Clean, modern great location

I didn't realize it was more than one building we were put out in the Franklin building which was fine but I would have preferred to stay in the main building which had the pool in the gym and the bar. However the building we were put in was quite nice there was no elevator though he had to walk just a bit to get into the main building

The room was fully equipped with amenities including a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast included a variety of eggs, bacon, potatoes and other breakfast items.

It would be nice if they had an elevator to the second floor. I requested a first floor room for that reason.

We were there 3 nights. We requested housekeeping after 2 and they honored that.

This has nothing to do with the hotel but the people above us were so loud until 3am.

Breakfast was awesome it was super clean the staff were really nice.

Wir waren für die U20-Leichtathletik-WM im Hotel. Stadion in Gehdistanz. Moderne Zimmer und ruhige Lage (in den hinteren Gebäuden gewohnt). Die Bar war sehr nützlich, sonst kaum Alternativen in der Gegend für einen Drink.

Nichts, manchmal hat es beim Frühstück eteas beim Nachschub gedauert, hatte aber auch sehr viele Gäste.

The breakfast could definitely be improved with more healthy options like fresh fruit, unsweetened Greek yogurt, unsweetened cereals, and less salt in the protein options.

Het ontbijt! Het ontbijt viel echt tegen en was de prijs van het hotel niet waard. Zeer beperkte keuze, kartonnen of plastiek borden, 0 variatie, enkel koffie was er voldoende!

The location is amazing, walking distance to Hayward field, and plenty of restaurants and good quality grocery stores nearby. The check-in service was very efficient, and staff very friendly. The room we had came with a small balcony that overlooked a beautiful creek in the back, which was very peaceful and a great place to get some fresh air. The rooms were very well sound-proofed, and were of reasonable size as well.

We stayed in a room in the Hayward building, which was a short walk from the main reception area. The building felt very dated and had a musty smell. Our room was also very dated, but functional enough. The air-conditioning unit was very noisy and would turn on and off during the night, so in the end, we had to sleep with it off. Overall the room wasn't bad, but could definitely do with an update. The two main areas of disappointment related to room cleaning and breakfast. We were four nights into our 7 night stay when I had to approach reception because no-one had made our bed or removed the rubbish from the bins in our room. I was told that the rooms were only serviced every second day (fair enough), but if there was anything on the beds, they wouldn't be touched. 'If there's a hairclip on it, they won't touch it'. I've never heard of such a thing before, so not sure whether this is a standard US policy. Later that day, someone did eventually come to clean the room, but it was just basically pulling the covers back and changing towels (ie no cleaning of sink tops, shower, no emptying of rubbish). We stayed the whole week with the same sheets. Again, I'm not sure if this is normal in this part of the US, but certainly not what I'm used to when travelling to hotels in other countries, where sheets are changed quite frequently. The other disappointment was breakfast. There were extremely limited fresh options for anyone trying to be healthy. Mostly sugary cereals and bakery items. Hot selection was almost always empty, with long delays between them getting refilled. In the end, we bought groceries from the Market of Choice store down the road and ate breakfast in our room, rather than eat at the buffet. Without doubt, the worst breakfast buffet I have ever come across on my global travels. And the wifi was very unreliable also.

If you are attending a Track Meet at Hayward Field, the propertie's proximity is AMAZING. We enjoyed the included breakfast, although a bit more variety each day would be even better. The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. For the price this hotel is really great value. The staff were really amazing, helpful and friendly.

As mentionned above, a little more variety in breakfast selections from day to day would have been great, but really good for the money nonetheless. As we were travelling with a person that had difficulty navigating the stairs, an elevator in all the buildings would have been great, but we knew ahead of time so this is not a complaint.

Het ontbijt is echt niet lekker en er is vaak al heel veel op. Er is helemaal niks buiten. Als je geen balkonnetje hebt, ben je dus aangewezen op de kamer waarvan de ramen niet open kunnen. Dat benauwde ons heel erg. Een paar leuke tafels en parasols buiten, zou heel fijn zijn.

The staff was friendly and inviting. They were helpful with the amenities and knowledge of local stores and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. Over a week stay and had an incredible nights sleep with the soft bedding and comfy pillows.

The property had several spider webs everywhere. Maybe do some cleaning outside and around the property and doorways leading to the rooms in the Franklin and Hilyard buildings.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war für amerikanische Verhältnisse wirklich gut.

