Nice friendly staff and very clean place to stay

It was one of the nicest properties I have stayed at. we were welcomed by T at reception with a big smile. We loved how clean the rooms were and the location was perfect. Thank you to entire team for a wonderful stay and such a lovely note upon arrival for my birthday 🥰

Exceptional Stay !! Where do i start. From arriving at motel, we were greeted by the lovely Thy (T) at reception. Checked in was so smooth even had a lovely spa while we were there for 1 night. Room was clean and comfy. Room was nice & warm after a day being at a sports tournament all day. Lovely place to stay in Taupo, actually the best !!

Just wifi in the room wasn't great.

It had everything we needed, great parking right beside your room, a great playground for kids, spa pool and laundry facilities and the lovely lady on reception was our highlight! She was absolutely lovely and so helpful! Cannot fault our stay!

Thy (T) at reception was so welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the best room in the complex, which had magnificent views, however due to the fog and rain we couldn't see a lot, but we really appreciated the upgrade.

The games room downstairs from our room, was a little noisy.

Our key was given to another guest as well. Our car was parked by our unit. TV and lights on and guests still put key in our door and walked in! I said can I help you. They told me they were given key no. 5 which was ours. Motel needs to install security chains immediately for this reason and for safety so children can't unlock doors and get out. I said - well lucky we weren't doing anything too funky ah. Other guests and I laughed. Human errors happen. I didn't lose it with Motel, but some guests may. Staff member was very apologetic and I told her these things happen. She was sooooooo professional and lovely on arrival we were ok with it. These things happen in life. Broken toilet on arrival but please know it was sorted smartly. Heat pump played up we froze. Didnt see the small fan heater tucked in closest till departure morning. Usually a lovely warm place. Our 3rd stay.

Facilities for kids were great Tee at the front desk was lovely and looked after us exceptionally well

The staff, facilities and location were fantastic we had an amazing time and will be back to stay. We have 2 kids and they had an awesome time.

Staff were amazing. Turning on heaters before we arrive back to room. Great recommendations for sight and restaurants as well.

The perfect place to stay! We travel with two toddlers and this is our second time staying at Little Haven. Absolutely beautiful rooms, excellent facilities and perfectly set up for families. Had everything we need and the Lady at Reception was so lovely. Can not recommend Little Haven more.

What a awesome motel. Exceptionally clean, organized and everything we needed. Staff were superb and so friendly, great communication. Great location, opposite 4 square and main road to central Taupo. Older motel but the cleanliness, New bathroom and wealth of facilities made it perfect for our family stay

We had wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was good, with easy assess to nearby attractions and shops. The room was clean. The overall environment was quiet and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and recommend this hotel to others.

The lady, T, at the reception is very friendly. We missed the spa pool this time. Maybe can enjoy it next time when we stay longer. Everything is clean. Good place to stay.

This place really surprised us, it was lovely. My kids loved the little wooden playhouse and trampoline and the rooms seemed modern and well equipped. The person who greeted us was really friendly and we really appreciated the little bottle of milk we were given. Free use of the laundry room was fantastic!

We were greeted by a friendly staff. Dedicated car parks in front of the units with plenty of space, which was great since we were driving a rental. The kids went straight to the trampoline and other play areas, they loved it. The room was spacious enough for a family of 4. Walking distance to the lake front and the town centre. We actually didn't drive between check-in and check-out. Nice quiet area :)

Everything was clean except for a little cob web hanging down from the ceiling. The water pressure for the shower was low, but probably nothing they can do about it. Wifi was patchy from the bedroom.

Excellent communication, very clean room with comfortable beds. Arrived late and left early, easily accessible location for driving down country.

Lovely staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Older motel, beautifully refurbished. We had unit 10 which is upstairs and has great views. Much better than Street appeal would suggest.

That the outdoor pool wasn't heated.

The location of the motel was perfect for our needs. ( Taupo Motorsport Park ) The room was extremely clean and well set out. Great people working at motel. Will definitely stay here again some time.

The only complaint was having to leave for home 2 days early due to the approaching cyclone. ( cyclone VAIANU ) Cannot blame the motel for that.

Little Haven was great location and value for money. First time my husband raved about a bed. Normally hotel/motel beds give him a back back! Best sleep in a while.

The room was well appointed with a few extras that was great to have., robe hooks in bathroom, good size mirrors. Good supplied kitchen and nice knee rug on couch. Easter eggs gift was and extra bonus.

Clean, above and beyond helpful staff, spacious and loved having outdoor eating area. We travelled with kids who enjoyed the play equipment and pool.

A friend and I stayed in room 6. It was well laid out, quiet, very clean and had everything you need. In the main area as you enter there is a double bed, small kitchen, comfortable chairs in front of a TV and a dining table with chairs. The bathroom has towels, special face cloths for makeup, sufficient toiletries & a hairdryer. The shower pressure & temperature was great & the shower didn't leak at all. There is another bedroom with 2 single beds, a large mirror against the wall & a clothing rail. The room has blinds and dark curtains, so you can sleep comfortably without excess light bothering you. The beds are very comfortable too! We didn't get to use the pool/ spa bath in the motel, but we did use the laundry area (very helpful to have laundry where you stay).

The place was great, the only thing I would suggest is moving the large mirror in the bedroom with the 2 single beds to another spot, as it's a bit strange having a mirror against the bed. Also if you're trying to do your make- up then you would need to sit on the bed in front of the mirror to do that.

Perfect accommodation for family of 4 with a teenager and pre-teen. Great facilities, pool, hottub and games room. With the pool towels a welcome addition. Lovely staff and so helpful. Great price for a very busy weekend in Taupo.

The upgrades are wonderful, great location, close to town. We weren’t a family, but the pool and playground looked great. Would definitely suit a family stay.

The very nice man at reception gave us lovely rooms, actually an upgrade I think because of some construction taking place on the roof of the main building. It was extremely comfortable. He also was able to answer our questions and guide us to the places we wanted to visit.

Everything was very nice. No suggestions to improve.

Spacious, clean and well furnished accommodation. Comfortable bed, quiet location. Covered parking next to unit and outside seating and table, front and back. Convenient for supermarket, bars and restaurants.

Lovely first floor room with stunning views, as per pic. Super warm swimming pool, very relaxing. Room clean, spacious, lovely big bathroom, well equipped kitchen, lovely large lounge area with big tv. Very enjoyable stay, would loved to have stayed longer.

Clean, comfortable and close to town. Staff were so understanding and considerate. It was really quiet and one of the nicer places I've stayed on Taupo in the price range. Would highly recommend.

The property was excellent. Quiet, modern and very clean. Beds comfortable but firm. The bathroom was exceptional, with heated towel rail and an amazing hot shower.

It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable- lovely furnishings and well equipped. Location was excellent- several places to eat nearby and close to the lake. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again if we return to Taupō.

Only slight inconvenience was low water pressure on the shower.
