Wat een parel dit hotel. Verstopt in 1 van de steegjes in Chania loop je dit hotel binnen. Via de receptie loop je door naar een open binnen pleintje met tafels en stoelen. Dat is al een plaatje om te zien. Vanuit daar ga je met een trap naar de kamers. Onze kamer was echt prachtig met een bed waarin je op wolkjes ligt. Het is ook super schoon. Wij hadden een superior kamer geboekt maar kregen een upgrade naar een junior suite. Ook het ontbijt de volgende ochtend was heerlijk. Wij vonden het zo fijn daar dat we langer wilden blijven maar was helaas volgeboekt. Wij gaan zeker terug!

The hotel receptionist in the morning was not very polite or welcoming, almost rude.

We waren onderweg en deden in Chania een tussenstop om wat te eten, toen we besloten om toch een overnachting te doen. Wat fijn dat we toen dit pareltje vonden. Zeer, zeer warm welkom. Midden in het oude centrum en een prachtige ruime kamer. Netjes en voorzien van al het gemak. Zeer goed a la carte ontbijt!

Onze zoon sliep op de slaapbank. Deze was wel erg hard, maar voor één nachtje was dat oké.

Desayuno a la carta excepcional y cama super cómoda. Muy buena ubicación para disfrutar de Chania.

La falta de parking puede ser un problema si vas con coche de alquiler

Great stay here for 5 nights. Right in the heart of old town Chania, but not loud or crowded at all. Dead silent at night and morning. The breakfast is always fresh and tasty with lots of options. Great service all around from all staff. Immaculate rooms and lobby.

Location was perfectly in the old town of Chania, in a very quiet alley, away from the noise of the various restaurants and souvenir shops.

Hard to find parking but that is just what happens when you are staying in the old town!

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the charming port area. My wife and I were very impressed by the kind and attentive service we received from the hotel manager Vasilis. Vasilis went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Also, it must be said, that the breakfast we were served was of superb quality and generous proportions.

We opted for the cheapest room, which was nice, but rather small and a bit dark with only 1 small window. Next time we will go up a level. Having said that, the room looked onto an interior courtyard and was therefore very quiet. My wife would have liked full-length mirror in the room

We prepaid for pickup at the airport and to take us to the hotel. The taxi dropped us off 300 meters from the hotel and pointed which way to go. We dragged our suitcases around for 40 minutes before we found it. The streets are narrow alleys and wind around. The desk clerk said that the taxi was supposed to call the hotel and that they would have met us to assist with the bags. He told us that when we leave someone would help us to the taxi. The day before we left, we asked a different front desk clerk to arrange our departure. He told me that he has a bad leg and couldn't help us. I had no idea how to find the taxi so I arranged one myself. He was very rude to me! On our first morning, a nice young lady offered to show us how to use the coffee machine before breakfast time. On our second last day, the grumpy man from the front desk scolded us for touching the machine. They obviously need a team meeting to get on the same page. Guests shouldn't be belittled for doing what we were told! All of the other staff were very nice and the breakfasts were excellent. The hotel is well situated near great restaurants.

Super gastheer die ons gelukkig waarschuwde voor marathon volgende dag ( en dus veel afsluitingen rondom hotel)en erg zijn best deed om ervoor te zorgen dat wij buiten de marathonroute konden parkeren en daarmee op tijd bij vliegveld kwamen.

Bedden zakten erg door !!! En helaas was er een marathon volgende ochtend en moesten we auto ver weg parkeren, daarnaast was het (sowieso eind lopen omdat ) auto nooit dicht bij hotel geparkeerd kon worden. En best wel gehorig als mensen je kamer passeerden.

Wow wow wow! I have been too 114 countries, many many times over and I really love this boutique hotel because of ALL their staffs! They are super friendly and helpful and made me feel like family. On top of that, this 5 star boutique hotel is full of history and is over 500 years old! They complimentary upgraded me their Jr Suite, which has street view and a bed that is comfortable. If I had to make 1 minor critique is to change their pillows as it is a bit hard. But that is just my taste. The property is also located 1 min walk to the Venetian Harbour with numerous restaurants all day and night. Will definitely stay here again simply because all their staffs are top notch.

Ηταν όλα υπέροχα! Άνετο πεντακάθαρο και πολύ όμορφο δωμάτιο. Μας αναβάθμισαν σε junior suite. Μόλις 2 λεπτά απόσταση με τα πόδια από το ενετικό λιμάνι και την κεντρική αγορά.Θα ξανά μέναμε εδώ σίγουρα. Το συνιστούμε ανεπιφύλακτα.

Huone oli melko pieni ja ainoa, kapea ikkuna oli sisäpihalle. Kannattaa valita suurempi huone, jos majoittuu pidempään.

Great location in the heart of the old town, we were very happy with the large room with mezzanine bedroom and private terrace as well as a smart tv (not that we watched much) was great to connect to for music/news etc in the evenings. Service at the breakfast was always very good as was the food. For the money everything was spot on and would highly recommend this hotel!

