Alphonse Hotel

Parcheggio vicino. Molto sodisfatti.

Dans l’ensemble assez bien, personnel agréable. En revanche petit déjeuner manque de variété. Bien situé, proche des commodités.

.it was good

Amazing , best property in Istanbul , staff are nice , rooms are clean. Everything you could wish for in service they provided us .THE BESTTT!!

Personnel au top Bien placé

The location was great, the hotel staff kind and professional and the room was comfortable. The only downside was that the internet signal in our room was weak - other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

NA

El desayuno EXPECTACULAR Los chicos EXCELENTE LA ATENCION EN EL LOBBY.

Good

It was an okay hotel for budget travelers needing only to stay overnight. Staff were nice, speaks English well. Room was okay. It was noisy during the night, which I think is expected because of it's proximity to the restos and bars.

The room is smail,a draive-through street,a lot of traffic, noisy, even with the windows closed.Breakfasts are good, the staff is friendly, tries to help,we left a day caplier, the money was not retuerned, but breakfast was giren as a dry ration.

Great place!!!

Habitación muy justa pero lo esperado. Sí cambiaría el colchón. Limpio y buen desayuno

We booked a room for 3 people, and we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (6 January-10 January). What should we mention first? The excellent hospitality? How well kept is the hotel? The location? The stuff? When we arrived late at night we were greeted and welcomed at the front office by one very polite and kind gentleman, Mr. Tufan and he provided us with extremely helpful information regarding our stay and what we might do in the city. Our room was 201 and the room itself was very clean, comfortable, soundproof with a double bed and a single bed. We would love it to be more spacious, because we found it quite small for 3 people, but that wasn’t a big deal. Breakfast was included in the price, and we must say that it was worth it! Every morning we were greeted by some lovely and hardworking ladies that made sure nothing was missing in the buffet. The buffet had a wide variety of options and everything was delicious and warm. We were so satisfied with our breakfast, that we never got to eat outside. The housekeeping staff made sure our room was tidy almost every single day, changed our sheets, restocked our amenities, and when there were clothes lying around our room, they folded the clothes for us. We really appreciated that. One night we were out of water bottles, and we called reception if we could have some, and they came to our room and gave us some with no extra charge. We are so thankful for that! Also, the hotel itself was very clean. The location was absolutely great. The grand bazaar was 5 minutes walking, there was a tram and a metro nearby, so it was easy for us to use those means of transport without having to take a taxi. We had a late flight back to our country so when it was time for our check-out at 12 pm we asked to store our luggage in the storage room, and they also let us stay in the lobby area until it was time to go. Very hospitable of them. We would like to give a special thanks to the stuff, they were extremely helpful and nice, hardworking people who helped us with everything during our stay. And lastly we would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Tufan in the reception. He was very helpful with everything we needed, whether that was information or anything else to do with the hotel or the city. He was very kind and always greeted us with a smile! We would come back to the hotel? Definitely! Is 5 stars from us! Thank you for this great experience and hospitality. Joanna, Migerta, Paola❤️

Cleaning needs improving - lots of hair: Hair in bed, floor, toilet. Bed sheets had hair and stains on it. Towels with stains. (Asked for new towels and sheets and this was fine). Check in was very quick. WiFi poor - fortunately I bought an esim. Breakfast staff were lovely. Breakfast is good and filling. Great location - 8mins walk to a tram stop, 20-25min walk to the main attractions. Great stay for a woman solo traveller. A little noisy in the room (from street and other guests). Overall I’d recommend for a budget stay.

Excelente , muy amambles , limpio

Well located hotel. 10 min walk to inmer city. To arrive by car at rush hour is terrible. The streets are very smal. Very noce hotel. Staff is very helpfull.

Personnel très sympathiques et très serviables. Excellent hôtel !

Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. They helped us to exchange money and provided useful transport information. Zeyna (lobby staff) and Bahar (house keeping) in particular were very friendly and made our stay that much better. We had the breakfast buffet for the 5 days we stayed, it was great! There was a wide selection of savoury and sweet options. Definitely tasty and filling. Me and my family enjoyed our stay at the Alphonse very much.

Alphonse Hotel is an excellent place to stay if you want to go to Istanbul because its very close to the grand bazaar and other tourist places. This place offers great food and service. We are soooo glad we stayed here. If we come back this is my place to stay.

Please do your self a favor and don’t go to this Hotel. First things first, the hotel is located in the badest area in Istanbul. It’s definitely not safe. It’s like the ghetto in Istanbul. The rooms are not clean. Sanitary room is so dirty. We hated everything and left the hotel after one day and rented another one.

