Lovely place room comfortable staff friendly breakfast was great
Bit pricey but treat
Attractive. Location
Very open noisy restaurant difficult for my husbands hearing and several dogs that didn’t get on the night we were there
Lovely location and characterful inn with coast path nearby, an old harbour, lots of sea birds. Great breakfast which was included in room price. Manager was helpful even when he was under pressure and showed us to our table and then room.
Car park was very busy as bank holiday. Long wait at reception as someone’s dinner booking hadn’t gone through so they were trying to find a table for them but it took ages. Long wait to get a drink and then get served in the restaurant - they were more interested in relating tables than serving - and female server not great especially as I had dietary requirement (which I advised them of in advance). Food fine but menu limited for dietary requirements. No sea view from bedroom window as advertised. Hot water in bathroom scalding hot and couldn’t have a shower, only a bath. It seems the hot water had previously been too cool so the temp had been adjusted but by far too much. Room very warm - two fans were provided. Not a place to stay in peak summer temperatures. Better for a spring or early autumn break. But it was full for Aug bank holiday.
Great pub and room
Long wait for breakfast order to arrive at the table 45 mins approx. Other guests experience the same. Eggs royal had over cooked poached eggs and over toasted muffin which ruined the dish and was clearly a result of the overload of orders which resulted in rushed preparation. Also £25 supplement for our dog was a bit steep. Nothing mentioned at check in but we are used to paying for our dog so was expecting one. Most places we stay charge around £10 to £15.
Quiet location, lovely bar with proper beer.
Nothing
Location is the best by far, and the fact it's so dog friendly.
The room was incredibly tiny. I would recommend asking for a bigger room when booking. We stayed previously and the room was much bigger.
Nice bathroom. Happy to see a hairdryer. Breakfast was adequate.
Dinner was poor. Dinner service was poor. Took forever.
This is the fourth time we stayed. Very relaxing, good location. Breakfast brilliant.
Nothing
very expensive for the price
The price
Lovely and lovely staff
Nice room, & good facilities
Scampi I had in the restaurant was over cooked & very dry. Can hear quite a bit of noise from neighbouring rooms.
Location parking breakfasts air conditioning in small room
Very small room but air conditioning good
Location was impressive, staff very good The room described as small was perfectly acceptable. It had the added bonus of air conditioning. The food was very good also.
Breakfast service was slow on the first day. Prices charged by booking.com were higher than going direct ,which was disappointing
Food was good but not enough choice.
Room smelt of dog and our bathroom had some issues in terms of cleanliness. Also had to ask for towels to be changed.
The room implied a sea view which did not exist. The only view was over the car park at the front.
The location. Extortionate room price. No sea view, just the car park. I wont be staying at this or any other group hotels because of this.
Breakfast was average. The location is very good. My room was very small but had air-conditioning and was quiet.
The bathroom layout was poor but the shower was good.
We liked the style of the property, the location and how dog friendly it was
Think we were forgotten at breakfast as waited 40 minutes for a cooked breakfast and eggs weren’t runny after requesting it. Our room was quite small but that was fine with us.
Breakfast best we have ever had location brilliant great beer good vibes from all staff very petty
Very petty I think separate room for diners without pets
Location was amazing, food was lovely and staff were so attentive
Not a problem for us for one night but bath taps were working
Charming old bar area and fabulous location
Nothing
Very nice staff, lovely old inn 😊
Nothing
Comfort fine, food and drinks good. Ample parking. pleasant staff.
Judging by the web site write up, I had expected the Lifeboat Inn to be next to the sea, but it is way away. And very expensive for what you receive. Wow. Not going back there again.
Really lovely staff and a great place too.

Good bfast in nice dining room.Table service good, friendly Staff.Nice snug lounge.Great location,Attractive dining areas.Old historical atmosphere.
Room smaller than expected by price, rather awkward.Window wouldn't open enough. No info explanation re service charges.
