Every thing was perfect
Our stay at the Greenway Spa Hotel did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, our booking had been entered incorrectly, leaving our reserved room unavailable. The “upgrade” offered turned out to be a cheaper room. Cleanliness was also lacking — the bathroom floor was dusty and appeared not to have been cleaned for weeks. The spa facilities were especially poor: the steam room was out of order, the sanarium was overheated with a broken thermometer, and the sauna’s temperature and humidity gauges didn’t work. Hygiene standards were low as guests used the sauna without towels, with no clear enforcement of rules. Breakfast was underwhelming for a hotel of this class, with inconsistent coffee and poorly prepared Eggs Royale. Dinner was the only highlight. Check-out was chaotic, with a billing error that initially overstated the charges. Overall: very poor value and not recommended.
I would love to give this place an excellent rating however I can't because we had a power cut and we weren't able to eat food in the evening, which I realise is not the hotel's fault One thing I will say, they do do a great breakfast
Wonderful Cotswals experiwnce. Needs AC! Very hot but otherwise an amazing place.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Greenway. We were upgraded on arrival, and everything about the stay was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was lovely, and the spa was also very good - my partner enjoyed her treatment as well. Food was excellent - we tried both the brasserie and main dining restaurant - both were delicious. Breakfast was also lovely. The only thing that could potentially be improved would be the WiFi, which wasn't great in our room - but it certainly didn't spoil our stay - we'd definitely come back!
Staff location food and hotel all amazing however our room 'Ash' had 2 small windows overlooking roof and walls of hotel and no view of countryside
Comfortable quiet hotel. Arrived late around 8.50pm and reception staff quickly organised bar menu food before kitchen closed! Large room beautiful gardens
Delightful stay for our anniversary. Beautiful hotel with great character and tasteful, fresh decor. Four poster room was wonderful and the views were a real treat. Room service was quick and the quality of all our meals in our room and in the restaurant was consistently excellent. The spa was perfect in every respect - clean and comfortable. The happy & helpful staff all made us feel very welcome. We also enjoyed the beautiful grounds and its views. The only way our stay could have been better would have been another night or two. :-)
A lovely property with good food and very nice facilities. The bee problem around the hot tub was odd and one front desk person told us a day trip would be 3 buses and 40 pounds when it was actually 1 bus and 6. Overall a lovely hotel.
Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff very attentive and helpful. Got an upgraded room which was great. Food a tad expensive and we all thought the desserts were bland. Spa was good but can't comment on treatments as didn't have any. Would recommend.
Grand spacious stay. Lovely SPA treatments and friendly staff.
The dining experience was excellent food amazing Spa was disappointing as sauna & solarium were out of order The hotel down graded our booking due to a problem with our room . Room was away from main house not welcoming It was disappointed as it was our anniversary. Staff were helpful . And compensated us well
Lovely hotel! Nice spa!
Lovely location lovely room
Thank you for making my birthday special. Perfect in every way
The hotel and spa are beautiful. Everything was clean, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.
Excellent one night get away with the wife. The hotel is very picturesque with loads of history. Spa facilities are great and the good was exceptional.
A fantastic small hotel in all area’s, by far the best UK hotel we have stayed in for a long long time and we stay in many.
Staff very friendly, meals were tasty but a bit too much ‘fine dining,’ so small portions. Very limited, only the same 4 choices each day. Kitchen had oven problems too, which was unfortunate. Room was very comfortable and well maintained but there was a constant loud sound of running water in the radiators, very distracting especially throughout the night. Spa facilities looked really good but we weren’t able to book any treatments.
Lovely place, only issue is getting back out onto the main road, given volume and speed of traffic.
The hotel was beautiful. Rooms was incredibly cosy and bed was so comfortable. The only thing I’ll note is that for me, as a solo traveler, I felt that the hotel was a few socio econmic levels above what I’m comfortable in. It seemed to be frequented by a higher echelon of society and as a result I felt a bit out of place. That said, I’d wanted a quiet solo retreat to rest and relax and I was able to do just that.
Nicely refurbished room, great massage and amazing food. The perfect mini break
An absolute hidden gem, I wanted somewhere close to the airport but quiet and with a touch of class and this lovely manor house did not disappoint. Excellent staff and service, evening meal was quite frankly one of the best meals I have eaten, the only downside was the family pool time for 1 1/2 hours in the evening, just when we wanted to enjoy the lovely quiet poolside loungers and hot tub. Apart from that all great and we will definitely be coming back.
Lovely venue tastful decor, immaculately maintained with friendly staff SUPERB food. (we had a fine dining voucher). We really appreciated our complimentary upgrade to a huge and very lovely room.
Lovely hotel and grounds friendly staff. Only down side was had noisy delivery outside room very early in morning and metal cages being dragged on and off lorry
Great hotel. Stunning grounds and super comfy bed.