The staff at this hotel were amazing. Friendly, kind, fun, informative and made our four night in Istanbul very special. Our room was basic. It was cleaned every day and the shower was excellent. The breakfast had a great variety of food and the coffee was great. The catering staff were lovely. Language is not a barrier. The hotel is in the Old City and near to many sightseeing places, plus the tram. It is a lively area but that is Istanbul. Near to loads of restaurants, plus an area of restaurants that are able to sell alcohol if that is what you enjoy with dinner.

I liked the room, it was beautiful, nice staff. Bad internet.

Man konnte alles bequem zufuß erreichen.

Bien situé, petites chambres fonctionnelles, rue passante

Sifon bozuktu dus gideri sıkıntılıydi goletlenme yapio yatak sagdan sola meilliydi donmeye basladiginuzda kendinizi durdurmaniz lazim 🙂 bunlara rağmen sessiz sakin bir oteldi kahvaltı basit açık büfe erken giderseniz guzel gece kalirsaniz sicak urunler sicak ama taze sicak deil anladiniz evet bukadar kendine ait otoparki olmamasi arizali odalarda konaklama yaptirmasi tekrar gitmem

Service is beyond expectations, only negative point: the environment is very noisy

Thanks for everything . Reception guys hotels room cleanest everything perfect. even breakfast . Thanks a lot

The staff are helpful and polite, Cleaning done everyday Air-conditioning system was peefect Furniture is new. Facility is covid safe and clean Location is perfect for nearby touristic sites. Price is reasonable Breakfast is basic but not bad. Didnt like, tge room sizes too small. Noise of street. Some day cigarate smoke smell from corridor level 2 The street is so crowed even late night.

The staff is friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean. The location is quite good, close to the main sights. The receptionist helped us a lot with the transfer to the airport. Thank you!

The Hotel overall was very nice, very budget friendly and the staff there were extremely helpful, especially Isa the manager, a great person, very kind and spoke really good English.

All The hotel works they’re the best I will come again..... I recommend for everyone to stay this hotel........clean good breakfast good location....🙏👍😍

No English speaking that’s little bad ... you can’t communicate

nice staff . clean nice staff . clean nice staff . clean nice staff . clean

The staff was very kind and helpful. After spending the first night on a small noisy room they kindly changed us to a bigger most comfortable one on a higher floor. Additionally, one of the receptionist helped us contact Turkish Airlines (it was quite difficult due to the Covid-19 crisis) as they had cancelled our flight, so we could get back home. The hotel is located at about 15-20min walk from Sutanahmet at a local neighbourhood. The surroundings were full of local restaurants where there were no non-turkish tourists at all, so it was a good opportunity to try local cuisine.

Bra boende fin personal bara saknades laktosfri produkter i frukosten.

Not a bad hotel for the rate. A good stay for a very low budget accommodation.

The rooms were smelling and dirty, beds are so rubbish and the mattresses were uncomfortable, the bed sheet was so dirty and smelling and even duvet cover. The pictures of the hotel that you can see with the Hotels.com are the same but it is absolutely cleanliness.

It's a nice cozy hotel clean.nive staff smiling.jusr wished I came here in at the summer time instead as it's raining as .... location heart of Istanbul.

Qua locatie is geweldig.

Lady manager was very friendly. Room was fairly neat but bathroom cleanliness could be improved. Breakfast and wifi were excellent. Great value for money

We stayed here for 6 days, the hotel is pleasant. The area is great you are in walking distance of all the tourist sites. If you venture down the road you will find some restaurants you can chill at smoke some shisha if that's your thing all reasonably priced. Locals at these restaurants are so welcoming. The rooms are a bit small. The room is clean however the bathroom needs a good scrub lots if visible dirt, there are some cleaning issues throughout the hotel. Breakfast is basic but if you can handle eating scrambled eggs every day you will be fine. The staff are great very helpful and they do go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. Wi fi is great uninterrupted access which is great when you travelling and you cant wait to upload your pictures of the experience daily. Overall if you looking for a basic hotel in a really great area then give this one a try.

Pros: location is close to grand bazar and tram and blue mosque, fair price, breakfast wasnt amazing but okat, staff was friendly. Cons: hotel is on a very busy small street, lots of cars honking and windows arent sealed well so its not ideal for light sleepers, rooms are very small and tight. Beds are very uncomfortable and bad, the first room we got i could feel the springs on the bed and the room smelled of smoke. Then they exchanged our room and it was slightly better. But beds were still bad and bed sheets not great either. The cleaning lady would only fix-the bed and maybe put new towels. Didn't clean the bathroom.