Very well appointed rooms with a large ensuite
Couldn't find fault with it
Everthing about our stay was fantastic, lovely food and plenty of it. The room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. All the staff were really amazing, helpful, and kind, - the receptionists, bar staff, serving staff and cleaners. We will certainly be visiting The Lifeboat Inn again.
No complaints at all!
Staff are all very helpful, good location very peaceful.
We had no issues with the lifeboat inn at all.
Bedroom was nice and large as was the bathroom, both were roomy comfortable and clean. A couple of repairs required for the bathroom.
Some of the downstairs furniture could do with replacing but keeping within character of the building. Unfortunately the bar toilets were in use for our duration. Most of the staff were great but a couple were lacking customer service skills, i.e. left us hovering not knowing where to sit for our meal.
I liked the Location and the rooms and all the staff were lovely.
The cooked breakfast was totally over cooked and felt like it was just heated up. The poached eggs were solid as were the sausages. Maybe unlucky but my wife’s breakfast was the same and another couple felt the same.
The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated.
We were disappointed at the lack of choice on the evening menu. Staffing levels seemed a problem. People on the next table had to wipe their table down themselves with a cloth provided by bar staff. I’d be embarrassed if I worked there and actually handed a customer a cloth rather than immediately cleaned the table myself. For the price you pay, there has to be a certain standard. Also absolutely no WiFi connection for either of us despite it saying it was trying to connect for 24 hours! A nearby pub had very good WiFi so it is achievable in that area.
The location is outstanding
The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was terrible. We thought we were booking a sea view room but were told listings on booking.com were often inaccurate. We were over the kitchen and had a view of a roof
La tranquillità e la pulizia
Le scale e i continui scalini, la camera piccola, i prezzii assolutamente eccessivi
Lovely old character property. In a beautiful village with plenty of parking. Room was nice but needed armchairs as sitting on bed was uncomfortable.
The main issue was the guest WiFi didn’t work at all for our 4 night stay and as a result I used all my mobile data, which I’ve never done. This left me without being able to stay in contact with clients and family members. We did ask several times but kept being told “oh it’s playing up today” but it clearly hasn’t been working for a while. Travelling home without mobile data was stressful.
Eveything
Great location, very atmospheric. Excellent bar service, nice food.
We paid much more for our rooms than other guests, having booked through booking.com, so it felt poor value for money.
Location and food.
Homely
Quaint, relaxing…. Great views lots of wildlife.
A delightful place, full of character and beautifully situated near to the coastal path.
Nothing
Location, historic building relaxing
The rooms are lovely. The location is perfect too.

We’ve been before for food but decided to stay here on our most recent trip to Norfolk. Great location, amazing beaches and walks close by, loads of character and the staff were exceptional. Don’t write reviews very often but this stay stood out as the place was really welcoming and the service outstanding. Nathan was exceptionally welcoming and with such a great attitude you rarely come across these days. We will be back!
We only had two nights here.
The ‘old pub’ ambiance. The friendly staff. Lifeboat pale ale. The food.
The room, it was cramped, only one chair, the window was high & once seated (on the bed or in the one chair) we couldn’t see what must be a stunning view.
room, dinner & breakfast as well as the welcome & service by the staff team - all excellent
nothing - couldn't improve
This is our favorite place there is something about it that is just lovely. We asked for Rumbold room and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is one of olde worlde down stairs and modern coastal upstairs. The staff are so friendly and welcoming.
Veggie menu could be better but I asked for certain food and the chef did it. Thanks chef
Lovely room and a lovely breakfast
This is our go to place. Just wonderful. We love the rooms, the shower the bed is utterly amazing. I am vegetarian and there is food for me to eat. The young man who served us breakfast morning of the 28th was so professional he is a real credit to you. Going again next week.
Could you please do more veggie food 😋
We have visited the lifeboat allot over the years but this was our first time staying there. The staff are all lovely and very friendly and accommodating. Love the open fire. Had Sunday lunch and the food was delicious. Lovely walks straight from the pub door.
