Admiral Hotel at Park Avenue

It was our 2nd stay at this hotel, and on both occasions it has been a very pleasant and quiet stay. The staff were also very pleasant. The welcome soft drink and snacks were a nice touch. The location for Transport is perfect along with there being a lot of restaurants in the area. Luggage storage was ideal both on our arrival and when we left, so we were free to explore the city easier. Breakfast in the hotel, was enough to set us up for a good day out.

The bathroom was functional but it was small and very compact to move around in.

Welcome and friendly reception. The cold beer was a nice touch.😁

I booked and paid for myself and my family to stay in the admiral hotel and we ended up staying in another building instead. We didn't even have a normal bathroom, it was more like a plastic caravan bathroom which was tiny and dangerous as there wasn't enough space for myself,my husband or my family members to even have a shower. You stood up after using the toilet and would slip into to the shower tray. Very dangerous, especially at night time..the rooms I booked were in the admiral hotel with a normal full size bathroom and instead we were given this. This is not what I paid for. Was asked if we wanted to leave our luggage there while walking around, and glad I didn't as people were told to just dump there luggage on the floor near the reception desk/ communal room. No tickets to prove who's luggage is who's. Breakfast time was bad. Booked for 8.30 and still had to wait around with other families because the breakfast Room is so tiny that people had to wait for others to finish before you could go downstairs to the breakfast room. Tiny room where people we're passing hot food and drinks over peoples heads, including my two year old granddaughter because there was not enough space to walk around inbetween tables. The bacon and beans were cold and I didn't get a hash brown with my breakfast but the rest of my family didm . The continental breakfast was not a continental breakfast. It consisted of cornflakes, crunchy nut cornflakes, muesli and sunflower seeds, a tiny plate of sliced cheese and toast you made yourself. And took so long to come out.

Staff was very nice, let us leave our bags before check in so we could explore. Room was clean and came with toiletries. Electric kettle with tea in the room. Full english breakfast was a nice addition!

The motion activated hallway light would turn on every time we got up from bed at night, even though it wasn't in our room.

Gebucht hatte ich das Admiral untergebracht wurden wir dir 1. Nacht im Kingsley. Dort gab es kein Bad sondern eine Duschkabine aus Plastik. Keine Toilettenbürsten Haare in der Dusche. Wir haben dann ein anderes Zimmer bekommen etwas Kleiner aber immerhin so etwas wie ein Bad.

Det eneste positive var personalet, som var venligt og hjælpsomme.

Vi fik et værelse på et hotel 2 huse nede af gaden, som øjensynligt hænger sammen det det hotel, vi bestilte. Værelset vi fik var på 4. etage uden elevator. Der var spindelvæv mange steder og badeværelset stank af kloak. Endvidere fungerede det varme vand kun delvist - når der blev skruet op for den varme hane forsvandt trykket på vandet, hvilket kom igen (ind i mellem) når der blev skruet ned for varmen. Vi elsker ikke kolde brusebade! Morgenmaden var sparsom, specielt hvis man ikke er til English Breakfast. Desuden var der ikke plads til alle, hvor morgenmaden blev indtaget, hvis man ikke kom kl. 7.30! I så fald måtte man vente i kældergangen indtil det blev et ledigt bord. Derfor anmodede personalet også om at man spiste hurtigt og forlod morgenbordet straks, man var færdig.

Położenie hotelu idealne do zwiedzania Londynu. Obsługa recepcji bardzo zaangażowana i miła. Obsługa sali restauracyjnej (podczas śniadań) niegrzeczna. Śniadania okropne! Dania na ciepło nie do zaakceptowania. Pozostały tosty i dżem (raczej najtańsza galaretka w jednorazowych pojemnikach), okropna kawa i herbata. Możliwość pozostawienia bagażu. Okolica hotelu stosunkowo bezpieczna.

The staff was friendly. Strategic position. Hyde Park is very close. Paddington station is nearby. Welcome kit appreciated.

Breakfast management was terrible. The breakfast areas were inadequate and perhaps even illegal. Four tables for two hotels. Breakfast was timed, and people were left waiting at reception.Having an 18-month-old, we need time. We were called to leave, and I hadn't finished my coffee. Chapter room. After paying for the room they told me that the room is on the fourth floor without an elevator and with stairs like those of a 19th century hotel. Beyond that, the room was inadequate for three people, including a child. It was too small. It served as a lesson for me. There are many similar hotels in this area, but you need to check each one carefully. The prices of these "hotels" must be controlled by an appropriate authority.

We booked breakfast for 930, when we went down there it was packed and nowhere to sit so we didn't have any breakfast.

It is close to Paddington station, so very well located. Very supportive person at reception, helping when I had trouble with my travel plans.