This hotel is budget friendly and the staff there were lovely. But i think they allow smoking, actually bed sheets and curtains were full of cigarettes’ smell. To be fare the location of this hotel and price are good.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. Great experience it was Staff is very friendly and coperative. The location of the hotel stands out to be very convenient as most of the historical attractions, food street, shops and metro station are just few min away by walk. Breakfast is also very nice. Room sizes are small but it doesnt really matter if you are coming to Istanbul to spend most of the time outside. Best wishes

The pressure of water from the taps is fantastic. The internet facilities need improvement.

In generale posso consigliare questa struttura. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Colazione ok, personale molto gentile.

The hotel was overall good. The breakfast was basic, and the personale was sweet. Moreover, i like the location if you want to visit the grand bazar and the sightseeing. But if you want to go to forexample taksim it is far away. And lastly the rooms is very smalls

Special thanks at the reception desk Tufan and icsa Aissa great people very kind. And helpfull they both spoke English Wanted change room no problems Wanted clean linen again no problems Very friendly also thanks to the chambermaid Breakfast could be better oherways we had a lovely stay recommende this hotel

Where to start I must thanks the people working at the reception desk Tufan and isca they were great friendly both spoke perfect English I wanted to switch room no problem wanted change clean linen no problem and never forget the smiling face as they greet you they helped me to get around Istanbul to be honest they deserved 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Before I end this review thank the chambermaid Lastly the breakfast need improving

It is situated in a great place for everything I wanted to visit.

Hotel is about 20 min walk some of the main attractions. The hotel had everything i needed and i really like the little hotel card they give you at check in with all the major attractions listed on the back..very handy i wish all hotels would do this.

Hotel has a Good location near laleli street and metro , good price , little old and need lot of renovation.

I had a Wonderfull time at the hotel. Good Location near of everything good Breakfast and hotel personal are nice and helpfull.. Tufan Always was gentle and kind. Helping me all the time.. Room nice.. Shower better!.. You have everything in your visor in Istanbul Thanks!

tasty breakfasts, near the grand bazaar and tram stop

Sıradan bir otel

The staff were very helpful. The hotel is near the tourist attractions in Istanbul. The Grand bazar was 10-15 minutes away. The breakfast was good enough.

Perfect position - all famous sights in a close distance

We booked this hotel because it was cheap and I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" really comes to mind, our room was very dirty and in need of cleaning, the room service didn't change our sheets our clean the bathroom/room for our entire stay, we had to request fresh sheets and we just changed them ourselves, I would not recommend this hotel for this reason. The poor hygiene makes you wonder what else they're skimping on.

Reine Katastrophe!! Ich hab mich kaum getraut was anzufassen. Verschimmelt dazu.

nice hotel close to yenikapi ferry terminal. area is very lively, historical center is also really close. the street is a little bit noisy and busy, but at night it calms down. my room was single, not so much space but enough. the bathroom was small but clean, and hot water was really hot. the room was warm and cozy (it was cold outside, at the beginning of march). i liked breakfast a lot, good variety and quality of food, every day there was something different. first there was some trouble with the kettle in my room, it was replaced in a few minutes. staff was really friendly and helpful. would gladly stay here again.

Konaklama keyifliydi.. Hiçbir sorun görmedim..

This place is per person, I believe all small hotels in the old section like this. I booked a room that has queen size bed that fits two, but they charge me for the second person.

I have quiet night sleep in such busy neighborhood near Aksaray. Great breakfast. Nice and new facility in the room

The rooms are too small, the furniture, linen, paint...pretty much everything is tired. Black mold in the bathroom and shower, broken toilet lid. Could do with a clever designer and refurbishment. However, the staff is trying to make up for what the place lacks with friendliness.

