Bookings.com took my money and confirmed my booking and when I showed up to the hotel they turned us away and said the had no booking and where fully booked.
That they took my money and had no rooms available
Convenience of location
N/A
Great central location. Have stayed here a few times. My room on 2nd floor looked on to Molesworth St, which was nice. Good lunch menu in the bar with prompt and friendly service.
Appalling wifi in my room, borderline non-existent. Had breakfast on one morning and found the dining room very cold. The tea was dreadful!! Pretty certain it wasn't Barry's. The granola had rock hard pellets of something in it which I picked out in order not to break a tooth. For €250 per night, excluding breakfast, I was disappointed.
Location. Staff. I always stay here.
Cost but all Dublin hotels are outrageous
Location and staff
The room was dark and basic
Great positron, room was clean and tidy.
Very small room.
Excellent location and the staff are very kind & professional.
The wifi in my roomkept dropping constantly.
The ambiance of the hotel was very comfortable.
Location was ideal
You could here noise from outside, adjacent rooms and the corridor very clearly which made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep
Staff were lovely
Room very small and very expensive
A traditional hotel close to everything in the city. A very welcoming staff, great bartender, quiet room on the back!
The breakfast, girl with brown ponytail made a critical comment to another server about me because I wanted a different table than she took me, too. I sunk down a lot in a sofa type seat. She didn’t think I saw her doing it. I think she doesn’t like her job or people.
The staff was great and the location was perfect
Such a welcoming hotel staff were all lovely
Liked everything
The location was perfect and so convenient to all the local attractions. The front desk staff were fabulous and extremely helpful and recommending nearby restaurants, etc.
It was very convenient to have a restaurant and bar on premises, and some of the service staff were excellent while others kept us waiting for way too long.
Friendly staff and very efficient. Beautiful traditional building. Quiet room
There was mold on my shower door.
Posizione stile staff
Molto caldo, camera assegnata molto piccola, struttura un po' vecchieggiante
A pleasure to stay!
Nothing!
Beautiful traditional decor with a very comfortable and elegant vibe. Friendly service and great location!
Great location close to the center of Dublin
No wifi in bedroom. Informed staff who implied this was new to them. Tried on 3 different devices all worked ok even just immediatley outside room but not inside room
It was a lovely classic style. The decoration was lovely, the restaurant was wonderful. I tried everyone’s food and every single thing was delicious. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful.
A little warm, but I’m a coddled American used to air conditioner.
Beautiful Convenience Comfortable
No air conditioning Old facilities ment lift could stop working periodically throughout stay
Très joli hôtel en face du musée national
La localisation à l'écart de Temple bar, au calme
Excellent location near Grafton and the museum, on quiet side road. Classic boutique style hotel with lounge and quiet sitting areas in lobby. Triple room allowed extra space for large suitcase.
Lots of stairs, but elevator was available if needed
Historical building, quiet street, well located with easy access to several local attractions. In house restaurant had tasty breakfast. We didn’t try the dinner menu.
No air conditioning, but open windows and an available fan improved comfort during an unusually warm summer stay.
Perfect location
Old style hotel. A bit outdated
Restaurante, bar, atención personal
Sin decir malo, muy pequeña la habitación y tema calor
Destination
Needs some refurbishment
Decor & Location lovely staff
Nothing to dislike
The location, the soda bread and the desk staff were nice.
Buswell? More like bus-notso-well This hotel is the biggest rip-off I’ve witnessed in my life and led to the worst nights I've ever spent in a hotel. For almost 300€ a night, you have the immense privilege of a very poor night's sleep. The culprits? 1. The finishes: The bathroom has some disgusting caulking. No relaxing bath in these conditions, only the quickest shower I could take. 2. The noise: The windows are single-glazed: a very bold choice for a very busy street with unhinged seagulls nearby. 3. The heat: I didn’t expect a boiling room coming to Ireland (it was only 25°C outside). Mind you, I’m not one to be afraid of the heat. I grew up in a hot country and live in sunny Provence, but this room was just unbearable heat-wise. Thinking about turning on the AC? Nope, you just get a noisy fan. Thinking of opening the windows? The street noise is awful. No way to cool down: Maybe some fresh water? Think again. No fridge or minibar. You’ll have to hydrate with the complimentary lukewarm bottles of water. Yay. For our last morning, we gave the breakfast a go as we needed something hearty. Once again, a total letdown. The "Full Irish" breakfast was a quarter or half-breakfast at best, and completely bland on top of that (except for the very good soda bread). Don’t make the same mistake I did. There are plenty of hotels in Dublin that are far cheaper and infinitely better.
The Buswells Hotel was the warmest, friendliest hotel that I’ve stayed in. The staff is extremely courteous and warm. The hotel is beautiful! I would recommend adding breakfast to your booking as the restaurant in the hotel is superb. I will stay here whenever I travel to Dublin.
Nothing to speak of.
Location greay
Very small roo m
I tealy liked hotel itself how it looked inside,
Didn't liked small rooms thank God girl in reception named Ella helped me and my 2 kids to change rooms into bigger one we realy liked it.
Amazing staff - so helpful and friendly! It was a pleasure to arrive here.
Location
Beds were uncomfortable, noisy street. Bathroom was crammed even difficult to sit on the toilet.
Location
You had to give them the key every time you left. Our room was TINY
Great location, beautiful bar/lounge area, very friendly staff!
Air conditioning units outside our room were quite noisy!
Nice decoration good location
Rooms to small
The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were beautiful.
Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, it would have been nice to have had air conditioning in the room.
This is a great location to visit Dublin. It's a charming old hotel. The area is close to Trinity College, the National Gallery of Ireland, Grafton Street, parks, many restaurants and shops. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and the bar is also very nice. The rooms are small but comfortable.
The rooms do not have air conditioning and when there's an unusual heat wave you have to rely on the fans. We used the fans but it wasn't until the last day we realized it wasn't blowing air forward. Very strange. I'm sure if we mentioned it earlier, they would have provided us with different fans but we didn't think it was broken until the last day.
Big rooms, very clean and tidy. Food was good and the dining room for buzzy for lunch and dinner. Staff very friendly and the location is excellent - just a couple of minutes walk to Dawson Street, Stephens Green and Grafton Street.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly welcome from door man and location
Bed was q little sore (if I must be picky)
Dutiful stylish hotel only 8 min walk from grafton street ,with lovely bar and great food
Nothing
Beautiful common areas. Bed was comfortable.
Extremely noisy. I could hear people walking above me all through the night. I’m sure everyone heard me walk as well as all of my floorboards creaked. There was no temperature control options in the room. It was too hot over night, but the street noise was also very loud- seagulls all night, people having conversations outside, loud cars driving down the street, so I couldn’t open the window to cool the room down as all of these noises which already kept me awake, would be amplified. The bathroom was very narrow- inclusive of the shower. There was no fridge. Still water was filled up each day, which I was appreciative of, but not the sparking water for some reason, and this was warm and flat anywhere. There were no usb or charging points in the room. The bar was very expensive and not great.
The breakfast was excellent.
No complaints.
Great central location - walking distance to many places of interest. Great breakfast. Staff very accommodating

