The room in the old part of the hotel was excellent - four poster bed, large room and great view.
Breakfast could have been better. The chef struggled to make poached eggs.
Set in a great location
Food and bar terrible
Everything about this hotel was about average, so I can't think of anything I especially liked. Breakfast was below average. Our room was clean and very large. There was enough floor space to run a yoga class. The bed was comfy. They have a spa attached to this hotel which we didn't use, and it had a bunch of nice hot tubs near a lake you could sit in. That looked nice, but as we were just using this hotel as a hotel, we didn't have time to appreciate it.
Breakfast was pretty poor for me. I just want a little plain yogurt with nice fruit for breakfast. They had some so-so brand of sweetened yogurt in containers and some mixed fruit in a bowl with sugar added which was mostly melon. Not great in yogurt. They did have a bunch of cooked items - bacon, sausages, eggs, and such in warmers on a buffet line, so if you're into meat for breakfast you might be happier than I was. My husband made himself a bacon sandwich and was happy.
Location was nice and secluded
The room was un clean, dirt on the back of the curtains, We’ve been bitten by bed bugs, beds was rock hard, cobwebs everywhere and a stale smell on the stairs Food really expensive and below chain pub quality Drinks and spa was expensive and below par Couldn’t book spa and receptionist was terribly rude and put the phone down when questioned about her customer service skills, we eventually spoke to a great member of staff called cat who came up with a solution that was at least helpful
The staff were really helpful and cheerful. The food was exceptional. I would say my room was adequate.
Everything was good.
The staff were so helpful and friendly.
The rooms could use some updating and freshening up.
Lovely hotel, very kind and helpful staff especially Sophie on reception.
We could have done with a mini refrigerator in all the rooms to keep water and other drinks cool as well as medication for some people.
Leo from the spa was excellent. Friendly and professional. He really made our stay.
The grounds were beautiful
The property was perfectly located for us, as we were attending a family event in the village, but sadly attention to detail was lacking.
We booked this venue because it allowed dogs, but after the booking had gone through we received a call to say that dogs were not allowed in the room we had selected - which was the only one that fitted our family of five. They tried to move us but all other options were taken because of a wedding. We still decided to stay because of the location and left our small little pup at a friends house. The room was great - we had a huge amount of space in the hideaway which was the old spa. The kids loved the twinkly ceiling and all in all the staff were helpful, the room was clean and the facilities good. However, attention to detail was missing. For example, when I moved one of the single beds to push up to mine, so my young daughter couldn’t fall out, there were two pairs of slippers and a head band and dirt under the bed. The beds moved very easily on a tiled floor, so to have missed this in cleaning was a shame. Unfortunately, we paid extra for breakfast the next day, but when we arrived, there was nothing left except beans and hash browns. The order hadn’t been delivered, but to be honest, on a bank holiday, with weddings booked on the sat, sun, mon and tues, you would think they would know what stock they need and make sure they had enough in advance. We were refunded our £45, but explaining to three children that they had to wait for breakfast wasn’t an enjoyable experience. Luckily, we had family close by. I also had to take a work call from my room early in the morning. Unfortunately when I went to make a cup of coffee, there was no milk. Really not a drama, but again, the small things that make a difference. Given we paid almost £300 for the room on a room only basis, these little things left us feeling disappointed.
beautiful location. walking distance to the New Inn which had great food. rooms are a great size especially for the price and luxury feel of the hotel.
nothing
The room was very nice and the location, and the swimming facilities, with the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The view from the swimming pool in particular was amazing. Walton Hall's location across the bridge was nice.
The cleanliness could have been better. Overall the room was clean, but little attention to detail to the window glass, bathroom hair dryer area, etc. could have been cleaned better.
Beautiful place the staff are so friendly couldn't do enough for us would highly recommend if u want nice quiet weekend away
The rooms are very basic bit outdated but bed was comfy
The location was lovely, the water/lake/moat setting was beautiful as was the old building on the island, just a shame it was abit ‘tired’ (worn carpets etc).
Breakfast was average, Room we had was a little ‘tired’, also no usb ports for charging phones (forgot plug attachment), pillows on the hard side, tea making facilities underneath the case cabinet so extremely low, we moved it onto the dressing table top for a better height. Overall, a bit disappointed with the room really. The bar wasn’t that stocked either, a spritz drink I wanted from the drinks list wasn’t available (1 out of 3 was available) and the choice of wine was also poor, again disappointing considering we were at a wedding so stock should have been good.
