moved straight away without any hassle 100% for helpfulness
Nothing all was good
The staff were amazing
I asked twice for the heating to be put on in our room, but to no avail
Clean and near Ballina
Staff where amazing couldn’t do enough
I found this hotel exceptional, the staff, the cosiness the calmness, the spa it just ticks all the boxes. I would certainly go there again and I will be recommending this hotel to everyone and the restaurant was top notch. Very impressed with my experience.
All Good
Staff friendly food excellent
Comfortable beds
Overpriced with out breakfast
Excellent
Leisure centre
Bathroom was poor , old suite and Shower cubicle
The staff
Lack of tv channels
Excellent location
Was initially put in a pokey box room - not even a wardrobe for a 7 night stay. However this was quickly rectified by management the following morning and the next 6 nights were more than adequate.
Nettes Hotel mir freundlichem Personal.
Great value and nice staff
Dinner was not great, explained to server and was not charged. So I would class that as a positive attribute as there was no fuss. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Many thanks to Mikey on the front desk for letting me borrow his own fan and even gave me extra batteries...what a thoughtful and helpful young man.
It's a pity that the leisure complex is not connected to the hotel. As a disabled guest, having to go outside to access the complex is far from ideal,,,,it takes away from the idea of having a relaxing break.
We enjoyed our short stay here, good location, friendly & helpful staff, value for the money 👍🏼
This is good for family especially with kids. Everything is here
The leisure play area ,swimming pool, restaurant and the staff are so nice and approachable
Stunning modern and clean
Nothing
It was lovely stay Leisure centre was fabulous.
The food wasn't great. Breakfast was cold. Frogs restaurant food was horrible for the price. Kids food was so cold my kids didnt eat it. And our food took so long and after waiting the food wasn't what we ordered so disappointed. 😞
Staff was very friendly. Great location. Very nice leisure centre.
Big stain on carpet on first floor.
The hotel location outside the town of Ballina but don’t let this be a discouragement and the facilities of a leisure centre and local country walks given it the bonus. Was taken back by the price and was expecting what you get is what you pay for, but the hotel has a lot to offer. The second floor was unavailable to access and not sure if it was operational which gave a strange vibe but this out ways the positives.
The hotel bar could of been open and music session could be provided- though it was a Monday-Wednesday stay and it was late on our return (10.30 - ish) and a lot of the other guess were like ourselves touring the general area.
The staff were amazing. Alexa, Christine and all the other hotel staff were so professional and kind. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and flawlessly clean. We had a small function there. The venue, food and service was second to none. We will definitely be back
The hall carpet between the first floor bedrooms was badly stained, as if something had been dragged over it. A pity, because everything else was of high standard
Food was lovely x the staff was very friendly
U could hear everything on next floor. Breakfast was miserable after 9 o clock even though it didn’t end till 10
Property was lovely until we entered the room.
The room had a small double bed up against the wall on one side and touching the wall at the foot of the bed. There was a very small bedside table and a desk and television squashed into the end of the room. The TV was on the side wall and could not have been used if sitting in bed. The room would realistically have been small for a single. When asked the staff acknowledged it was the smallest room in the hotel and refunded but after driving 3.5 hours we were forced to drive another 1.5 hours to find alternate accomadation. The manager said we should have known from the photos but as with all photos it was strategically photographed to appear larger. Really disappointed that was to be a relaxing break became a stressful trip and ended up costing us a lot more money for a last minute booking in another area.
staff was very hellpful and friendly....
nothing.....
Magnifico hotel immerso nel verde
Great location, children loved swimming pool, food excellent and staff very friendly 👌
We found bed and pillows very uncomfortable ,children took double bed which left adults in singles, not suitable especially for my 70+ mother.
Beautiful hotel in lovely leafy surroundings. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Use of leisure facilities was an added bonus.
Nothing
The staff were exceptional!
Very very very expensive for a 3*
2 night mid week stay. Slightly tired decor in general but our room was a good size, clean and quite. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the bar one night. The menu read better, than it tasted. Kids meal better value than adults. Visited the pool a few times during our stay good size with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and ice plunge. I would return again.
Hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful
We recently stayed at TwinTree as a family and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel was exceptionally clean, welcoming, and very family-friendly, making it the perfect choice for a relaxing break. We booked the 2 nights family break. The room was spacious with bunk bed for kids, comfortable, and well-equipped, with plenty of space for all of us. We had the diner for 1 night included and breakfast for both mornings. Dinner was excellent, with a great variety of options available for both adults and children. Breakfast was fine, nothing too fancy. The swimming pool , steam, sauna was well maintained , facilities were clean and relaxing. The leisure centre is just in another adjacent building. It also has a kids play zone, a small one but does the job. just outside the hotel you can see the mini water falls which is very calming. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. and completely value for money. Highly recommended
We stayed at Twin Trees on busy August bank holiday weekend. We had climbed Nephin mountain and wanted somewhere close and nice to relax afterwards, so Ballina seemed like a perfect retreat. The receptionist was very welcoming. We had amazing overhead showers and a really great sleep in the huge bed! Sunday morning, after a good breakfast, we spent an hour at the leisure centre and were very pleasantly surprised to find an ice bath!! What a way to recover after the climb on Saturday. There is a sauna, steam area as well as a 15m pool and jacuzzi. We didn't hear a sound from the music playing at the bar on Sat night. One small annoyance, we had requested a top sheet on the bed.....they took this literally and left one on top of the bed, so we had to make up the bed again, but otherwise the room was clean. A quirky small but friendly hotel with everything you need. The grounds could do with some TLC but overall a lovely stay and we would definitely go back again.
Location is excellent, the customer service was top notch, premises clean and well kept and room Was very spacious and bed very comfortable
Nothing to criticise
Everything was above excellence
Weekend break in Twin Trees hotel at family reunion made most enjoyable by the lovely staff, every member we encountered without exception. Food was excellent. Rooms clean and spacious. Some areas of the hotel need a little attention but that did not affect our enjoyment. All the important things were done just right. We will be returning.

The lovely receptionist staff who checked us in and out, plus the lady who served us at the evening meal - she also assisted us for breakfast. All staff friendly and professional. Room was perfect- bed comfortable with adequate pillows, and bathroom clean and well stocked. A very enjoyable stay, thank you!
Everything the pool was fantastic 😊
Nothing
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Leisure centre and pool were very good. The evening menu was great, but breakfast was not so great.
Staff, food bar/restaurant and leisure centre all good
Our room 222,damp bad smell, outdated fixtures and fittings needs total reverb
I stay in this hotel once a year for work, it’s always a quick visit so I haven’t ever used the leisure facilities. Check in was easy, rooms were clean and tidy. Ate dinner in the bar and the staff were very helpful. A lovely lady working in the bar brought drinks outside in the sunshine and nothing was too much trouble. Will visit again next year.
Joli Hotel, confortable avec des chambles spacieuses. Bon repas, petit déjeuner correcte et personnel acceuillant.
Clean , spacious room , hearty breakfast , friendly staff
Nothing
All the staff were incredible and so friendly and accomodating. The room was comfortable and pool faciities great
Breakfast could be a bit more varied. No vegetarian/vegan alternatives to bacon and limited gluten free. Whilst a lovely hotel I would not usually pay this price for a 3*
Clean, spacious rooms, great leisure centre and beautiful location
Our room only had a small window to open and it was very hot - AC or a larger window to open on the first floor would have made the nights sleep more comfortable