It was well located however the rooms were tiny and the street was. So noisy I didn’t sleep all night. Really uncomfortable
Great location, near museums, galleries, restaurants. Very helpful staff. Comfortable bar/lounge area.

The lobby is beautiful is beautiful and the staff were great.
Staff said they would validate our parking for the public parking garage but it still cost us €20 upon leaving the garage. The room was quite small but it was nice.
Beautiful historic building in a central location to museums and restaurants
The old fashioned keys to the room doors can be a little tricky
Very clean and charming hotel. great location!!!
Great location - my “go to” hotel when in Dublin. Staff are very friendly and professional.

Showers don’t work well
Location, very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. I would highly recommend it 😊
Superb location in Central Dublin, but also apart in an ideal neighborhood The staff is top notch.
Area was perfect, even on a busy road it was quiet in the room. Staff were attentive and all lovely as we spoke to a few. Very clean and updated hotel beautiful bar area.
Some windows didn't open (expected as old windows) hot in the room.
Location
Room so small there wasn’t room for a bedside table
Location was perfect.
No aircon.
Great location
Very old and cramped room.
Location, friendly staff, good food
Tiny bedrooms
Great location, very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended it
Food was good. However we could not book book breakfast on line we paid in the resturant. We were charge 25 euro each Howere I discovered that the cost for aguest is 16 euro
We were told that we were getting a small double. We are too old to have to climb over each other to get into bed
Wonderful staff - shoutout to Ger for being so accommodating and friendly despite our busy schedule! Comfortable room, great shower and fabulous coffee. Also it's a superb location on the doorstep to everything in Dublin.
Our double room was a little tight for 2 people but we're both small humans so it didn't really matter. Worth noting there's quite a network of Georgian corridors and sets of stairs going up/down for those with reduced mobility, but not an issue for us.
My room was extremely dark, room 116, needed the light on at all times. I often book single rooms in hotels but have never before gotten one with a single bed, Im 50 years old and haven't slept in a single bed single I was a child, very uncomfortable and disappointing. I picked the hotel for location only because I don't know Dublin City, but for the price I paid I was really dissappointed overall.
