Food was very good and the staff in the restaurant were lovely

Live music was on till about 10:30, no warning about this and would have booked elsewhere had we known. Noisy kitchen fans and ducting as we were above the kitchen. We just wanted somewhere quiet to sleep and have breakfast. Room not particularly clean, especially fridge, bathroom.

Room was clean and comfy, with fridge, fresh milk and bottle of water. Bathroom was clean and shower was great. Breakfast was included and was yummy.

Friendly staff ,lots of parking ,great breakfast and location.

It was noisy at night due to being near a main road but we knew that when we booked . Room could do with a deep clean ,lots of stains on the carpet.

On a very busy road

The location for me was great, as was the breakfast choices and staff. The accommodation for my needs was fine.

It would have nice if the breakfast could have been earlier. The side entrance did look a little shabby especially the carpet. Being alongside a very busy road did mean there was a lot of road noise, but I soon got used to it after my first night.

That I missed full English breakfast on both days of my stay due to breakfast being served between 9am to 11am. I needed to be on site by 8.30am and my savings grace alternative was a bowl of cornflakes. Bit poor really... If I'd have known about it, I would have stayed elsewhere. 😔

A real find, the room was great and also had air-con, the staff were exceptional, parking excellent, position excellent, food both evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Great price too.

The bathroom although nice looking needed attention as the shower wasn’t working properly and water was coming out of both shower heads so reducing pressure and the waste water wasn't emptying as it should due to blocking I'd presume

Room we were given was dirty, and uncomfortable ( I kept banging my head on the sloped ceiling, even in the bathroom..) The manager was away on hols, and the staff couldn't help with the TV? ( I am in my 70 and with my grandsonzged 8?) We were not in the bar drinking, and only had the TV for the evening, which we couldn't watch, due to staff saying it is a new TV, so we cannot action the ITV channels while manager is away...The shower was really dirty so we didn't use it...

Troppa luce in camera, la notte arrivava dall’insegna e all’alba dal sorgere del sole, oscuramento assolutamente da rivedere. Colazione dalle 9 troppo tardi per chi viene svegliato alle 6 dalla luce e per chi deve rimetterei in viaggio. Camera con letti singoli molto piccoli e scomodi. Ho scritto allo staff per avere informazioni ma non rispondono.

The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped, there was a good selection on the menu for dinner. The restaurant was very busy so it is clearly a popular venue. There was a good selection for breakfast with fruit juice and tea/ coffee included in the room rate.

There was noting that we were not happy with.

It was amazing from the minute we were greeted the staff were all lovely always happy to help. We were shown to our room it was lovely and clean everything you would need was in the room the attention to detail was brilliant. Breakfast was lovely you had several choices for everyone. I even had a lovely member of staff help me out as a button had came off my outfit and she came to my rescue and saved my day. We were only doing an overnight stay but there were other customers there for meals etc and it all looked Amazing. We will deffinately be going back for another stay.

I didn’t stay at this establishment. On checking in they tried to charge me again for my room although I told them I had already paid on my Amex through Booking.com. They said it was because they get people who don’t show up yet I was there in front of them!!! I didn’t cancel but I went and found other accommodation instead. I will never attempt to use this place again. In fact they said they would charge me anyway for a cancellation fee £90. I would like Booking.com to recover this amount for me ( note I use Booking.com a lot and have never had this problem before, the hotels I stay at all say that I’ve already paid up through Booking.com.)

Their attempt to charge me twice! I walked out in disgust, these are not sensible people.

Location to Norwich was perfect. Breakfast good but would have liked toast and jam to be included as well. Having small bottle of milk and some water in fridge was nice touch,

We have stayed here on more than one occasion and it is always our first choice when in the area. Nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous staff.

A great location for visiting the Norwich area, being close to major road networks. A good selection of meals available served by friendly staff. A spacious room with private access so no need to go through the pub/dining area.

Breakfasts are served from 9am. A little late if you wanted an early start, although I believe a box was available on request.

Me and my wife have stayed at Sugarbeat a number of times now and we’re never disappointed- the room is always spotless, the staff are lovely and the food is exceptional.

The noise outside the room, but for one night stay it wasn't too bad. The place is lovely.

Staff were very helpful and excellent, the food in the restaurant was very nice and the breakfast was quite possibly the best English breakfast we have ever had.