Location and setting
Wedding noise
Absolutely beautiful place , stayed in the hall on the island stunning building and gardens, we did an overnight stay and booked the spa with afternoon tea and Prosecco, already checking when we can return ! X
Location
Breakfast
Great nights stay was peaceful and relaxing such a calming atmosphere. We loved listening to the water fountain especially on a night while in the room.
The only issue we had was the bathroom of room 65 had a bad drain smell but we just kept the door closed.
The scenery around the hotel
I liked every thing
My bathroom was full of spiders preventing me from having a shower in the morning Waited 1 hour in the restaurant for food
Vey poor
Very poor
Great location and great hotel - staff are brilliant
The evening menu could use a bit of updating and imagination
Good choice of hot and cold dishes
Food standing for long periods went soggy fried eggs were all burst and they just kept putting more in
Staff were fantastic and helpful.
Bit dated in certain areas
Amazing location
Not a great selection of alcohol and no bar snacks
Lovely views, super helpful and friendly staff and tasty food.
Toiletries in the bathroom are a little lack luster.
Beautiful surroundings. Hotel was smart.
The room was too hot even with a fan. For the money, I thought the room could’ve been better quite basic and the bed was on the small side. Thought the breakfast was just about average.
The staff were friendly...especially the spa staff. The location is good.
Firstly, the image of the hotel is not the hotel. You stay opposite the hall. I booked this hotel for a 2 night spa break for my friend's birthday. I'd requested a 3pm check-in, which was accepted. I arrived at 5pm due to traffic, and checked in. The room was filthy. Unmade beds, dirty cups and glasses, an overflowing bin. It clearly hadn't been cleaned before our arrival. I was given one free glass of wine and had to wait an hour and ten minutes for it to be cleaned. Definitely not ideal after driving 2.5 hours to get there. Once it was ready, they put a bottle of prosecco in the room as an apology, but the debacle didn't end there. The hotel is in desperate need of an update. Carpets and furniture are worn and very stained. The beds are harder than concrete. Our bathroom door was warped and made so much noise scraping along the floor, it was impossible not to wake everyone else up, the shower pole was broken and came off the wall of you tried to move the shower head, and the room was so hot, with no thermostat or air con. We chose to eat in their restaurant on our first night. The staff were lovely, and I explained that I am coeliac. The meal I had was definitely NOT gluten free, as it made me so ill. I spent the entire night in the bathroom, and will now be poorly for the next few days. Breakfast was OK, but the staff on that shift were rude. On day 2, I went to get a little food, and the table was cleared while I was up. Bye, bye coffee. Most of the chairs in the restaurant are so stained, too. It just doesn't feel clean. We booked spa treatments online...£95 each for a massage. Nothing on the site said that we would have to pay extra if we wanted to use the pool or spa facilities after our treatment, and there was a big sign on the wall offering the treatment we had, spa access, cake and prosecco for £75, so we felt pretty ripped off there too! The spa staff were absolutely lovely though, especially Mo.
Table to close, if you want a intimate dinner table much to close.
Breakfast was very good, Dinner not too good, chicken was very dry,the broccoli was undercooked. The lamb was lovely but the sautéed potatoes not cooked well. The room looked lovely but when you walked in the floor was very noisy, the bed mattress had collapsed very uncomfortable, tv was to small for the room could not watch it in bed, the bathroom door squeak when you opened and close it, tiles bye the bath needed regrouting, the day we was leaving at five to nine the housecleaning unlocked the door to come in not good,as we don’t have to book out till 11am.
Location and Setting is lovely. You drive through a council estate and low and behold there's a wonderful area.
Hotel wasn't in line with the hotel setting. Very run down and everything looked like it needed a refresh. Lots of areas that looked quite grubby and freyed aroud the edges.
Breakfast was good
Could only use leisure centre free of charge between 7-9am which was not mentioned at time of booking, leisure centre was advertised as free to use to paying guests with no time frame mentioned. To ask for £25 after that was really out of order, if I'd been aware of this restriction I wouldn't have booked this hotel.
Bed was comfortable and room large.