Very enjoyable stay. Room was beautiful with amazing views. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom very spacious and everywhere was sparkling clean. All staff members are friendly and polite. We enjoyed the pool every afternoon for a swim
James, who was at the front desk was amazing. When we checked in he gave us a tour of the property, was very knowledgeable. His presentation and appearance was 5 star. I truly thought he was the General Manager of the hotel and but he stated that he had been with the company for one year. I know with his amazing attitude and appearance that he will be in that position on our next stay. The wait staff were amazing and treated you like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone to stay. You truly feel that you are the owner of an amazing English Countryside Mansion.
A lovely two night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had bar food in the lounge one evening. Sadly it was not a good experience. One member of staff having to take drinks orders, prepare the drinks and also take food orders. Poor man was totally overwhelmed by the situation. Long wait for food. James came to the rescue but it was all a little like Fawlty Towers! Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of offerings. The hotel was comfortable with beautiful gardens and a welcoming pool and spa area.
O really link how the design hotel and we have enjoyed our stayed.Definitely we would return back.
Lovely Hotel A little staid Delicious breakfast
Beautiful building, amazing staff and excellent food. We came on a motorbike and the parking was really secure. 100% would stay again
Superb property in a beautiful setting with lovely walks nearby. Food was great, although dinner is not cheap. Only fly in the ointment was some inaccurate billing but quickly corrected once it was pointed out
The heat in the rooms is unbearable
The service was excellent. Food was exceptional. Grounds and spa were clean and relaxing. A wonderful 3 days to spend our 20th wedding anniversary.
Superb hotel. Our room was beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive, and our meal in the restaurant was outstanding. We can’t wait to return.
Liked dog room a bit noisy over kitchen though visit ruined however by the menu including Rabbitt!! Had a burger from bar menu in the end . If this is an award winning restaurant I don’t know how they judge it . Wouldn’t return unless they had more choice with traditional wholesome food as an option
Had a wonderful stay over the last couple days! Lovely hotel and service was excellent - staff genuinely so nice. Spa was bit on the smaller side but was fine. Would happily go back
Very goid
Superb room, lovely touch to provide a comfy dog bed and toy for our puppy!
Delightful. Will definitely be coming back and will definitely be recommending it ro family and friends
Clean comfortable room, quality of food in restaurant above amazing, but topped off by really genuine lovely staff.
My Wife and I spent St. Valentines night at this lovely hotel. Our room was very well appointed, nice and roomy with views across the garden. Dinner was nicely presented and for a seven course taster, represented good value and quality for the money. The hotel facilities were also very good, a nice spa area, out door thermal tub and adequate gym. Staff were all very friendly and attentive and this and its other group hotels are places we will undoubtedly visit again.
Laura, your staff member, was wonderful in every way.
The reception area appears to be going through a refurb so access was via the spa. The rooms need refurbishing urgently. It was the dimmest lit room I've ever seen and even then I could see the stains and wear on the carpet and furniture. Lots of mould around the windows. Otherwise clean. Staff were really helpful and friendly. decent wine list. Breakfast was very good. This could be a great hotel but the dilapidated room made it mediocre.
We LOVED this cozy resort in the Cotswolds! Beth in reception and Shannon in the spa made our entire stay with lots of great recommendations and friendly greetings each day. The rooms are gorgeous and the outdoor hot tub is a really nice amenity. All meals were lovely. We only wish the bed was softer, but it was also fine. We would definitely recommend!
Excellent spa and pool area and gardens Great to take the dog with you.
Lovely hotel, staff and restaurant
Had a fantastic stay in the “elm” room, which was very spacious (the bathroom was huge with double shower and sink) and had a balcony overlooking the estate. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. We were provided with plenty of bottled water in a fridge, there is also a coffee machine in the room with fresh milk in the fridge. It was all very clean and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We had the spa and pool pretty much all to ourselves. The food looked and smelt great, we didn’t have dinner as we had already booked to eat out, there are lots of great restaurants in the surrounding area. We did have breakfast and the eggs Royale were very tasty with lots of other breakfast choices and drinks. We will definitely be back!
We have been coming for many years but our first visit since Covid and upstairs refurb. All done well and Craig and his staff very helpful, specially Colleen most welcoming
Probably best hotel room we've had. Lovely hotel, good service, great food and splendid setting
Lovely stay. Room smelt so we were upgraded to a lovely room Spa was super
Fabulous hotel! Everything was perfect! Beautiful property. Large comfortable rooms. Fabulous spa. Dinner was included in the room rate and was delicious (and beautiful). One of my favorite hotels. I’ll be back. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The most amazing stay, everything was perfect , the food was one of the best we have ever had!
Love staying at this hotel. Love the spa, fine dining, friendly staff, lovely accommodation, beautiful grounds
Staff, food and facilities are excellent. We love this place!
The room was extremely well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Extremely disappointing, for a hotel charging these prices you have a reasonable expectation. Service was extremely poor throughout, room was large but very tired as was condition of rest of hotel. The quality of the meal in the evening was excellent but breakfast was bland and the service at breakfast was terrible. A hotel claiming these prices needs to be doing much better, spoke to a member of their management but do not have any confidence that things will improve any time soon.
Hotel in a good position and grounds very nice I was charged £15 to use the pool afterr paying alot for bed and breakfast One breakfast service very good tgenext one poor staff very friendly
Fantastic venue, superb food and even better staff.