The hot water in our room was very very hot and we found it very difficult to get a comfortable temperature to shower in. This could be very dangerous.
Lovely quiet location, we arrived early but were given our table for lunch and room straight away. All staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent.
Staff! Location and facilities.
Flies in the dining room. The room was quite hot.
Food was good, room was a lovely size, location was ideal for what we had come for, staff were very friendly, plenty of parking , complimentary toiletries and biscuits were lovely.
Road noise was louder than I expected but it is on a main road so not unexpected.
Staff very friendly and quick to please. The breakfast was very well presented and of excellent quality. Liked the fact that I was given a key for the outside door in case I return after the inn is closed.
The inn is starting to look war torn and could do with a good clean. An industrial vacuum cleaner instead of the cheap domestic one, getting into corners and dusting some of the artefacts throughout the inn would be a start.
Breakfast good Locatiom goodw
Wardrobes in the bedrooms.

Cleanliness
Dog friendly, very clean, nice rooms and bar.
Drink prices somewhat high.
The room was warm and cozy. The bed was amazing and we had a beautiful sleep. Staff super helpful and very friendly. We had just had to let our dog go to Rainbow bridge and the fact that dogs were allowed was so lovely and we met the beautiful Kate a labrador retriever, who was happy to be fussed. Modern decor mixed with original was so lovely.
Not a complaint but it would be amazing if you could provide more choices for vegetarians.
Lovely 2 night stay, Staff were all very friendly & helpful. Food & drinks were great, including breakfast.
nothing
Food was exceptional, good quality produce. Restaurant was really welcoming, service was excellent
It was all good
breakfast was amazing
nothing it was absolutely perfect
Everything.
sounds odd but the toilet paper in the room was cheap and nasty.
Quirtky cosy building. Food was good in the restaurant. Staff were friendly especially the young lad that was our server during our evening meal. Breakfast was OK 👍 👌
Had to go to reception to get the fresh milk that should have been in the room. Found a sanitary product on the tea/coffee tray, weird!!
Lovely breakfast
Wifi a little in room however in public areas good
Room was awful smelled of dogs bathroom dirty . I had booked extra large room with sea view. Room view was a garage roof top . Staff upgraded on the second night to the room we had actually paid for i.e. large with a sea view and not smelling of dogs
We loved the smell of the open fire when we entered the building!
Dog beds looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned from previous visitors.
Nice cozy pub
Lovely
Great atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Lovely room, good breakfast, very cosy bar, fantastic location
very unfortunate, but smoke detector flashing above our heads, in the dark it lights up the room, sadly no sleep second night.
Great location for the norfolk coast path. Really lovely staff. The pub itself is way cosier than the pics. Food also excellent. Would definitely stay again

Location is excellent for walking, exploring, eating and drinking. Lovely and quiet on the Norfolk coast, with wonderful views .
Great spot lovely building
Room very very small Evening meal poor choice and expensive wine exhortation
Lovely d traditional pub. Excellent staff.
Husbands fish 🐟 and chips disappointing.
The situation of the hotel, is perfect for travelling around and sightseeing. The staff were super friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food was amazing, especially the breakfast, our room was lovely comfortable, and lovely view over the marshes, and a glimpse of the sea as well.
Breakfast
Location of seating for evening meal. Everyone passing us going to the toilet. Poorly lit. Staff overwhelmed. Chips were cold. Meal okay. White wine was tasteless, seemed watered down. Red wine good.
Breakfast unbelievable. Dinner was lovely very good value. Room and en suite fantastic lots of toiletries loads of towels lovely big bath and power shower, Exceptional dog friendly service everything they wanted was provided, Good parking & outside seating was all the way round the pub grounds. Staff at breakfast were brilliant & the lady on reception very helpful.
Everything was perfect