Bath was not very clean, room decor dated and dull, bedroom lighting poor. Communal areas were untidy with empty glasses and plates on every table not cleared away. Bar drinks limited and no full restaurant. Spa only available to use as part of your stay between 7am and 9am which is crazy. Outside of that 2 hour early timeslot you have to book and pay extra, even if you just want a swim or to use the gym. This purports to be a 4 star hotel so access to the gym and pool really should be included throughout your stay. This really isn't a 4 star hotel. It's sad as it could be amazing, but I can only assume the owners don't want to spend money on the building or rooms, nor train their staff. Stayed in the Premier Inn in Wakefield the following night for literally 1/3 of the price and the quality was 100 times better!
Spa facilities even though we had to pay and book to use them , something that wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking
The property advertised on Booking.com gives the impression that all guests stay in the same main building. However when we arrived with another couple we’ve been informed that our rooms were located in 2 different buildings with quite a distance apart. The receptionist was cold , unfriendly and refused to help with the request to stay together. Transparency is important and had we known this in advance we might ve chosen a different hotel. We were expecting a higher standard of customer service for a 4* hotel
Everything
Lovely and clean and staff were friendly and professional.
No fridge in a deluxe room
Lovely location - beautiful views over the lake. Amazing walk from the hotel around the neighbouring fields - well worth doing if you have time. The restaurant is good although the food isn’t amazing. The waiting staff were very attentive. The old hotel building is very picturesque.
Our room was a large twin room in the more modern part of the hotel- the size was great but the windows were blocked by plants and there was hardly any light and no view out. There was no fridge/ mini bar. The decor was a bit dated but it was clean.
Unbelievable setting, beautiful building
A little bit dated, fixtures and fittings need some money spending on them
Love the location - stunning. An oasis away from the city centre
The swimming pool used to be complimentary with your stay. Now 7-9am is complimentary and there is a £20 charge even if you’ve had a spa session and staying over.
Beautiful location.
It's a little tired and needs some care and attention
Area was nice. Size of the room was fine.
The room was dark with little natural light. We paid £175.00 (extra £20.00 for the dog), for a room and stay that was worth nearer £85.00. Poor value. The breakfast was very ordinary and basic, again I expected more considering the amount paid. We had to eat in the lounge (with the dog) but there was no set table, no staff around and no directions on how to actually get any breakfast. It was some distance away from the breakfast area and there were no trays to carry breakfast up into the lounge. We had to work it out and have several trips carrying what we could and finding cutlery, cups etc on other tables. The quality of the food was very poor with scrambled egg that was inedible. For the price I expected very much better. We had hoped to charge our car and although there was an electrical charging point it was not working. Very disappointing.
Great location beautiful setting room very nice
I tried many times in the 24 hours before my stay to contact the hotel to request an early check in so I could get ready for a wedding . My calls were unanswered and email not responded to disappointing
The views was lovely
No air con
No air conditioning, no safe in room, no alarm clock as advertised, no fridge in room, no water available considering hottest week on record, rubbish left lying around hotel and visible. Room had stains on carpets and on furniture, hadn’t been cleaned, bath legs rested on wooden blocks. English breakfast not available one morning, choice very minimal, just toast, one bowl of mixed fruit, a plate of melon slices, cereal in small boxes, no croissants or pastries, coffee from one jug, tea from sachets, minimal effort. No alternative for people with allergies etc.
Beautiful location and a lovely room. It was in the hall on the island on the top floor so great views of the lake. Clean room and friendly staff.
There was a wedding party on the same night which meant that there were a lot of people and noise. It felt a bit strange to walk through their drinks and canapés to get to our room.
The Food wasn’t very good quality for the money
Staff are lovely - very helpful, welcoming and obliging Absolutely beautiful setting and island "manor house" Lovely to be able to arrive late to avoid travelling in a heatwave Super swimming pool with wonderful view, which guests can use between 7 and 9 am Staff happy to help trouble-shoot any problems
Initially shown to a basement room with a hole in the wall, moth-eaten carpets (literally - complete with moths !) and the only ventilation a full -sized door onto a scruffy patio with a hugely noisy generator that would not allow sleep. When I said I couldn't sleep without fresh air, the night porter obligingly found me another room which was in much better condition - but with laundry trolleys blocking a window and again a very noisy generator outside (too noisy to allow that window to be opened) - The other window was fortunately a little further away facing the car park so let in slightly less noise - but it was still a constant loud thrum. The radiators in the corridor were also on in a heatwave ! Although the first breakfast was good, for the second breakfast the gas broke down so no hot food and nothing to replace it like cheeses or meats - A refund however was available if you decided not to eat there. I don't think the two rooms I experienced were worth nearly £100 a night.