We were booked into the Admiral hotel, which is what I paid for, with a proper safe bathroom.but instead ended up at another building further down the row . Room 209 The bed base was dirty around the sides. The mattress was too firm. Woke up with backache. Had no TV remote in the room and had to go downstairs to report it. There was only one drinking glass in the double room. Dirty marks on walls. Chair close to the bottom of the bed and kept stubbing my foot on it. One pillow case had been put on inside out. The bathroom was horrendously dangerous, far too small and shower was far too small for both myself and my husband to shower in. Left foot kept slipping down into the shower whenever we got off of the toilet. Which is dangerous, especially as I have balance issues. And we found it worse at night time , especially with the stepping up and down in and out of the bathroom ( which was the same as a caravan bathroom. Nowhere to put toiletries. Room 211 was just as bad as the bathroom also looked and felt like a caravan bathroom and was also dangerous especially with having a two year old child. The room was extremely hot and couldn't use the fan as it didn't seem to work and it was covered in thick dust. Booked breakfast for 8.30 am for family staying in both of these rooms and still had to stand waiting around in reception for quite a while, along with other families. Breakfast was not a full English breakfast and the beans were cold and my bacon was freezing. I didn't get hash brown on mine , but the other four people in our group did. Continental breakfast wasn't a continental breakfast either, there were three different cereals, toast and a small plate of sliced cheese. No pastries no yoghurt no fruit . The breakfast room is tiny compared to how many people there were staying there. People having to carry hot drinks over people's heads including my two year old granddaughter.

I stayed in Room 21, which was located in the basement. Unfortunately, the room had a number of serious cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues. The room and bathroom windows were accessible from an exterior staircase, yet there was no gate to prevent someone from accessing the windows, and there were no bars or other security measures. The room was also extremely hot and had poor airflow, even with the windows open. A fan was provided, but it had visible debris throughout the ventilation slots, as though it had not been cleaned in several seasons. There was also visible debris in the bathroom fan vents. Nearly everything in the room appeared to need updating or better maintenance. There were numerous stains on the carpet, refrigerator, and headboard. I pulled the bed away from the headboard and wall because I was concerned about bedbugs, and found that the carpet and floorboards behind the bed had clearly not been vacuumed or cleaned in a very long time. The bathroom had mold in the corners of the shower, a cracked shower drain, and a fraying fabric shower curtain. The toilet also had a maintenance issue: every time I flushed, the flush button popped out and had to be put back into place. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a hotel being small or dated, as long as it is clean, safe, and properly maintained. Unfortunately, this room felt as though the hotel was relying on its location in a world-famous city to attract guests without putting the necessary effort into making their stay comfortable or maintaining the property to an acceptable standard. Overall, I was very disappointed with the condition of the room and would not stay here again.

The room was very small. We were 3 and barely had room for 3 trolleys and bagpacks. Overall the furniture and interiors are in need of an update. Breakfast was just ok. Full english breakfast is available. If you are travelling in hot weather be aware that the rooms become very hot since there is no AC. A large fan is provided.

Non so come possano averlo classificato 3 stelle. Niente ascensore. Internet mai stabile. TV con antennina portatile (?!). Colazione terribile. Se poi pagate con una carta dell'eurozona, vi applicano un extra del 5% (?!).

Very well located and the staff( Kevin and breakfast Lady) were very nice. However, we had to go the reception to have cleaned towels and soap. The room was extremely hot and we were provided a fan that was not working well. We couldn’t even bend in the shower it was so small.Before you book, be aware to ask which floor your room will be located as I had to climb 3 floors with my 80 yrs old mother. We were also provided only 1 key for 3 of us. Breakfast was really not great, not even fruits. I was extremely disappointed. Your room won’t look like the pictures.

Nous avons finalement séjourné dans l'hôtel voisin (mêmes gérants de ce que nous avons compris), car ils avaient des chambres plus fraîches en cette période de canicule. Cette proposition nous a été faite lors du check-in. Nous avons été satisfaits de notre séjour, accueil très bon, chambre confortable, et petit-déjeuner anglais inclus très apprécié.

Ottima posizione a pochissimi minuti dalla fermata dei bus e dalla stazione della metropolitana di Paddington, personale cortese e sempre presente in reception, la "signora delle colazioni" deliziosa, frigo in camera molto utile, camere pulite e letti comodi, cambio degli asciugamani senza sprechi ma effettuati al bisogno, non c'è una stanza per il deposito bagagli ma ci hanno tenuto le valigie in reception il giorno della partenza, colazione ridotta e molto semplice ma con la possibilità di ordinare pietanze come pomodori, uova, bacon e salsiccia

La struttura non ha l'ascensore e nemmeno l'aria condizionata, l'ampiezza della camera è ridotta ai minimi termini con zero spazio per muoversi e molto poco per passare tra il letto ed il muro, inoltre la camera sembrava in pendenza, per le motivazioni esposte il prezzo pagato risulta leggermente alto in base al rapporto qualità-prezzo

The rooms we had was for a family so one double bed and to single and we also had 2 one year old and the room was tiny it was so hot that no one could really sleep they did bring us a fan which if we didn't have we would have gone home When we went for breakfast there wasn't even a fan in there it was stifling and they couldn't cater for two kids because they had no high chairs which meant we had to sit with the kids on our laps and try and eat so you can imagine to hot babies on your lap trying to get everything in front of you we walked out and found a cafe in the end which had air conditioning and high chairs the fire alarm kept going off over the breakfast period and the sink in our bathroom would not drain so we could barely use it It was shocking The staff was amazing and tried there best and it wasn't there fault at all just poorly advertised and would not say they can cater for family's with babies the weather didn't help again maybe they should invest in some better fan or air conditioning

They are not prepared for hot weather. It was extremely hot in the rooms and throughout the hotel with no a/c. They have a very steep and narrow staircase, and staying on the third floor was a nightmare. Both room and the bathroom were tiny. Poor breakfast options.

