Park House Hotel

On the whole it was very clean, food was good, staff excellent, had to ask for another room, I thought I’d stepped back in time 30 years, it wasn’t what I had seen online!! I was so disappointed, I wasn’t going to say anything, as I was only there for one night, maybe because I was a single person ? But I decided to say something and the receptionist put me in an another room, so far superior to the last one! Which I really appreciated ! Lovely and clean etc and comfortable!

Seaview room was very nice. Stayed in a solo room with an ensuite. Room had a kettle, clothes storage and a bed. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was like a time capsule to the 70s. Not very modern and quite small. Breakfast was included in the stay and I had the full breakfast each day. It was a great way to start the day. Parking on site is £10 a day There was £50 deposit for breakages per night too that I was surprised with on my check in. Of an evening the entertainment was nice, usually bingo followed by cabaret. The staff at the hotel were lovely and they have 2 bars. The hotel definitely feels like it needs a bit of modernisation in places. That's not to say it was bad, it was nice but wasn't cheap. However the surrounding area is very run down, a lot of derelict buildings and closed up store fronts. A short walk (about 10 mins) South will take you to the tower and the more lively area of town.

Room : big family room . But not very child friendly to access 208 with a pram /suitcase stairs x3 after a lift didnt help.one of.us is disabled and cudnt carry case /pram . Windows started let in water due to rain outside . Toilet area : no baby changing area and seemed.to only be one toilet near bar area ( no signposts for any other ones :( ).no sign of disabled toilets either Food : very good portion size and lovely food but slow service in morning for cooked breakfast/ hot drinks,toast some Lovely restaurant staff but some were more attentive to the older generation than family with hungry baby. Overall rate as not child under 5 friendly .

I wasn't there for the shopping, just needed a break as it was a long time coming, everything was perfect, i felt i could free roam without questions asked, the staff were amazing, cannot fault them, i am a night owl, i sleep or i don't and the last night before i left i had a conversation with a member of staff named Seamus and he told me that was only his second shift at Park House Hotel, i was blown away, he was so happy to listen to my troubles, was brilliant all round, no faults whatsoever. Thank you. The only downside was the room key system, i thought it was out of date to have a key to have to lock the room when you leave it, i think that might be a thing that really needs updating with a key card and on leaving the room it automatically locks but other than that no qualms.

Room on website was not the room we were given. The room is decorated from the 80’s as is the pink bathroom suite. Wallpaper hanging off the wall. Not as advertised at all

Beautiful Hotel with very friendly welcoming staff nothing is too much trouble for them. Excellent food 5 stars to the Chefs and kitchen staff. I highly recommend the Coddled Beef Steak to any meat eaters it’s delicious as was all our meals. Added bonus of evening entertainment with lovely chatty bar staff. I will definitely stay there again.

the second bed was not up to what i wanted as you could feel the springs the afternoon snack was very good plus very good breakfast.

We booked this hotel as we had family getting married there. We knew the hotel must be nice with family getting married there but it was even nicer than expected. We booked family room. Room 325 we were allocated. This room was modern and spotlessly clean. The room was a perfect size and lots of storage space which was great as we had 2 suitcases with us. We had breakfast included. Food was lovely and staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will defintely be back thank you

Have stayed at Park House twice now. Love everything about the hotel.It is a little run down in the corridors but that just adds to the old charm of the place. Staff are pleasant and friendly and always willing to help. Good choice for breakfast, food cooked well and tasty.Our Grandson loves his stay here for the illuminations. Thank you all at Park House.

I have stayed at this hotel a good few times before but this was my worst experience and the hotel seems to have gone downhill. Arrived at check in desk and man behind reception very unhelpful and said well I can’t check you in and just pointed to another worker who I needed to wait for. This is fine but why even have someone behind reception who can’t check in guests. Booked as a family room for me my mum and my 2 toddlers: the room is labelled “family room”. I wouldn’t exactly call a double bed and a pull out bed adequate for a family for the 3 nights we stayed. The pull out bed was so uncomfortable

A sea view involves standing on your tip toes to look out the high window . I’d rather not be told about the sea view as you expect a full view only to be disappointed

I booked this room for 3 adults and 2 children. The room was amazing for the price and although the hotel building is a good old age, it was quite modern in the room. The only issue was the squeaky floorboards, which everyone got woken up several times throughout the night, when one of the group needed to go to the toilet

Hotel was clean good breakfast. Parking was a nightmare and didn't like the policy of leaving your car keys with reception and they would move your car if thet needed too.

The hotel is quite and clean. Staff members are very kind and helpful. The beach and all the amusement are very close only a few minutes walk. We had a really good experience.