The surrounding location a big lake and very pretty.
The rooms were requiring a refresh in decoration, in the sitting rooms etc, glasses food plates etc left by guests were still in the tables hours later. The downstairs stairs ladies toilet was broken had to walk a flight of stairs to get to the alternative. No air conditioning and. The bar man could not tell the difference between lemonade and tonic water completely ruined two double gin and lemonades. I could not eat my main meal I ordered Risotto and it was full of oil. In the morning they were not able to offer a cooked breakfast, however even the cold was abysmal, no cooked meats or cheese, no plain yoghurt or berries or pastries. Certainly not what I would have expected from a four star hotel. Very poor.
we ordered gluten free breakfast and that arrived 40mins later so long waiting time, In the room there was no a/c.....fan was not sufficient, it was hot. Not clear at the time of booking whether the room was on the island or the main land.
no a/c, late breakfast delivery
Beautiful setting, lovely big room and bathroom. Everything in the room from tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Didn’t use the spa but it looked amazing, hot tubs overlooking the lake.
Food and Drinks prices are shocking. £7.60 for a pint of San Miguel. These are higher than London prices. For Dinner I had Gammon with Egg chips and peas. The chips were clearly oven chips the peas were so overcooked they were tasteless, the egg yolk had already run out over the gammon. I ordered what they listed as half bottle of wine at nearly £13 this turned out was a large glass. Then there was a service charge. So for Gammon egg chips and peas and a glass of wine £39. When I first arrived I thought my wife would love it here but the Food and Drink prices and quality of the food I won’t be returning.
The location was great
The room was cleaned, good unfortunately the bed was old and uncomfortable. Grounds were in poor shape and lots of bird poop, absolutely everywhere. Cafe food was only distinctly average, breakfast buffet was cold. Overall very expensive and not worth the value.
The hotel, facilities and staff were fantastic
We had to come home
Beautiful grounds, accessible parking, and helpful staff made it an enjoyable overnight stay.
The grand cafe was expensive for the standard of food , roast aubergine was a very small portion and the chips tasted frozen. Our executive double was tired, stained worn carpet, cracked floor tiles , and no bottle water as stated on the website.
Great place peaceful in the evening.
No tea bags only camomile,
Staff were friendly
Poor choice of food for breakfast, nothing cooked to order all pre cooked stuff. For 4 star luxury hotel not good enough.
Evening meal and breakfast was very good. Great service from all the friendly staff. Their kindness really made for a wonderful celebration.
Beautiful setting
Spa and pool only available to hotel guests until 9am
Just the lake around the hotel
The rooms what I got was near the fan kitchen, and was running till 11:30 pm. Was impossible to sleep before that time and my kids was crying from the noise.
It was in lovely surroundings. It was very comfortable
Before arrival it took numerous calls to reception and reservations to make a query on my booking. No one answered the call until the following day. We were disappointed with the room as there were numerous insects in the room, spiders and Moths. Room 47. The bed had a visible dip in the middle which in my view would signify that the mattress is old and out of date. There was a large area on the glass of the emergency exit door where a bird had pooped on the window. We were on the ground floor which should have been easily accessible to clean before the next guests arrived The staff although pleasant did not present themselves in a good light. Not because of the staff but the clothing that revealed their tattoos. If they had a uniform that covered their tattoos they would have presented a professional look. Good things: The grounds were lovely, The food was really good The public areas were very well presented and appeared to be looked after, We had an issue with our access card and the staff were very polite and helpful. Unfortunately the bad comments were not just our own. The cost of the room was high for the condition of the room and compared to some rooms in a London hotel. I think an overall review of the above should be undertaken because these are things that matters to guests. It may sound negative but we were so disappointed with the room and cleanliness following good looking photos and some good reviews.. I hope the above is taken as constructive criticism and not a rant!! Thank you.. FA
Please see above
The shower, towels and breakfast were good and the dining area was nice.
The room was full of cobwebs and dusty, the room phone didn't work. The TV did it's own thing! The light mirror in the bathroom only worked on one side. The body lotion was location inside the shower at the far end! No drinking water in the room. The late reception staff on Friday got the rooms mixed up on check in, not great for the price! The room was dark during the day always needed the lights on. Oh and both windows were flithy.
