Oda heryeri tozluydu. Halı koltuk pisdi. Hijyen koşullarına uygun değildi
The hotel was once very grand, but it needs a little TLC. It’s still a lovely hotel but could be amazing if they tidied it up a little.
The breakfast is a total rip off and actually angered me! £15.95 for the traditional breakfast is the worst value for money breakfast ever (I’ve attached a photo).
Temiz olmayan toz içinde odalarda çarşafların temiz olmadığı heryerin garip ses çıkardığı sinek örümcek dolu odalar
I was there for an event so it was perfectly located. Grounds of the site are beautiful. Very peaceful. Bedding was exceptionally soft and mattress was very comfortable. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate facilities in room were brilliant. As was the water glass bottle.
Some of the interior is tired- in my room the bathroom tiles were chipped/grouting coming away, bed had exposed screws, walls were marked. I had the continental breakfast- £9 is expensive for toast and a yoghurt.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The hotel rooms were comfortable and the hotel itself was beautiful. Staff were, welcoming and were available to provide assistance.
Cutlery was not clean
景色非常非常漂亮,傍晚阳光照在湖面上,像极了莫奈的荷花池塘。虽然设施略有陈旧,但别有一番风味。
房间卫生能够做得再细致一些就更好。但床品等都非常干净。
Design! It’s a gorgeous place to live in! A real mansion
Location was ok
Room too shall for two people with sloping ceilings
This was 3rd year we stayed at this hotel...Perfect for an older couple...We had a front facing beautiful room on first floor with a view to die for.
Only one thing we didn't like was a fantastic bath but no safety bars to hold onto to lift yourself out of the bath...The bathroom and shower was exceptional
Afternoon Tea was very nice.
Bar service very slow Also bed sheets very stained
Everything perfect
The Hall is beautiful and has lots of interesting history, our room was beautiful and spacious and comfortable, a lovely treat for our anniversary, the food was fantastic and the really friendly staff made it a really nice stay.
There were a few bits I noticed in the room that weren't as clean as I was expecting and a few other odd bits in the bar area but it didn't affect our stay.
Lovely old building
Decor Could do with a refresh
Beautiful property, but the bed was disappointing Colwick Hall is a beautiful and historic property, and everything was very clean and well presented. Our room was huge, with lovely period features and plenty of character. Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. We also felt the stay was a little costly for what you get, particularly given the comfort of the bed. Overall, the property itself is impressive and the rooms are spacious and full of character, but the value for money and bed comfort could be improved.
The bed
If you have kids the after parties make it extremely hard to sleep as the sound travels as if you were down there yourself. The standard room is bellow every standard and looks like a room for hostage situations. When I upgraded to a bigger nicer room the police raided my room because a drunk guy entered the hotel and went to the room next to me and blood was everywhere. Good thing my daughter is a 1 year old which means they didn’t even notice. Worst hotel I have ever been to.
Well located, yet peaceful.
No nightime bar
The staff are always lovely and the building/setting beautiful.
The approach outside the hotel is badly potholed and now has multiple caravans/ motor homes where people are living off grid. Rubbish and abandoned furniture on verge. The extractor in our bathroom was broken, so a constant drains smell. The mirror lights weren’t working in bathroom either and the duvet was hanging out of the cover and hadn’t been fastened. A shame as attention to detail here is usually excellent.
Grand old house
The breakfast is disappointing
Everything.
Nothing.
We had a lovely afternoon tea, with a good selection of food, and pleasant polite staff. The ground floor of the hotel is wheelchair accessible. We had a good view of the fountain. However there were a couple of negatives. The disabled parking spaces are far too far away. On the day we went it was very quiet and our wheelchair user was allowed to park near the front door. However if it was busy that would not be possible, and an ambulant blue badge holder would not be able to walk from the disabled spaces to the front door. The disabled toilet needs a coat of paint, and the floor wasn't particularly clean. The ladies' loo is decorated in what a colleague of mine would call 'tart's boudoir ' style, and there was a huge gap under the doors of the cubicles, which is very disconcerting. We were celebrating a major birthday, and on balance, yes we would go back.
This was truly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Absolutely immaculate. The staff were very helpful and always smiled even when just passing or busy doing other things. Staff made sure everywhere was clean and well maintained. The privacy of the rooms is also exceptional. Once in the room, there is a handbook of the hotel and inside a poem from the last master of the property, it is a lovely touch. The hotel is scattered with real art pieces and painting, as well as beautiful poetry and mantras in the brasserie. A beautiful location and a beautiful hotel inside and out.
