Gloucester House

It was clean and modern,

The b&b was excellent. The owners were lovely and friendly. Our rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. There wasn't a single thing to complain about.

Nothing

Beautiful and well equipped Lovely staff

Property is in a perfect location, spotlessly clean and decorated to a nice standard. Breakfass was excellent. We met the folks who run it and they clearly care very much that everyone enjoys their atay.

It felt a littt le overpriced but we cat complain as it is peak season. Everyone has to make their money while the holidaymakers are in town so we understand.

Very clean, extremely welcoming, great value for money. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were lovely.

Perfekt

Gloucester house was fantastic. My husband and I booked a night away for my birthday. Communication with Jonathan prior to our stay was excellent - particularly concerning my coeliacs disease related breakfast questions. Amazing seafront location, wonderful views, informative and welcoming staff upon arrival and throughout, very clean, comfortable bed, and fantastic breakfast.

The only thing was arriving on a sunny day to Weymouth in August meant we were looking for parking for a long time as there is no designated car park. So if that is an issue for you, a peak summer time stay is not ideal.

Amazing staff; amazing location; amazing breakfasts.

Nothing at all.

Fantastic place to stay, John and Karen were amazing hosts and made us feel welcome, the whole place was spotlessly clean and the breakfast selection was vast, thank you

Very clean and comfortable

Nothing to dislike

Gloucester House was wonderful and the hosts were so welcoming and incredibly thoughtful. We loved our stay here and highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

The only ‘difficulty’ was parking (because of the location of the hotel) but the hosts communicated clearly how to make it as easy as possible. It did not affect our stay at all.

Rien.

Prachtig gebouw. Zeer schoon. Eigenaren en personeel zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt fantastisch. Geweldige lokatie. We konden bovendien een parkeerpermit gebruiken.

Sehr sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Mit Herz und Leidenschaft dabei!

Beautiful hotel with great hosts

Location, building itself and very helpful host

Only room available but I should have preferred a sea view - next time

Flott beliggenhet, fint hotell. Rent. Utmerket frokost!

Everything the hosts was brilliant very helpful and friendly the cleaning staff was hard working and willing to put themselves out to help you the rooms was kept clean to the highest standard and the breakfast was very very good

Nothing everything was perfect in the accommodation

Beautiful seafront property. Comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast. Big shout out to Jonathan and all of the staff at this hotel. They make you feel so very welcome, nothing is too much trouble and we felt as though we were at home. Rooms lovely and clean and I had one of the best nights sleeps Iv had for some time. No complaints, deserves its perfect scores, thank you from the Yates family.

Zero complaints.

Excellent location. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms very comfortable and well equipped and the decor was wonderful. Jonathan and his team provide a first class service and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was wonderful

Jonathan and Karen made us very welcome from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly had to head for home. Our room was excellent, spacious and spotless. The Dorset breakfast was superb. Highly recommended.

Nothing. Our stay was faultless.

Terrific location and wonderful owners/hosts

The pillows.

Location. Close to everything in Weymouth. It is amazing to look out on the beach and sea. Jonathan was lovely and allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and generous

Nothing

Lovely couple who greeted me and my partner upon arrival. Went above and beyond to provide alternative milk for my partner. Showed us straight to our room and informed us of good places to go and what to do while in Weymouth.

lovely owners, location, comfy beds, sea view

a bit pricey for value

Such kind and welcoming hosts, excellent hospitality all around. Very quiet stay considering it was a bank holiday weekend. The whole experience was blissful, will definitely visit again and for a longer period.

Period feature, wonderful people and great service. Plus the location is second to none

Nothing

Immaculate and just opposite the beach. A lovely spacious room with comfortable beds and a beautiful en suite. Jonathan and Karen gave us a warm welcome and surprised our Jack with a happy birthday banner, card and bags of Haribo sweets! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We will be back ! Thank you for a fabulous stay! Angela, Sarah, Delilah and Jack xxxx

Lovely place to stay in Weymouth. Good location just next to the esplanade and beach. And most of all, a very hospitable host.

Nothing really

The whole property is decorated beautifully, location is perfect and breakfast was amazing!

Very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast

Beautiful b&b with very accommodating hosts

Brilliant location. The guest lounge was beautiful. The owners were so friendly. All of the staff at breakfast were attentive. One lady in particular was so helpful, showing us on a map where we needed to go and giving us useful information. Fantastic customer service. Bedrooms were lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. An exceptional breakfast selection.

Everything from the meet and greet from Johnathan and Karen,an immaculately clean hotel,a sumptuous environment, 10 out of 10 breakfast.

Nothing comes to mind as everything was provided for.

Bright, clean and friendly. Nice residents lounge, great room, breakfast excellent.

This place is absolutely stunning throughout, the decor is luxurious, the bedrooms are comfortable, well equipped with a perfect view of the sea. Location is excellent, entrap to town and a short walk to the harbour. The breakfast was faultless, with lots of choice and high quality produce. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, relaxed and knowledgeable of the area. The lady that served us at breakfast was so lovely, and very attentive. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Absolutely nothing!

Good choice of breakfast

Breakfast was amazing. The stay overall was pretty nice. Thank you!