The room was absolutely fine and comfortable, spacious and modern. But the bathroom was a disappointment. We had to point several issues out number of times since the day we got there right until the very end. The shower was the worst, the water flow was very slow. Knowing that we had young kids, we were on the very top floor which was a slight pain, though they had lifts, so the water flow affected. Also the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest when they did the service next day, so we had to point this out as well. Other than that, the staff at the hotel were lovely and friendly, and the location wasn’t too bad either.

Sea view rooms are on the side not front of property interior of property clean but old floors uneven and course trip hazards very creaky to walk on no warning signs rooms clean and tidy evening entertainment good

We had a lovely time at the park house hotel just stayed the one night as we had booked a show at the winter gardens will definitely be back

The staff were very good. Nothing was too much for them. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and peaceful in our room although there was entertainment on the ground floor and a wedding reception in the basement. If i had to make a criticism it would be the matresses in the room. Not the comfiest.

We had a great stay in family room, relaxed breakfast with cereal, fruit and yoghurt options followed by freshly cooked hot available - with a different special item each day. Close to Blackpool tower but tram stops almost right outside anyway. Found car park usually always had space (it is £10 a night but we expected that!). Didn’t go to entertainment as kids had busy days but what we saw looked great.

We thought we'd try somewhere that wasn't a chain, but definitely be going back to the chain hotels on future visits to Blackpool after this experience. Pros: Close to the prom and beach. Bar was handy and staff friendly. Cons: Housekeeping & maintenance - marks on the duvet cover and mould marks on sheets; used cups not washed/replaced; only two towels provided for 3 people, even after phoning reception and waiting 30 mins they didn't arrive in time for us to all shower, so one of us had to use the hand towel; floors clearly not hoovered as the same bit of plastic was still on the floor in the same place on our second day. The outside of the window was dirty the seaview was blurry. Comfort: The most uncomfortable, hard double bed we've ever slept in, please get a mattress topper, and a single bed which rocks every time you turn over. Reception staff: One was clearly unhappy in their work and took so long to look up from their desk the woman in front me gave up, they finally stood up with a visible sigh. Customer care: If there is going to be a race outside your hotel, which means guests who have already paid to park there, won't be able to get to the hotel by car between certain times, then warn them, either verbally at check-in or with signs around the hotel! Facilities: Very slow lifts. A very old vending machine which only accepts coins. No hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes. Very old fashioned to have to give in our key every time we went out.

The room we stayed in was up and down many little stairs and corridors as if the building was many joined together. That was even to get to the lift. Room was clean and fresh bedding but very dated. Windows were filthiest I've ever seen and may not have been cleaned for years.

My friend and i stayed with the All inclusive package. I feel was great value for money, i enjoyed all the meals as they were to my tastes. The staff are very helpful and polite - we had a young man on his first day who was nervous (bless him) but he done great! The rooms decor and furnishings are outdated, and we only had a bath (which i had not realised) and the mattresses were far to springy and soft for both out comfort. Overall, It is a 3 star hotel so you get what you pay for feel it is worth the money.

The room has everything you need in it . Great entertainment every evening

I had to ask to move rooms as the room we had, has no shower at all, not even a over the bath one. As im epileptic I cant have a bath. Asked at reception & the lady asked if u had stated it when booking, I said I wasnt asked & have never known a hotel with no shower. We moved rooms but the receptionist seemed annoyed with me for asking.

Lovely hotel the room.was perfect for myself and 2 kids. Only thing i wasnt happy about was when i booked there was no mention of a £50 returnable deposit taken when paid for the night. This left me a little on the short side for the 2 days. They released the deposit after check out but said it mite take up to 5-7 days til i see it back in my bank. Parking was a charge of £10 which i think is a bit steap considering i paid £167 for the 1 night !!Apart from that it was a lovely stay with complimentary breakfast.

£10 per night to park not in review plus £150 secure is only told to you when you book in. Concert room no toilets near to go as they are other side of reception through another bar.

Room 200 was newly-renovated so good. Another couple in our party were given an unrenovated room which had a stained mattress and tatty bathroom. They demanded a move. Food good. Bar nice. Wedding very well organised

Good location, parking fee wasn’t mentioned on booking until check in. Rude receptionist on check in but lovely lady on check out. Friendly in the bar, food not great - made us all poorly and I didn’t eat breakfast as the bowls/plates etc were dirty. Fine for an overnight stay but wouldn’t return.