Room attendance was not great. We left a sign for our room to be serviced while we were gone for several hours, upon our arrival, the room still had not been serviced. Not enough drink options in the rooms and no fridge, meaning the drinks that we brought were room temperature. The pillows were a bit hard.
Friendly staff
Noise from weddings
Room sizes, location and grounds
The room was very nice although the windows are very difficult to operate and need a sanding down and paint job. The room and bathrooms were spacious. We had multiple issues with fittings with the door handle/lock falling off from main door and also the bathtub tap was broken.
It was a very picturesque setting. We were in one of the top rooms. I think one of the rooms on the floor below with big windows and views of the back gardens would have been nice and I would recommend.
If you get a cappuccino or latte when they offer you coffee in the morning you have to pay for it.
Was the most amazing wedding and the food was 10/10 ❤️.
Came here for Afternoon Tea and it is always a pleasure. I got engaged and then married here and the staff have always been so lovely! Will be coming back soon I’m sure and looking forward to it!
spacious, peaceful
The AC was not good and the room was quite warm
What an amazing place is Colwick Hall for a wedding! Our daughter, who lives in Nottingham, got married at Grace Church and had the wedding breakfast and evening do at Colwick Hall. It is such a great place with character, ample car parking, fountains both bank and front. The rooms are more than what you can ask for with their period features and a poem by Lord Byron framed in the rooms. The day was a very memorable one and Sam, who we met when we first looked around the venue, was there to help with any requests and always happy to help the day go smoothly. Colwick Hall is a gem and very sought after and we were blessed to have been able to have it for such a special day and evening. The team at Colwick kept us informed and helped us get it all planned right up to the day. You could not ask for more. They are so professional and also very caring for your requirements. Highly recommend this place. You’ll love it once you get to see it and get to see the beauty of the place. And even the breakfast staff in the Byron brasserie. Oliver tended to all our needs at breakfast. Thank you all at Colwick, we had a great day and one to remember of the time we spent at Colwick hall.
Beautiful, bright, clean hitel in a wonderful location. Heatwave highlighted need for modernisation re. air conditioning
Fans could not lower the air temperature
Myself and my 91 year old mum attended the Summer Afternoon Tea at this venue on the 3rd August. After a very pot holed drive to the hotel (not their fault the road is council owned) we pulled in to an impressive site. Very helpful receptionist showed us to the room we were in. Lovely staff member showed us to our table and asked if we had any allergies, when you book they ask this but still excellent that they check. We chose the non alcohol version of the afternoon tea as we were driving but alcohol was still available which my mum took advantage of. The food was very nicely presented and as always on first glance you think, there’s not a lot there, but I can assure you we couldn’t eat it all and took some home. We had one each of roast beef & tomato, vegetable & pesto, chicken Caesar and tuna & sweetcorn sandwiches. Butternut squash & orange soup, small quiche. Scone with clotted cream and jam, lemon shortbread, chocolate brownie and a raspberry cupcake. Unlimited tea and coffee. It was one of the nicest afternoon teas I have had and at £29.99 priced not too badly but slightly on the pricey side. I would 100% visit again
Afternoon tea ,very nice would definitely come back again
Very comfortable large quiet bedroom and bed
No food available after nine pm. No bar service. Bar area itself unappealing with poor lighting and seating. Breakfast dishes and corn flakes left out in full view.
Beautiful building in a stunning location. The room I was in was a decent size, as was the bathroom. Food in restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast, was good.
We visited for afternoon tea, the room was spacious and light with blossoms hanging from the ceiling , the food was delicious , especially the scones , light and still warm, our tea pot was refilled without us needing to ask and the lady who served us so very friendly , what a lovely atmosphere
Husband planned a overnight suprise stay for our wedding annivisery, which we was left disappointed, rooms described to be boutique style. But there was marks on the floors chip in the bath and sink not working properly. When spoke to reception they just said they will get maintenance to sort it. Breakfest wasent great nither... maybe cus we dreamed of getting married here 15 years ago I was expecting too high expectations butwe shouldn't of been put in what felt like a dirty room
* The room was large and comfortable.. * The building is beautiful at a distance. * Reception staff was friendly.
It's a shame to see such a grand historical building in such a neglected state. Lots of issues I am afraid: * The "Byron Brasserie" is laughable, outdated - seems to be neglected. Even cocktails they couldn't make in the evening. * So called breakfast costing £16pp was simply AWFUL - no cooking skills whatsoever, disrespect towards food, just the cheapest frozen ingredients from a supermarket warmed up. "Continental breakfast" is rubbish. "Service" was really bad - upon us entering the place someone shouted from a distance "coffee or tea". * Coffee.... Just don't order coffee there, it's not coffee. * Grounds seem to be neglected * Many windows haven't been cleaned for a while - entangled in spider webs and crawlies. * The lobby looks like a joke, there's no class.