We will definitely be back. It’s good for family. Dinner was great and delicious.
As always, we find the staff attentive, friendly and helpful.
Large comfortable well furnished room, cleanliness, fabulous food and delightful staff( all of them!!)
The hotel is a beautiful old building, the room is really spacious with beautiful views over the grounds and we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea (cheese scones incredible!). Our only disappointment is that after intentionally booking a spa hotel, we discovered that the spa facilities aren’t available to use without an extra charge. Given this isn’t a cheap hotel anyway and one of the major attractions is the excellent spa, we expected the ability to use the spa to be part of why the rooms are already expensive. We obviously don’t object to having to book a slot, but the unexpected additional fee is disappointing.
Very helpful staff especially in the restaurant dealing with food intolerances
Excellent hotel, Excellent staff, 10/10 for everything.
Excellent stay
Overnight stay after a dog show. Hotel dog friendly, staff very pleasant and helpful Huge grounds for dog walks.Restaurant food extremely good Will definitely stay again.
No info given about the spa use, had to phone down twice. No info book in the room about the hotel, was not told about breakfast times or that breakfast was included, room had not been cleaned properly, all the bathrobes and slippers were too small, im not even a big bloke, Tiny bottle of water in the room. Heating on all night even though radiators were turned off, no water pressure in shower, plus i think certain guests get the room we had with 2 tiny windows looking out onto flat roofs, No mention of eating dinner even though the dining room was a hive of activity. I think the staff judged us, even though we were smartly dressed and were looking down on us, yet as guests we pay their wages. The B&B we stayed in the night before in bath knocked spots off this place. This hotel has all the look of a posh place but really needs to learn what real service is all about, even upon leaving and explaining a few issues we had, only because we were asked. Not even an offer of money off, too quick to take the payment and say goodbye. AVOID Better places for less money in the same area,
Room was very spacious, albeit a bit shabby, with good coffee/tea facilities. Breakfast was excellent, really good choice and very delicious, the best part of our stay. Swimming pool area was wonderful, very warm and peaceful with warm water to swim in. Customer service was very disappointing, members of staff rarely smiled and did not go above and beyond to help us with anything. Room was 15 min late for the check-in and we were charged extra costs during check-out. When I said we do not drink Diet Coke and therefore we should not be charged for 3 of them, the man at the reception said "I don't blame you" instead of apologizing! There was no spa treatments available when we arrived, nor there was a table at the restaurant. My bad for not reading a small print after paying for our stay, but it would have been really difficult to book anything in advance. The swimming session for children had only one slot during the day from 5 to 6pm, which really messed up our evening (this information was not online). We were offered a very expensive sandwich in the bar for dinner (you can buy exactly the same down the road in Waitrose!). Considering my daughter was their youngest guest at the time, they could have offered to cook a meal and bring it as a room service even if the table was not available in the restaurant. All in all, this would have been a nicer break if we pre-booked a few activities, but on balance I do not think we will be going back there.
A wonderful old building set in beautiful grounds and with friendly staff. Lovely breakfast too. The room was lovely but the mattress was terribly soft for my taste.
We st
Beautiful building and surroundings!
What an amazing room, great spa and good food. Would definitely go back.
Nicely furnished hotel, great bathroom and large bedroom Fabulous breakfast Book ahead if you want dinner The local pubs served good food, but not great atmosphere. I would recommend eating one night at the hotel and one getting a taxi towards Cheltenham/Montpellier Spa treatments were also booked up so book ahead (quite expensive)
Ok but we were very disappointed after paying £196 for one night Bed and Breakfast we could not use swimming pool or spa unless we paid a further £50. Would not pay on principle. Toilet very temprimental flushing in on suite and over-head shower did not work
The Room was beautiful, very large, clean and lovely finishing touches. Bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast let it down
Had a great stay. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Food good and a lovely locatation to enjoy the Cotswolds
Beautiful setting and historical building. Almost everything we requested (choice of pillows, ironing board, spa timing & spa treatments) was granted but was somewhat surprised that there was no DVD player with our room TV for our evening restaurant meal. Otherwise the nice touch of complementary chocolates with a wishing card as well as a bowl of fruit was very touching and appreciated
Wonderful hotel in Cheltenham Lovely ambience with lovely, friendly staff! The food in the restaurant for our evening meal was delicious
Friendly staff, good breakfast. The spa was ok, could be a bit cleaner IMO and ive had better treatments in the past but for the price it was reasonable.
Superb stay - enjoyed using spa and restaurant excellent. Very quiet tranquil location but beware of the 2 rooms in annex which are adjacent to main busy road. Fortunately we were able to switch rooms for the relaxing experience we expected from a spa hotel
What a lovely stay, the staff were so polite and helpful and hotel was beautiful. The restaurant food was incredible, I would really highly recommend and the sap is a must to visit.
Very comfortable, the staff were lovely. It is a beautiful old country house with a lovely spa. Some bits are looking a bit worn. They took Covid very seriously, which was great, however they said they couldn’t provide bar nibbles (nuts, olive, crisps because of Covid, yet they could bar food! Very odd.
