We had the junior suite which was huge lovely fireplace bed was really comfortable pillows were too nice soak in the jetted tub after a long drive , breakfast was nice scrambled eggs sausage and baked beans good options would definitely stay again

Highly recommended

Can’t Venetian travelling but dated compared To new options. Primary perk is location

Accommadating réception. Appreciated!!

Front desk staff are always very courteous and friendly. Rooms are always clean and hotel is very well taken care of. Nice to have the lake close buy to walk the boardwalk.

Great place! Very clean and friendly.

We had an excellent stay, beds were comfy, the room was huge…loved the stay

good for one night

Quick check in, receptionist was pleasant & professional.

Seemed recently renovated and over hotel conditions were really good.

Property was close to downtown and easy walking distance to a park, room was very spacious and clean. Coffee machine in the lobby was excellent.

It was fine

Breakfast is pretty blah but the espresso machine available 24h is fantastic. The pancake maker doesn’t work very well. The rooms on side of train is very noisy. Pet friendly room was cute with bowls and a pet bed and treats which was a well thought out bonus. The gym and sauna is nice

Friendly staff, comfortable room, great location, good breakfast. Would stay again.

Fruendly staff very welcoming they took the time to talk with me and my wife and the establishment was very clean and very confortable bed.

Great place for a one night stay.

Its ok for one night while traveling. The room's carpet is in desperate need of cleaning.

Nice hotel! Fast, easy and friendly check in and check out. The hotel and rooms are clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Convenient and free parking. There is a good restaurant right across the street. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

The hotel was very clean!! Everywhere! The room was large and comfortable with a desk and chair as well as a chair and ottoman. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with lots of options including a great coffee machine! If you need to be in Cochrane for any reason, this is a great hotel and as I said clean! That is #1 for me!

I'm not fond of the location to the trains, bit. Noisy @ night, otherwise nice room.

Awesome place

Perfect location for taking the train, right across the street. There is also a bar/restaurant at the train station. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Great stay

Loud buzzing sound throughout the entire night. Unable to sleep. Front desk unhelpful and rude.

Average property, beside the rail station . The steam room and gym were closed when we visited fireplace and our room made the room smell like natural gas that’s

Nice hotel in a quiet town. Very clean and decent breakfast.

Great staff, the sauna and steam room are very nice after a long drive. Breakfast had a lot of options and kids really enjoyed the hot chocolate machine and pancake maker.

We were in a 2 bed mini suite with a kitchenette and fold out couch. There was plenty of room for everyone. The hotel is quiet and has an excellent breakfast. The kids loved the pancake machine and we really enjoyed the sauna and Hammam/steam room after the long drive.

It was a great stay. Staff were very helpful & pleasant.

Older hotel but clean. Loved the heated floor in bathroom. Breakfast was ok.

Great clean and quiet hotel

no réception at 19h30 and I have to calla and call. Room was not what I wanted. TV set didn't t work fora long time Microwave un plugged. minimum ameneties 1 small soap and minimal towels.

Room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and lots of comfortable pillows. The breakfast options were great. Lots of choices, even with the coffee machine. Staff was friendly. We were having trouble with the remote and they brought another one up right away.

.

It was a great place to stay in Cochrane for a brief stay. Clean and friendly.

I was booked in for three nights last Thursday, Friday and Saturday and when I arrived after a 6 Hour Dr. on Thursday evening, only for the hotel to tell me there was no booking for me and no room to stay even though I had confirmation on my Hotels.com app.

Loved the rooms. Clean & spacious

Hot breakfast was included. Room was clean and quiet.

Very friendly staff and hotel in good condition

Friendly staff

Very nice room. The window leaked from condensation pretty bad over an electrical outlet

Clean and comfortable.

Clean, beautiful interior, quiet, close off highway, good breakfast. Repeat stay.

Rolled a joint in my room and was charged $250. It should be in their policy that you can’t even bring cannabis in your room or you will be charged. It’s one thing if you’re smoking it but just having it in your possession they will charge you. Tv didn’t work either.

Loved the place, quiet and peaceful. Free breakfast was great and coffee machine available 24/7 was used profusely. Thank you

Do not rent the queen rooms, they absolutely do not have queen sized beds they are at best doubles.

great price! clean room

Clean and comfortable

.

A comfortable stay.

Automatic doors to make it easier to bring in baggage

Excellent breakfast! Good service. Friendly staff

Across the train station, helpful staff, clean room and good internet

Thanks Vivian for the welcoming smile when we arrived. After a long trip in it was so nice to feel appreciated as a customer and informed of all the amenities in the hotel. This hotel is ideally located less than 100m away from the Ontario Northland train. It offers a great variety for breakfast. It will continue to be where I gravitate towards when I come to Cochrane

Not much to eat in the area, and the bed was extra firm, but other than that the area is easy access to the north, and provides the same common ammenities you find in the south, which are harder to come by when travelling through the north.

Small breakfast area

easy to locate for out of town people.

By rail station

Great place

Didn't feel safe. The neighborhood is not really healthy. Was worried to let my car in the parking as there look like a drug dealing spot is next to the hotel.