Location was tranquil. Amazing historical building. Friendly welcoming staff. Hotel was very clean
Not enough food choice in the evening, only a la Carte available
Staff were fantastic, room was clean and tidy, facilities were great
Only problem was that our room was very hot but staff had provided three fans to try to help which was great, nothing that could have been done to prevent it as our stay was during a heatwave
Leider nichts
Alles , extrem schmutzig und mit Insekten befallen
Nice location but the room, breakfast and general decor were a bit shabby
See above
lovely staff, fancy bedroom! lovely surroundings
Location friendly staff lovely food
Bath water like warm. Room a little tired
Lovely area
Rooms were very dated
Climbing stairs to our room
No lift and no window in the room only a skylight.
The building is pretty.
The hotel looks great but our second floor room doubled as a tropical climate simulation chamber. We booked knowing that there is no aircon but the weather was forecast at 25C maximum – how hot could a room get? The answer, it didn’t fall below 30C according to my watch. Being on the top floor and with only a tiny window, sleep was less "luxury hotel" and more "survival challenge." The fans provided just didn’t make a difference. On night two, a hotel function with loud music until 11pm forced us to keep the window closed and kept the room even hotter. No chance to move to a different room, the staff gave us a tray of ice for under the fan, but otherwise sympathy from the night manager was next to zero with comments like “How do you think I sleep in the daytime heat” and that “the partygoers paid a lot of money". Those comments didn’t cool things down! A beautiful hotel hugely let down by a room that is unfit for sleeping in warm weather. The hotel should know better than to sell rooms that get so hot – we can’t be the first to experience this. Half a star for the décor, and half because the room was hot enough that I didn't need to pay extra for a spa treatment. P.S. £16 for a continental breakfast of that quality? Not twice…
The location, history and tranquility.. Fabulous location- safe parking .
Nothing really
The character of the building. Comfortable bed.
The rooms are very tired and in need of some TLC. Our room needed a deep clean and some attention to detail with the cleaning. Staff were not always available and customer service was not a priority. They didn’t show any passion or interest.
Location next to country park Staff good but very busy wearing all hats of a night time reception bar waiting
Room very hot 208 fan provided but very noisey this was only a small point and i accept the hotel has no control over the weather
ogród
Obiekt zaniedbany, brudno
The bed was comfy and the staff were friendly.
Where do I start. The grounds are unkept full of weeds, the flowers and grass are dead and the fountains are green and smell terrible. It wasn't pleasant to sit outside despite the weather. The entire place has fallen into disrepair. The decor is tired and shabby, paintwork cracked and what has been updated is cheap modern tat in what probably once was a gorgeous historical building. We stopped in the best room the lord Byron suit. The windows don't open so it's stifling hot, the quilt doesn't fit the bed and the linen is stained with yellow patches, the valance doesn't fit and is stained with what looks like bodily fluid. The window shutters don't shut properly to block light. The TV is tiny so you can't see it properly from the bed or sofa and the amenities are abysmal. The bath is stained the place is dirty.Toilet roll is cheapest of the cheap, toiletries I wouldn't dare put on my skin. All improvements that have been attempted are cheaply done and it shows and fetches the place down. The photos used on booking.com and trip advisor are clearly out of date or photoshopped and I havnt a clue who has written glowing reviews.are they in the same place? The food is over priced and terrible, steak was tough and the desserts were still frozen and store bought. £40 for 2 courses so £80 for 2 people is robbery and a risk to health. We were in bed by 8am and are leaving first thing we will not be returning. AVOID!!
Beautiful
Nothing
Very quiet , quaint property and the staff were really pleasant. Lovely Afternoon tea for the wife's birthday present 2everything was really tasty and more than enough.
First room on 2nd floor had very small window and no view and asked to be moved to a larger suite on 1st floor with large windows and view Continental breakfast was good Staff were very friendly and helpfull
Shower temperature was a little variable
The building and surroundings where lovely. The insides where very nice. Rooms comfortable but got hot due to no aircon. But its a grade listed building and fans where in rooms.
The £15 charge for breakfast is crazy expensive for what you got. £15 id expect two of everything. That was the only downside to the hotel.
Imposing building but very welcoming with a luxury feel. The rooms were lovely and spacious…great breakfast too
Nothing
Breakfast excellent lovely room although wish it had been at the front
Lovely peaceful setting and friendly attentive staff. Suite was amazing and comfortable, would definitely stay again for a small escape.
Room bathroom staff
The history and charm.

