Aug 22/23 - dirty room which we couldn’t get a replacement for, stolen items: we chose this hotel because we had a great stay at a Prestige in another town - we arrived and went up to our room, shortly after found someone else’s bathing suit hanging off the back of our bedroom door. I brought it down to the front desk, notified them of the unclean room as they clearly hadn’t cleaned the door handles and who knows what else they didn’t clean. The front desk staff checked their computer and said the room is clean because it’s “marked clean”. I said clearly not because there was other peoples belongings. She wasn’t budging, said sorry and the room was clean. I’m not a professional cleaner but I feel me opening a door that had someone’s clothing that was on their naked body probably isnt considered clean for any other hotels standards. And I don’t care if the computer said its “marked clean” when I can see with my eyes it wasn’t, and she never came up to check the room herself. The pool and water slide was great for the kids. They liked the arcade (bring coins, it’s not free). Bed and pillows were comfy and the room was quiet. They provide towels to wash the dishes, but bring your own dishsoap as there wasn’t any in our kitchenette. There was good stock of bowls, pots, pans, utensils etc. Next morning we found 3/4 mountain bikes stolen off our truck, the bikes lock had been cut. Despite the front advertising video surveillance - we found out where we parked actually did NOT have surveillance. Now, it’s not the hotels fault the bikes were stolen. However the front desk staff told us after the fact that there is a large camp right behind the field we parked by. This was not told to us on check in, and they did see the vehicle we drove up in with the bikes so it’s unfortunate a warning wasn’t given. So all in all - dirty room, which we slept in as it was clear no alternative was going to be given, and proximity to an area with theft - I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

The Prestige Hotel hotels in Cranbrook seem to be over priced. There is no complimentary breakfast as in a regular Best Western. Our room was very clean and the staff are super friendly. We were very happy to be able to use our Best Western points to pay for our room! We checked out the pool area, but it had no hot tub.

Being we had our dog the back, fenced in gree area was great! Convenient.

We only stay at Best Western when possible and had some fantastic complimentary breakfasts this week. We were disappointed for the cost that there was no breakfast included. As well..the washroom was very small.

An excellent stay. Conveniently located. Friendly, efficient front desk staff. Great amenities - onsite restaurant, pool with waterslide, exercise room. Clean, comfortable room with reliable Wi-Fi access. Had three meals in the restaurant - two breakfasts, one supper - all delicious. Wonderful serving staff. I will definitely stay here again.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at the Prestige Best Western in Cranbrook. I made my reservation more than six months ago as part of a competition room block and used my debit card to secure and hold the reservation. After driving more than 1,000 miles to attend the event, I arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in process. Instead, I was informed that the hotel would only accept a credit card at check-in. A debit card was apparently good enough to hold the reservation for six months, but not good enough to actually check in. I explained that I had driven all day, was far from home, and had a confirmed reservation. I even offered to immediately go withdraw cash to cover the room and deposit. The front desk clerk contacted the manager, but the answer remained no. Rather than work with a guest who had a long-standing reservation and was willing to pay, they canceled the reservation and left us without a room. The most frustrating part is that this policy was never made clear when the reservation was booked. Had I known a credit card would be mandatory regardless of other payment methods, I could have made arrangements before driving across multiple states and into another country. Leaving travelers stranded after a 1,000+ mile trip despite having a confirmed reservation is poor customer service and a complete failure in hospitality. I understand hotels have policies, but good customer service involves finding solutions, especially for guests who booked months in advance and are standing at your front desk ready to pay. I cannot recommend this hotel based on how this situation was handled.

There is a railway at the back of the property. It is loud and goes on all night (not constantly). Recommend to request rooms in the lower numbers which means the room is closer to the front.

The suite was excellent and the hotel is clean and well located.

We had a birthday party there and the staff was amazing ..The room was huge the price was so good … thank you to the staff

This venue felt overpriced. Had I realized this was a water slide facility I would not have booked it. It’s difficult for hotel staff to prevent screaming children running madly in the hall outside my room. Better for families who are willing to cope with such situations. An adult bellowed into the hall, “we’ve had a complaint!!!” to the children - sigh. I was not alone. I wonder if staff can reserve a floor or section for patrons without children.