One small minor thing was the toilet in the room had limescale build up leaving it looking not to the high standard everything else was. Especially in the bowl something that you shouldn’t expect. Maybe an oversight I am sure because everything else was superb and a good night’s sleep.

The bedroom in the sense thar the Kitchen extract was very noisy

Rooms were very hot and if you opened windows you could hear traffic on main road.

Sugarbeat Eating House is conveniently close to my destination. It is clean & a decent place to stay overnight. The cost is acceptable. The staff are welcoming & the food is good.

The only downside is that from any time after 4.30am the main road immediately outside becomes increasingly noisy with freight traffic. By 6am, for me, only fitful sleep is thereafter possible.

Me and my wife stayed over for one night and were very happy with everything, lovely polite staff 😊 lovely room with very good air conditioning and a really good breakfast, plus we had dinner the evening before that was very good 👍 Big car park too.We will definitely stay there again when visiting Norwich.

If you are extremely fussy I would say it's on a busy main road and you can here some traffic at times. It didn't bother us at all. We had a lovely stay.

Welcoming on arrival even though they were very busy, showed us to our room and explained the safety aspect of the low roof when in and of room which was fine. Bedroom was clean and good size room ( we had the Deluxe twin room) which had tea/coffee facilities and fresh milk in fridge with a bootle water. There hanging facilities for coat etc but did have option of and coat hanger for a blouse/shirt but as we there only there one night it really matter. Small TV was low so had to if laying in bed. Bathroom was clean with toiletries if needed Plenty of nice white towels, Nice shower but when opening the shower door it knock the roof when was marking the paint work which is a shame as mean a touch up of paint. Unfortunately our room had the extraction fan from the kitchen which we was told about when we wa shown to our room but did go of when they finished in restaurant, but could be a little annoying if you wanted have a early night. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding and hard good night sleep. We booked a table for dinner that night with friend and family good choice of menu and tasty. Breakfast menu was good, we had full English which hot on arrival, good choice fruit juice. Whilst having there was a car meet in car parking it didn’t concern us but if you needed get out of car park any earlier you had ask the car to move as there where few doubled parked. Overall great stay and will book again.

Good location ideal for my stay. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. One big negative is when I came to leave on a Sunday morning my car was completely blocked in with dozens of cars in car park. All spots and drive ways was blocked caused by some car meeting of some sort. Very nice English breakfast.

Lot of road noise plus floor boards creaked and could hear when anybody moved in corridor. In pub toilet no facilities to dry hands.

everything ,from the lovely paving leading up to a welcoming porch,on entering had a smiley warm welcome,room was very nice ,amazing breakfast.

Staff were lovely. Had a nice relaxed atmosphere but nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean, bathroom was excellent. Fresh milk, cold water and biscuits were a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent.

No negatives

It was in a great location and well appointed, the staff were excellent and did all they could to make my stay comfortable. The breakfast made up for me the night previous to keep in the fridge was tasty and generous.

There was a little too much light pollution for me. The walls could have been sound insulated a little better as I could hear conversations next door and “neighbours” walking around. I was mindful to keep my TV volume low due to this. Breakfast isn’t served until 9:00 but these are nit picking considering everything else.

Dinner was very nice. The fish of the day was fresh and beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast was good too.

It's a shame that the property is located next to the very busy A140 Ipswich Road. Traffic noise went on quite late and started early in the morning.

Clean and in a good area

The room we had was the manilow room the ceiling was sloped I banged my head a few times there were no warning signs which there should have been. It was painted all white and was not noticeable. The room was above the kitchen she said we would have noise from the fan till 9 we weren’t bothered we would be eating. The fan went off as she said but was replaced by another buzzing which we could only think was the fridge that went on all night then the fan came back on at 6 am we were not in formed so much for a lie in as breakfast wasn’t till 9 am.

Breakfast tasted great, and was good value for money with the stay.

No points for improvement

Whole Team are always very friendly and very helpful. Food always good value, plentiful and fresh. Stevie the owner always remebers you and prepared to go the extra mile.

noisy road, toiletries , biscuits not replenished had to ask for milk , toilet roll , water . limited breakfast menu expected a continental option also if one item was chosen from the menu that is all you got. no choice of bread i.e brown or white Had 3 evening meals which were OK , no vegetables on main meals had to be ordered as a extra side dish , service charge says is at the customers discretion but on one occasion we were prompted quite rudely to answer the question on the credit card machine i.e how much tip we were giving