The location was good for the racing which we attended yesterday
We booked a twin room in February, in April the Council announced a music festival at the racecourse behind the hotel. The Hotel failed to notify us of the Festival. A week before our stay the hotel notified us of traffic issues approaching the hotel. We were placed in a top floor room with little ventilation but windows had to be closed due to the noise, hence sleep was severely affected, The Manager refused to make any concessions on the Price we paid as a gesture for the poor nights sleep we had. I would not stay there again due to the poor value for money,
Outside
Staff and dirty
beautiful venue
the staff in general were quite cold
The Lord Byron Suite was stunning and air conditioning was provided, all staff were so lovely and welcoming, room service was faultless and our food was delicious.
The only issue I can think of is the somewhat judgemental stares my partner and I seemed to get from older visitors to the Hotels Brasserie. Colwick Hall itself was nothing but a perfect experience.
We had our son's engagement here at COLWICK HALL on 27th June. All the guest liked the venue and had a great day with us. We had indian vegetarian menu and the food was top class, every one liked it. All the staff was very supportive. Very good service overall. Thanks a lot to TEAM COLWICK. V Vaidya
Proximity to Trent Bridge
Lack of natural light in our room
Grounds, views
Room was very basic No fridge Up in attic, no air Bit tired, could do with a bit of an update
Quiet and peaceful very comfortable spacious room
Only small thing is the silicone in bathroom let the quality of the bathroom down a touch
Staff were nice, frendly and informative. location was lovely, room was nice, plenty of spce
No food due to kitchen being too busy with other functions. they did offer to see what the chef could offer but it should have provided facilities as advertised. No bar as again the bar had a private function so we could not get a drink when we returned at night. no one on reception when we left so I could not feedback on the issues
Great location for the race course and Colwick Park
The poor guy on reception when we arrived back at 11pm was constantly having to run in between reception, the bar and because of the heat getting us and other guests jugs of ice for the warm drinking water in our room. Could really have done with another member of staff
Faded grandeur, extensive grounds, large rooms and large bathrooms, plenty of parking space, well situated for visiting Nottingham, nice people and adequate breakfast.
Troubled by inadequate aircon (noting visited during heatwave!).
The size and scale of the room was impressive. Sensitively furnished and very comfortable.
Room could have been cleaner. There was a used cotton bud in the bathroom and a few bits of leftover confetti. Didn't negatively affect our stay, just minor issue.
Staff are brilliant..Room was clean Excellent service..
Bar prices bit expensive.
We stayed before a few years back and loved the spacious room & en-suite .
We were in a room with very small windows and on the top floor. We managed but it was a lot of steps for a hot day and we’re both over 65. I hadn’t thought of making alternative request eg view or for a lower level.
We had our 8th sixth form prom on 19th June and it was absolutely fantastic. Food was lovely, staff was helpful and kind and the location is unbeatable. Already booked for next year!
Breakfast good
Room outdated 2 very small windows meant the room was very hot Poor nights sleep Cleanliness not the best
Having come from a previous accommodation where it was impossible to move around the room because of size, this double room at Colwick Hall was massive in size. We had ample room for two large suitcases and all our 'extras' plus ourselves. The bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately this room is at the top floor of a heritage building. It doesn't have air-conditioning and the windows are tiny. Therefore, in hot weather as we were fortunate to have whilst there, it was stuffy and uncomfortable overnight. We did have an oscillating fan which merely moved the stuffy air around. Somehow, if there was a possibility for some kind of air conditioning (even mobile) would benefit those booking this room in such a beautiful property. Please take note of the fact that there is NOT a lift at this property. There ARE stairs and many of them. For those who have mobility issues, book a room on the lower floor.
Lovely surroundings despite near to city centre. We stay here when we visit friends and relatives in nottm. Rooms are pleasant and comfortable. Staff friendly. Relaxing stay.
Nothing
Only a very short stay but very comfortable night. Bath was a treat. No complaints. Fan provided which was appreciated on a warm night.
No issues in a brief stay. Would recommend.
The food was of a poor standard the chef doesn’t know how to cook steak. The layout of the tables was not suitable for a family gathering it should have been a round table so everyone could mix. They could do with revamping the furniture as uncomfortable to sit on including garden furniture needs replacing. We came here about twelve year’s ago for a new years dinner and dance everything was top notch and again just after COVID for New Year’s Eve but standards had dropped then especially the cleanliness of the place and rooms. But this visit just topped it off so won’t be coming again. But I do need to add staff are excellent friendly and efficient
The location was superb, beautiful surroundings. The staff were all very friendly, efficient and professional. The building was unique and everywhere was really clean. Food was always hot and well cooked. Well done everyone.
