There was a renovation of the rooms that we were not made aware about. There was no hot water in the evening (I assume because of the renovation). The king size bed felt like two beds connected together. There was a room shift prior to the checking in and the manager had an opportunity to let us know about the renovation so that we can settle our expectations for morning drill. But, absence of hot water - and hot-to-cold abrupt switches - come on, that wasn't a good experience. Though, yeah, memorable, and we had quite a lot of laugh about it.

Everything was super perfect. Close to city etc. Beautifully renovated room and well equipped with everything you needed for cooking with a full size fridge and laundry facilities avail. Definitely recommend and would come back again. 10/10+ for me. Stayed 2 nights for 2 Aug26.

Have stayed here a number of times over the years. Location is great, Staff a real friendly and helpful. The 1 Bedroom unit is perfect for me and my kids for our stays. Was nice to see they are Modernising and renovating all the rooms in stages. The ones that have been done look great.

The Whistle from the howling wind through the windows. This wont last long as they are installing new window joinery to the property.

Tidy

Had a wonderful 3-night stay at this motel! The room is super nice and we slept really well. A special shoutout to the lovely receptionist at the front desk—she was so warm and friendly during checkout, and even recommended some fantastic local tourist spots for us. We truly appreciate her kindness and local tips. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

The room was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped. If we have the chance to return to New Plymouth, we will definitely choose your hotel again. We are visiting from Vietnam.

Maybe an extractor fan in the shower

Clean and tidy, although bathroom could definitely do with updating. Staff were nice and easy to communicate with, they were accommodating of our late check in.

Very cold, little heater did nothing to heat the place up and not enough blankets. Had to use a leaky hot water bottle to try stay warm. Electric blanket only managed to keep one half of us warm while the top half froze.

Location perfect for us as 5 minutes from competition venue. Also close to CBD for meals. And coffee at shops excellent.

No grips we mainly only slept at accommodation, watched TV and used large lounge for team discussion and team debrief.

While the place is a little dated, it was warm, tidy and excellent location. While the main road was next door we heard no road noise and the staff were just lovely. It also looks like they are doing renovations.

The room was equipped with everything we needed. We also liked the location. It was only two minutes from the city, conveniently positioned along the main road, and included assigned parking.

Bathroom Maintenance There was a small water leak under the toilet bowl, but it was manageable. Shower Controls The shower knob was a little difficult to turn, especially when my hands were covered in soap.

I think it's not far from town. Water pressure in the shower is good.

It's noisy as it's located at the main road. We were at the bottom unit, so we can hear every movement on the top unit. We also hear the water flows from the bathroom and toilet which is pretty disturbing. The wall of the unit also in half renovation and incomplete. Attached photo. Sponge in the kitchen is so dirty that it should be changed. Beds are soft so if you want a hard bed that's not the place for you.

Whenever I turn on the water to brush my teeth or shower, the temperature fluctuates drastically between extremely hot and freezing cold; I am unable to regulate it properly. On a separate note, please be assured that the sofas are completely undamaged, and the cleanliness of the place is up to standard."

On arrival my wife asked the guy who greeted us if we were on the ground flour or on the second floor. Sarcastically he replied on third floor. It was a poor attempt at humour, if that's what it was. Very dated.

There was nothing about accommodations I didn't like

We had a really comfortable stay, and the staff were really accommodating when our plans changed slightly. The shower was great.

Studio had everything we needed as a family.

Studio was outdated can do with a make over to modernise in the future - But still comfortable and affordable.

Easy self check in, comfortable and clean room. Great value for the price I paid, I was expecting to find something bad to explain the low price but it was all good! I could hear the traffic but it wasn't loud enough to be a problem.

Someone stole my carpark, but that's not the motels fault.

Nice outlook. Spacious and comfortable with good cooking facilities, a pantry to store food and a good sized fridge/freezer. Lovely comfortable bed. Nice furnishing and very good value for money. Nice not to have bright lights outside all night.

We love the location because it is so close to all main shops and groceries. Close to the Coastal Walkway, close to the Parks. Amanda and the staff were helpful in all our needs. We will definitely keep Parkside Motel and Apartments in our mind when we will again visit New Plymouth.

My daughter and i came away covered in flea bites which we have now bought home and the apartment next door were very noisy up to midnight, the beds were very uncomfortable and the room smelled like animals albeit drenched in an obnoxiously odorous air freshener. Never been disappointed with our stay in the past and is usually ,my daughters favourite place to stay in NP

Die Lage war ganz gut, vor allem für Wanderer, die Richtung Mt Taranaki wollen.

Die Unterkunft ist super veraltet, die Bilder zeigen nicht wie das Zimmer und der Zustand der Möbel aktuell aussehen. Das Zimmer ist auch sehr laut, da es sich direkt an der Hauptstraße befindet und schlecht isoliert ist. Dazu funktioniert der Druck der Toilettenspülung nicht richtig und wir hätten mehrere Probleme damit.