We did not stay here for a single night due to the disgusting conditions of our room. Not worth any money - let alone the price they charge to stay in a filthy room. The photos online do not reflect the condition of the room at all - Alphonse hotel claims that all of the rooms are modern, spacious and clean - and as you can see in the attached photos that is not the condition you receive on arrival. Firstly, there were dark hairs in the bed sheets from previous guests. Mould all through the shower and crevasses of the bathroom. The sink had not even been wiped, and had hairs on it too. The bed covers and pillows were old and riddled with stains. The mattress had bugs, crumbs and countless yellow stains on it. Many other surfaces had not even been wiped, and other furniture was stained and old beyond fit for use. When we politely brought this to the attention of the staff, they did the best they could to contact the manager and the owner of the hotel in order to facilitate a refund or some sort of compensation for the room as we were not going to stay in a room that was not clean to a fair standard. The manager/owner did not care nor try to come to some sort of negotiation regarding compensation. They simply stated that they would not give us a refund because we had already checked into our room - even though the standard of the room clearly was not up to scratch and didn’t represent the online photos at all. Online the hotel claims to be in a good location and close to main attractions - it is located in a very rough area that I would not stay in when visiting Istanbul. The owners/managers do not care about their customers at all and they do not deserve the business that tourists bring. I would rate this hotel lower than 1 star if I could. Do not recommend to any locals or any tourists.

Stayed a fortnight by myself. It is ok for the price. Don't expect too much . After all it's a 3 star. Location is good. Subway access to Ataturk Airport. If you are good on your feet it's easy walking to the main attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Museum),through the Kapalicarsi bazaar.

I asked them to clean my room floor and they never did. the room size looked fairly big on hotel.com but indeed it was so tiny and couldn't even move around my bed. mattress was so thin and terrible and woke up with back pain every morning. staff are so mean and not friendly. toilet seat was dripping water constantly and they never fixed it. the only thing was good is the breakfast buffet.

Very nice and comfortable rooms and friendly staff very helpful definitely recommend this hotel near to central locations and good breakfast. If you like to visit blue mosque or grand bazar just 10 to 15 mins walk food and shops just 1 min walking distance....

Comfortable despite lack of coverings like blanket or sheet.

Okay where do I start.. I booked this hotel with hotels.com as a short city break. I booked this hotel as it was cheap included a simple breakfast. I didn't expect anything fancy as it was a cheap deal. The hotel was easy to locate using Google maps and walking from the local subway station. The hotel isn't easy to spot no large signs or anything **Taxis struggle to find it. Our room was tidy although very small aircon is good. The skirting board had fell off the wall, The bed is two singles pushed together, it's incredibly hard **I slept on top of my pillows. I even flipped the mattress and discovered the mattress protecter is filthy/stained. kettle is dirty inside. fridge works well Wifi is okay TV hardly any English channels asked reception a young man came to alter it which didn't result to much. The hotel is very near to a mosque and the call to prayer is exceptionally loud. Night staff (one man) don't speak English and it caused a huge issue when trying to return to our room late after dinner and my birthday celebrations one evening. A stranger followed us into the hotel and started talking to us in Turkish then he spoke to the the night staff. The talking became shouting and then the night staff refused to let us (me and my mother) upstairs. He was trying to manhandle us out of the hotel and was shouting at us all in Turkish. This upset my mother greatly we tried to explain again & again but he would not listen extremely hostile from the moment we entered. I got rather cross at this point and stormed to elevator my mother followed and the man again shouting at us trying to manhandle my mother out of the lift. He was saying police I said fine as they might speak some English! I was pressing the lift button and happened to get my room key out of my bag while the shouting and tugging at my mother still was happening - once the night staff saw my key he let got of my mother said no problem and walked off!!! We got to our room and my birthday was ruined both of us in tears so..... Don't stay here is my advice or if you have to stay with caution! I'd suggest staying at the The Ambassador hotel in historical center amazing views and even better staff!!!

Great location surrounded by great seafood restaurants and only one street away from Sultanamet, but without the high price tag.

Room very small, friendly staff

Very good , nice professional staff , good breakfast, good location ..

Very nice helpful professional staff , clean hotel , good breakfast , room in very good condition , very decently located , about 12 minutes walking to blue mosque , about 10 minutes to beyazit and grand bazar and about 12 minutes to the metro station , many places to eat and buy groceries on a walking distance , you can easily find a taxi right outside the hotel too , overall very good clean place to stay at , I would definitely come back here again .

We really like the hotel, the photos are real, they are really nice, breakfast was great and everything was good. It's near from the attractions and we really love it. Stay here and you won't regret it :)

Alphonse Hotel is located in a busy city street, in walking distance to many main attractions. It is a 10 minute walk to the metro. The rooms are small, however have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. We had two nights here at the start of our trip around Turkey and two at the end. The hotel was very happy to store some of our luggage. Good value for money.

Professional nice staff, clean hotel , good location , good breakfast .. about 10 minutes walking to bayazid (grand Bazaar) which is a main bus and trumvay station , also less than 15 minutes walking to sultan Ahmed ,, the hotel is very well managed .