It is across the road from a train station. So its not always quiet. Even in the middle of the night. otherwise this hotel is great! service is good, room is as advertised, breakfast. good spot.

I was on transit, room was clean and comfy but rather noisy due to a/c fan and outside traffic, I was to take off around 6 am anyways but for vacationers a forced wake up call at 5:30 is probably not welcomed. This doesn’t meant to be a negative comment.

Stayed one night and reception people, cleaning were super nice and helpful. Made for a great stay. Breakfast was good. Loved yogurt machine instead of little yogurt cups.

👍

We travelled for a hockey tournament. I like the big clean rooms and variety of breakfast options.

Check-in was nice and smooth and the room was very clean and comfortable

Great place to stay, staff is super friendly and helpful.

Good for snowmobiling

Best option in town

Staff were amazingly hospitable and so kind. Cochrane is Cochrane so there's not much around but there are some good places to eat. Heading back there in March for work again. Will stag again!

I liked that the property was close to the train station but this also made for a noisy stay. Other than the noise it was good.

Great staff. Nice clean rooms. Great proximity to the train station if you are going to Moosonee for the day. Breakfast was good. Staff were very caring and told us about the exercise rooms as well as other facilities.

Nice hotel, clean rooms and good staff. Will visit again. Close to nice walking trail in neighbourhood and close to amnesties. Beds were comfortable and washroom was clean. Coffee machine had many choices. Satisfied with stay.

Staffs are very nice

Checking was professional, and friendly. Room requests were met. Common areas including outside were kept clean. Staff would go around outside and pick up garbage daily. Parking was good, with plenty of organized space. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was busy, yet still quiet. Breakfast included machine OJ & AJ which were good. There is a high quality coffee machine which produced good coffee. Two hots items were offered each day such as eggs, bacon or sausage. Instant oatmeal, muffins, bread, fresh fruit and a waffle maker were present. Yogurt was a machine variety but we did not try. The hotel is right beside two small lakes / ponds with excellent walking.

Accomodated a latw chwxkin and checkout for me no problemo Best bubble bath ever! Everything waa lovely just the bed was not my type and the fireplace did not work. Staff is awesome, breakfast was good

Nice clean place. Big rooms

The staff were friendly

103 A LITTLE CLOSE TO THE ROAD FOR NOISE, APART FROM THAT THE ROOM AND SERVICE WAS FINE

Great 2 day stay ....comfy beds .....nice outside seating area with BBQ

Near train station and beautiful lake to walk around

Room was very clean and it was a nice large room!

It’s was right across train station. ButTV did not work . They could not fix it .

The complimentary breakfast is always good here, lots of variety. I also enjoy the nice, spacious rooms and the gym and sauna. I always enjoy staying at The Swan Castle Inn.

Staff was friendly. Located right across the train station so you hear and feel the train going by at night. Says no pets allowed so I made accommodations to not bring my dog yet saw people with dogs in the hotel 🙄 and nothing happened when I notified the staff The room was ok bed was hard and there were dirty black fingerprints on the bathroom door which was gross ! The breakfast is not great for the eggs but the rest was good enough to please everyone. Loved the pancake machine and muffins. The rooms were pretty quiet even though it was a full house when we stayed during the long weekend. It’s probably as good as you can get in cochrane wasn’t the worst hotel I ever stayed at but for the price the quality wasn’t there.

Located in the old part of Cochrane .. not many restaurants in the area . There were only 2 place open after 6 pm . If you are willing to drive there are places within 5 -10 mins drive

Good location

The property is great

Very Clean. Room is large.

We stayed in the theme room and it was a very unique, fun and very comfortable stay

This hotel isn’t worth the excruciating price you will pay. The air conditioning machine was horribly loud and the greasy/sugary breakfast isn’t worth the price you will pay. Yes, it is safe. If you’re on the road and absolutely need to stop here, you can. However, if you can avoid it, keep driving and sleep somewhere else.

The motel was very clean and comfortable. Well situated and secure. Good value for a motel and I would definitely recommend it and I would also stay there again, if needed for my situation. The layout of the breakfast area was quite nice and a good assortment for everyone. The motel had a fresh new appearance and easy to maneuver through. There was ample carts for use, if needed and the parking lot was quite large. The outside appeared well kept as well.

Been booking here for years before I go to the lodge, nice place to get some sleep and relax.

Great value and walking distance to the train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean view from the room was great.requested a late booking and staff was great to work with .

Satisfied

All was good for us, close to the OFSC trails.

Great stay, only small issue was the kids running up and down the hall all night and no happy medium with the heater. We were either too hot or too cold all night. Other than that great service and great hotel.

Comfortable

The Best Western in Cochrane, Ontario was extremely clean in every area. It feels like it is new or recently renovated. Very comfortable public areas. Room was large and very clean. Fitness area was great with dry and wet sauna, very new and extremely clean. Internet was fast and easy. Receptionist was polite and very helpful. Easy free parking at back of hotel. Breakfast was great, plenty of selection and good. Only a few minutes from the highway.

Location was perfect for snowmobiling

It was great