Cranbrook is at the half-way point to a spot I like to go fishing at in Idaho from my home town near Edmonton, Alberta. For two years in a row, I've stayed at this hotel for the overnight rest. Although conveniently located on the main drag through the city, the hotel itself is quiet and cozy, and very near many local restaurants and stores that one might frequent when nighting over. The beds were incredibly soft, and clean. The bathrooms were the same. I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite in this hotel, so yay me! The staff were really friendly and the check-in/check-out process was quick and efficient. I will certainly be back when I head down to the states next February!

the staff are very helpful and friendly especially the cleaning staff are so nice and helpful and approachable, they always make you feel ok to ask them for more pool towels etc. the gardens and hanging baskets out front were particularly nice and well kept

our truck was broken into in the night and our tent was stolen, that was unfortunate.

I liked the quick & efficient check-in. I liked the rooms and the fact that everything was very clean.

I did not like the fact that the waterslide was broken, and the only reason we chose this hotel was the fact that it had a waterslide and the kids were really looking forward to it. There was no note or indication upon booking that it was down. I also did not like that there was a 3rd party restaurant on site and not a continental breakfast. The prices in the restaurant were too high to afford taking my whole family there.

Overall, it was a good stay. Outside it looks good. Great lobby. Great pool and slide. But the hallways and rooms are old and tired. This hotel desperately needs new carpets and a coat of fresh paint. It's long overdue.

Stopped here after riding the Alaska Hwy., hotel was very nice, rooms were 5 star, pillows are 5 star, bed was 5 star. These folks had good coffee the only negative would be low water pressure and I don't think that's there fault

We unexpectedly booked the penthouse suite for our family of 6 and we felt like royalty. Clean room. Great pool. Very close to train tracks so be aware as they came through at around 3 in the morning and startled me.

Everything was fine, except for one thing - the day before we arrived I called the hotel to ask if the slide works, as that was important for the kids, and the answer was that it works, and no need to worry. But after we checked-in, the staff told us that the slide doesn’t work since its broken. After we explained that we were told that it works, they magically fixed it. The next morning, the slide didn’t work again and they turned it on only after we spoke with the supervisor. I wouldn’t say a word, but they told us when I called that it’s perfectly working, and in fact they turned it on in the end. Looks like they just try not to turn it on until you insist.

My daughter was a huge fan of the water slide.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The outdoor area with dog run was nice. There are no hot tub and no free continental breakfast.

The restaurant is oddly fancy and has challenging hours on the weekend. Most breakfast places are a drive or a walk on the busy highway. Bed was comfortable and rooms were updates and clean Pool was quite chilly and unfortunately no hot tub.

Not good for walking to local restaurants. No sidewalks on that side of the highway. Had to wait for our chance to RUN across.

Our room had an awful smell and the front desk manager only offered a partial refund after several attempts of trying to rectify the situation. He did not seem professional and didn’t seem that he really cared. He blamed it on a long term stay that was in the room before we checked in…..something that I don’t believe he needed to share with us. He offered to move us to a downgraded room the following day for a higher cost which obviously wasn’t a fit solution in my mind. The next day he seemed more level headed and offered us a lateral move. The situation was handled in a poor manor, and I won’t be going back to this hotel the next time I’m in town.

I think they were the friendliest people that I have ever come across at a hotel. The only thing I don’t like is these taxes and the prices for hotels these days are pretty expensive and I would consider Airbnb.

There are two Prestige hotels in cranbrook. Must clarify next time that there are two. Had to go to both before finding the right one.

Great stay

We booked room for 5, so we got separate bedroom with own bathroom. Nice living room, with pull out sofa bed, with kitchen and dining table. We stayed one night only but room is so Spacious that is more than enough for longer stay. Pool is clean, slide is good for kids and parents too. Overall, very good place to stay.

This is a Lovely Hotel. Room was huge with a couch and a desk. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Cranbrook.

Restaurant closed too early

HORRIBLE - The greeting at the hotel was horrible. The front counter staff (male) was argumentative and not welcoming. We requested to be moved/accommodated in a different room (willing to pay the difference to upgrade) but staff denied request stating same was not available. Found an available room online as requested - staff hung up phone when called to request room change. He advised tomorrow's staff would approve request. NO ONE ever contacted us, or accommodated our request. We will not stay here again.

Bathroom had hair in it, no room service available even with a restaurant in the hotel.

It was clean and the beds comfortable

There was cleaning carts lining the hallway. There was teenagers running up and down the halls and making lots of noise till midnight.

Staff were excellent particularly Indian ladies at reception.Room was good. Restaurant in the hotel was 3rd party owned. It is Mediterranean food and thus different to what one considers tradional. Good however! It was typical of a number of the groups hotels I have stayed in and met all their standards. Indians on reception were special!
