We stayed 4 nights at Ascott Heng Shan Shanghai and had a fantastic experience. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax after exploring the city. The staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay, and because it was my wife’s birthday, they even prepared a small surprise for us, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

We had read some negative comments about the breakfast beforehand. While it is indeed quite simple, we found it perfectly adequate and enough to start the day.

The close proximity to the Heng Shan subway station, the quiet environment and spacious and clean accommodation.

At check-in, the staff did not share details such as venue for breakfast, how to reach guest services or recommend nearby places to eat (even when it was already dinner time). I would expect the information to be provided readily to guests upon check-in. Other than the staff who assisted with the luggage and presented us with a box of chocolates, I do not find the staff very welcoming and was somewhat disappointed.

Peaceful . I stayed in a 2 bedroom flat by myself because my son and his family wanted me in the same residence . They were down the corridor. So it was definitely spacious and peaceful being by myself in a decent amount of space.

Breakfast - very limited and poor quality Flat appeared to be run down and not looked after well. Which was a shame because the 2 bedroom flat is a nicely laid out flat.

The hotel’s location is great, right next to Yong Ping Lane, which is a lovely spot for a cup of coffee or dining. The staff speak English very well and are always ready to offer help and support without even being asked. And they kindly upgraded our room to a more larger one.

Concierge was super friendly and helpful! You can order from Meituan and it will be delivered right to your doorstep! Also, the hotel is quite clean and they have a drying rack which means you can have fresh clothes daily! Will definitely same here in the future.

早餐环境一般，煎鸡蛋的负责人对餐厅的服务员沟通时显得吵闹。 住了6 天，吃了6餐早餐都一样，餐单没改变。。

Everything is simply perfect. Spacious, well designed, functional apartments. Immaculate reception, perfect productivity of all Ascott team members. Location is not touristic in the best possible way. Every part of a charming Xuhui district is at walking distance.

Everything was amazing, the only minor issue was that the pan in kitchen set wasn’t truly universal. Would be great to see skillet, some good wok and non-stick grill pans:) but of course it’s really not a problem

The breakfast gives limited choices

Located in a quiet area with lots pf greenery, yet is surrounded by cultural and historical places. Very good restaurants near by. Staff is very helpful, polite and sincere. Spacial apartment to reside and rest. Clean and tidy. Utensils in the kitchen are clean and new.

It would be better if the water pressure of the shower is larger. Breakfast can be better.

when we first check in the room, there is a cigarette smell, the house cleaning had to bring an air purifier. also the 3rd day, the room was not cleaned till much later in the afternoon.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the former french concession, 2 min walk from Hengshan Metro station, in the middle of bars and restaurants. Set in large gardens between Hengshan Lu and Wulumuqi Lu, the hotel is quiet and the room has a wonderful balcony. Rooms are more like apartments and are well equipped. The gym is a bit small and we had no time to use the beautiful pool. Staff are very friendly and very helpful

Breakfast choice is OK but not exceptional. The breakfast room could do with some re-decorating as it looks dated.

It's a luxury hotel in a quiet area with a lot of hidden shops and restaurants nearby to choose from.

Place is big, clean, modern, convienent location next to subway; cannot go wrong staying here. Washer and dryer is every unit as well.

This hotel is in a perfect location in the French Concession. Quiet, clean, modern and with a great staff who is helpful and couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast had a lot of choices. This is a full breakfast, not continental breakfast and the staff will make eggs to order. The rooms are spacious and clean and having a washer/dryer is an added bonus. The full kitchen would be great for families especially. There is a beautiful pool area and complete gym. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
