The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The fa ilities are great. The hotel has a full kitchen and the rooms, whilst basic dis the job.

The cleanliness could be a bit better but given the age of the building it probably needs renovation to fix it. However the hotel was overall as to be expected for the price.

W hotelu byłam rok temu i wróciłam przez to ze lokalizacja jest blisko Victoria park gdzie był festiwal. Nie oczekiwałam cudów, tylko mozliwosci skromnego noclegu. Personel miły, ciepła woda pod prysznicem, minimalizm na krótki wyjazd.

Mam cztery ugryzienia. Nie czytałam wcześniej najnowszych komentarzy, gdyż nocleg uznalam za 'sprawdzony' podczas poprzedniego pobytu. Czułam ze wiem na co sie pisze. Jednak pogryzienia sa dla mnie niedopuszczalne. Wszystko wskazuje na to ze hotel ma pluskwy. Sprawdzałam materac tylko z brzegu i nic nie widziałam, pościel wydawała sie czysta, ale wiadomo ze robaki mogą przemieszczac sie między pokojami. Dodatkowo pleśń w łazience jest obrzydliwa. Teraz boję sie ze mogłam je przywieźć ze sobą.

When you look at the value for money and what that gets you here, honestly I was stunned. £106 for 2 nights on the bank holiday weekend with a big event in area is amazing. With that, the room exceeded my expectations, with an en-suite bathroom/shower a small area alongside the bed that is more than adequate for a short stay factoring in luggage and space to change. The communal kitchen was incredibly well stocked with an oven, fridge/freezer and even cookware. On top of that, there was cereal, eggs, snacks, tea and milk, spreads and all the other essentials provided at no extra fee. Comfy bed, working TV, a fan,

Out of everything the biggest concern I had was security, it wasn't a significant issue however I feel it's something that could easily be improved and give you that extra little bit of comfort. My rooms window wasn't able to be closed I wasn't sure if it was meant to be like that or if it was broken but it did mean that it would be rather noisy at night, I'm a heavy sleeper so it didn't impact me too badly and it's also not something I raised during my stay.

Price, location, receptionist was friendly

Whole place including reception is very dirty.. dirty walls, dirty carpets and of course our room. Shower door was broken, you could smell cigarettes in place..

The bedding and towels were fresh and clean. Hosts were very helpful and the location is ideal for Victoria Park and close to tube connection into the city.

Friendly service, good value, and a comfortable place to have breakfast. There’s a well-stocked grocery store right next door. Very convenient location - 5 minutes from the Bow Road subway station and the Bow Church DLR station.

Plenty to eat for breakfast, which we prepared ourselves and cleared up afterwards. Man at reception very pleasant.

We checked in late at night, and the caretaker helped us carry our bags to the room. However, the room was stuffy, dirty, and outdated, so we couldn't bring ourselves to sleep there, we decided to step out and go for a night out instead rather than stay in. We ended up looking for accommodation elsewhere for the rest of our days in London. The bathroom was tidy, but the overall facility is outdated and tired, it really needs renovating, with amenities updated throughout. I wouldn't recommend one to stay. The one real highlight is the location, which is easily accessible to and from the city centre.

I only needed a roof above my head and this hotel was enough. Location was OK considering we needed to access London stadium. The staff at reception was fine.

Dirty and old 'hotel', looking more like a shared house. The kitchen was dirty and it was not clear what we can cook, what options we had. There was not much choice, we decided to eat elsewhere. The room was extremely small, dark and dated. We could not lock the door from inside. The bed was uncomfortable. My friend ended up seeing the doctor due to bed bugs. Too expensive for the facilities, lack of space, dark, this should be 1 star accommodation and the word 'hotel' should be removed from its name.

Bon accueil, personnel présent sur une longue plage horaire et disponible. Linge de lit propre et frais, chambre assez spacieuse. C'est très honnête pour un logement à Londres. Rare endroit abordable qui restait dispo avec chambre individuelle et wc/sdb indépendants (réservé 6 mois avant!). Supérette juste à côté.

Le wi-fi ne fonctionnait pas, il manque un meuble pour poser nos affaires dans la salle de bain. Quelques travaux d'amélioration pourraient être fait.

I stayed at the City Lodge London from June 22nd to June 24th, 2026, and it was a dire experience. The hotel is infested with bedbugs, resulting with one of my travel companion to be bitten, and forcing all four of us to apply a strict quarantine protocol with all our luggage to prevent further contamination on our way back. Beyond the bedbug issue, the overall state of the hotel is dismal. It is completely run-down, the carpets are extremely dirty, showers are filthy and the entire place is not maintained. And there is no air conditioning, the fan being but a small solace as we faced a major heatwave... To make matters worse, when we confronted the manager, he admitted that they had already dealt with bedbugs before (6 months ago), claiming it is a "recurring problem in the hotel industry." He promised us to ensure that an expert will come and check out the situation, but one week later (and despite a follow-up email) we have received no response. This is completely unacceptable and does nothing to address the lack of hygiene in his own establishment. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

Breakfast was ok if you liked the limited items available.

