Aztec Motel

Location ti the hospital was ideal

Located near Palmerston North Hospital, this motel is a good option for those with a surgical appointment there. The staff were very helpful and we were especially grateful to be able to use the visitor carpark after checking out - a much better option than trying to find a park in the hospital carpark.

Although very clean and quite comfortable in general, the motel's decor is a bit dated. The Felton shower mixer was one example (these are an abomination and should be replaced as soon as possible.

Great welcome. Lovely clean accommodation. Spacious with everything you would need. Would be happy to stay again.

Only thing was we were unable to get TV to work. We felt it was too late to contact staff.

Great easy stay, easy to book, easy room to move around in. Helpful staff. Tidy room.

Has everything we needed

I couldn't get the TV going. I could have gone to the office, but didn't. The instructions didn't seem to help.

Staff was friendly and the accommodation was as advertised, I will stay there again.

No fan in the bathroom

Room was just what we needed. close to hospital so very handy. Allen is a good host.

One of the nicest motels in Palmy that I've stayed at so far

There wasn't anything about the motel itself I didn't like, but there were some guest that were very loud

Really tidy and had everything we needed

Everything was ok

Very good heating.

Great location, lovely clean room

The beds were a little hard

Everything

Nothing

Heat pump and lights put on when I got to motel at 8pm after a tiring day at the hospital. So much appreciated. Modernized unit, very clean and had plates and cutlery.

Toilet roll holder could be tilted up towards the left so that the roll doesn't come off when you try to use it. Just an improvement idea, no complaint as such.

Fantastic parking pre checkin as my husband was getting treatment at the hospital at 8.30am. Really appreciated that as parking is difficult. Got a book to read.

Very clean. Friendly staffs and easy access.

Very clean, spacious and the beds were great

The host is friendly and nice. Location is great and central.

Overpriced for this accommodation

Our host was very kind to let us check in early and welcomed us upon arrival. The room was comfortable, as were the beds, and had all we needed for our one-night stay. The location was perfect for visiting friends nearby.

The kitchen nook was tiny, and the sink was in the bathroom. It didn't really impact us as we only had coffee and cereal in the morning.

Close to Hospital, Host was accommodating to our needs without issue. Friendly and would highly recommend

Host Allen was really awesome and accomadating. Stayed two nights, shower pressure is awesome.

Another motel going nowhere 😕

Grubby, old fashioned but with a good shower, would have left but nowhere else available.

We stayed for one night while visiting Palmerston North for a birthday celebration. It was easy to find and had all the facilities a couple could want for a one night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a table and two chairs at the rear of the building so you could sit outside in a small garden.

Property was so relaxing and quiet perfect area to relax

Nothing really maybe just the traffic flow but you know is what it is

Only good for hospital visitors

No body soap and environment . Not at all value for money

Great staff, very helpful, convenient location.

Comfy bed, lots of pillows. Free cookies a bonus!

UHT milk, small TV screen

Spacious and clean. Nice pool for the kids.

Shower was boiling hot but if you turn the heat down, the water just trickles out.

Just a one night stay but it was lovely.

Perfect hosts, very understanding with our last minute booking. Room was very comfy and spacious with great quality bedding and comfy bed. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Comfy and Clean

I think there was something wrong with the TV. Every few frames it would leave an image while the actual tv kept going

Pool tramp for kids

No extractor in toilet room

The host was amazing!!! Even got my laundry in when it started raining while I was out. Daily check ins, super friendly. Bed so comfortable!! Pool was great too

No chopping board or coffee plunger, very small things.

Great location for our needs.Nice to have pool. Allen was extremely helpful, great comms too!

It was clean and tidy. Great amenities! And the pool was a hit with the kids

Shower pressure if I had to name something but otherwise everything was great

Management, friendly and helpful. Good size living area, well stocked kitchen utensils

Smaller shower box but ok.

Value for money for our whānau of 7. Comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the pool and tramp and space to hang out. Helpful and friendly staff.

A lovely surprise by the owner with an upgrade to a larger two-bedroom room on arrival. Great location for a birthday celebration we attended nearby. Easy and beds comfy for our one night stay for family of 4 adults. Perfect for our needs.

Nothing significant. Carpet could do with upgrading due to old smell. Shower pressure was disappointing.

I really loved connecting with the owners/ managers of the facility. They were readily avaliable and constantly went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one.

Pool and being together as a family

Filling the jug in a bathroom & getting water for the dishes

Close to town, and family friendly, loved the owners little dog, reminded me off my fur baby

That you had to fill your jug in the same space as your bathroom amenities, & retrieve your dishwashing water. (not hygienic?)

Very comfortable, clean set up. Staff were extremely helpful, and the utilities on-site were good.

Clean room, good value for money

The staff were so amazing and welcoming. Even had a small Christmas gift for our toddler. Allen was so lovely and very helpful.

The hotel is well located within Palmerston North, close to a medical facility as well as restaurants and bars, some within walking distance. The hosts were very accommodating, including when we were initially going to arrive much later than the standard check-in time. There is an outdoor swimming pool, which is nicely set and would be a great feature in warmer weather, even though Palmerston North can be cold/rainy. Parking was complimentary and directly opposite the room, which was very convenient. Rooms were cleaned daily; while this may not be necessary for all guests, we appreciated the service and it was well done.

The walls are a bit thin, and we could hear neighbouring guests talking late into the night, which was not ideal. That said, we understand that people are on holiday and that this is part of staying in a hotel, so we did not expect perfection. There may be some practical ways to mitigate this, but overall it did not detract significantly from our stay.

Wonderful team very helpful