The carpet in our room was old and a bit discoloured in places.
Location
Location great .atmosphere good .The steaks however were the toughest steak I have had in years ,could not complain as we had sent 3 back as were not correctly cooked already and was not wanting to spoil the occasion any further ,the steaks that came out was of the same quality as ones served before. Now yes we ate them but at £40 a head who is going to leave anything and we were starving as not eaten since breakfast. Staff in restaurant were all lovely however when they left,A gentleman came on we ordered 8 drinks at the bar the poor lad obviously not been trained and took 22 minutes at this time we were only people in bar . I have to say the gentleman was nice but untrained in bar service. I have previously eaten here and everything was great and gave them a 5 🌟
Beautiful hotel with lovely decor and nice grounds
Dinner and Breakfast were Excellent, Room was very spacious and Staff were very pleasant. Looks from the front of the Hotel were also fabulous.
We booked our wedding at Colwick Hall over two years before our special day, which was 2nd May 2026. The initial meetings we had and all contact in the run up to the big day was great, nothing was too much trouble and all of our requests were met with professionalism and excellent customer service. I specifically want to mention Geetha and Sam, both of whom were amazing, and Sam in particular many of our guests and myself included appreciated your care and attention to detail when sorting and booking rooms for everyone. The wedding day could not have gone any smoother and we are so grateful to the whole team for their impeccable service on the day, making our special day seamless. All our guests loved the venue, the food and the service throughout the day. Thank you all so much, we can’t wait to come back for an anniversary sometime in the future and relive the happy memories of our wedding.
Building had character and the grounds were nice. The food in Byron’s Bistro was excellent.
Room was wasn’t very clean, the decor and furniture was very dated. The room was in great need of decorating and the bathroom modernising.
Room & building were lovely - nice location - staff were very friendly & helpful.
We booked Colwick Hall for our wedding on Saturday, and we are so glad we did! From my arrival on Friday night to our check out on Sunday, all of the staff were attentive and genuinely seemed excited to be there for us during our big day. In the lead up to the day, the communication was great, which led to a flawless day. The staff were on hand to keep time and take us to wherever we needed to be throughout the day and they checked in regularly to make sure that we were happy. Overall, we had the best day that we could have imagined. Everything went to plan, the venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, the ceilidh was so much fun, and all of our guests have told us what an amazing time they had. We couldn't have asked for more.
Colwick Hall made for the perfect wedding venue for us and we would recommend it without reservation. It is a beautiful building and has comfortable, versatile inside spaces. The terrace from the brasserie and the grounds at the back were lovely in the sunshine as well. Its location is very convenient, being a short car journey from Nottingham city centre and other hotels, enabling guests to come by train from all over the country. Parking at the venue was ample. Whilst it is at the end of a busy lane, this presented no problems. Our rooms were excellent: comfortable, spacious, clean and suitably-equipped. (The iron was pristine, which is something that lets a lot of other hotels down.) The whole team were a pleasure to work with. Our main contact was Geetha, who was unfailingly positive and just the right balance of organised and relaxed. The kitchen and waiting staff, in particular, were very efficient and our wedding breakfast flowed at just the right pace. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. Guests with dietary requirements were well looked after. We found the venue to be good value for money compared with other options we looked at. Importantly, there were no hidden costs or last-minute surprises: everything was as advertised in the brochure and as agreed with the venue in generating our quote. It is such a good venue, you'll want to get married again!
This stay was a gift to my mother-in-law for her 80th birthday, so I did not stay myself. Therefore this review is second-hand from what she’s told me. She loved the grandeur of the building, describing it as like a National Trust stately home. She loved the luxury of the bedroom, with gorgeous ornate furniture, especially the full four-poster bed. She particularly liked the extra touches that the hotel laid on for her birthday (I had tipped off the hotel in advance), including cake and flowers.
Nothing, really, although my father-in-law commented that the breakfast wasn’t particularly special.
We recently stayed at Colwick Hall and had an exceptional experience overall. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was lovely and thoughtfully tailored to our individual needs, and the service truly stood out. A special mention must go to Sam, Lewis, Maxine, and Pramod at reception, who were all fantastic throughout our stay. In particular, Sam was outstanding from beginning to end, especially with the email correspondence before our arrival — professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout. Our room was lovely and comfortable, although a little outdated in places, and the windows were slightly difficult to open. There was also an unpleasant smell at one point, though this clearly wasn’t the fault of the hotel itself. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was excellent, and we would happily stay again. The warmth and professionalism of the staff really made the stay memorable. Thank you to the entire team! We look forward to returning x