The location opposite Walton Hall was beautiful and the staff were very pleasant I enjoyed an excellent dinner but breakfast was not up to par in my opinion.
My visit was spoiled by a fire alarm going off at 12.30pm due to a fault - compounded by a low level noise from the alarm sensor continuing for a further 90 mins after I returned to my room
Location
I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The service from the staff was not welcoming, and we felt uncomfortable during our stay. We only found out after arriving that the jacuzzi required an additional charge of £25 per person. Considering the already high price of the hotel, this was unexpected and disappointing. When we went to the pool area, there was another charge of £20 per person. We asked whether drinks were included or available to purchase, but after asking, we were completely forgotten and received no response. After paying all the extra fees, we were only allowed to use the jacuzzi for 15 minutes before being asked to leave because the next guests were due to arrive. This felt rushed and poor value for money. Overall, the experience was not what we expected from a hotel charging premium rates. We felt unwelcome during parts of our stay, and the customer service fell well below the standard we anticipated. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.
Location was beautiful itself.
This hotel needs renovation immidietly, it is in a poor condition. Hotel room bedsheets were dirty, no bathrobes or slippers in the room. Room had a wierd smell of dirtiness. No airconditioning. Restaurant was awful. Chef had no idea how to cook a proper french fries or risotto. Overall prices did not met the expected quality. Spa area was also in poor condition, outside the grass area had a geese poop everywhere. Not children friendly hotel at all. Very little timetable for swimming in the morning. Hotelroom cards did not worked properly. And while staying there had my kids sunglasses stolen.
Beautiful surroundings Friendly and efficient staff Dog friendly The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom.
Only a minor thing but it was very warm in the night and there wasn't any way to open a window so slept on top of the bed.
The hotel was aesthetically pleasing from the outside. Lovely location. Good leisure facilities Good breakfast. Staff were friendly. We stayed in the cottage which was lovely.
We booked for 7 people but were only given beds for 5, so 2 of our party had to sleep on the floor. We were told someone would contact us the next day to offer an apology and refund, but no one has been in touch yet for a month despite me emailing them. Also, the doorlock for one of the rooms was broken so we had to be let in by staff and had to be careful not to let the door close. The light in that room was also not working. There was damage to the curtains, and the washing machine was flooding the kitchen floor when we arrived. All this despite being told someone had prepared the cottage for us just that morning. It was offensive to expect us to pay full price for all of this and for sleeping on the floor or sofa.
I loved the accomodation and general atmosphere you can take beautiful pictures and create good memories and the staff are amazing and very helpful if you need help. Staff were very friendly.
I didn’t like their food their food was extremely bad and on our first morning breakfast items ran out and in general they is no variety on their breakfast menu. The fish we had for dinner was off and after complaining to the manager we were given a complementary dessert.
Arrival and registration was easy and quick. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Great location
Location, cleanliness, comfortable rooms
Beautiful location
No improvement required
Breakfast, Location, staff, room
Some of the decoration and furniture was not to my taste - classically styled. The gym was small and busy.
Good location and car parking Well trained staff
Poor quality bedroom with threadbare carpet The breakfast was just adequate with only cheap sliced bread ( no working toaster ) no pastry selection or fresh fruit selection No hot water machine for tea making ( only a thermos flask of water ) Luke warm coffee from a coffee jug
The property was situated in a nice area with the part of the hotel on its own little island which was stunning to look at
Upon check in we were allocated room 35, when we tried to enter there was a couple already in the room, we where then given a different room, the room was quite spacious, the bed was uncomfortable, the heating was on full blast & couldn’t be turned off due to a damage dial which had broken off, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant & the food wasn’t great. We were charged for a Pepsi which we didn’t recieve.
It was full of character & history
The Rain
The scenery the location is nice
The noise level the rooms are outdated the position of the rooms right through the bar area bed uncomfortable
Beautiful location
No phone charging points, tatty
Beautiful surroundings. Spa facilities good. Rooms nice but bit pricey for what you get. Expected gowns n slippers but non. Food ok but expected better. Staff helpful friendly and welcoming
Food not the best but acceptable Expect robes and slippers in rooms and wasnt any.
Beautiful location. Staff. Food.
Very noisy. Had a wedding on but didn’t inform us prior to stay.