The room was not suitable for 2 people and we were not aware that the place was a hostel. The window was too small with absolutely no air coming through when open. It didn’t help that it was a heatwave. It was so bad that we only stayed one night out if the three we had booked. We had to spend over the odds to get a different hotel with air conditioning and better facilities.

Muy bien comunicado al centro para hacer turismo por la ciudad. Perfecto para ir al estadio olímpico de Londres a algún evento ya que puedes llegar andando en poco tiempo.

Mijn kamer lag direct aan de weg, op 300 meter van een politiebureau. Dat betekenden dat ik geregeld wakker schoot in de nacht. De hittegolf was iets waar niemand iets aan kon doen, maar daardoor kon ik ook de ramen niet sluiten, en doorluchten wilde ook niet, waardoor de hitte enorm bleef hangen en mijn kamer beduidend warmer was dan de andere ruimtes.

Muy limpio, accesible, buen internet, smart tv y personal amable. Instalaciones cuidadas y para repetir, con el metro a 5 minutos y un supermercado pequeño pero con lo necesario según sales del hotel a la derecha. Además la zona es tranquila y con ambiente por la noche.

La struttura è vicina alla metro, alla stazione ferroviaria, alla fermata della national express, vicino ad un supermercato e piccoli fast food, la reception sempre attiva, addetti cordiali e disponibili. Lenzuola ed asciugamani pulitissimi. Previo pagamento mi hanno tenuto al check out lo zaino consentendomi di visitare Londra senza ingombri. Colazione gratis per tutti gli ospiti.

Vom Hotel aus kam man sehr gut und schnell in die Innenstadt. Das Frühstücksangebot war reichhaltig. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Badezimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen und war an einigen Stellen nicht mehr richtig sauber. Im Zimmer war ein dicker Teppich verlegt, der wahrscheinlich auch nicht gut zu reinigen ist.

My husband booked the room for myself and my autistic 10 year old. On looking further at the hotel, I realised that the facilities were not suitable to accomodate my child. The hotel refused any cancellation or even any small refund and I had to book elsewhere. From the reviews and photographs, the hotel looks dirty, very tiny and enclosed rooms, with the addition of a very noisy road outside in this heat would have been extremely distressing for her

A casa de banho precisa de mais cuidado em relação a mofo. Região consideravelmente mais perigosa, é importante andar atento pelas ruas.

El personal es muy amable y una de las personas que nos atendió, habla español, incluso un poco de catalán. Aunque las instalaciones necesitan una buena revisión, el precio es económico y está muy cerca del transporte público. Se puede utilizar la cocina para desayuno y cena. Es de agradecer.

Bien ubicado (vía metro y bus), el desayuno estaba bien (cereales, tostadas, fruta, galletas, huevos) y el personal era muy agradable. La habitación tenía lo necesario para pasar unos días y estaba limpio. Tiene varias paradas de metro y bus cerca, supermercados, y pubs.

La cama un poco dura, pero por lo demás bien. La cocina se puede utilizar durante la mañana pero no cocinar durante la noche, estaría bien si se pudiera cocinar para la cena, no obstante, está disponible para cenar y calentar en el Micro durante la tarde-noche.

OUR STAY WAS GOOD, NORMAL AND TYPICAL ROOM, PROPER HEATING, SHARED KITCHEN WHERE WE WERE PROVIDED WITH THE BASIC ESSENTIALS (MILK, COFFEE, EGGS, COOKIES ETC.) FOR OUR BREAKFAST AND A FRIDGE. THE BUS STOP IS VERY CLOSE AND HAS A METRO A FEW MINUTES AWAY. THE HOST (HOUSSΑIN) WAS KIND AND GAVE US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR. THANK YOU, WE WILL COME AGAIN WHEN WE VISIT LONDON AGAIN!!!

Buona la posizione rispetto alla stazione di Bow Road e ai Minimarket

Pulizia inesistente, moquette sporca, tanta polvere, davvero un orrore da abitare per più di una notte. Letto scomodissimo, da mal di schiena perenne e notti insonni. Per la colazione si ha a disposizione la cucina, sicuramente attrezzata col necessario ma anche questa sporca. Strada rumorosa, ma non è ovviamente colpa della struttura.

The location was great, with easy access to the Dlr station, bus stops and convenience stores serving till late hours.

Very racist staff. Being of black ethnicity it's very sad to say I have never been received sooo poorly. I observe that the Bangladesh staff operating there are much nicer to other races. DEFINITELY MY LAST VISIT THERE! The night staff lied often like damn, it's that bad..im usually likeable and easy going so im right to say those guys need a wake up call. Im out. Don't bother booking there is my advise to anyone who values honest customer service. Goodluck booking guys!