Das Zimmer war nicht schön. Es war im Erdgeschoss eines externen Hauses und man hatte somit direkten Blick auf den Parkplatz und die Gäste in unser Zimmer. Das Zimmer machte einen alten Eindruck, aber am schlimmsten empfanden wir den unangenehmen Geruch, der von der Klimaanlage zu kommen schien ggf. in Kombinationmit dem Teppich. Wir haben die AC aus gemacht und erstmal über die Balkontür das Zimmer gelüftet, dann ging es mit dem Geruch bei ausgeschalteter Klimaanlage. Wir waren froh nur eine Nacht dort zu sein. Auch der Teppich im Zimmet ist definitiv nicht mehr zeitgemäß und müsste unbedingt entsorgt werden.

The location was excellent. The little ducks quacking outside of our window was a fun, authentically Eugene touch.

I'm not a big fan of the Franklin where the hotel is located

Check-in was easy and front desk rep (David) was courteous and professional. He also gave us a map of University of Oregon. The rooms were spacious and I loved how the room has an empty fridge, microwave and a Keurig machine. I also loved the bath amenities. Lastly, location location location. If visiting University of Oregon, it's right across the street.

We arrive at the breakfast area around 900 am and food items were almost gone. People were standing around trying to find out on whether there will be more food or not. There was no staff around dining area. I wished they had more fresh fruit selection (they only had apple).

The location was perfect and all of the amenities were also perfect. Traveling with a baby now it’s so hard to find somewhere that works and is clean. This is our best stay in over a year!

We really loved the location, the breakfast was excellent and I liked the market.

The room we stayed in smelled a little musty.

Staff were friendly, room was clean and quiet throughout the night, location was great in close proximity to many restaurants and shops, breakfast was tasty and overall price was fair for the experience we had. Will definitely stay at Hayward Inn again.

Location to game was convenient.

There was a bloody tissue on our floor and where staff told me to park with a yellow over flow ticket, and I got a parking ticket for $50.

We were given a room in a separated building. We had to walk across a parking lot to get to this much older and out of date building. There was no elevator so we had to walk up some dirty stairs while carrying our luggage, although the front desk person offered to help bring the bags to our room.

It should have been more clear when booking that we were in the outbuilding, not the main building. For the cost of the room, the bathroom was too small and the toiletries were low quality. There were also two yellow stains on the top bedding.

My bed was squeaking every time I moved. Disappointed there was no Netflix or Amazon access. We had noisy neighbors in the middle of the night and staff didn't answer phones to handle situation.

Fitted sheet wouldn’t stay on the bed. Bathroom and shower/tub tiny—very motel-like. Hallway carpet was dirty.

I love the location, the amenities, the pool, the continental breakfast lounge to have a drink. Has a shuffleboard and some games which is a very good idea. The lobby, lobby, bathrooms, bar lounge, continental breakfast area is very clean and modern looking.

I didn’t particularly care for the staffing, seem to not be very caring, compassionate, empathetic, and our room not being ready until almost 530 seemed almost like a non-issue to them. We had been at the hotel since 230 pm and we were continually told we don’t know when the room will be ready. We’ll let you know. Which they never did let us know we had to keep bugging them and asking. We requested a room with a Riverview. We have a nice deck that overlooks something that looks more like a swamp than a river. Seems kind of peaceful out here on the deck, but I’m surrounded by cobwebs everywhere. Looks like something was either spilled or pee in the corner of the deck all kinds of leaves and debris just sitting on the deck like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. If I’m going to sit on a deck, with my drink or a cup of coffee, Id like it to be clean and feel comfortable. I’d like a deck that is clean, swept and not look like something either peed, or spilled on it and I don’t want to be sitting on a deck with a bunch of cobwebs everywhere. This would be appropriate for a haunted house, but not for luxury hotel.

Lack of elevator access for 3rd floor room should probably have been mentioned at the time I booked the hotel. I am mobile, but for older adults with mobility problems this could be a challange with suit cases.

I did not get a chance to try the breakfast so I cant comment on that, but the room was very comfortable, had good temperature control and I appreciated that there was a nice thick extra blanket in the room!

The only thing that could have been better was the balcony - it looked over the creek/river and was a nice place to lounge on a warm day, but it would have been nicer if the table and chairs had been dusted recently - there were lots of spiderwebs and dust all over the balcony. Its probably hard to keep clean since its in the trees but just wanted to mention that it felt kinda gritty out there.