We did enjoy our stay however a few a things did let the hotel down. We stayed in a family room and the sofa bed was not the comfiest. We did move a single bed towards the wall upon requested by our teenage son as his bed was close to ours. Upon doing this revealed under the bed to have rubbish and bits from previous guests. Floors were super creaky and though the bathroom was a generous size the water pressure was really quite bad. We also asked for a seaview room which we got. However it was pretty hard to see out of when the windows were extremely dirty. The Staff were very nice and helpful and and the foyer area and bar areas were clean and comfortable. We didnt eat breakfast or dinner as we found it to be expensive as a family of 4 so cant comment on the food.

Internet was spotty, rooms look brand new but small, very clean, daily cleaning, not happy about having to pay £10 per dsy for parking at the hotel the cost should be in with the price of your stay and apparently because i booked through holiday. Com or any other 3rd party hotel charges £50 per night upto a maximum of £150, for damages which is ring fenced and returned when you leave, i don't know how many days it takes to appear back in my account, which actually put a damper on my break as i was relying on that money. Booking through booking. Com wasn't the problem but i never saw anything when booking regarding car parking charges or damage charges.

We found the whole experience very good. Hopefully we will be able to visit their again

Just got back from a Lovely little break away, rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just right and options available for evening meal available. Parking on site. The tram stops 2mins walk away into Blackpool 3 stops along.The staff were amazing nothing too much trouble, very friendly and approachable. Will definitely stay here again xx

There was a 50 pound deposit I had to put down that I wasn’t made aware of before hand. The room has stains on the carpet and wardrobe. There was a stain on the ceiling, and when it began to rain I realise the stain was due to a leak above as it dripped all night keeping us awake

My only gripe was we asked for a sea veiw which we got one. Only it was for someone that was over 5 feet tall.

A great position on the sea front. The room was spacious but was a little tired in places and electrics hanging off the wall rather than being fixed. Check in was ok but having to pay a £50 damage deposit , then being charged £10 to park in their own car park was not good. Evening meal was not as good as previous visits , the ham was awful as were the chips. The soup and cheesecake were good though. Breakfast was good but I asked for two sausages as I didn't have Bacon but only got one. I saw on the menu you have to pay to "double up" so maybe that's why. We will not be in a rush to return.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. All the staff from reception, housekeeping & in the dining room were very helpful, friendly & professional. The breakfast was fresh, well cooked & really tasty. Hotel is very big and can be a bit of a maze at first finding your way around.

Great hotel

I had made a booking in March for 2 single rooms as it said there were no double rooms available, paying the same price for both rooms, on arrival my colleague was given a family room which was huge and I was given what can only be described as a broom cupboard. I queried this, bearing in mind we had both paid the same price. The staff on reception were very helpful, and I was offered another room which I checked out and again is was a large family room, sadly the door wouldn't lock, so I finally settled on another room which was offered, again another large family room. My colleague was on the first floor and was disturbed by the noise from the entertainment below which goes on until after 11.30 every night. Breakfast is good, it is really nice to be served hot food, the bar meal that we had was adequate.

Hotel was great only issues were additional charge of £10 per car for parking and if using 3rd party to book you need a deposit of £50. None of these charges were mentioned when booking

Great place to stay .good location short walk to the attractions. Slight issue with water pressure from shower but other than that was a great couple of nights.

The hotel was very good in terms of condition in some parts, other parts needed some maintenance. Entertainment was good, with a relaxing environment. Plenty of food on offer, but during the stay I was eating out with family. Overall a decent 2 night stay.

It was ok, 2nd time staying here, 1st time was better we had a room with a view this time it was a brick wall so would advise to book a room with sea view. Room was small, bed small room hot but did have a fan. Had to pay parking, we didnt last time and had to hand over our car keys aswell as a £50 deposit on the room

This hotel is in the middle of a refurb and will be great when done plz don’t accept a back room as you kept awake till late with the entertainment but staff were out standing and very welcoming

Comfortable stay in the hebden suite, Comfortable beds, spacious, lovely breakfast in the morning. Would recommend a stay at park house. Only negative for me is this £50 holding fee they take on check in for any breakages, some people have a strict budget and this amount is alot to most people so this would deter some potential customers feom staying here.

Room was very dated but clean. Bathroom was virtually unusable because of the smell of drains and actually woke me up in the early hous because the bathroom door was slightly open. Didn't even clean my teeth next morning and had we been booked in for a second night we would have asked for a change of room. Shame really as hotel was generally clean but our room should never have been let out.

Room looks very modern, but the cushions that are on the bed for dressing only were dirty and stained. I’d sooner not have dirty decorative items placed on to clean bedding. Curtains were also dirty and stained. Sink in bathroom was tiny. Water was only luke warm so unable to shower until I returned home (thankfully only one night!).

it was fantastic stay at the hotel , very clean and tidy room with sea view , the night performance at the hotel ballroom was pleasant with local artists ,we enjoyed a lot & hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful ,wow factors overall