Hussain fue súper amable, ayudó en todo y un punto muy positivo es que habla español. En cuanto a la habitación es un poco pequeña, la limpieza no es su punto fuerte pero en relación calidad precio no está mal. La ubicación está muy bien porque tiene conexión con el autobús que va directo al aeropuerto así como con el metro que está a unos 9 minutos andando. Además, hay muchos sitios para comer cerca, a parte de un supermercado justo al lado del hotel. El desayuno también está bien. Hay pan, plátanos, galletas, cereales y leche.

Podrían mejorar la limpieza de las habitaciones, el cuarto de baño está deteriorado y la primera impresión es de poca higiene. Además, podrían poner algún armario o mueble más ya que solo hay uno pequeño y puede ser insuficiente. Destacaría la poca insonorización de la habitación ya que se escucha a las personas cuando van andando por el hotel (el suelo cruje) así como el ruido de la calle.

Quarto com bastante humidade e mofo, cheiro de mofo bem forte. Compensou por o custo ser bem inferior a outras opções melhores, porém se voltasse no tempo eu investiria em uma acomodação superior.

La ubicación es excelente, ofrecen algunas cositas en el desayuno básicas, pero perfectas, puedes hacer uso de la cocina común y comprarte más cosas en los súpers que hay cerca si te apetece. El wifi es gratuito y funciona genial. El personal es muy amable y te pregunta si necesitas algo cada mañana.

El precio me parece un poco elevado para lo que ofrecen, no hay ascensor, el edificio es un poco viejo y no del todo cuidado, pero para dormir, desayunar y estar bien conectado con el resto de londres es perfecto. Además el personal se porta muy bien.

Für ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad ist der Preis in der City Lodge London unerreicht. Zudem ist die Unterkunft vom Flughafen London City optimal mit der DLR erreichbar und nur ca. 150 Meter schräg gegenüber der DLR-Station „Bow Church" gelegen. Besser geht kaum! Mein Zimmer mit Bad war ausreichend groß, sauber und genügte voll und ganz meinen Ansprüchen, da ich es eigentlich nur zum Schlafen benötigte. Die Anbindung zur Stadt ist sehr gut: DLR-Station „Bow church" (3 Minuten Fußweg) und die U-Bahn-Station „Bow Road" (8 Minuten Fußweg) sind nicht weit weg! Zum Frühstück kann ich nichts sagen, ich habe den Frühstücksraum nicht genutzt.

Besser geht immer, aber (um es mit einem Bild zu beschreiben): Sie erhalten hier für wenig Geld einen sehr guten VW Golf! Sollte Ihnen das nicht genügen und wünschen Sie einen Mercedes oder Porsche, müssen Sie halt das Vier- oder Fünffache an Geld hinlegen ...

La salle de bain était un peu petite ainsi que l’évier il fallait se pencher pour y accéder. Il y avait énormément de calcaire sur les parois de la douche. La moquette au sol était un peu vétuste et pas propre.

No cooked breakfast and - worse - no facilities in the rooms for making hot drinks. These two things would have made the stay much more enjoyable and would compare favourably to other establishments.

The room had en suite shower and toilet and a very comfy bed. Tv and heating - it was perfect for my needs.

I had no complaints and even on a busy main road I slept well and no disturbances from outside or other guests.

Stanza piccola,bagno piccolo! Pulizia del tutto scadente : avevamo una camera posta al primo piano senza ascensore ed eravamo in 2 con una bimba piccola di un anno. Una mattina io e mia moglie ci siamo svegliati con dei becchi di insetto presumibilmente cimice da letto. Abbiamo parlato con il proprietario immediatamente che ci ha cambiato stanza spostandoci in una stanza a piano terra e molto più grande! colazione da rivedere(una cucina in comune con la colazione fai da te e con un tavolo rotondo e 6 sedie in totale ma con 14 stanze nella struttura) da condividere con tutti!!

Personal muy atento, está un poco lejos del centro pero al lado de una parada de metro, por lo que te puedes mover por toda la ciudad sin problema.

Una habitación muy pequeña, pero realmente si vas pocos días y solo lo vas a usar para dormir está genial.

Os funcionários foram muito atentenciosos, solicitos e gentis. Localizado a 3-4 minutos do metrô, chegavamos muito fácil ao london eye, picaddily e outros pontos turísticos. A cama era bem confortável e o café da manhã era bastante agradável. O café é para todos os hóspedes numa cozinha compartilhada. O ônibus que leva até o aeroporto de Stansted passa em frente a cada 20 minutos e isso foi muito bom! Todos os dias chegávamos tarde da noite e não tivemos nenhum problema.

A limpeza não é o ponto forte mas não tinha nada de assustador. O chão era todo de carpete e eu particularmente não gosto, mas não tive problemas quanto a isso.