Breakfast was excellent

Fantastic hosts, friendly & couldn’t do enough to make our stay 10/10. Great accommodation, clean, comfy & an amazing breakfast. The best location, so near to the station & all amenities.

We loved the elegance decor linen and the ambiance and location. The 5* breakface. Comfy beds.

Nothing

Great staff and very helpful in assisting me with parking and hotel access.

Room was tight, but functional.

The host (Jonathan) kindly relocated us to a ground floor room as we had SO MUCH luggage. He was very helpful in giving suggestions of where to go. The property is right on the Esplanade and a short walk to the bar/restaurant areas. The only potential issue is parking, but we found a spot very close to the hotel and the host gave us a permit for it. Breakfast was stellar as well.

Extremely friendly and well designed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was exceptional.

Absolutely nothing.

Lovely hosts. Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable beds. Amazing breakfast.

Nothing.

Warm Welcome, Ideal Location, Very Comfortable Room, Excellent Breakfast, Immaculate Decor Throughout.

Jonathan and Karen were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. The staff serving at breakfast were also great being both efficient and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with a full range of options including fresh fruit, muesli etc. Good cafetiere coffee as well.

Everything, location and character and the attention to detail.

No parking but that was expected due to location, and the hosts provided plenty of advance info to assist.

Super clean and friendly

Very central and awesome breakfasts! My room was cleaned while having breakfast which was amazing!

Really lovely property. Jonathan was good with his communication before our stay and the questions I had. Jonathan and Karen were very welcoming. Excellent breakfast.

Nothing. It was all great.

My parents had the most wonderful stay at Gloucester House. They were welcomed by such a wonderful host. They come to Weymouth often, and Gloucester house is now their favourite base!

Nothing, everything was exceptional

Arrival was prompt and very informative. Jonathan and Karen greeted us with smiles and everything we needed to know. We were given clear communication about the stay and the local area. Gloucester house is very clean , well laid out and spacious. It has a great feel to it . The room was perfect for us and they had even laid out balloons , banner and a bottle of processco as it was a birthday celebration. We all slept very well for a front facing beach stay it was quiet and warm. The bathroom touches (soap shower gel and shampoo was a very handy touch as was the fresh water biscuits tea an coffee ) , a fridge in the downstairs lounge is also available 24 hours a day with fresh milk. Breakfast was 10/ 10 ample choice and fresh produce. The help yourself bar had everything from pastries to fresh fruit and overnight oats. The juices were fresh and tasty. Coffee or tea offered as soon as we sat down. All in all round uo of the stay ... welcoming, knowledgeable and kind hosts , fantastic breakfast, clean accommodation and picturesque location. Would i return ?? ABSOLUTELY :)

Location, comfort, cleanliness, delightful staff, wonderful breakfast.

Nothing at all

Location excellent, bed fantastic and room absolutely spotless! It clear the owners are passionate about their establishment

Nothing (except I had to miss breakfast due to an early start)

Man merkt in jeder kleinen Ecken herzliche Details.

The owners Jonathan and Karen greeted us on arrival , and from that moment on and throughout our stay were extremely welcoming and friendly . They even went as far as to congratulate us on the morning of our wedding anniversary when we came downstairs for breakfast and led us to a specially decorated table and brought us complementary champagne glasses with sparkling wine and orange juice . A very kind and considerate gesture which we very much appreciated .

Nothing , everything was perfect .

The location is fantastic, right opposite the main beach and close to the centre and amenities. The whole place is beautifully decorated and very clean. Very easy check in and out. Our room was lovely, a lot of thought went into the little details that make for a comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Very friendly owners and staff

Excellent decor, facilities and furnishings - all done with a very professional eye. Staff also a credit to the business.

Very little! Shower didn’t run away too well but that’s the only negative I can think of.

Gloucester House was a fantastic B&B, Jonathan and Karen were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious and was of restaurant standard. The rooms were nice with an incredible view of the sea but on the slightly smaller size but to be expected of a townhouse building. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Nothing.

Arrived early in morning and room was already ready. Beautiful place and very clean. Lovely staff

Access to beach and town, and reasonably priced car park. Also close to the railway station if required

We loved it. Not suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs

Met the owners upon arrival. Lovely couple that were very informative, reviewed the property, how the main gathering room is handled and how breakfast runs. He showed us to our room and went over everything. We stayed 2 nights. He recommended several qrea restaurants. The breakfast was great. Very efficiently handled. Room dies have air conditioning. Beds were very comfortable. The only two negatives are 1. No elevator and lots of steps. 2. Parking and unloading not the easiest. An unsecured lot is behind hotel that offers free over night parking but space is limited. They let you know this in the instructions when you book so they give you heads up and options. Otherwise and great B&B!

The hosts were absolutely lovely and kind when we walked in, and they were lovely throughout the stay. The room was amazing and would definitely recommend again!

The location is minutes away from main attractions! The staff are profesional and kind! Breakfast excellent!!

Great location, super clean. Breakfast was fabulous and super generous portions.

Our room for 4 was a bit cramped. Perhaps our kids were a bit big! But they had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy.

Super friendly and helpful hosts, great location and guest house was really inviting and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Great property - clean & well-maintained, lovely staff, excellent breakfast, very convenient location.

Only one thing which is entirely beyond the control of the owners of Gloucester House but there are some very noisy motorbikes that race up the esplanade late at night.
