Reviewed Sep 15, 2026We did our own breakfasts We were so respectful of the place including buying our own ramps to get me 97 year old dad in and out of the place in a wheelchair / we got written permission to have our small dogs there but they were accused of wetting on the beds and other things! I have never been treated or spoken to with such little respect before… absolutely foul!

Bed mattresses are probably past their best- by dates - I could feel the springs through the underlays and it was hard. Not the property’s fault but the Rescue Helicopters at the hospital might upset others

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026Facilities and location were fine.
Check-in was unsatisfactory. I had requested a unit with a walk-in shower. The perator rang me and told me that this woul;d coat an additional $20.00. I agreed to pay this on arrival. On arrival they told me it was $20.00 per night. I apay $40.00 in cash and asked for a receipt. this was refused. I was asked to sign the registration form and enter my car registration. Then the operator asked for my credit cardand told me that there was an $150.00 bond to be charged to my card. This should have been advertised up front when making a booking. The bond charge was hidden in the fine-print of the registration form. This practise is forbidden by New Zealand Law. This dodge practise is off-putting and