Das Zimmer war unfassbar klein, kaum Platz um sich zu bewegen. (Keine Möglichkeit zu sitzen, keine Ablage für die Koffer, im Bad kaum Platz) Während unseres Aufenthalts war es sehr heiß, daran kann man nichts ändern. Allerdings gab es kaum Möglichkeit das Zimmer runter zu kühlen... der vorhandene Ventilator hat kaum etwas gebracht... Das Frühstück lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig... Es gibt Müsli, das wahrscheinlich schon lange in den Behältern liegt, Brot und Marmeladen.... die kleinverpackten Butterpäckchen wurden von Tag zu Tag flüssiger, der Käse bekam eine "Schwitzschicht". (Nichts war gekühlt, Hygiene?) Die Spiegeleier trieften vor Fett... Kaffee war ungenießbar... Teppichboden im ganzen Haus hygienisch zweifelhaft... Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert Kühlschrank hat überhitzt Nachttischlicht hat nicht ohne Deckenlicht funktioniert. Aufladen der Handys hat nicht gut funktioniert. Natürlich ist es nicht besonders teuer (da darf man nicht zu viel erwarten), aber wir waren dennoch schockiert... absolut keine Empfehlung...

Great service from receptionist hotel Admiral Sussex Garden London, Anil & Kevin! My two friends and I arrived late and got a 3rd-floor room. Because of our age and health conditions, the next morning we asked for a lower floor. The receptionist, Anil, was incredibly kind and polite and switched our room. He even went out of his way to find us a fan in the new room! During the day, Kevin gave us plenty of useful information. Twelve points for Anil and Kevin. The bathroom faucets were very dirty, as if nobody had ever cleaned them. The sink drain was also clogged, and we had a broken chair in the room as well.

Veľmi milí, ústretoví a nápomocní celý personál. Izba bola čistá. Pomer cena kvalita bola perfektná. Na recepcií nás pri príchode prekvapili welcome drinkom podľa výberu a večer po príchode na hotel nás čakali donuty. Personál ochotne poradil v čomkoľvek sme potrebovali a upratanie izby aj počas iba dvoch dní pobytu milo prekvapil. Lokalita bola tiež výborná. Pár minút peši k Paddington station. Čiže kúsok na metro, vlak aj autobus na letisko. Taktiež Pár minút od Hyde Park, čo bolo na večernú prechádzku ako stvorené.

Na tomto ubytovaní som nenašla žiadne negatíva

Great little boutique hotel, in a superb location close to Paddington station and very friendly staff. Good full English breakfast was also served. Great stay.

Staff very friendly someone there 24 hours a day. Only 2 minutes from Paddington station and local shops and restaurants. Breakfast was full english with toast and cereal we had no complaints.

Our only concern was the mattresses seemed a bit lumpy.

Foto non corrispondenti alla realtà. Partiamo dalla camera. L’ultima volta che hanno lavato le tende e i vetri Winston Churchill iniziava lo svezzamento. Bagno con tenda, tavoletta del bagno rotta, calcare e sporcizia ovunque nella doccia. Testate del letto rosicchiate da Cip e Ciop per non parlare della pendenza della scalinata per arrivare in camera. Alla fine della seconda rampa come sull’Everest serviva bombola d’ossigeno. Sveglia naturale al mattino con camera infestata da un odore irrespirabile di fagioli. Praticamente dormi e sotto il letto hai la moquette che trasuda olio. Colazione da far invidia a cucine da incubo. Tazze e piatti lavati a mano e asciugati con la stessa pezza con cui si pulivano i tavoli. Dulcis in fundo il water in pendenza. Roba che ti siedi e ti devi allacciare le cinture. Grande NO

Location - I came to Paddington Station on the Heathrow Express at 9.00 am and walked to the Admiral Hotel and left my bag there so I could spend the day in London.

The room was so small I had to turn my suitcase on its side to get in the room. The shower was dirty and so small. I am 5 foot and lean and I could barely move in the space. The TV was linked to the network service and it dropped out constantly so after 5 minutes the tv said I couldn't watch without network so no Tv. There wasn't warm enough bedding - I had to wear a tracksuit to bed. Thankfully I was only there for 1 night. I have stayed in Paddington 4 times over the last couple of years in both hotels and Airbnb's - the Admiral is the worst accommodation and it cost a lot for 1 night. I won't return.