Loved it and I am planning to go back
The property is beautiful. I was hoping it looks exactly like the pictures and it really does amazing
Staff are amazing especially Sophie on reception she goes up and above to ensure that your stay is comfortable and welcoming. Stunning location. Plenty of parking. Our dog was welco.ed and staff where amazing with him.Nice to visit a hotel that made us all feel welcome including Bailey. We will be back.
These are just recommendations as our stay was really good. The 4 poster bed post is right in the centre of the TV screen rather annoying. Guests outside at 3am still making a noise. Furniture in the room needs replacing as old and mirror very unsafe.Rooms would benefit from some updating.
every thing .the staff all of them were wonderful friendly and kind ,the breakfast had plenty of choice ,very good quality food ,the dinning room was lovely ,the whote was clean easy to get around ,the swimming pool was really nice but you can only use it for 2 hours in morning if not in your pacage other wise its 25 pounds for the spa and hot tub ,lovely lake around the hotel we sataed in main bit not the island ,but we had room 54 with four poster bed lovely big bathroom was so nice ,every thing was so easy to do heating straight forward ,the only hotel the toaster does it in one go ,shower fast and easy ,we had 2 days and was wonderful .easy to park and quite at night xx
the only thing we wish we could walk around the lake and you cant as their is a golf course next door
The scenery , size of the room we had. Evening meal was lovely , staff were attentive and friendly
Paying for using the pool Showers ceilings were mouldy Very noisy guests in restaurant in the evening which spoilt the atmosphere and staff ignored it Poor breakfast : coffee was warm not hot , hot food was cold , poor choice on continental breakfast considering it was 15 pounds
Comfy bed Great location
24hr Room service mentioned online not available in person Staff not helpful Poor organisation regards to special requests
The staff are very helpful 🙂 the surrounding area is beautiful and a perfect spot. Loved the hot tub as it gives you a perfect view of the wildlife. Loved it. The lemon cheesecake was delicious.
It's looking very tired in areas. I feel it could be a goldmine if everything was updated as the amenities are great. I had the chicken breast and have to say for the price I was expecting more. The chicken was overcooked. The ju was flavourless, and the carrot could have been cooked crispier. Very disappointed.
Very pleasant location
Uncomfortable bed
Great space for family get together
Booking and coordination of rooms was poor, spoke to too many different people £20 charge per person for use of pool for resident is disgraceful High cost of food and drink
The property is set in a beautiful location with lovely outdoor seating areas
Excellent location, great use of the spa and the room was superb. All the staff we met were the happiest and most helpful of any hotel we have ever stayed at.
Nothing
Lakes views amazing
No view from our window , bushes over grown and dirty window sills
Pretty setting, nice and quiet other than the geese!
Staff were polite but not particularly attentive. Had to ask for several items to be replenished on the breakfast buffet. Lots of tables left uncleared.
The staff were like a big family that would help with any needs.
It was a bit awkward walking in through a wedding party with suitcases but unavoidable I guess.
The restaurant was brilliant and the grounds are beautiful
The room was outdated and in very poor condition. We checked in and went to the spa which we found requires maintenance and updating. When we returned to the room we decided to check out and leave as it was dirty and poorly maintained. I wouldn’t stay in the hotel overnight due to the condition.
Pool and gym were good. Staff were helpful and friendly
Breakfast was awful. Plastic found in them, hashbrowns were soggy. Sausages were soggy. All tasted like they’d been steamed, which is a shame because the dinner the night before was fairly good.
Loved the setting.....the spa was one of the best we have been too ..
Can't fault anything...
The room was well equiped and clean, the bed was very comfortable, The staff are friendly and helpful, Good breakfast.
Food and drinks very expensive. no soap dispencers near the bath. Swimming pool should be free for guests.
Location and grounds lovely.
Our rooms windows were blocked up so we couldn’t see out. The room overlooked the roof which was dirty so understand why the hotel has done this. Not nice to be in a room where you can’t look outside. The room needs a good clean. Radiators were filled with years of dust. Cleanliness is only being done at very surface level. No deep clean has been done for a long time - that is very clear. Restaurant was over priced for quality of food particularly the dinner offering. Breakfast was very good
Room, swimming pool, sauna, steamroom, room.
Access to spa for guests. Gluten Free meal was disappointing.
Very nice for a romantic get away
The first room wasn’t very nice and could do with a mattress update