We had the most wonderful stay at Serenissima Boutique Hotel in Chania. Tucked away in the heart of the Old Town, the location couldn’t be better - just steps from charming cobbled streets, cafés, and the Venetian Harbour, yet wonderfully quiet at night. The building itself is beautiful - a Venetian townhouse with high ceilings, original stonework, and tasteful modern touches. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean with an elegant, understated décor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and little details like high-quality toiletries (Molten Brown) and a beautiful bath/shower with just the right amount of pressure. The baby cot was a beautiful Nuna cot and incredibly luxurious for my little one. Even the baby sheet was beautifully embroidered with little animals on it. Attention to detail is next level. We had two rooms and our rooms linked onto a terrace. This was the best part as we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace every afternoon. Breakfast deserves a special mention: everything is fresh, seasonal and prepared to order. The scrambled eggs were absolutely divine as well as the pancakes. We loved trying different local cakes/biscuits for breakfast too. The staff were warm and attentive. Be prepared to cart your luggage at least 7 minutes from the Main Street to the hotel. Chania's streets are very narrow and cars are not allowed after a certain point. Serenissima is a gem and the absolute best you will find in Chania. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the block-out blinds. While the electronic blinds are a great feature, one of them didn’t fully block out the light, so the room stayed quite bright at night.

Although there was a mix of firm to softer pillows, not knowing which to select could impact that first night sleep.

We stayed at several hotels during our honeymoon in Greece and this was by far our favorite! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the area as well and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

I cannot praise this hotel enough, no matter how many words I include in my review. The Serenissima Hotel is simply perfect in every way from the staff, to the central but quiet location and it's fantastic breakfast. A special thank you to both Petros and Alex who served our home cooked fresh breakfast each morning, nothing was to much trouble and always attentive. Thank you Caroline for guiding us to the best parts of the island, your knowledge was welcomed and made our stay even better. And finally....thank you to the chef who spoilt me every morning with her home made marmalade, and for giving me a jar full to take home. We are missing you all and hopefully will be back soon.

Great charming hotel

A lovely hotel right in the centre of Chania’s old town. We had a really nice stay and fantastic breakfasts throughout the trip. Note that I have a lot of allergies and they were catered for. So thank you very much. The only thing was that our room had one window which looked out onto the courtyard. Meaning if you had the blind open you didn’t get any privacy. I’d suggest a netted curtain here so that you can have both privacy and daylight. Otherwise a lovely trip with very accommodating staff.

Our AC wasn’t great .

Nice and comfortable place to stay in a lovingly restored 16th century Venetian house with Ottoman additions. Despite being in a busy part of town, it’s very quiet once inside. The night porter, staff at breakfast (Petros) and Vasssilis (who checked us in) were all very helpful and courteous.

1. Breakfast took a very long time to come. 2. Our junior suite was lovely and comfortable but had no view. 3. Despite being a junior suite, the room only had one armchair and no other comfortable chair to sit in and relax. 4. As mentioned by another reviewer, the staff decided to start cleaning the courtyard with a jet hose at a very early time in the morning making a lot of noise, which lasted for a few hours, thus disrupting the peace and quiet of the guests. No apologies were given. 5. On the day we checked out, the lady at the front desk ignored us for 20 minutes as she was busy chatting to some newly arrived customers, giving them information about where to go, what to do, etc. I had to interrupt them as our pre-ordered taxi was arriving soon and we needed to check out and get directions where to meet our taxi driver. 6. The hammam highlighted in many reviews is no longer functional, and the restaurant is permanently closed.

Serenissima was a beautiful, perfect choice for our two-day stay in Chania. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are very clean, and breakfast is so delicious + set in a stunning dining room. Most of all, 10/10 service -- we were the tourists who didn't know we had to park a few blocks away and carry all our luggage to the hotel (because a lot of the area is walking only). Carolina helped us not only figure it all out when we arrived, but also personally met us on the tiny road we got ourselves stuck in to help with bags. Outstanding hospitality.

A pleasant surprise coming into the hotel out of the crowded alleyway. The building is beautiful. There were only a couple plug ins in the European style which was a slight downside. The room was large with two balconies, quiet and rustic but beautiful. The only negative was the bed was not comfortable. The location is perfect! Breakfast was tasty!

When we arrived, it was my birthday. They didn't recognise it at all, only said congratulations. The air conditioning in the room was very weak. Cleaners started to clean all the public areas with a shower very early in the morning, and it caused a lot of noise. There is no elevator in the building, so you have to carry all your luggage upstairs.

The free breakfast was some of the best tasting food all trip. There was something so comfortable about walking through the front doors ooff the streets of Chania.

This is a beautiful hotel in a quiet street in the old town, but also near the Venetian port. Our room was beautiful, with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The bathroom was stylish and functional. The a la carte breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were delightful and helpful, particularly Carolina. There’s nothing we can fault about our stay!
